Big Japanese market, especially for a small island.Very nice selection of staples and canned goods and freshly made bento. Not a big selection of produce though.Fresh poké, deli counter and paper products.Helpful, friendly employees.Plenty of parking, just a little bit out of the way.

This is the place to get you fix of Japanese food for sure. The best part about this store to me is that they have a whole lot of obscure products that you would never find in any of the big box stores or even the local Foodland. Where you looking to try and make you’re own Takoyaki? Well they have the skillet, flour mix, sauce and even picks for that. Did you find yourself watching a bunch of YouTube videos and now want to test your hand at cutting vegetables? Well they not only have kitchen knives there, but they carry very high quality chef knives from Japan for people looking to up their game in the kitchen.

Asian grocery store with a large bento/steam table/poke station. Caters mostly to locals and those who work in the shipping and industrial area. Definitely worth a stop if youre in the area. A lot of good local bakeries in the area as well.

Never had a bad experience here....the staff seem courteous enough and the prices are excellent! I usually pick out bento for a quick and satisfying meal. But today I bought 3 of the chicken laulau and was disappointed. Our bento comes with the laulau, chicken long rice and kalua pig not to mention rice and sweet potato. I think the chicken in the laulau had freezer burn. Was so disappointed! But everything else tasted great.

A large selection of bento boxes at decent prices. Food was good but not great. Good selection of Japanese food, and some Japanese kitchen and home wares. Lots of Japanese candies and snacks. There is a small covered area with tables outside where you can eat.

Really like product selection and low prices and friendly staff. The one exception is when using ebt snap card, you cant use your points that you saved from the Tjs card. Last 5 visits staff has not been able to give me the points I saved up. I believe management needs to find out and train staff to help everyone with that problem. Aloha

My wife and I have taken part in Maui Marathon from Japan every year more than fifteen times in succession. After we get to Kahului Airport, we check out our rent‐a-car at first and go to this TJs Warehouse routinely to get our food for ten-day stay because we always stay at condo. The superb point of this store is that we can obtain 納豆 (natto), 油揚げ (fried tofu←cerrect?), 明太子 (spycy cod roe), うどん(Japanese wheat noodle), or various Japanese ingredients. On top of that I can get delicious Japanese Sake like 越のかぎろひ, 久保田 (昔は獺祭もふつうにおいてました)。After that we usually go to Takamiya Market, which is located within ten minites driving from there where we can get Teriyaki lib pork or Korean BBQ pork and so on. After that we go to Kaanapali and register to Maui Marathon and go to our condo. The location of this store is a little obscure so I recommend to check its location in advance to avoid unnecessary confusion. Anyway, I strongly recommend to try this shop at least once, espesialluy travellers from Japan. Trust me.Post Scripts:On our way from Wailuku to Kahului, we often drop by Waikapu Fresh Eggs which offers us extra fresh eggs; I guess, maybe the most fresh eggs in Maui.

One of the best little super markets on the island for Asian food and cooking supplies. A wide array of mostly Japanese snacks, sauces, seasonings, and gadgets. We go by twice a month for packaged bean mochi, canned Thai tea, Korean cracker snacks, stuff like that. Fresh fish and poke is excellent. Im not a big fan of simple seasoned fried fresh bento plates, but theyve got a nice variety of those too. The prices are reasonable and definitely a lot cheaper than buying stuff in the Asian section of any supermarket on Maui. Go there to load up on snacks. You wont be disappointed.

One word: BENTO! Lots of local-style variety.I probably come here more often than I should. TJs is the only place on Maui (that I know of) that carries the Japanese goods I look for when I cook. They carry an ok selection of Japanese goods from different shoyus and sauces to noodles and dashi stock powders. I almost always pick up a Japanese sweets thing whenever I go because they always have it prominently displayed when you enter the store. For miscellaneous knick-knacks, like musubi molds to cooking chopsticks to vegetable shape cutters, TJs is where you need to go to on Maui for Japanese goods...since there is no Don Quixote or Daiso (or similar) here on Maui.

A local Asian grocery store that has Japanese kitchen & home wares. Love this feature! They also have imported foods (frozen natto, edamame, etc) along with local Hawaii tsukemono in the refrigerated section. They also have ready made bentos for lunch. The prices are great! Fun to look at all the Japanese imports!Kudos! They expanded their hours!

The store is open from 7am (8am on Saturdays and Sundays), but the poke mochi and side dishes start at 9am. You can buy Mochi / Marasada from the same counter from 1 unit. The shop looks like a factory and is a little hard to understand, but it ’s good to believe in GoogleMap.
