What a terrible experience I had with these people I brought my bucket truck Ford 750 to them to fix a wiring harness that they told me that they could definitely take care of when I took it there it’s set for three weeks and in the meantime they called me in between and told me that they would call me tomorrow and let me know on the truck .well tomorrow came and I never heard from them .days went by then I called up there and they told me to come pick the truck up that it was driving better but I would have to take it to Ford to get it fixed so I took it to Ford and now they’ve messed up the wirinharness so bad that nobody else wants to go behind what they did to fix the truck. Not to mention they Charged Me for new parts to put in the truck when I pick the truck up I looked in the backseat and the parts were sitting back there not even installed I had to go back in the shop and tell them that they didn’t even install the new parts to adjust the bill to $900 which is still ridiculous to have to pay for something that’s never been fixed .what a terrible experience would not recommend them to nobody.So now I have a $50,000 truck that nobody can go behind and fix because they messed the wiring up so bad in the thing I don’t even know what to do at this point .place is a joke.

Big rip off....Called told them I had self adjusting clutch to be reset said they could do but couldnt do it ok no problem. i told them to just check differential fluid I think its low due to just replacing wheel seal night before. It was low, the tech filled it up 30 min job. All to a whopping total of $293.05 for differential fluid. I was never told or advised of the cost or how there labor worked. They Charge a 2 hour minimum Poor customer service and slow checkout time. Dont come after hours unless its an emergency, is my recommendation and get prices up front for their service. i wont be back thats for sure.!!!

I brought my truck in to have rusted-out hose fittings/lines on my transmission replaced. They up-sold me on replacing front-end parts, which was fine. Happy with the work that they did.When I drove to work the next day, an old, rusty transmission line next to the one they replaced leaked a small pond of fluid (I don’t know why it waited until the morning after their work to let loose).I brought it in specifically to have the rusted transmission lines/fittings addressed and they were so focused on additional work (total 18 hours of labor at $125) they neglected the sole issue I brought the truck to them for.To their credit, they offered to drive to me and help at no charge, but I declined any more of their help. My truck is stranded until the new lines come in —having someone else do the work.

Generator went out and contacted Beach diesel repair. Same day service and Mr Rick Bolger came and repaired my generator. Outstanding service! If I’m back in this area and need work I will call them

I cannot say enough amzing things about Bruno (our mechanic) He is very thurough and understands that my vehicles are my business. Always has me back on the road in a timely manner. I have a truck, a RV, and two generators that he has worked on for me. I will never take them to anyone else!

Our truck wouldnt start! The battery was drained from the cold weather. The staff was friendly and patient they immediately assisted us... Rick came out and jump started us right away. He was very thorough and had a great personality!! I would definitely tell other drivers about Beach Diesel Repair...

We are back on the road again. We stayed over in Virginia Beach for a night after we ordered the air bag and had it shipped to Beach Diesel Repair. This was the only we 24 hour shop that answered their phone on a holiday weekend. I am praying you dont need any repairs but sometime we do. If you do, give them a call and get back on the road. I am posting their card. Friendly workers and staff.

Awesome service! They dropped everything to make necessary repairs and get our driver back on the road safely. Pricing was more than fair for the amount of work needing done. Would highly recommend and will definitely go back if we are in the neighborhood!

I called these guys at 3:48 PM while on the road to fix my A/C. 5 pm and I’m headed out the door. The gentleman I spoke with was super friendly and eager to help. I pulled into the shop and they immediately went to work. I was sweating like a hostage and everyone wants an arm and leg to do the work. This place is fair priced and very friendly. I would recommend them to any driver looking for a mechanic that takes a “fair wage for a fair days labor”. Good service and good people. Thanks Beach Diesel.

Never ever. Charged me $1200 for oil and catalytic installation.

I had an engine failure on my sailboat on a Saturday and I needed an urgent repair. Beach Diesel Repair was the only place open in the weekend and arrived Saturday afternoon. They are not specialized in marine but still came. Mechanic Rick diagnosed the issue to sediment in diesel fuel which had been in the tank for 3 years. This was clogging filters and pumps. The problem couldn’t be fixed Saturday as parts were needed. Tuesday Rick came again and we got the spare parts. And with a small separate diesel tank with clean diesel he got the engine running. Rick went above and beyond helping me out in the repair in the tiny hot engine space. And definitely recommend him.

I got excellent service, the young man they sent was a veteran, polite, professional. Fixed my generator. I am 100% satisfied !!! Great service, great work.

Despite the COVID19 they had my truck for over 2 &1/2 weeks due to distancing their staff caused a delay on repairs..... they were reasonable and fair with the cost for I had my power steering pump replaced and the recommended tune up for my 04 Ford Diesel 7.3 power stroke turbo. The only negative thing I can say is that they’re poor on communication for I had to call them daily for the status of my truck. Hopefully my parts are covered under warranty for it was never stated on the final receipt.

Truly blessed to have found this shop when we had brake failure. Other mechanics in the area wouldnt even take a look for several weeks where as Beach Diesel had us back on the road in just a few days. The only downtime was waiting for parts which is very understandable. We were back on the road the same day parts arrived. Thank you for getting us home safe ❤️.

Installed wrong part refused to to replace with right part. Left with same problem I came in with; short 1700.00.Part changers at best, not professional, and no concern for customer.

They are not serious, I requested a repair service, at first they were very friendly, they told me that they would be there without fail at 8 in the morning the next day, at 8 am they charged me 470 dollars to my card and the technician had not arrived, I wrote and called them saying that they had loaded the card without the technician having arrived, they told me that I was on my way, at 10 am they send me a text message with conditions of service that they had never mentioned, even so I replied that There was no problem but nothing that the technician arrived, finally the technician did not arrive and they told me that I had given the wrong address, I continued being patient and I told them that I could wait until the next day, they send me a message saying that perfect that the technician would be there at 9 am and that they would charge an extra charge for tolls, the next day the technician never appeared, and when I called they told me that they had not sent it because I had not confirmed the payment of the toll ; Imagine, they had charged me 477 dollars in advance and they did not send the technician because supposedly I did not confirm that he would recognize the 20 dollars of the toll, result of the operation, the technician never arrived, they charged me 477 dollars for something they never did, and then they claimed that The conditions of the contract were those, conditions that they sent after loading the card, and all this is demonstrable by the hours of transactions and messages ... they are layers.

I was in out last min this weekend thanks to beach diesel I appreciate them for getting me back working before holidays it was a blessing they worked with me. Highly recommend.

This is the worst repair shop in Hampton Roads. They are very unprofessional, and have no certified mechanics in the shop. I took my truck there for simple repairs. When i picked it up they led me to believe that the repairs were done. Two days later i took it back, because i was still having the same issues. They explained that i signed the paperwork and that i should have checked the truck out before i drove it off the lot. So they wanted to charge me another $2000 to fix the same problems that i just paid them to fix. The manager was rude and unprofessional. This company does not care about satisfying its customers or providing basic customer service. BUYER BEWARE.

I havent had any issues. Ive never paid $250 for any oil change for a gas vehicle. First time Ive had the oil changed on my diesel truck.Nice people, but cant help but feel screwed over.**RIP OFF**Nonetheless, thanked them for the help as I was done calling stores to inquire if they had a lift capable of lifting the truck.

Poorest customer service ever received. No point in making an appointment -- time not kept. They actually caused more damage then was repaired. No communication with the customer even when sitting in the same room! Failure to follow-up, failure to predict deadlines, failure to manage work load. Failure to even mind their business while new customers were trying to get service! I watched as a potential customer came in, looked around (no one was in the office or shop) and left. Of course, my work was not being done either. My opinion is that if you are black you might have a better chance... but, not likely.

Rick Did A Good Job On Servicing My Wrecker.

I vent there with very small leak on radiator. After doing a pressure test he told me that the problem is the hose. So I told him if you’re sure that’s the problem then change it. Just to change an 8” hose and 2 clamps on my freightliner truck they charged me $430.00 which I could’ve done it in 20 minutes.After that was done I told him to do another pressure test. When testing was done he told me that the radiator still leaking and there’s a small crack on it.After that he was still trying to convince me to let him fix it and the labor charge was 800.00 plus the partsNow you tell me how do you rate this cheater?I gave him that star only because he gave me a bottle of water

Beach Diesel Repair saved the day! We were on our way to Virginia Beach for some camping. We were just outside of WIlliamsburgh when we noticed our tent-trailer (pop-up) was listing. When we looked under the trailer, we noticed that a leaf spring had completely broken in two! With only one spare leaf spring, we were in trouble. It was 4Pm on a Sat of a long weekend and we needed to get it fixed. We called Beach Diesel repair. The owners were out of town, but their mechanic talked to us over the phone, waited for us at the garage and was super friendly. He could not get the part until Monday, as it was a holiday. Coming in from out of town, we returned back and left the trailer there. On Monday he called to let us know he had the part, that he had to drive to another town to get it. He replaced BOTH leaf springs on Both sides, and the cost was well below what we were expecting! We drove back the following weekend, and he gave us his cell number to call him to meet us there at the shop (normally they are not open on weekends). He did, as did the owners (who were super friendly too). In the end, the repair was done well, and at a fraction of what we thought! Everyone was super nice and accomodating for us who were from out of town. Thank-you so much for saving us! It maybe a small little business, but their friendly nature, and ability to go out of their way to help us deserves a 5-star!

We arrived in virginia beach with an exhaustive manifold leak in our motorhome. After calling cummins twice with no response, I tried beach diesel. They sent out their tech Gary on the same afternoon, and he was able to replace all of the gaskets on site and get us back on the road without having to pack everything up and take it into the shop.

I recently had my 2000 freightliner fld120 with a cummins n14 towed to their shop to have my air compressor replaced. I was told that they could have me out quickly but they didnt even have the tools to remove the compressor. After the compressor was replaced the tech cross threaded a brass fitting on the coolant side of compressor causing it to leak. I was told that the reason it leaked was because i had an old truck and that parts fail but they would not take any responsibility for their techs mistake...After all said and done I was charged $1677 in labor (14 hours for a 4-6 hour job) a $350 road call...I will never use this place again and I would never recommend them to anyone

Gary was great ! Our RV broke down at 1 am coming out of Va beach tunnel . They came to us and diagnosed the problem til 3am .They got us towed and got the part and and RV was back up in 2 days and we could continue our trip . If you need RV repair they are great people to work with !

Called 03/10/2015 1020, call taker was very rude and not listening to what I was saying. I asked for service, Instead of giving the phone to someone who could help, she wanted to play 20 questions. I told her I had a Chevy Duramax in need of repair, She responded back whats a buramax. I responded a Duramax, I asked her how many diesels does Chevrolet put in their trucks. She responded with your not speaking clear. (which is always a good business practice,to talk to prospective customers this way). I told her no your not listening. She then started to tell me what she thought, but then just hung up on me. I called back, with a male answering the phone, I asked for the manager or owner, He said he was the owner. I told him about the female, and he didnt care. I hung up. He call back asking could he help, I said if you cant help on the first call why could you help now, I told him good bye and hung up.

They have more work than mechanics so they can not keep a deadline and over charge. Not dependable at all. The work that was done on my truck was 6 hours and it took a week.

I do not recommend this place.

Diagnosis was wrong they had me spend $700 on a part that was not the problem plus $200 in labor. When I took it back within minutes of leaving they told me they didnt know what was the problem and to go to the dealership.

Outstanding job. Came to my location and fix my truck figured out what was wrong with my truck and fixed it.

Very rude and extremely unprofessional does unnecessary arguing with customers Would never recommend anyone want any condition waste money at this shop, they leave fingerprints all over your vehicle cigarette ashes in the interior charge you for parts that you can’t see from outside of the engine that they claim were changed.

This shop is the absolute worst. The owner and mechanic do not communicate well and will lie to you in your face. They are very unprofessional. and professional no one answer calls or give you updates on whats going on with your vehicle.my truck was in the shop for two weeks for a repair that should have said no more than one to two days as quoted by the technician. I was also charged $2,300 when I was estimated $950. when asked what I was being charged for the technician could not give me any explanation as to what money was being charged for what. I have called text and came down to the shop in search of the owner to get this situation straight hes never there and most days no one is in there working on vehicles. do yourself a favor there Are better shops out there dont even use these guys they suck.

Horrible disrespectful manger (insisted on payment before test drive). They claimed I had two leaking injectors which they replaced, less then 45 miles later the truck had a massive fire and burned down. They claim no responsibility. They destroyed the truck I had for 13 years.

Never go to this place x change bearings on one side have charged me about a thousand dollars the bears the bine to get in Atlanta for only eighty dollars and I have given it in that place x more than three hundred dollars never told me or asked nothing at the end they started to work on my truck a single person who took all the time in the world and never had communication all the time they ignored me only xque vat and it was weekend and I had no alternative since I live at five hours from that place.
