Jerry the manager was great. Very professional. The wait was short & painless.went for state inspection, it passed with no problems..Mike the mechanic found other things durning the inspection. I was allowed to get some of the things done the same day. Didnt have time for all to be done . but i will be returning because they gave EXCEPTIONALLY GREAT SERVICE... JERRY & MIKE both deserve a raise..you cant beat a honest repair shop. I will tell everyone about this shop & the great service received

Im sure the service here is great, and the people here are friendly, but the popularity comes with a cost. With an appointment set a week in advance, I still had to wait (without warning) several hours before my vehicle was attended to. Even then, another hour to get my bill. I spent three hours for a 40 minute service. Hopefully your experience isnt mine, but make sure your schedule is adjusted accordingly, just in case.
They are just great the customer service is over the top and they really let u know what’s really wrong with your car they do a Evaluation and let you know what you’re really dealing with it they are over the top very great they did a great job on my vehicle and they made me feel good when they called me to let me know what they had to do and explained with great details.

Went there to get my brakes checked because they weren’t engaging properly. Got estimate and information on what needed to get done, so I agree to pay almost $2k for the services. Wait a few days for the parts to come in and drop the vehicle off again to get the services completed (I prepaid all of it too) and I’m aware of the timeframe it may take to get this work completed properly. They call me to let me know the work is done, I pick up the vehicle and not even a mile down the road the brakes lock and the car is inoperable. I immediately call the store back and Lenny (I assume not the Manager) says he’ll get a tow out and asks if I can drop my keys back off to the store. Mind you, my car is now parked in some random business park because I can’t just leave it on the side of a busy road (Laskin) brakes won’t turn off so now car is smoking from the tires. Drop the keys off and Lenny relays that he wrote the notes down and Jerry (I assume Manager?) will be in tomorrow and he will help. I assume Lenny says this because he’s off tomorrow. I drive by the random business park two hours later and my car is still in the parking lot, Meineke is closed, customer care isn’t really customer care and they’re telling me to call towing services myself but that I will have to pay unless I’m a rewards member. I’m sitting here wondering why my car hasn’t been taken care of and the shop has closed without resolving the issue. What if I was stranded on the highway or worse in an accident (it almost happened when the accelerator wouldn’t work because the brakes locked)? Would you just leave the customer there? Tell them you’ll get a tow and not follow through? If the vehicle does get towed overnight by the random business park security, am I responsible for it? So far all I know is that I paid for services that were faulty and hazardous. I need a resolution as to why the shop was unable to ensure its customers were ok before leaving work for the day. At the very least follow up to keep them apprised of the situation before the day is through rather than leave them hanging.

I needed a state inspection. I arrive at location at about 7:37am on a Saturday morning, without an appointment and business was poppin. I was not guaranteed that the inspection could be done that day, but told an attempt would be made to work me in. I was notified of potential issues through out the day and inspection completed same day!! Great experience! MEINEKE ROCKS!!!!
Came in for a state inspection they did a great job maybe a little too quickly. One of my locking lug nuts was removed and not reattached to my vehicle. Called the store 2 times and spoke to a different person each time and was seemingly brushed off. No apologies were made and follow ups were not given by them. 5 stars if it wasnt for this.
I give 5 stars simply for the customer service, attention to detail and speedy job. I called a day prior for a state inspection and was booked with an appointment the next day. Unfortunately I had to cancel due to personal reasons but was reassured that with the drop in service they could take care of me. Price was worth it, because not many customers can cancel but still be serviced expeditiously. I dropped my vehicle off and not only was my state inspection completed but several services that were due..... all completed in a timely manner, a few hours tops!! (Jerry) my advisor was amazing with keeping communication throughout my entire experience through calls and their text system! I was notified via text with pictures of my vehicles condition and links with recommendations which was super convenient. The technician that serviced my car (Kenneth) did his thing. I definitely recommend the Laskin Rd Meineke team. I will update review if I run into any issues. Job well done.
Came in for my state inspection and had to have my brake lines flushed and refilled. I was worried about time but Jerry had me out of there lickety split. Great customer service over there.

I called in and was given an appointment for 11 AM yesterday assuming that when you make an appointment two days in advance your car is going to be brought in at around that time! Therefore I did not arrange for anyone to drop me off and pick me up... at 12:45 I had to ask why my car had not yet been brought inside for the oil change.I finally got out of there at 1:10 in the afternoon. The coupon was not worth two hours of my time sitting there waiting for a five minute oil change.

I brought my car there for an oil change that I had a coupon for and for my AC to be checked and recharged which I also had a coupon for. The synthetic oil change for my Volvo was supposed to be coupon price of $49.95. thats $20 off. I had to pay $99 for my oil change because my car takes 2 quarts more. But what annoyed me was I asked them to check my windshield wiper fluid and a check the left side of the windshield wiper nozzle that squirts out and they didnt do either not happy at all
I got my state inspection done here after showing up at my dealership several times for first come, first served service that I could never get in for. Meineke let me make an appointment, and gave me a timeframe for service that was exactly on point. Joe, the gentleman that I dealt with from the time I called to the time I picked up my car, was extremely helpful and professional. He is really an asset to Meineke and is the reason I will come back to Meineke when my car needs service. Really impressed with my experience from start to finish.

I made an appointment for a tire rotation and alignment. I showed up 15 minutes early and watched the guy behind the counter repeatedly go on to the garage to yell on his phone about other customers before he apologized to me for the wait. After waiting 75 minutes for zero service done I wont be returning and would advise you get service elsewhere. Not a quality experience. I have to pick a child up from school shortly so my time is limited. What a waste.

I went to the meineke car center for a what was supposed to be a free road trip check, this location was not honoring that deal so I still got my wifes car done and the total came to 218.00 was higher but Service tech Jerry worked with me, then I brought my car in for a diagnostic test, after some negotiation I agreed to the work except I was lied to by other tech who said I needed 2 new battery cables and connectors so when I called next morning he said we just had to put new connectors not cables so I said cool guess I saved some money and he said no, he still had to pay the guy who did it and I said but you didnt put new cables and only 2 connectors, bottom line I will not only not go back but will tell everyone I know and post on FB not to use this store. DONT LIE TO PEOPLE IT WILL COST YOU!!!!

Great customer service. However, I gave them 4 days to get my car fixed as I was out of town. When I came back and called to see if it was ready, it still wasn’t ready. That was a little frustrating.
State Safety Inspection 2020 Silverado-Drop off went smoothly and I appreciate the connectivity with email/text acknowledgments and receipts. The email that provides results and pictures is very useful and informative. Pick up also went very smooth. I feel the experience is here for any kind of car so I left them my classic 1969 Olds Cutlass S to help me catch up on some work I wanted done. Thanks
I was pleased with the customer service however my light is still on the oil light that I came to fix... they were nice guys but also they didnt place a sticker on my car saying the oil change was completed .. even as im driving right now paid over 400 to get the oil light fixed and to stop blinking the sound drives me crazy. So I will have to come back again not happy about that

I spent $500 with you guys on Wednesday and returned to my vehicle smelling like smoke. Your manager Handled himself very well but the mechanic had obviously been smoking in my vehicle during the repair work. I will not be using your business again.

I am fairly new to area and have come here for services only 2 or 3 times but so far I love it here! Very easy to make appointments online and they always take great care of my car. Even when you bring it in for something as small as an oil change they run a full inspection of the car and send you the details of anything they find. It really gives me peace of mind on the road especially when you are not a car expert yourself! Would recommend to anyone in area. Will 100% be back for any future work I need done!

I went in for an inspection and told them I didnt want to know about the other problems with my car. They honored my request and I didnt have to deal with one unwanted suggestion.
The amount of time taken to do the oil change was actually too fast to have done a good job, Normally a oil change takes from 30 to 45 minutes they were done in under 20 minutes.

This morning I brought my car to this meineke after my engine wouldn’t turn over. Mike, mike, and Sam got to me as soon as I pulled up after calling them to inform them I was on the way, and found the small issue that was preventing me from rolling and handled it just as fast. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes and back to work before my lunch break ended. Thank you guys and you will be the only ones to touch my car in the future.

I appreciate their honesty and transparency. They show you why they are suggesting the work and answer any questions you may have. Being new to the area I was unsure who to trust. I knew what had been done and why and left 100% satisfied.
They are very friendly and get the job done. I also have purchased several Groupons for this location that make getting your car maintenenced very reasonable and almost painless! Make sure you shop around on services that dont have a definitive price point. I needed an exhaust last year and they quoted me over double what a local shop 2 miles away did.
Left both my shock bolts loose,so the clatter would make me bring it back for another 1,500 bill,kinda sucked crawling under my vehicle and tightening up 4 bolts

Liars. I went in for a diagnostic for my battery light, suspecting my alternator had gone bad. I was told the alternator, serpentine belt, and battery all needed to be replaced to get back on the road, along with an absolute slew of other problems which I just couldnt believe. I was quoted $1000 for the minimum job (alt, belt, battery), an obscene price for the work. I was made to feel like a burden as the guy who called me said he needed to jump start my car every time he wanted to move it (which was evidently a lie, since it started right up with no issues after sitting on a hot parking lot all day). I was told there were dead cells in my battery and it wouldnt hold a charge, necessitating replacement (its 2 years old). I was told my belt was cracked and damaged, and needed to be replaced. I declined all of these services but authorized an oil change even though it was a little early mileage-wise, as I had a voucher to redeem in the system. Unfortunately they still charged me for a high mileage additive which I did not request nor authorize. Fast forward to where I take my car back myself and figure it out: $180 for a rebuilt alternator + $25 back from the core charge, battery was tested and charged at Advance Auto for free (surprise--it was not defective, just low charge), $16 belt. Replaced on my own in an hour. Turns out my belt was flawless, completely free of defects, so I am keeping it as a spare. They said my engine air filter needed to be replaced, which I just did a few months ago, and that my windshield wipers were streaking even though they are fine, plus a laundry list of random jobs when I came in for my alternator. Im tired of the lying, and I will never be returning. I dont even want to redeem the rest of my Groupon. This kind of manipulation to up-sell and push for unnecessary services is exactly what gives auto shops a bad name. Advising all my contacts to stay the hell away from Meineke.

I need an alignment and asked if someone could check my air conditioning to see if it was working properly and when my car was finished it was missed all together the guy who initially wrote up the report became frustrated as if it was my fault that he forgot so I declined to have it checked and went somewhere else

Had my cooking fans replaced along with my radiator. Picked my vehicle up just before closing on July 18th. Drove a few minutes, then pulled over to inspect work done and found my hood latch cable disconnected and a missing nut from latch cover under my dash. I havent been able to access my engine bay for 2 months.
This place is just something else. I went there for a simple inspection on a car thats typically never given me any issues a semi new car .after about 2 hours waiting Im told that its going to cost me over $1,000 for a new windshield back brake pads and windshield wipers?! the good news is they have finance companies that will gouge your eyes out but at least it will let you get to work done at the already crazy crazy amount. the same thing happened to the people that were in front of me a nice young couple that got hit with a$1,200 bill when all they needed was an inspection this is just a huge racket between the state and the repair companies because if I dont pay I dont get the sticker, if I dont get the sticker, then my car gets towed from my neighborhood. The guy Sean that work the register was the only good part of the experience. He was super friendly and I know he was just doing his job but at least he was helpful as much as he could be. Besides him I felt like I was getting straight up mugged and there was nothing I could do about it and thats a horrible feeling. The only saving grace was at the work they actually performed was great. It was done correctly, accurately, and within a timely manner. But with those kind of prices should you really expect any less?

My first experience with this location, I came in for an oil change and left with an issue with my hood closing. It turned out to be a flashlight that was left under my hood.The second visit was to have an alignment check after steering components were replaced elsewhere. They ended up aligning the vehicle and charging for work. It began to veer left and I had their work checked by another mechanic who noted a sheered camber bolt. A dangerous failure. I was charged for an alignment that was impossible to complete and no safety check was done despite being a state inspection station. If you care about the person driving the car, take your vehicle elsewhere.Update: I have reached out to the corporate number provided as well as the store manager with no resolution other than free alignment (was not initially performed correctly and has already been done twice). Is there another solution?
I love going there it is convenient for me when I need my car service for any real. I am always able to get in with in a reasonable time. I love it.

The staff here is amazing. Kevin is very customer oriented he made sure my son was content while we waited for our car to be ready. And my son really enjoyed laughing and playing. Great customer service, but... Poor mechanic service. Paid almost $600.00 to replace ignition switch and it still isnt working right. Took it back and because they didnt understand what I was saying about turning key and it not catching, they wanted me to video record it. Well...Go to Sullivans Family Auto Repair. Quick, honest and NOT over priced. Wish i knew about them before Meineke.

I had become very frustrated with taking my car to the dealership for oil changes. Twice they tried to get me to do repairs for my car for parts that didnt even come on the vehicle (HID headlights). my regular mechanic had moved over to the Newport News area and I was at a loss. I drove up to make an appointment and figured an oil change somewhere else couldnt be so bad. The customer service was great, I had asked for a tire rotation and when I went to pick up the vehicle that had not been done, and it was because it wasnt needed. I am relieved that I have found someone who will take care of my car in an ethical manner and it is so convenient to where I live.
The person at the desk (Shawn) was super nice and professional. He answered all my questions and even went through the trouble of providing two estimates of upcoming services my car needs. I felt like he was honest about everything, which is hard to find when it comes to mechanic/repair shops. I am definitely going back for all my cars repairs.
My car was towed to Meineke this morning by AAA because it wouldnt start and, after trying to jump the car, AAA had determined it wasnt a battery issue. Meineke did some diagnostics on it and were able to start the car. I decided against them doing more tests (due to the cost) and opted to just pick it up.My issue is that immediately leaving Meineke I drove straight to my fathers home because he used to be a mechanic and he wanted to check out the way the car was running for himself. When we went to pull the latch to open the hood, the latch didnt work ... We are no longer able to open the hood.The hood opened just fine (with AAA) right before we took it to Meineke, so I dont know what happened between the time we dropped it off there, it was tested, and we picked it up. But we can no longer open the hood and will have to go somewhere to have that repaired.I actually then drove from my fathers house directly to a Ford dealer, where I was told it could potentially cost as much as $500 to fix the hood issue.Is it Meineke related? I cant prove or disprove that, but again - it was fully functioning up until I picked it up.NOTE:Meineke had done work for me before without any issues.
I needed an oil change last minute, and was sent to the from Take 5 Oil Change because my bolts were rusted on my car’s under panel. The staff at Meineke were more than friendly and accommodating. It made an exhausting afternoon a little better. They also provided information on maintenance and the order I should do it to make sure my car is performing as it should.Thankyou all again :)I’ll be back for sure for my next tune up
This shop is great. The mechanic I worked with seems very experienced and honest. Took me under vehicle to show me where my exhaust was leaking and gave me options. Free exhaust and AC check, and reasonable repair pricing. Thanks for helping me keep a 20 year old vehicle on the road safely!

I was in desperate need to get my vehicle inspection on a time crunch and they were able to squeeze me in that day. I went to 4 other places and all said it would be a day wait.
I made an appointment at 8am only to be seen at 10am. They failed my state inspection and took forever to get an answer why it failed. The manager started off with Dont worry we have payment plans! -RED FLAG! He wanted to charge me $350+ for ONE TIRE. I said I paid $400 for 4 tires original manufacturer equipment. He then said Oh lemme check that price. He went on to talk badly about the brand of tires I have. He offered another tire for around $170 a brand that Ive never heard of. He went on and on about the other issues. I said Im not paying for that tire. I have the same brand for all 4 of my tires less than a year old. I really question that supposed damaged on my tire. He proceeded to rip the estimate and walked away. The new lady was not able to print the estimate. She tried so many times. She apologized for the long wait, she clearly understood that I was being taken advantage of. It took another half an hour for them to put a rejection sticker on my car. I came back 5 days later. They gave me an appointment at 4pm. When I got there I was told I need to come back tomorrow, the inspector is working on another car. I said I was given this appointment and told my reinspection will be completed. I am not leaving, I left my job early to make this appointment. He then said, if you dont like the state inspection to register my vehicle in another state. I got the all rejected items fixed for 60% less than what I was quoted for me to finance. Technicians seemed annoyed to reinspect my car, like Im bothering him for doing his job. I will never ever again go back to this place.
The man here tried to charge me almost $50 for a regular oil change. Upon asking about the sign out front that stated oil changes were $19.95, he insisted I needed a coupon and could find them all over the place and it was my fault for not bringing one in. Then I asked about this sign that said 45 cent oil changes and he told me somebody must have been messing with the sign because it is supposed to say 45 cent break pad check. Regardless, its false advertisement, which is ILLEGAL. The prices are never consistant, and the man acted like I was being a pain for bringing my car in at all- about 6 hours BEFORE they closed. In addition, when I asked for a printout of the charges so I could see specifically what was costing me $50 the manager (Im assuming) kept questioning me why I wanted it. I have never dealt with somebody so RUDE in my life- I will NEVER be going back to this this Meineke, or another Meineke ever again. Overall, no one here is ever friendly and I feel like they are always trying to push things on me, prices are never consistant, and they WAY overcharge for ANY service they provide.EDITED to add: Meineke responds with an email address asking you to contact them so they can address the issue, But I have emailed them four times and have gotten no response. Really the worst customer service experience Ive ever experienced, all around period.

These awesome guys helped me out with an inspection issue. They found that the wire to my power windows had been severed and fixed it allowing me to get back on the road. I have to say, that there are no words to describe their speedy service and pleasantries. Legitimate dudes they are!!!
