We worked with Haagen General Contractors to remodel our shower and tub surround. Chad Haagen listened to what we wanted and gave us a competitive quote. We contacted Chad Haagen after experiencing a leak from our MBR shower. Water damage extended beneath the shower, across the MBR floor, and into the MBR closet area. Chad and his team demolished the old shower and rebuilt a new expanded shower for us. His craftsmen also designed and built a custom closet system that has greatly improved the storage efficiency of our MBR closet. They installed new carpet and pad in the MBR closet, retiled the MBR floor, and painted the MBR and closet system. Throughout the project, Chad and his crew demonstrated high attention to detail and pride of workmanship. Pricing was fair and honest, communication was excellent, and above all the quality of work was outstanding. We are thrilled with the result and are pleased to give Haagen General Contractors our highest recommendation.

I have to say I was not surprised to see all the 5 start reviews here already. We bought our house during the start of the covid pandemic and didnt get the opportunity to really do a deep inspection ourselves (I know, I know). When we did, we found the multitudes of defects beneath the surface. We reached out to several contractors in the area to get an idea of what we were looking at, and only Chad responded. He said he was in the area and could swing by if we needed. We graciously accepted.Chad spent 3 HOURS of his own time going through our house and coming up with top tier remodel plans. He addressed each concern and instead of feeling down about the upcoming challenge he showed us the houses potential. He didnt BS the price, gave us options, and clearly knew his stuff. He didnt have to do any of it but he did and really helped us out.Its difficult to defend my position for not getting a half day to do my own inspection instead of just a walk through, but I promise I know at least a little about construction and remodeling. Chad was on point, and we will be using his company for our master bathroom renovation here soon enough.

We did a full kitchen gut and 2 bathrooms remodel. We found that Chad made us feel so comfortable and informed during the entire process. He came up with ideas that would save us money instead of adding cost and then didnt charge us for extra little projects we added and even did some on his own we didnt ask for but was so happy to have done. I am extremely happy with the quality of the finished result. It looks like a completely different house now and we love it.

While every remodel project is a bit stressful and time consuming, Chad and his team (tile guy, glass guy, and plumber) were amazing! The quality of the work is impeccable as you can see from the photos. The other quality I deeply appreciate about Haagen is the communication, the realistic time line - we had a little delay due to plumbing fixtures - but we got that figured out with Chads help. The experience of the craftspeople helped to steer us toward better choices with the materials to use and where - regarding the shower in particular. Overall, this remodel project was handled well, was within the time line and was well worth the cost - we are extremely pleased with the finished product and will definitely contact Chad for the next bathroom and kitchen.

I have worked with several contractors in the area over the years, some have been good but still leaving something to be desired in terms of communication. We would first like to say its hard to find a contractor that you can trust, but with Chad all our fears were put to rest we interviewed several contractors before Chad and we instantly knew he was the best! We did a total remodel on two bathrooms at the same time what a challenge but Chad was a champ and made sure our needs were meant. Chad and his team have restored our faith that there are professional, personable, and prompt tradesmen who believe in doing things right with superior quality, customer focus, and transparency.We had two previous contractors working on our master bathroom. We had to stop work with the first contractor due to quality issues and non-performance. We had another contractor finish the bathroom only to have the shower fail about 18 months later, damaging the ceiling below. That guy wouldn’t return any calls when we tried to reach him. The thought of going through more construction and paying for the shower a third time brought me to tears.We got Chad’s name from a neighbor and contacted him about rebuilding the shower and repairing the water damage. From the initial conversation, Chad impressed us. Even before being hired, Chad suggested contacting the previous contractors insurance. That one suggestion proved fruitful and has been a huge blessing to us. Chad believes in doing the right thing with honesty, ethics, and integrity.Knowing the situation and how nervous we were, Chad took extra care to explain what was going to happen and how the project would proceed. He followed up daily, made sure that the team was informed on what needed to be done and checked in to examine progress and make sure the work site was as clean as construction can be. He also delivered on every promise. The team he brought in was stellar. They were on the site as promised, worked diligently, and are excellent craftsmen. Any minor issues (there were no major ones) were addressed immediately. The experience with this team has soothed over some raw contractor wounds. Our home is now whole again and better than ever. You can’t tell the dining room ceiling was ever damaged and the shower is better than ever!

Chad and Ruben are a dynamic duo. They replaced my bathtub/shower combo with a beautifully tiled walkin shower, installed a new sink and vanity, and replaced a leaky kitchen faucet. He built the bathroom just like I wanted even better then I expected.Chads team of guys all kept me well informed and made suggestions along the way that made the end result far better than my original design. Chad and his crew did some extensive remodeling for us, a complete new kitchen and floors through several rooms. They also took out part of a wall and installed all new kitchen lighting. They did a great job! They cleaned up after themselves every day before they left. We are extremely happy with all of their work. We really appreciated the way Chad kept us informed on the progress of our project and kept the work on schedule. We never had to ask for an update and there was someone on site almost every workday from start to finish on our project. Wish I could say the same for other contractors we’ve worked with! Our bathroom turned out great and cost substantially less than we were quoted from other places.We had a minor problem about a week after the project finished when the shower glass shifted a fraction of an inch, causing the shower door to close improperly. I called Chad first thing Monday morning and he had the problem fixed by about noon the same day. Couldn’t be happier with the customer service.

Easy to work with. They were here when they said they would be,and that was during allot of snow.We had them do two jobs : one remove and repair rot in a bathroom along with installing new shower pan. The other was to remove old thin set, lay new tiles, and re-grout. They cleaned up their mess and were great to work with.We will call then again.

We initially heard about Haagen general contractors from a freind that recently had new kitchen cabinets installed. Naturally we checked their reviews online and invited Chad to give us an estimate on our newly purchased rental property.We were looking to have new kitchen cabinets and countertops installed. We had 2 other contractors give us estimates and well .Out of all the contractors we met with, we chose Chad and his team. We felt he was the most trustworthy and just a good fit for us and our project. The price was fair as well. He was VERY scheduled focused as we were looking to get tenants in ASAP. The remodel process was super easy. Haagen had our entire kitchen torn apart and brand new paint, drywall, cabinets with quartz countertops installed under 8 days....AMAZING!!!! We honestly we really liked Chad from the beginning and will be definitely using him in the future for our master bathroom next year. Loved the entire process from start to finish.

Haagen Construction was hired to build out a wall, and prep with inputs, outputs, cable and electrical for installation of a high end stereo/visual system. This required communicating with and getting specs from the installer at Definitive Audio. Everything ran smoothly. Chad, the contractor, is a heck of a nice guy. He is committed to completing the job only when the client is satisfied with the work. I have hired many contractors to work on houses in building stage and large and small remodels. The experience has not always been positive. I would not have anyone else do any projects we have in the future. Haagen Construction easily earns 5 stars + . I would like to start by saying it is always a good idea to plan for a longer completion process and have contingency funds, with that said I waw VERY adimit that the timeline and budget stay on track, Chad delivered! That in its self would be enough for me to recomend him. Chad also went above and beyond meeting the needs of my day to day schedule as I work night and was not readily availale. Would definitly recommend and/or hire again.

Haagen General Contracting is currently remodeling my laundry room by building out new walls and removing other walls. New cabinets, countertops, tile install, and even building a doggy shower. Adding this to a home in Battle Ground, Wahington. New plumbing, tile, luxury vinyl flooring, sliding barn door, sheet rock, framing, etc. Fun project. When they finish here I will need their construction company headed into Vancouver, and then after that I have a bathroom remodel needed. We have some painting, roofing and siding projects we need done more in town. I have a buddy across the river that I want to send these guys to, but they are a licensed, bonded, and insured contractor for Washington only. Works great for me because he still serves camas, Washougal, Ridgefield, Battle ground, Vancouver, & la center so thats all I care about.

This was the only company that truly listened to our desires and made sure to explain all possible options and limitations that could lie ahead. The jobsite was always organized and clean at the end of each day. The project was finished ahead of schedule (amazing in this industry!). We thoroughly enjoyed working with Chad and his staff. My husband and I used Haagen General Contractors (Chad) on 2 separate occasions.The first project was a 25 year old leaky roof that desperately needed to be replaced on one of our rental homes. We needed to act fast because we were wanting to put the home on the market to sell . He told us it would take 2 days to install the new roof. 1 day to tear off and the next day he would have the roofing shingles installed. To my surprise, they had the entire roof tore off and the new roof installed in 1 day... AmazingWe were so impressed by the communication, cleanliness, and professionalism, of this company we decided to use them again on our master bathroom remodel project.Every time we dealt with Chad and his team, they did exactly what they said they would do, always on time and remained within budget.Nothing but good things to say about this Company. I would highly recommend using them for any home remodel project you might have.
