HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR SERVICE. The weren’t responsive when I had my car taken there. I had to physically stop by for updates. Then they threatened me and called repeatedly demanding money. I thought it was a good idea going here because they said it’s cheaper than going to Mercedes for service. When I picked up my car- the service light remained on. The couldn’t even wash the car like dealerships do as an appreciation for using their service. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worse enemy!

This is a locally owned and family run repair shop. They have always been fair with our car repairs in the pricing and will explain what the problem is. They also are a 8 to 5 shop and no weekends not because they arent busy its their family time. And I respect that.

After a minor mechanical failure about 400 miles from home (despite having a completely full shop) Dan personally made sure to get me back on the road in a few hours without taking advantage of the situation and charging a fortune. Dan is amazing. Had an estimate from a Honda dealership in OFallon quoting me $3400 to fix my accord. Took it to Dan for a second opinion and he pulled the spark plug and showed me the issue. Had it fixed and back to me for less than a 10th of the estimate I got elsewhere. He had my business from now on. Highly recommended

I cannot recommend Dans more highly. They do great work at a fair price. We moved to Wentzville in 2006 and needed a mechanic. We were big fans of Car Talk on NPR and they have a list of recommended auto repair shops. Dans was on it. Weve been going ever since and have recommended it to several friends. All three of our children have used him, including our daughter who lives over an hour away in central Missouri and our son who is 45 minutes away in St. Louis. They are scrupulously honest and fair.

My daughters 99 Volvo C70 had a massive oil leak on I-70. We had the car towed to Dans based solely on positive reviews. They werent kidding. He worked through a difficult drive shaft seal replacement, kept us informed, provided accurate estimates based what the potential findings were, and worked with us to do some critical parts replacements (timing belt, serpentine belt, engine seals) that could be done for no additional labor as he put it all back together. I talked to Dan afterword. I believe that he is a good guy that charges a fair price for honest work. I think that he will do the same for you.

These people are the best. They are very honest and straightforward and do great work. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the St. Charles or Lincoln County. They are a pleasure to do business with and worth the drive.

I requested a safety and emissions test and without consulting the staff decided I didnt need safety because of the age of the vehicle (I had purchased from out of state which is why I needed it). I didnt notice the error and when I took it to license the vehicle I was missing the safety. When I called they said that it was their error but that they couldnt get it done because the guy who does that wasnt in. Never a sorry or the slightest bit of regret for inconveniencing me. Very disappointing because they have done good work in the past.

I can always count on them for an honest evaluation of any car situations. Family own; thats exactly how they treat the customer too. As long as I live in this area, I will bring my vehicles here!

I would recommend anyone taking their cars here. It is tucked away in Wentzville but they are extremely helpful, considerable, and inexpensive.

I took my car here and they told me it would take a week to get my car in, which I was fine with. I chose Dans because they supposedly specialize in foreign vehicles and I own a BMW. The next 3 WEEKS can only be described as a communicative disaster, plagued by awful service and scratches on my vintage cars that I cannot afford to fix. It took a week and a half to even take a look at my car, they didnt ask my permission before ordering parts and starting to do work, nor did I get a quote on this work. I called to try and get a quote and she said it shouldnt be more than 250-300 dollars. They never called me for updates on my car, I called them everytime. When my car was finally done after waiting for three weeks, I got a bill for $640 and the hood of my car had LONG and obvious scratches that werent there before I dropped it off. When I spoke to the mechanic while trying to pay the bill, he spoke as though he knew nothing about BMWs, which is a foreign car. He said one of the parts I needed no longer existed, which is untrue as I found that very part online literally minutes after leaving. Overall, my experience at Dans was filled with poor communication, inaccurate information, and less than satisfactory service. If you care about your car, find somewhere else.

I lived in Wentzville quite a while before I found out about Dans Foreign Repair. I had several bad experiences with my Honda and Toyota before I found Dan, but I am now a happy customer of his. Dan is always more than fair and he always tells me exactly what he is doing and why. I never buy a car until I have Dan check it out for me.I have quite a bit of knowledge of auto mechanics and what he tells me always makes sense. Dan can be trusted, hands down.Dan and Elizabeth are top shelf in my book.
