I asked for gel nails and I got acrylic on top of showing them a picture of what I wanted, they said they could do it and had absolutely no idea how and tried to charge me $85 for something they were doing very incorrectly and a majority of my nails are crooked!! I walked out there out of $100+ and completely dissatisfied

After being cut multiple times by the nail file, I left the salon with jagged, uneven nails. When I noted the lack of smoothness in the nails, the nail tech completely disregarded it. Definitely not returning to this salon.

They took off my acrylics with an acrylic nail tip and left my natural nails damaged and looking like I ripped my acrylics off on my own. Then they proceeded to charge me $15 for it.

Acqua nails is my GO TO NAIL SALON! The staff couldn’t be better, always treating me as a client and friend every time I go. They are taking EXTRA precautions opening back up for phase 2 - plastic shields, contact tracing, temp checking, and more. Been coming here for well over a year and will continue to come here and nowhere else. Love them!

Best location for service and Covid-19 cleanliness!!!!!Ive been coming to this place for years, but wasnt sure after Covid-19 shutdown this spring. The owner has thought of everything. During shutdown, they updated their entire store--the distance between stations, the waiting areas, bathroom, etc. Its all been optimized for CDC guidelines...even down to the temperature required at check-in. I love this local business and am a big believer in supporting small businesses...especially during this season. If youre a regular or a new client, you cant go wrong trusting your manis, pedis, and waxing needs with the ladies of Aqua Nails. Lets come out and support their business in our community so theyll still be here when this is all over.

I went to this salon a couple days ago to get my acrylic nails removed. My set was about 3 weeks old but was new (no lifting). The nail tech was very impatient and repeatedly tried to pry the nails off. I told her multiple times it hurt and to stop. My nails are now dented, bruised, very sore and thin. My right thumb is split/cracked in two places, and my left pinky is so thin and bruised that warm water burns. I feel like I can’t use my hands. I won’t be returning simply because it’s evident they don’t actually care about the health of your nails.

This is my favorite nail place in DC. They do gel and don’t destroy the nails underneath!

I usually just walk in so never sure who does my nails. Most of the manicurists Ive had do very nice work, are friendly and attentive.

Lee is my girl, she is very good to her stuffs. Ive never had someone else.

Disappointed - my pedicurist talked non stop to fellow worker, staring as people came in the door, making comments, snaring. Very uncomfortable to have someone working on your toes while not paying attention. Won’t go back!

Ive never had a group of staff make me feel less welcome. If they dont have time for a service then they should not have said they could take me when I called. I heard a loud oh god over the phone when I asked to confirm the address and then got eye rolls from the time I walked in. I will not go back.

Staff are always pleasant, the space is clean and bright, and my pedicures last FOREVER.

Todays experience was below the level of quality Ive experienced in the past.This isnt the place I go when I want a luxurious/high quality mani/pedi. This is where I go when I want a quick/good mani/pedi. And they have delivered on those many times. Todays delivery was flawed in many ways.The technician was disengaged, distracted, rough, sloppy, and inattentive. Did she give me a decent mani/pedi? Sure. But theres a threshold level of customer service that was missing.
