A while back I had them put on an exhaust on my F150 Coyote. PERFECT job and it does not sound like a diesel or a tank. Great tone and sweeet fit. I’m going to use them again next week on our car. Great folks.

Bob the owner is great! Very reasonable pricing and they almost always get it right the first time in. Not to mention Mechanics Jim and Mike I believe are their names. Finding s good mechanic can be a difficult task, but Compare Automotive has never done me wrong. I want to mention that if you choose to get a few different estimates, chances are they will be the cheapest price with top notch work. I cant say enough good things so well leave it at that.

We have used Compare Automotive for all our car repairs and tire purchases for as long as we have lived in Lake St. Louis. We have been extremely pleased with their reliable service and affordable pricing. I cant get my husband to buy a new car because they keep doing such a great job on repairing his older one!

Do not hit a customer with a cost at the end of a transaction. I also work in service and we hear more and more that customers want to be informed of extra charges, not surprised by them once the work is done and a bill is on the hook. You pay nearly $1200, and get told AFTER THE WORK IS DONE that you owe a credit card fee. But there is a sign stuck to the counter, which is tucked behind an ad for a $199 service (I did notice the advertisement, not the credit card fee behind it). Who doesnt freely accept credit cards these days? Also, who gets a customer knee-deep into a $1200 repair and THEN tells them their options for payment include the outdated cash or check, and a $50 fee for credit card?? Then, proceed to argue with the customer when they ask why it was not presented at drop-off? As one service adviser to another - you guys need to do better.

While passing though with out truck and 40’ RV, our truck broke down. We were sent by another care shop that couldn’t get us in to them and we were very happy. They not only got our truck right in they let us hook up our RV and spend the night. They were very affordable and friendly. The truck is running great. We would recommend anyone to get your work done there.

Ive been to 2 other mechanic shops trying to fix my truck in the last few years. Not only did they fix my truck but they explained everything to me and are some of the nicest people youll ever meet. They also gave me a Great price.

John is so honest and caring!! He has taken care our a couple of our cars (repeatedly) and has always gotten them done in a reasonable amount of time and always a decent price!! I also had a minor medical urgency, John took control and took care of me. He wouldn’t let me leave or drive until I was feeling better! So considerate!!! The guys working in the garage are knowledgeable and get things done in a reasonable amount of time!! Thank you guys so much!!!

These guys quoted me $325 to install a PREFABRICATED cat back exhaust system. Literally just cut off the old and hang the new. If you don’t want the business, just say so. Trying to extort people is a crime. I’ll never trust these guys and I’ll never ask them for anything again. Thieves.

I have been to other places and been ripped off. compare is the best. they took care of my problems. one place wanted to charge me over $1000 to fix my car. and was very disrespectful. compare fixed it for less than a quarter of the price the other place said it would cost. i go to compare every time i need something now. every time has been a good experience.

I went to to this shop to get my muffler put back on after getting the wrong aftermarket exhaust sent to me, and also wanted them to check out why my axle was leaking. First off they told me that they werent able to put the stock axle back muffler back on so they tried to talk me into buying a brand new after market Muffler. i told them that they should rethread the nuts and put bigger bolts in. Problem solved, that was $75. The axle issue they told me that there was something wrong with my transmission and they had to drop it to find what was wrong and then they recommended that i just buy a whole new transmission for $1,364..... I went and got a 2nd opinion and i found that all it needed was a new axle and seal.. i do not recommend anyone to go to this shop at all. They try to take advantage of the under informed..

Worst place ever! They call the cops on my friend because the truck have to many problems and scare to broken down on him...they just want him to leave truck over there so they can get money out of him..wouldnt go back again!! save your money

Had my car towed to Compare from Dobbs, I was told the engine was bad and it was going to cost me over $3000 to get it replaced. Compare spent about 20 min on it and found that the starter was locked up. $235.oo and an hour later I was back on the road. Im very happy and will forever be a customer. Thanks Compare. Stanley

I went in a day earlier to setup a replacement of my catalytic converter I told them I wanted a OEM fit magnaflo cat. The next day I took the car in and they tried to put in something else but because of the header it wasnt possible. The cat was already cut up so I asked that they put in a universal cat using magnaflo. I was told the the charge would be $380.00 I told them that the part only cost $100.00 but he still charged me $380.00. I didnt get what I wanted and was over charged.
