Brian and Luis at Capitol Hill Stay are fantastic, as are their properties. We stayed at 823 A st NE, Apt 1, and had a wonderful time. The apartment was clean and surprisingly well-appointed. We were there for 5 weeks and the owners were attentive to our every need (not that there were many). We loved the neighborhood - Eastern Market is such a dream to have so close. I highly recommend this small company and their great and interesting apartments. Also, theyre pet friendly!

Great place to stay in Washington. Walking distance to the National Mall monuments and museums. Very comfortable and quiet location, parking spot is a great plus if you are driving in. Kitchen has all the utensils as well as washer and dryer. Brian and Luis are very accommodating and responsive.

I wanted to take sone time to thank-you for opening up your home to my family. The home overall was well maintained and I love the kitchen as I love to cook. The area around the home was quiet and the neighbors were very welcoming . The location was great. I loved being able to walk to the local stores and resturants. Although, wed did not drive around D.C., It was great having a parking space available when we traveled into Virginia. Luis is amazing and responsive to any questions or needs, Overall, I would rate our stay a 10+. Looking forward to getting back in 2022.

We loved this property, and Brian could not have been more responsive and hospitable with our needs. The propertys location fit nicely into our plans of walking to all of D.C.s points of interest from the monuments, Nationals field, Marine Barracks, and the Capitol complex. The property was clean and tidy, with plenty of room. Not long after arriving, it felt like we were at our own home within a quint and walkable section of D.C. Thank you, Brian!

We stayed a couple weeks in an apartment *directly* across from the Supreme Court, which was a thrill, tbh. The apartment was a decent sized studio (with a separate sleeping alcove and dining nook), very well appointed and spotless. And a very functional and higher-end kitchen. The building is a nice one, not too big, very easy access, and completely quiet. We loved the location, and there are convenient stores (Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, etc) and many restaurants within walking distance. And obviously, very convenient to attractions. The owner (Brian) was helpful, quick to respond, and very friendly, just through messages. Very well run business, they know what they are doing. Highly recommended!

This is a magnificent secret gem of a rental in DC. Ive lived in DC for 12 years and I can tell you that this is one of the best neighborhoods (and blocks!) in the city. Communication was excellent, stay was clean, quiet, and close to everything. Fast Wifi. Brian is fantastic host and very attentive. And how wonderful to find a rental that is NOT a basement!! And we were able to rent a parking space with our stay! A MAJOR perk in DC. This is definitely my go-to spot whenever I need to be back in the city.

Location, Location, Location! The Capital Hill carriage house was the perfect spot for a weekend getaway with my partner. It is located just a short walk from Congress and the national mall, with a convenience store and a DC bikeshare just two blocks away.The actual house is an adorable converted carriage house that was well-stocked with extras like an AC, washer and dryer, dishwasher, and extra fans - which were much appreciated in the hot and humid weather. We accessed the home using a code, so it was great to not have to worry about taking a key with us. The Internet was fast and easy to use, and a welcome guide was placed at the entry welcoming us.Downstairs was a living room/kitchen combo with an adorable small backyard where we had our morning coffee. The kitchen had a microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, and of course plenty of silverware and dishes for our use. The washer and dryer was right next to the kitchen and was great for cleaning up our clothes before we left. In the living room was a small, comfortable couch and smart TV. The TV had Netflix and Amazon prime, along with youtube TV, so we had plenty of entertainment options. There was also a small dining table next to the washer and dryer for us to use.Upstairs we were greeted with a clean, bright bathroom - with soap, shampoo, and toothpaste ready for our use. There was a large desk at the top of the stairs that was great for us to use as a Valet for our luggage, but it would also make a great laptop workstation. The bed was big and comfy, with USB charging ports and extra plugs on the night stands.We greatly appreciated this home, and would recommend it to any couple who want to visit the DC area - especially tourists wanting to see The National Mall, Whitehouse, or the Museums. We will 100% be reserving this property on our next visit!

Keyless entry at every door and back gate made check-in a breeze. Veteran-owners, that actually communicate, look out for you and check in.Blown away by the back patio and garden. A large BBQ grill, patio furniture, a tall privacy fence. A fully stocked kitchen with a huge refrigerator, and anything else you would ever need...and I mean food processor, crockpot, stuff youd have in your own home. The den with a huge flat screen tv, two large leather sofas with blankets, a large coffee table, magazines and books. Another large room behind it with another sofa, a large armoire and a large dining room table. Both rooms sofas sufficient to sleep an adult each.The hallway bathroom was immaculate, large jet tub and stocked with starter toiletries and toilet paper for a few days. Plenty of towels/was clothes that were so plush and dry like hotel towels.The bedroom actually blew us away. Huge bed with nightstands, massive dresser for clothes, a sitting area with a leather chair...and a back door directly to the back patio.This place was dreamy, tall windows and lots of natural light, ceiling fans in every room, the air conditioning works SO WELL, quiet neighbors and neighborhood and safe at night. This place was maybe a 5 minute walk to the supreme court and capital building. It was perfect and so accurately listed.

My friend and I came to Washington DC for a girls trip to visit her daughter and my son, who is a student there. We loved the apartment from the first second we stepped into as it instantly felt like a home away from home. It is beautiful and well furnished with high ceilings and tall windows. The apartment is immaculate and every detail is attended to, including a coffee pot that makes delicious coffee and quality linens that are so comfortable after a long day of seeing the sites. It is located in a safe neighborhood and is a nice walk to The Eastern Market, independently owned boutiques, restaurants, a CVS and a wine shop. The apartment is so inviting that we decided to cook there one night and it was so convenient that the The Eastern Market is full of lovely fresh vegetables, fresh meats and a bakery. Outside the market were street vendors with quality goods to sell which was so fun to browse. I have found that where you stay can make such a difference in the tone of a vacation and this one certainly did. It was a such a wonderful time and I’m looking so forward to visiting DC with my husband and staying there again.

We visited Washington for a tourist trip as a family, and this house exceeded our expectations. Its an impressive historic 3-story townhouse close to Capitol. The location was perfect: the neighborhood is quiet, and at the same time close to everything. We liked that we could get everywhere by walking, at the same time we were away from the city noise.Space: it was nicely decorated with a homely feel and spacious, plenty of shared space and 3 bedrooms. I personally loved the books collection on the 2nd floor living room. Recommended: if you are in Washington and want to feel like a local :).

Had the pleasure of staying in one of the Carriage Houses. It was a perfect little home for our stay with a 2 block walk to the Capitol, corner markets nearby, and well-lit street and sidewalk paths. The Carriage House was cozy and clean and Brian went above and beyond to make our trip comfortable!

My Husband, my 10 month old, and I stayed at Brian’s place for an extended stay and it was absolutely wonderful. The location is perfect and safe. My wife, son, and I stayed here while our house was under renovations, and it was a real sanctum of peacefulness and comfort on Capitol Hill. Having once lived on CH, I had never seen this place before but was delighted at its history, amenities, and proximity to restaurants, the Library of Congress, and Eastern Market. Brian was responsive and timely in communicating too.

Both Brian and Luis has truly been kind to my family and I. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was stress free. Traveling with baby and dog can get stressful really quick! They are such great guys. The neighborhood is great. You can walk to the nearest park or the mall. Essentially everything was walking distance. Delightful tucked away and heavenly with the brick all around us - beautifully renovated, comfortable bed and sweet little space to enjoy in between enjoying the park right across the street and surrounding area. We walked to everything. Brian, our host, was 100 percent on top of our communication and it was a seamless and wonderful experience we hope to repeat again and again. Charming place a few blocks from the Capitol. They were clear about their Coronavirus procedures and the kitchen had all the basic dishes we needed. Jimmy Ts is just around the corner and the perfect breakfast spot.

We had the best stay here. COVID has made travel feel so scary (especially with kids). We felt so safe here. Everything was clean and I could tell they were following all of the COVID guidelines. I spent HOURS looking for an affordable option that had seperate ventilation (so many DC spaces that originated as converted houses are sharing heating are AC) and I just didnt feel safe. The fact that the air ways were seperate was a huge deal.The space was perfect. The bed was super comfortable, the den was adorable, the back patio lovely for the kids to run around a little. We had plenty of room to watch a movie in the livingroom and comfortably eat together at the kitchen table. Its hard to make sure both happen at a DC stay! We didnt explore as much as we would otherwise because of COVId nerves but we still managed to walk to a lovely grassy area to play and look at the Capital in the distanceI highly recommend this place

Great location! Couldnt ask for better proximity to everything we needed. The apartment was very well maintained, with high end appliances, beautiful countertops, and a nice touch of antique furniture. Owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome and gave great service. If you stay here, there are lots of great restaurants around, but try Jimmy Ts for breakfast. Highly recommend this apartment, and will stay here again when we are back in DC for work.

I rented the Carriage House for a little over 8 months during a long term temporary assignment in DC. The location was superb with easy, safe access to the metro, grocery shopping, the Capital, Mall, and downtown DC. The Carriage House was beautifully decorated and had absolutely everything I needed and felt more like my own apartment than a rental. The property manager was great to work with, was always responsive, and often went well beyond what was expected. I have already recommended Capital Stay to colleagues and will continue to encourage visitors to the area to use them for a night or two or longer term rentals. I couldnt have enjoyed staying at the Carriage any more than I did.

To say Brian and Luis are accommodating and the properties they own and manage are move-in ready is an understatement to the quality and professionalism you receive as a temporary tenant. While we only got to experience two rentals while we rented from Capitol Hill Stay, both were immaculate, quiet and secure. Each had a complete kitchen with plenty of space and utensils to use, all in good condition. While the properties met our expectations, Brian and Luis exceeded. They were quick to respond to our inquiries about extending our stay, and when that wasnt possible they found a property nearby and even gave us a discount. We would have extended our reservation further, but (unsurprisingly) these properties go fast. If we ever need to stay in or around Capitol Hill, we will most certainly be going through Capitol Hill Stay.

We stayed in one of the Capitol Hill Stay apartments for 5 weeks in November and December of 2018 because we were renovating our one bathroom in our house. The experience was great. It was super easy to access the apartment with the key codes on the doors, and the place itself was very nice and had all the amenities we could need. They also allowed our two cats to stay with us which was extremely important to us. Luis, in particular, was extremely responsive and helped me extend the original length of our stay not once but twice. He answered my texts immediately and gave us a great rate. I highly recommend choosing Capital Hill Stay!

I stayed in Brians place with my boyfriend and dog, we drove down from NYC. The duplex we stayed in was great! The place was clean and there were small amenities that came in handy (a new sponge and dish soap which is great because we use the kitchen a lot)! The location was super close to the capital. I had the opportunity to stay on the top floor of this building this year when trying to figure out relocation for a new job. I absolutely would recommend this spot to anyone. Keypad doors made it easy to enter while also maintaining a very safe and secure way to get to the room (which was really important to me). Apartment was wonderful, very clean and everything worked well. Not only a wonderful apartment and space, but there were a bunch of little details that were clearly thought through to make my stay comfortable. Luis was great, super attentive, and made sure to be available and help with any of my questions. Area is very safe and is easy walking distance to great areas such as H street and the Eastern Market! I loved my experience here!

The owner and team went out of their way to accommodate me while I was attending extended training in DC. They were very communicative and friendly throughout the process while worked with me as my departure dates kept changing. I highly recommend CHS and will definitely stay with them again in DC or in Austin.

After moving among several short-term rentals while our home underwent repairs thanks to a major plumbing malfunction, we finally found longer term accommodations with Capitol Hill Stay. From the moment we contacted them we were impressed with their responsiveness and sincerity, and the property manager Luis couldnt have been more amiable and accommodating. Throughout our nearly seven month stay, he responded within minutes to everything from a heating issue to a momma squirrel who took up residence in a wall, handling it all with professionalism and good humor. We were so lucky to have found such a wonderful place to stay with equally wonderful hosts during an otherwise stressful time. Cannot recommend Capitol Hill Stay highly enough!

Where is the option to add more stars? Five isnt enough. What a fabulous experience we had with Capital Hill Stay! The apartment was clean and ready for us from day one. It was spacious and beautifully decorated. It had all the amenities; literally, everything one could need. This is a minor detail for many but for me it was huge: there was no smoky or unpleasant odor. I am very sensitive to such things. However in this home, I was fine from the start. Brian has prepared a fantastic book, giving the ins and outs of things in the apartment and more importantly, of the neighborhood. I used it extensively during my stay, hitting the recommended restaurants, bookstores, etc. I found the neighborhood safe and charming. I miss being there because coming home was like coming home to a quaint, cozy hideaway and to a luxury hotel, all at the same time. I could go on, but suffice to say...stop wasting time reading this review, just book with them right now before someone else steals your little slice of heaven in DC.

What a wonderful gem tucked away in the Center of Capitol Hill! The apartment is located in the vicinity of all the national museums and metro stations are just a few minutes walk away. The neighborhood is pleasant with some restaurants and small convenient stores easily accessible and the building itself is safe and secure.The apartment is clean and fully functional with a small kitchen and full bathroom. The apartment sleeps up to four people with a queen size bed and pull out couch. Cable and internet are provided for your convenience.The owners are very attentive and accommodating, making sure to address any of your requests and/or concerns in a very timely manner and follows up to ensure that your accommodations are to your liking.Overall, we were very happy with our stay and will be returning for future visits!

Brian was an amazing host and his place was perfect (just a two blocks west of the Supreme Court). The place was clean, inviting and perfect place to relax after a long day of sight seeing. We (a family of four) had plenty of space to spread out and relax and we even had a number of meals at home after a long day of walking and sight seeing. The amenities were a plus--comfortable living room seating, comfortable beds, clean environment and a fully stocked kitchen with everything needed to prepare meals. The biggest plus was the availability of parking on site. While we used local public transit, being able to park our vehicle and drive to other parts of DC was important. Brian and his team were responsive to all of our needs and gave us space that we wanted and needed. We will definitely stay at this property (or another of Brians propertys) again.

Our family stayed in a property with Capitol Hill Stay for a few days and had a good experience. The unit was neat and clean, and the kitchen was perfect for making some eat-in meals. Restaurants, grocery, and all the sights we could pack into our trip were within easy walking distance. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. We rented a house from Capitol Hill Stay for about 8 months. The house was in a great location, and we enjoyed our stay very much. Capitol Hill is the best neighborhood to live in DC if youre looking for a quiet, convenient, and peaceful place to live. Since we rented an old house, it required some maintenance. But they responded to the maintenance needs promptly. Our dog loved the house and walking around the neighborhood also. My husband and I are very glad to have chosen Capitol Hill Stay!

Review for Millers Court ApartmentThis is a fantastic place to stay for visiting or short-term work in DC. It is on Capitol Hill a blocks from numerous museums, historic, and government sites. It is also only a 10 minute walk to the amazing restaurants at Eastern Market and Barracks Row (Roses Luxury is absolutely worth waiting in line for). It is a nice alternative to living in a giant generic apartment complex and the neighborhood is safe and interesting. We really enjoyed living in a historic building and the upstairs bedroom is roomy and comfortable. Heat, Air conditioning, and appliances all worked well. Capitol Hill Stay is responsive to questions and requests. One note is that the building is historic and the stairs are narrow and steep.

Update: **Happily I am back traveling to Washington, DC and the first thing I did was check Capitol Hill Stays. Luis and Brian were incredibly helpful, and Im already booked for another trip to stay in one of their apartments. The apartments are super clean and the service exceptional. ** Since last fall I have stayed at several of the Capitol Hill Stay properties around Capitol Hill. I would highly recommend any of them. Yes, there is convenience, cleanliness and location. But what sets Capitol Hill Stays apart is their incredible service and willingness to help accommodate any request. Recently I lost something in one of the apartments. The owner came by to help me look, and, found it! While they were there they checked other things over, changed the battery in the door lock, and he told me this was the first apartment he had renovated and had done the work himself. It is still beautiful. They have helped me work out dates and places with my crazy work schedule. Their communication is outstanding. Capitol Hill Stays is my go to place when Im traveling to DC.

Great stay. Ended up in their Carriage House, two blocks from the Supreme Ct. and US Capitol Building. I couldnt have asked for a better location. Neighborhood is quiet, quaint, charming, and right there in the middle of things.The Carriage House is unique and kind of fascinating. It has everything we needed, including a nice modern and large kitchen, and plenty of space. This was so much nicer than staying at some extended stay place or a hotel. Definitely recommend.

Capitol Hill Stay was a wonderful company to work with. I stayed at two different apartments with them during my four month detail in DC for work. Both were clean, well stocked and in wonderful locations. I loved being so close to the Capitol/Supreme Court and to the bars/restaurants on Pennsylvania Ave, Barracks Row and Eastern Market. I loved my stay! The apartment was super close to the Capitol (about a 5 minute walk) and all the museums--excellent location! The place was very quiet, clean and updated. I especially loved the tile work in the kitchen and bathroom. The hosts were very nice and went above and beyond to make sure I had a great stay! Absolutely perfect!

The studio on 15th St is really well equipped, nothing fancy but very comfortable, quiet and a very good location - bars, restaurants, supermarkets and public transport are within a couple of minutes walk. It was the perfect place to stay for a few weeks while I found my own place and got to know the neighbourhood. The management were super responsive and resolved the minor issues I had immediately.

Stayed here for 2 months while shopping for a new home in Washington DC. The location is perfect (A street NE, in Capitol Hill, is wonderful), and the apartment was perfect. The place was immaculate and stocked with everything that we needed. There was even a kitchen aid mixer! Linens were nice quality - so the bed really felt lovely and comfortable. The best part of this apartment is the huge patio - lots of sun, privacy, and comfortable seating. I would highly recommend Capitol Hill Stay.

The apartment was clean, spacious and quiet. The response time to any inquiry for any issue was immediate and the property manager was polite and knowledgable. I loved the neighborhood and its proximity to shops, restaurants and public transportation. The neighbors were friendly and the backyard was a perfect retreat for our dogs in between walks. during our stay, we had 2 feet of snow and the walkways in the front and back yard were shoveled and clean first thing the next morning. I highly recommend staying with Capitol Hill Stay. Ive done both long and short term rentals here and would happily return.

Our experience with Capitol Hill Stay was excellent. Brian and his staff went above and beyond, even providing us with heaters during unusually cold weather and providing my mother-in-law with a place to stay when she visited. They were extremely helpful to my wife and myself. The apartment was also beautiful and we loved staying there. Historic looking and quaint, with modern appliances and beautiful features in the kitchen and bathroom. Very clean and well kept. We had no complaints. The location was great as well. Its within walking distance of many great restaurants and sites. Of the many places weve stayed on official travel, this has been our best experience by far.

I cannot recommend Capitol Hill Stay strongly enough. We came with 2 families, 5 kids total. After a day of walking and sightseeing, this perfectly located house was so comfortable and relaxing to come back to. The home was very clean, well-stocked, and full of history itself. It added so much to our experience of Washington DC. The park across the street was a big plus also!

If you are looking to stay in DC for short term and have nowhere to stay, Capitol hill stay is PERFECT! I booked a studio for my dad to visit, and he loved everything about it. The location is great, and its close to everything. Management is wonderful and are very quick to respond and help. The studio was in great condition fully equipped (everything you can imagine, all you gotta do is bring yourself and have your cloths with you). I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for short term housing!!

This place is incredible. Not only is it facing a beautiful park and perfectly central to Capital Hill dining and nightlife, but its also quite and clean. Everything down to the artwork and pillows was just the right amount of tasteful and comfortable. I would have stayed longer if I had more business to do and definitely plan to return here next time Im in DC.

What a great place to stay. You walk in and it immediately makes you feel like you are in our nations capital. Excellent location with plenty of places to eat that are close by, whether it is Pizza, Asian, BBQ or a pub. We walked to dinner most nights. But, It is also well appointed if you are cooking in. Another good thing is that it is within walking distance to Union station.One more positive is the place is owned by a retired Vet (although i was unaware when i booked) and I always try to support our troops. Communication with manager was excellent, quick responses and checkin checkout was seamless.thanks for a great stay!!!

Went above and beyond to make sure we found the best place when evacuating for hurricane with 2 adults and 2 dogs. Left things behind and went over to mail them out immediately. Highly recommend!

Lovely Capitol Hill RefugeBest ever -- my husband and I have stayed at several properties in the Capitol Hill area -- this by far has surpassed all the others. Sunny, spotless and just three blocks from the Capitol! This area and nearby Eastern Market offers conveniences, great food resources, restaurants and dining options. The front garden was lovely and I am envious of the spectacular Japanese maple. The evenings were quiet and tranquil -- all within blocks of the Folger Library and Library of Congress -- and easy access to the metro. We will go back. I have no reservations about recommending this property to anyone who is visiting the area. The management is responsive and takes scrupulous care of the property. Staying here was a joy and contributed to our best visit ever in April. It is convenient to numerous restaurants, transportation, Smithsonian and Eastern Market.

This place was clean, in a great area (within walking distance to Capitol Hill and local restaurants and bars), and felt very homey from the moment I walked in to the apartment. Brian was attentive and responded immediately to all my inquiries. I would recommend this place to any friends or family visiting DC in a heartbeat.

For the time that my wife and I were able to stay in DC, we were the luckiest people in the city. We enjoyed daily walks past the Supreme Court, Library of Congress, and Capitol. We were surrounded by quaint corner stores, good restaurants, and the feeling that we lived in a quiet neighborhood in the midst of a bustling city (because we did). Very quaint cosy apartment in a quiet tree lined street right behind the Supreme Court building. Great location. We stayed here for over 3 weeks and LOVED it. If not for few issues that the management fixed immediately, I would have given this rating a 5. My 6 year old son and I walked to all the museums every day and roller bladed at empty lots at the supreme court premise, walked to the Union market and Eastern market and many other restaurant and shops around. We would return for sure if we ever get the chance.

We stayed in Brian’s Airbnb over Memorial Day weekend. The location, amenities, service, everything was exceptional and very much appreciated. This made our stay very pleasant. This apartment was everything we needed as a couple in town for a wedding and more. I will definitely be looking to stay here again my next visit to DCCheers,Chris

My wife and I come to DC a lot, to see our kids and grandkids, usually for Christmas and summer holiday. Usually we stay in a hotel like a Marriott Extended Stay. This time we stayed in this apartment.We made the right choice. It has tons of space. The roof deck and huge gardens (well, huge for DC) were super even in fall and winter. The apartment is comfortable, gets enormous light, and was well furnished with all we needed. The neighborhood recommendations were especially helpful (they have a really useful Google Map that they did up with info on local restaurants, where the ATM is, etc) .The big bedroom is big. The second is pretty small but the futon in it was high quality and very comfortable for our son that came and stayed two nights. Super location. The owner isnt kidding when he says you will love the neighborhood. Charming.We met the downstairs neighbors over coffee. Theyve been here for six months and couldnt say enough nice things about the owner and their place. We have no problem recommending this property.

I can give Capitol Hill Stay an enthusiastic five-star rating. I needed a place to stay for a few months over the holidays while I was between houses and this was a great choice. Brian and the staff were excellent hosts and responded promptly to any questions/requests I sent along.The apartment itself was just what I was looking for. It was roomy, clean, quiet and stocked with the necessities (kitchen supplies, linens, pillows, etc.). The location was very convenient for my needs, with grocery stores, restaurants and, most importantly, not one, but two different Metro lines (Red and Blue/Orange) only a short walk away. I would stay with them again without a doubt!

I stayed at a Capitol Hill Stay property for five weeks and it was a great experience. Perfect location-close to everything on Capitol Hill, Eastern Market, and H St; quiet; safe. Check-in procedures were easy and clear. The space was exactly as represented in the photos. I had one minor maintenance issue and it was fixed the same day. Also, the property manager, Luis, went above and beyond to get some mail to me after the post office messed us delivery. Would definitely stay here again!

Excellent. Perfect location on East Capitol. Quiet neighborhood feel with the Capitol and Mall four blocks away. Safe as could be. Bike Share stand outside the door and Metro stop was an easy walk. The apartment is small but has an open floor plan and plenty of light. Brian and Andre were great hosts.I would recommend Capitol Hill Stay for either short or long stays in DC particularly for people who want to get a better feel for the city than an impersonal condo complex can provide.

This location is very convenient to Union Station and has multiple restaurant options in easy walking distances. The mini-grocery is also in walking distance and has a nice selection (something between a convenience store and a full grocery). Ride share pick up is very easy right in front of the apartment. There is a bit of traffic noise, but nothing that impacted our ability to sleep comfortably.We had one issue with the temperature in the back bedroom. It was one of those things that we would have just managed through, but Brian and his team do a great job of communicating and checking in regularly. When I mentioned the issue, Brian and his team took care of it promptly, and then followed up later to ensure all was well. Brian and his team are fantastic and I felt like I was staying at a friends home.

Loved our stay! Apartment was charming, comfortable and only about 3 blocks from the capitol. The neighborhood is beautiful and stores as well as restaurants are only blocks away. Brian and his manager Luis were wonderful to work with. A big thumbs up!

Our family just visited this area for the first time together. What a great experience! Our apartment felt like a home away from home. Very clean, cozy, and conveniently located within walking distance from the main attractions. We plan to come again and hope that this same location will be available!

My family and I stayed at a carriage house and had a lovely time. The place was clean and had everything we needed. The location was top notch. Wed stay here again in a heartbeat.

My daughter stayed with Capitol Hill Stay for over a month June-August. The apartment was in a great location (steps from the Capitol). The area is very safe with lots of places to eat and small markets nearby. The apartment was just as pictured. It was very clean and appliances were new. Luis (property manager) met us on her arrival and helped with luggage (which he didnt have to do) and was always available to answer questions or if any assistance was needed. Would definitely recommend staying in one of their properties and we would not hesitate to stay with them again.

I recently stayed at 623 A Street NE while I was visiting DC with my son. We just loved how large this apartment was and how close and convenient it was to Union Station and the Mall area. We could walk easily to everywhere we wanted to go! The kitchen and bathroom were just beautiful and had top notch finishes. We had a very large private courtyard (beautiful and relaxing!) and our own private parking space (hard to find that). The owners were excellent..friendly, professional, accomodating. We could not have asked for a better stay, and would give this a perfect 10!!! So much better experience than any hotel.

We found Capitol Hill Stay while searching for furnished short-term lease properties in preparation for a military permanent change of station. Most of the options were corporate run and had the feel of a hotel. Capitol Hill Stay leases historic residences that are a part of some of the best neighborhoods in the District. We couldnt be happier with our choice to lease a studio unit just a few blocks from the National Mall. We felt safe and right at home among the permanent residents of Capitol Hill. The unit was extremely well stocked with all of lifes everyday necessities, including a washer and dryer. After several military moves, Capitol Hill Stay made this our best yet!

This place was amazing! The location was perfect, between the Eastern Market and the Capitol. There is parking available, laundry in the units, and it is dog friendly. The owner, Brian, was very accommodating, and assisted my family as well as my parents with our needs. The interiors are updated, clean, and comfortable. If I could’ve afforded the monthly rate, I’d probably live there!

Fantastic experience! This apartment could not be in a better location unless you wanted to sleep in the Supreme Court. The amenities in the apartment are excellent - premium tv, pots/pans, air conditioning, suffice to say its everything you need to be comfortable. Coordination and communication was seamless. Highly recommended!

There isn’t one bad thing I could say about Brian’s home! The location is great, the size is perfect & it has all the essential amenities we need. This is our second time staying at Brian’s & we’d definitely stay again!

Would highly recommend. The owner and property manager are both friendly and helpful. The property was very clean and had great amenities, making the duration of 13 week stay comfortable. Its also in a great location for sightseeing and museums, and not far from food and bars.

Why stay in a hotel when you can stay in an apartment for the same amount? Stay 1.5 blocks from the Supreme Court and a five minute walk to the Capital. One of the best accommodation finds I have ever had. The Carriage House had everything we needed for a 4 month stay.

The accommodations are excellent! Everything was very clean and comfortable. The location is also great and in a very safe neighborhood. The owner and property manager were so kind, efficient, and helpful. It is the perfect property for a short or long term stay.

This is the perfect rental for the D.C. area. Centrally located, we walked to just about everything we wanted to see (Capital Building, Library of Congress, Supreme Court, Newseum, etc.), and there are a ton of good restaurants just around the corner. The two-story design, plus the full kitchen, makes it feel like staying in a comfortable home, rather than some anonymous rented room. Well definitely be staying here again the next time were working in D.C.

Weve stayed at Capitol Hill stay places three times now over the past two years. First was at Millers Court. These are GREAT little houses super quiet and fun. Second was at 311 A Street Apartment 3. This one was really nice too, with a superb patio. Third was at 623 A Street Apt 1. This one I think we could live in forever. Massive backyard, lots of charming character, and a beautiful block. Capitol Hill Stay management was very good. Very responsive, even on weekends. We can only vouch personally for the places we were, but Id think the rest of their places would be just as nice.

Excellent location for tourists to visit the museums and main monuments. Safe and very quiet neighborhood. Comfortable apartment, exactly as described on website. Manager was friendly and quick to respond to our requests.

My husband and I stayed in a small, adorable Capitol Stay apartment across from the Supreme Court for a summer when I had a fellowship in D.C. It was perfect. The apartment was clean and comfortable, the location could not have been safer or more convenient, and Brian was a truly thoughtful and responsive landlord. We even had our own parking space right outside the back door. The properties are in cool buildings and locations -- MUCH better than staying in a generic corporate apartment. If I get another fellowship in DC, I am definitely going to rent with Capitol Stay again.

Location location LOCATION. Plus, really great property that made my stay easy and comfortable. The street is surprisingly quiet given the location, and anything I wanted (food, drinks, entertainment, metro, etc.) is a short walk away. Have stayed more than once, and definitely will again.

I was lucky enough to stay at two Capitol Hill Stay locations for a few weeks each, and the experience was exactly what I wanted and expected based on all other reviews. The location itself was perfect, being a brief walk to the most iconic areas of the city. Everything was in walking distance, and the neighborhood was very enjoyable. The buildings were both very nice and cozy, well furnished, and had all the essentials, such as extra towels and sheets. My five week stay gave me the experience of a lifetime, one that I was lucky to spend here.

The property was gorgeous, well-maintained, and very comfortable - I especially appreciated the well-equipped kitchen. I used this apartment for a short business stay for a conference. The place was ideal - welcoming, great condition, good quality furnishings, terrific kitchen and in a really good location, not far from Capitol Hill and Union Station. Arrival and check in was really easy and Brian was really communicative and helpful and responded immediately when I had a question. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend anyone renting.

I stayed at 623 A St NE Apartment #1 from January to June 2015 and I loved the place. Capitol Hill Stay was exceptionally easy to work with and very responsive to any concerns I had, however minor. They helped place me in a residence for 6 months after 2 other agencies failed to meet my requirements. I strongly recommend using their service if you need a place to stay.

I stayed for 6 months at 623 A St., #4, NE. It was a very enjoyable experience. I loved the vibrant and safe neighborhood (and the easy walk to my job and Eastern Market) and the apartment, which was tidy and well-equipped with everything I needed. I really appreciated the support that Brian and his property manager Brad provided. Capitol Hill Stay is a first-class business. Any time I had a problem (and I had very few), the response to it by Brian and Brad was quick and effective. It is not often that one can offer a recommendation without any reservations whatsoever; this is one of those times.

I stayed in a Capitol Hill Stay property on 2nd St NE for four months this fall. The property was well maintained, and whenever I had a problem (which wasnt frequent) I was able to get it quickly resolved. I stayed with Capitol Hill Stay for 2 1/2 months during my house hunt. While I considered a hotel, I decided that I would rather be in a place that felt like a home, so I decided to give them a try. Im glad that I did!! The apartment that I stayed in was spacious, modern and very clean.The unit featured a garden and rooftop deck and luckily, even though I was there in Fall/Winter, I had the opportunity to enjoy a few warm days outside enjoying the sun. The entire experience from reviewing, selecting and paying for the cottage was very easy and pleasant. The welcome letter was very comprehensive and made for an easy late arrival. This apartment was ideal for my stay in DC. Perfect location!! Beautiful neighborhood, walking distance to the Capitol and other sites as well. There are plenty of markets and restaurants conveniently near the apartment. The apartment itself was great, lots of room and had a great home feeling to it. The absolute best. THE best. The property manager could not have been more attentive. The home was sparkling clean, odor-free and beautifully decorated. The location cannot be beat. Walking distance to Eastern Market, Capitol, Supreme Court, Celebrity Chef Spike Mendelsohns We The Pizza and Good Stuff Eatery, the best burger in DC at EatBar, Trader Joes and of course, Starbucks. Feels like home away from home. Will be back!

110% satisfied with my stay. The unit was well maintained and offered everything I needed for an extended stay visit, Capitol Hill Stay runs a top notch lodging option in what has to be the safest neighborhood in the country. The proximity to the Nations Capitol and National Mall made walking around and seeing the sights a breeze, afterwards was able to grab a bite to eat or a drink at one of the many options in the neighborhood.

We stayed as a family for our Christmas break. The home is fantastic with historic charm and great amenities. Our family of 6 plus pets stayed comfortably in the large bedrooms and ample community spaces. The location is a mile from the National Mall with a park across the street for dog walks. Bus stops are nearby, a neighborhood grocery store and eateries are all in easy walking distance. A parking space is available for the building which is a commodity. Uber or Lyft rates are cheap because its so close to almost everything. I will always check for availability of this home in future D.C. trips.

This was a great apartment. It seems recently renovated and was very clean and had all necessary amenities. The wifi and cable worked well. It is about a 10 minute walk to the Capitol and 10-12 minutes to a large supermarket. d When I contacted Brian about a minor issue he responded immediately. I was very happy to have stayed a week here.

I stayed at one of Capitol Hill Stay apartments at last month for 8 days. The communication with Brian and Luis was excellent throughout my stay. The apartment was comfortable and exactly as described, the access to the apartment was very simple and its location is fantastic for a foreign visitor like me.
