Got there first thing this morning. There was a line but it proceeded quickly. Actually opened a little early because of the line! There was a lady counting to make sure we did not exceed the COVID maximum and asking what each one of us needed. They treated me like a king! Easy in and easy out. Mailed several packages. Picked up an oversized item. Then they shunted me quickly over to a different window because the boxes I was sending were different categories. They even let me use their hand truck to get a heavy pick up out to my car. Fast courteous service. Actually enjoyed my visit. Great job!

If I could balance out the 2.1 rating I would. This place was great! I got supplies to send a letter over seas and they were great. Very helpful, got what I needed, and I sent the letter!

GETS THE JOB DONE. Nothing special or fancy. Lines often run long. But they’re centrally located & have capacity for basic services.

Send out a box to AS on Oct 14 and my mom received it today Oct 19. How awesome is that? The waiting time for a box to arrive AS is about 3 to 4 weeks. Thank you for all your hard work and excellent customer service. God bless!

Came at 1 on a Saturday not knowing that’s when they close and got turned away and need something that hasn’t been delivered to our house because the post man decided not to even place it by our private property while we were home and when we went to stop her she just left. I have something very important that I need from the packages that was supposed to have been here Thursday.

Paid for 7 boxes to get here in 2 weeks so they would arrive in a timely matter of arriving to the state. It has been 4 weeks since then, how could a company possibly charge you for so much money and take longer than promised.

If it was possible to give no stars, I would. I got charged $50 for mailbox keys that don’t even work. I tried to call them about it, but they don’t even pick up calls.

Their phone number is to some other office out of state for nationwide needs and never picks up, and their delivery people will not make an attempt to think before giving up on delivering your package. or, just leave it at the wrong house.

If youre nice to your mail persons, theyre nice to you. Not once have I had an issue with this post office or the mailman. The mailman is kind and does his job quickly and accurately. If one treats the post office workers with respect, they take care of whatever one needs exceptionally well. The trade goes both ways-if there is an issue, one cant immediately get mad at the poor post office workers who are hearing about an issue for the first time. If one is kind, one gets kindness in return. Although the lines can be long, if you go during non peak hours, it is easy to avoid the lines. As for the phone calls, while it is bad practice to not pick up, as stated prior, the post office is understaffed and frequently busy, so do try to be understanding.I do not believe in full five star ratings because there is always room for improvement. However, with that, I also do not believe in one star ratings as doing a job to any degree, whether it be superb or sub par, should be rated between 2-4 stars if the job was done, not taking into consideration the bumps in the road it took to complete.With that being said, a five star rating was given in an attempt to counteract the one star ratings.

Yesterday the mailman told me he didnt have my package and would return in about 45 minutes with it. I waited 2 hours and he didnt return. Then today I left a note in my mailbox to call me so I can come outside to pick up my package (1 day late) and he just disregarded the note and left a could not deliver to location note with a bunch of other letters. Now I have to wait over the weekend to go and pick it up in person. Annoying.

Cant get info on my package you failed to deliver. Gave me a slip with a article number but fails to show up online and cant call a human.

In the five years we have used this Post Office, we have had nothing but great service. There are lines, I wont argue that, but then again what business doesnt. On occasion we have had a Postal worker that wasnt all that happy, but hey, we all have off days. We have discovered the best times to go and as I stated earlier, have experienced nothing but excellent service.

They NEVER answer the phone! If you fill out paperwork to have you carrier leave packages at your house, they still dont do it. Unfortunately this means I waste 2+ hours picking up anything I have shipped in if I use the post office! When I go to the post office they are generally friendly and take care of whatever Im there for. So, for that reason they did earn their one star! Use FEDEX or UPS, youll be happier and its not really much more expensive!

These guys are really awful. Dropped off three packages on Dec 17. They held one (international) for two weeks before finally sending it to customs. The other two (returns to amazon, prepaid), they have lost. It is now Jan 4, and still no word on where my packages have gone. Tried calling, but they will never answer the phone. No wonder the USPS is going under. They suck.

This is the most frustrating post office I have ever encountered and I have lived in a lot of different places. The mail carrier does not follow delivery instructions. I ordered packages on Amazon Prime and was supposed to have had 2 day delivery (should have arrived on the 8th). The packages were clearly marked “Do not return to carrier facility. Residence service requested”. I kept getting delivery attempt notices in my mailbox stating that I wasn’t home to receive a package. I work from home. I am home at all times. I have a medical condition that prohibits me from driving. I rely on efficient delivery services to help me get things I need. Regardless, I did finally take an Uber ($30 round trip) to the post office to retrieve my packages as the majority of the order was my daughters birthday presents. Because the carrier only left one slip for the order despite it being broken into several packages, the woman at the counter missed one of the 4 packages. I didn’t realize this until I got home. I called the USPS helpline. Not helpful. I filed a complaint online and requested redelivery. That didn’t happen. One of the notices stated they would try again on the 24th. I was HOME ALL DAY on the 24th. When I checked the status on Amazon, the notes state that I refused service on the 24th and my package was returned. I can’t help but feel that this was retaliatory and vindictive. I live in the middle of the island and am unable to drive. Life in general is frustrating and challenging enough. I shouldn’t have to fight the postal carrier to do what they get paid to do. I should add, the package that never arrived was clothing. It likely would have easily fit in the parcel box.

I get the services I need. Also, even when the line is long, the employees definitely pay attention, and most times Ive ever had to wait in a long line, someone estra came out by the line to locate my bulk item that didnt fit in my po box.

Thieves!!!! Liars!! And all around shady!I had a package sent to me 1-day priority mail. It was supposed to arrive on a Thursday. Delivery date was changed to Saturday in USPS tracking system. Saturday comes around and there is a hand written note in my mailbox saying no packages today. Ok, so I wait till Monday.... Monday rolls around; Tracking info online now states that package was delivered on Saturday!! Except now there is ANOTHER note in the mailbox that read the same, no packages today. So I go to the USPS store. Lady tells me that the system says it was delivered. When I produce the hand written notes, she doesnt know what to say. I tell her that I was home both days and nothing was delivered. Says that shell have the mail carrier supervisor call me. Shocking, that hasnt happened!First off, there is no reason for a hand written note in the mail box. That alone implies something shady is happening. Then it happens again!And now there is no sign of the package! File a claim!? The woman at the store said that, since it was labeled delivered the claim will be dismissed. I will find out what happened to my package. If I dont then I will run this up as high as possible and file a legal lawsuit claim. BTW, it is a FELONY to tamper other peoples mail!

I missed the usps delivery last Wednesday 6/21/17 then a slip left because I need a signature, so I went to the post office to claim it. The guy said try not to come today, maybe your package is not here yet! So I was like ok!, then my sister re schedule it for re delivery 6/23/17 then I waited all day and no one came, until now! I wonder if I still can go to the office without the slip, since the guy took it when I went there!

I wouldnt say customer service is bad, I think they are just grossly understaffed. The Lady I spoke to today was very helpful and understanding of my problem. Although I had to make like 50 phone calls to get one answer.

The are some people over there are nice, but the delivery & communication there are terrible. I had a package send to me, and it was sent back to it original owner. Even tho the mail person should just left it on the front door that had a big garage and its open no walls noting just pillars. I have a dog that is not even big and is on a small leash. I dont see the aloha spirit or even effort to make my package important. There are people who cant always be home on certain times, and dont need to make time in there busy schedule for something that is so simple to do which is drop off the package. Also give us a paper to leave a note stating that I need to grab my pack age at kapiolani. I mean that is not what a person needs who waited so long for the package, and having to pick it up somewhere you dont to go. I do not trust these people at all and have a hard time believing that they are apart of USPS.

Could not put letters in the drop box outside, it was too full on both sides. Waited out by the front door until a customer that knew the code came to check his post office box. I put my letters in the drop box and heard at least 5 people in the back talking- knocked on the door for a full minute, no one answered. Totally rude. Then I tried to call, no one will answer the phone either. They just dont care!

Filled a form to have parcel left in townhouse parcel box or leave in front of door. Sure enough they took it back to the post office. No surprise! Called the 1 800 number and the lady said how should she know, were hundreds of miles away from you, call the post office. Called the local post office, they dont even answer the phone, I wonder why they have a 1.6 rating. Always getting my neighbors mail and visa versa. What a joke!!!

I heard the mailman pulled in front of the house and when I pick up the mail I didnt know I was suppose to recieve a parcel. Mailman didnt even bothered calling out for my package instead I got a sorry we missed you card. Really?!?! I was less like less than 10 ft away. Ordered a temporary mail forwarding service and have the confirmation number for the receipt of this request, unfortunately this post office botched everything up. Now my life is in limbo leaving me to have to contact all entities to correct their error. Interfering with the mail is a federal offense, irregardless to what has resulted in this error. What are these people getting paid for, if they cannot do their job correctly.

Courteous, and the only time I have had an issue the manager took down my number and called me after investigating the incident to inform me what happened.

This post office is the absolute worst. Workers are rude and unhelpful, and they NEVER answer the phone! Why this post office is allowed to operate this way is a disgust. Something needs to be done. The positive reviews are most likely from locals who have never known anything but subpar service.

Mailman delivered mail today but failed to pickup my outgoing mail even with the flag up. Mailperson frequently delivers my neighbors mails and also from a street above with the same address number but different street name. My neighbors also receives my mails. Lucky to have honest neighbors!!! Once my package tracking was out for delivery but mailman came and no package...called the Waipahu P.O., they then contacted the mailman and had the package delivered....it was in his delivery truck.UPDATE: 8/2016 Again received mail with same street number as mine but different street name...how many of our mails have been received by others??? Our mails are no longer private thanks to Waipahu USPS.

The mail carrier that delivers the mail at La Hiki at Mehana in Kapolei Hawaii is always late. I have seen him dropping the mail at 5 pm. When we use to have the other mail carrier he always dropped the mail of no later than 10 am. Something needs to be done about this carrier.

The Mail Persons... are still putting mail in the wrong mail boxes.today I got 6 letters for my neighbors in my mailbox and 1 was a large Retirement check..!!!!There is a problem with the carriers..They are too lazy to deliver your packages, or certified mail,they leave a note like they tried deliver it..But, not true..I sit by the door when waiting for my packages..I have to go and wait in line at the post office because they are too lazy to do their job :(At least once a week they mix up the mail..I always get other peoples mail in my mail box and Iam missing mail..I wish the carriers would be better :(

This office is HORRIBLE! They delivered a package to my home, but left a notice saying I had another that needed to be picked up since I wasnt home, which I was. When I got to the P.O. the item (bed sheets) was leaking from being exposed to some form of liquid & they attempted to still get me to accept which I did not.I later mailed my tax info to the IRS via express mail & requested to have it certified to ensure its deliver w/in 3 days & a week later it still was not & I was simply advised to hold onto my receipt & contact the IRS.Lastly, my mother overnighted us some baked goods and 2days later we never received it. When I contacted the P.O. I was told the carrier will be calling me bc according to her she was unable to deliver due to incomplete info...Im STILL waiting.

I have worked in the Waipahu area for over 20 years. Im Happy for the improvements the post office is making on their customer service in Waipahu. Hats off to Dennis and Francine who always keep up a smile and great customer service. Just opened a mail box in Waipahu and was happy with the new system that notifies you when mail is in your box. I was getting a package that I was soposed to sign for. The post man never put a slip in my box saying he attempted delivery, hence the package sat at the Post Office for a week without my knowledge. When I found out it was there, I called them to have it delivered on that Saturday. They took my name, number, and asked if I would be home to which I replied yes, have him call me and I will meet him at the mail boxes so he doesnt have to drive down the development. Well Saturday came, I waited all day and no call, no knock on the door. Nothing. The mail man is too lazy to to do anything. These are the type of people our Government employs...

For whatever reason I was left a vacancy card in my mailbox saying that I would no longer receive my mail. The last 3 days I have been calling this office to find out why and the first two days was nothing but busy signals, and today it finally rang...and rang...and rang...then it was picked up, silent for a few seconds and hung up on. This happened 3 more times, they just kept answering and hanging up. Horrible service

Terrible customer service, never answer their phone. Instead of delivering the package left a notice that I had a package and needed to pickup, I was home all day. Went to the post office same day at 3pm and was told the driver hadnt returned yet. They had attempted delivery at 9am. Horrible office!!!

Thought id leave feedback since i didnt see any positives. Weve lived here many years, always use this post office. Yes weve had ups and downs but its a comfort to see the same workers working hard and very helpful. Things happen sometimes not so great but ive never had a bad experience gwtting assistance.

BEYOND CRAZY CROWDED!!! It gets really hectic going through the drive-thru, turning into the building, parking you name it. Expect a long wait and crappy customer service... Really sad.

The postal carrier keeps giving us other peoples mail. We get our neighbors mail CONSTANTLY. The lady that delivers mail to us is very rude. We are located in Waipahu near Don Quiote.

Sure you may have customers inside, but you can answer the phone! Ill be contacting the postmaster about this place, this is utterly ridiculous. You have one job man, and you cant even do that? Maybe youd like another job elsewhere then.
