Great service, only one barber on a Sunday evening but man he did a food job and he sure can talk a lot about life.

Walked in for an appointment at 3:15. The barber was not on site, I asked the other Barbara and he told me they don’t talk about appointments. Although I called less than two hours before to get the appointment. Finally get the Barbara on the phone… And he says I can’t get there until 530. I asked him why he told me to come in at 3:15… Crickets. Last time using the spot

Wonderful place first time was last week with my son and so we decided to bring the cousins as an encore. They had the new Disney Movie and it has not even been out on theaters playing. Fairly priced all barbers were receptive even though there was a wait. I love what these guys do best in the 757

After a terrible experience at Hair Cuttery the day before, I decided to give this place a try. Lew was my barber, and he did a top notch job. Fixed what the other place messed up and gave me the exact cut I was looking for. Trimmed and lined my beard too. So impressed that we got my sons hair cut here too at the same time instead of buzzing it at home like we normally do.Thanks Lew, well definitely be back!

Nice spot as soon as you walk in the mall there is clean barbershop has cool colors and way cleaner and also the employees are polite and honest and answer my questions perfect i give it 5 stars bcz its more local and better for the business and also in a busy mall that always has people coming in for a haircut has alot of seating area good lighting and also big space i say go here bcz the money is worth the job and not a long wait either...

My husband took my son here to get his hair trimmed on top and faded on the sides. My son has been growing his hair out for over a year because he wanted a top knot. My husband showed the barber several pictures of what he wanted. He Emphasized not to cut too much off the top, 2 secs into the hair cut he cut all his hair only leaving a half inch. STAY CLEAR OF THIS BARBER SHOP unless you are okay going to a butcher that just does what they want. They are unprofessional and clearly unskilled.

At Lynnhaven mall, I walked right in and was helped. I started to tell the barber what I was looking for (an inch off the top and shorter sides) and he seemed very confused by my basic request and took me to a wall of pictures, none of which I wanted. I told him this and he said okay and took me back to the chair. He then got out the clippers and went to town. He took a lot of hair off the sides. He then forgot to cut the top portion of my hair and I asked if he could do this with scissors and he said no. The end product was an uneven haircut. This simple haircut I was looking for took over an hour and the barber even answered a personal call while cutting my hair. This was not what I was looking for at all and I am very disappointed.

Not very often you get a haircut experience like this one. Great people and had great conversations with the guys in there. My man Kyree hooked me up and did my hair right! Definitely where I’m going to get my hair cut from for now on !! 🤙🏽

Husband got his hair cut here. Low crescent fade to skin w/ a razor, hard part w/ some scissor work to even the top. Looks great, he’ll be going back whenever we’re at the mall.

Barbershop only had one person running the shop. I was about the fourth person there and I kept getting told that were two people with appointments while i was there for a hour and a half and I didnt leave until I got my haircut. After that I developed bumps after I was my hair. Made a call back to the barbershop informing them of this development and never again will be going back to that shop. Recommend to check barbers before you allow your hair to be cut for cleanliness of their blades

I was the first person in line and somehow kept managing to get passed by other customers; regardless of how long I waited others always took priority. This barbershop is unprofessional in that regard and lacks any sense of punctuality, I was there 15 minutes prior to opening and waited until about 10:30 for doors to open. DON’T waste your time or resources on this business.

Came in for my first haircut in a while, been having a problem finding somewhere to get a good cut close to work since my last barbershop closed down a couple years ago. Ty got me into the chair and worked around taking care of everything. Best fade Ive had in the area since my other barbershop closed down a couple years ago. Well worth the money, hes the first chair on the left once you walk in.

Every since I moved to Virginia Beach, I’ve been coming to flashlight. I heard it was the place to be, and it is. Great customer service, walk-ins, and schedule appointments. You won’t be disappointed. Demetrie is a very hard working barber and can cut. He’s nice with the clips.

10/10 would not recommend didn’t get anywhere near what I asked for I was so mad I didn’t even try to argue not paying I just paid and left after the 2 Bryan’s left this place went down only one worth anything still there is D

When you walk in, no one greeted us. We sat there and waited for over 35 minutes. Multiple others walked in and went up to the barbers high fiving them and were taken care of next. No explanation as to whether they were appointments or anything. We were continued to be ignored. Will never set foot in this unprofessional place again.

Demetrie is the GOAT. I was worried, looking around for a new barber, came here and damn. This dude is like Picasso with the clippers! Crisp perfect fade, took his time and went into it like an art. Cut a hard part into my hair and looked great. New barber found. Prices were also very good

I work next door & have always heard good things about this place so I decided to take my little brother here. Bryan cut his hair and he was satisfied. The place is very clean and spacious. We will be back.

To give this barbershop 1 star is rating it too high. Maybe they are better at fades? They cannot cut a scissor cut at all. I wonder if the big guy in there is even licensed? My poor son cant go to school his haircut is so bad. We had to go elsewhere to try and have it fixed. He shouldnt be allowed to touch anyones hair.I receive a response from the owner that I must of mistaken the location. The only mistake made was trusting this barbershop to touch my sons head. Are they even licensed?? The big guy should NOT be touching anyones head, PERIOD! SHAME ON YOU!

Horrible!!!! 1 star is far to high. That fat guy that cuts hair on the left, I think is not not even licensed! My haircut was so bad. I Had to go somewhere else to try and get it fixed. The barber looked totally lost on what he was doing. And he was pressing to hard on my head!! I even had cuts after.Why are you allowing unlicensed barbers to cut people’s hair? Totally horrible worst cut of my entire life. I could of cut my hair my self and it would of been 10x better. Waste of money man. 0/10!Don’t ever come here.

I asked the dude for a medium fade as he literally started cutting my hair out of no where and he said, “mhm”. Then after I got done. I left and realized it was a high fade had me looking like a boot straight out of bootcamp. 4 and a half stars is overrated for a place that cut me like that.

Worst haircut I’ve ever had ☹️ My head looked and felt like I had just been in a knife fight. I had to shave my beard and mustache off when I got home because it was so jacked up. Live and learn I guess, but I will definitely not be returning.

Great atmosphere, professional service and conveniently located in the Lynnhaven Mall. All of their staff is friendly and welcoming and they definitely know what they’re doing. Demetrie has been my barber for over a year now and I’ve never had a disappointing experience with him whether it be scheduling an appointment or my actual haircut.

This barber shop is absolutely terrible! There is a new barber that cuts in the front left chair. Who cuts hair terribly🤢. I went to him a week ago and it was the worst haircut of my entire life. He was very unprofessional, looked lazy, sloppy, and does not know how to cut at all. Never coming back here ever again. Don’t bother wasting your money!

I moved to the Virginia Beach area back in January. Im a picky person when it comes to gettin a haircut. When I searched up barbershop around the area, Flashlight was one of them. I saw the place and the environment reminded me of home. The vibe of that place reminded me the shops we had back in Dallas. I like the welcoming and hospitality of the shop. Both Demetrie and Bryan are amazing barbers and they go into detail with their haircuts. My first haircut with them was amazing and I been goin there ever since then. I make an appointment a day prior to avoid the wait. I recommended it to some of my homeboys and they fell in love with the place too. If you plan to get a haircut from Flashlights, hands down I recommend it. Demetrie and Bryan wont let you down. Flashlight is the place to be when it comes to getting a fresh haircut, fresh fade, good line up and etc.

I usually am not the type to leave reviews but I have to tell you about this AMAZING barber! Demetrie is highly professional, efficient and very knowledgeable about hair in general! He is versatile ( whatever the hair type he can cut it) and extremely well mannered! Took my step- son to get a haircut after his hair became extremely matted from growing it out; and I have to say he worked majic with those clippers! Demetrie took his time ensuring his lines were clean and his work was precise! He even recommended shampoos and treatment options to get a small issue under control! Stop in and tell him Winter sent you “that way”:)
