A few weeks ago I stopped and had a great conversation with Matt about how much I wanted a specific timepiece and of course, the serious lack of availability. He took my information down and to be honest I did not think I would hear from him for several months, if at all. 3 or 4 days later I was on a business trip stuck in NYC and thought I would shoot him an email about our conversation and that I am still very interested in the piece. He politely responded that same day with no availability. 4 days later he calls me with a big surprise! He had the piece with my name on it.Working with Matt was GREAT! I’m not one to leave many reviews. I mostly think of leaving a review when there was a bad experience. It really takes an extra effort to leave a review for a superior experience, one that leaves a positive impression. I would like to thank Matt Sember and the whole team at Liljenquist for the amazing customer service i received. The pandemic was a hard time for the world and every individual handles stress differently. I love watches and went to see what was available in their showroom. Well it was like the grinch who stole Christmas…. There was not a “High End “ watch in the house. Nevertheless Matt took the time to speak to me, and we talked watches and my collection. At the end of the visit, Matt handed me a small scrap of paper and asked me to write my information on it and he said that he would see what he could do. Although a few months went by, i was pretty sure Matt had forgotten about me, although i did not forget about Matt. Needless to say, Matt did contact me and i was able to acquire a watch for him. The wait was well worth it. Thank you again Matt those little pieces of paper must be pretty magical. I immediately put my next “wish” in hopes that little piece of paper and Matt could magically make my wish happen again. If you are in the area, it would be well worth your time to stop by. Mary at this location is wonderful to work with. We were a referral from their Tysons Galleria location (which only has watches) and needed help selecting a setting for a ring. Mary was both patient and honest, which is the best combination (imo) for a salesperson. She went above and beyond helping locate gems for our new ring. Highly recommend! I worked with Matt and Steve to design an engagement ring. I had the center stone already and they worked with me on designing a setting for the stone. Matt was very helpful in the variety of accent stones available as I was unsure if I wanted them all the way around or just a few side stones, and after reviewing many designs we decided on two trapezoids that Matt ordered for me. Steve did a wonderful job in crafting the ring, it turned out beautiful and was everything I had imagined - and of course, my fiancé loves it! (and said YES). He kept in mind my fiancé would be wearing the ring at work (medical field) so ensured it would not interfere, and left room for a wedding band to sit flush next to it. I would recommend working with Matt Sember for all your jewelry (and engagement ring) needs. If you are having something custom made, Steve is the best goldsmith around and I recommend his craftsmanship. We will be returning to L&B to have our wedding bands designed and work with Matt and Steve again!

He was very knowledgeable and helped me understand what to look for when buying jewelry.I gave Mike my budget and the type of stone I was looking for and when I came in, he didnt try to up sell me, more importantly, he tried to educate me on what to look for when selecting the perfect stone within a budget. If I could give this establishment zero stars, I would. My boyfriend and I came in today after enjoying a lovely celebratory meal at Patsy’s next door, in hopes of continuing the celebration with a gift. He recently hit a milestone in his career and has been in the market for a Rolex. While it’s a known truth that the Rolex inventory is low industry-wide, we were curious to see what they would have in store. We walked in (door opened by a lovely security guard who seemed very nice), to three service agents talking to each other. Now I’m not usually a very hoity toity “Karen” type, but I do not stand for the ones I love being disrespected. Maybe it’s because we both look young and they did not take us seriously, but when a customer walks in your doors prepared to spend over $10,000, you should at least greet them properly and help guide them, or that’s what you would expect at a renowned high jewelry brand that excels in customer care and quality. We were barely guided to the area and were given little to no assistance in the inventory that was present. Will not be returning to this store again. Thank you again to the security guard that greeted us kindly and with respect. To the three sales agents that were enjoying their happy hour with each other, age/youth should not dictate respect or customer financial valuation.

First time shopping at the Leesburg Pike location, as I live in Annapolis and usually go to the one there. However, the Annapolis location doesnt sell Rolex models and I had my eye on one for a while. I worked with an amazing lady by the name of Marlyn; I highly recommend her! She was extremely nice and very knowledgeable. She was also very easy to talk to. In my experience, salespeople can tend to force a conversation just to further the sale. Not the case with Marlyn. I got the impression that she was genuinely interested in my story, AND she helped me pick out an amazing piece for my wife! Came here for our engagement and wedding rings. This location has a very clean elegant atmosphere and a wide glittering selection. We were so lucky to encounter Ms. Sherrelle, a warm, classy, hilarious representative who made this part of our wedding experience truly a happy and memorable one, one we will never forget. I’ll never forget my first Rolex and the experience of the process. I spent two hours (this was my option and obviously depends on each person) sitting down with Charlie and he walked me through every detail of my Rolex GMT-Master II. Here’s a quick example: Charlie provided the history of the The GMT-Master II, which was created for pilots who traveled in multiple time zones. Charlie showed me how it worked and how to properly set it up, which I use when on travel (pre-covid). He went on to give me a magazine that highlighted my timepiece. That is the true indicator of success.Then there is Mary who treats you like a family member as you walk in and never forgets anything about you to make you feel at home.Sherrelle the store manager who made be feel like a prince from the day we met.And finally Charlie, his knowledge and life experiences and how he shares them in a way as not ever to reveal actually who these people are or what they do but in way that makes you see the way people in the community or in the world in general are somehow connected and how we can be positive and in someway work together and make this world we are in a much better place for EVERYONE.I was inspired....I want to wrap it up by saying there is something very “Special” happening at Liljenquist & Beckstead and the team that is there and I urge the community to go visit them and share in this magic.

During this time of COVID challenges, I find that I am especially looking for joy in every way possible. I have found that, thanks to the exceptional customer service provided by Mary Meyers, shopping at the Fairfax Square boutique is and has been a wonderfully joyful experience. While the Fairfax Square boutique carries an extensive selection of Marco Bicego earrings, they did not have the pair my sister gave me. Mary thoughtfully researched and found a pair of the exact earrings that I lost as well recommended some lovely alternatives. I went there with my sister for a watch but the salesperson doesnt care to help at all. We told him what we were looking for. He answered right away those are all we have and leaves us. Until i realize that he just went back to continues his work while we still standing there. So i just told him thanks and left the store.We ended up go to Lenkersdorfer in Tyson coner and bought a watch there with a nicer and helpful salesperson .

Absolutely outstanding service from Michael Canson at this store. We all know about the current shortage of certain Rolex sports models. So when I came in the store to get on the waiting list, I was ready for the typical wait list game stores around DC area play: if you are not a preferred buyer, you are not getting one. To my surprise, I got a call from Mike 2 months later giving me the great news. He didnt play games of you got to be here in the next 20 minutes, or the next guy in line gets your watch. Mike was extraordinarily courteous on the phone and gave me a time frame that worked for me to get the watch. Inside the store, my experience just kept getting better. Courtesy, product knowledge, tasteful small talk, just incredible watch buying experience all around. I will absolutely buy my next Rolex from Mike. He is the best!

I was so thrilled with my visit to Lilijenquist & Beckstead. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a jeweler in the DMV area. My fiance proposed with a beautiful engagement ring (that he bought from an online store). Within a week, I had bent the prongs of the ring and was frantic to get it fixed.I randomly walked in to see if the store did repairs and Jaimie helped me. She was absolutely amazing. She was kind, patient and she answered all of my endless questions. She suggested that I should speak with the jeweler so I went back in the following week. The jeweler, Steve, looked at my ring, performed repairs, and gave me suggestions for strengthening the setting in the future.I was so impressed with their level of professionalism and sincerity, we will definitely be back. My fiance and I are looking forward to building custom wedding bands in the coming months with Jaimie and Steve!

Be weary of these sales people. They tell you what you want to hear or want you to spend your money on things you don’t want or really need to maybe get the opportunity to buy something you actually want.

Regardless of who Ive worked with they have consistently provided expert input as well as peerless customer service. I cannot recommend Liljenquist & Beckstead enough to anyone in search for a local jewelry store which is more interested in fostering long term relationships with customers from their community than getting as much money out of a customer from a each sale (which frankly is a rarity in a city as transient and transactional as Washington DC). They remember your name; they reach out after every purchase, repair, and consultation to make sure your needs were met; and they are infinitely patient if youre like me and are neurotically indecisive. Thank you again, particularly to Charlie, Marlyn, and Matt for helping me with each and every visit these past few years.ORIGINAL: Charlie Waters and Marlyn provided outstanding customer service and unrivaled profesionalism, with none of the stereotypical pretentiousness often associated with high end jewlery stores. My fiancé and I went in to Liljenquist on a whim to look at engagement rings and it was the best decision we could have ever made. We were helped by Denise who we warmed to immediately because of her knowledge and personality. I wanted something a little different for an engagement ring (a gray diamond rather than white) but was unsure of how realistic it was. When I explained my dream stone to Denise, she made me feel like it was a definite possibility. Before we left, she asked me a variety of important questions (like budget, preferred stone cut and hue of gray, etc) to make sure she would find a stone that actually worked for me and my fiancé. She truly wasted no time and gave me an update on her search for the gray diamond the next day! Honestly, my fiancé and I expected it to take months--if not years--to find our perfect stone and Denise found not one but 4 gray diamonds in less than a month! And 2 of them were exactly what we wanted (in terms of cut and price range). She gave very helpful advice when it was time to finally choose the diamond for my engagement ring. And it didnt end there! She helped us pick the perfect setting for the stone and even gave us a discount on it.After getting engaged, I went back to Liljenquist to have my ring resized (I originally wanted it a size too large). Without any notice, Denise was able to have my ring resized that day in less than an hour!I really really cant say enough wonderful things about Denise and Liljenquist & Beckstead!
