Name says it all, Honest! This place has been great. Very genuine with their service and a lot of times will under charge just to help out. Stranded out of state alone, Ralph helped set me up in a hotel and provided me a ride while telling me about the different restaurants in Tyler. When my car required extensive repair, Ryan was super on top of keeping me updated and making sure my insurance got all they needed to quickly approve the repairs. Nice people is bout all I can really say. Car came back to me in worst shape and with missing parts off my car. Within 2 miles of leaving this facility, my car broke down and had to be towed. Did not even have the issues it has now since they touched it. I would not and will not recommend them to anyone. I was better off leaving the car they way we had it. Poor craftsmanship and work. And was lied too. So not so honest auto is it.

They were extremely professional, had a clean and stocked waiting area catering to the customer. The employees were extremely knowledgeable, and kept the garage area spotless. Any further maintenance needs I have will be done there. Their prices are very fair.

Very nice staff. Kept me informed on issues with my vehicle. However the engine noise started making noise again after driving a few minutes. That issue still remains. Other than that I would use them again.

Although no one ever wants to receive the bad news of a costly car repair. We all know it comes with the ownership of a vehicle. However, I was recently directed to this facility and I can honestly say I am glad I was. Ryan was my service adviser. After making initial contact with him and his warm greeting. I decided to give the folks a chance. I knew I was in for a fairly major repair so I was already not excited. But Ryan calmly walked me through the process of the diagnoses. It was definitely a costly repair and complicated so he allowed me to try and source some options for alternate parts that would solve my current issue. Saving me $1500.00. He gave me an explanation as what to expect with the repair and length of time it would take. There was no questions unanswered, frustrations generated by bad communication or feeling of deceptive practices. Just good old fashion upfront and honest car repair. This is very rare to find these days and I for one really appreciate it when I find a place I can feel this level of confidence in. I would tell all my friends and neighbors about this place and suggest it to anyone who needs a Honest shop to deal with. No puns intended, but the place is aptly named. We have used honest 1 for years. We recently had them do electric work so we couldnt pass inspection. $800 later...we ajust failed inspection. The parts used were wrong. We also had them do brake work....the lever was left hanging. All in all honest 1lost our business due to negligence

Tyler’s best kept secret?!On Thursday, July 9, 2020 I took my vehicle to Honest -1 to have my vehicle repaired for an AC problem. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and patient as we worked out all the details. What stood out to me immediately is that when I was given a ride back to my work the driver open the door for me and treated me like I was Someone important. That driver I later learned turned out to be the owner of this shop. That says a lot about their customer relations and how they do business! They did a free evaluation of my vehicle and even allowed me to take it to another business for a second opinion. After getting a second opinion, I ended up back atHonest-1. They are the real deal! They took care of us and I have found my new mechanic for our vehicles in Tyler, Texas. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to save money and still get the quality service and parts that you and your vehicle deserve!

Very pleased they fully honored their warranty. I had some work done earlier this year on front end suspension. One part installed turned out to be faulty 8 months later. Brought it back in and got it replaced at no cost to me whatsoever. Thats what you hope for.

1st time there. They are respectful toward women by getting doors. They provide transportation while my car was in the shop. Great customer service skills. They pretty much nail the problem when others tell u it might be this or that. They kept me updated about every hour or 2. My husband has taken his truck here a couple of times. The service was very good, personable, and worth every moment of our time. I will be doing more business with them.

Took in my old car that was leaking an unknown fluid. The workers were incredibly professional and courteous. After dropping the car off they gave me a ride back to my apartment which is a great service. After diagnosing what was wrong with my car and giving me the estimate to fix they were very understandable when I didnt go through with the repairs and didnt try to talk me into spending money or some other service. Didnt charge me for the diagnostic or for their time. Never have I dealt with such professional auto care service before. Even though they were unable to help me this time they have gotten a customer for life.

I dropped off my car for diagnosing and repair. They called me to keep me updated on what they had found and gave me pricing. My car was ready the next morning. There was no fast talking, and I felt comfortable in doing business with them. I definitely recommend Honest-1 Auto Care for car repairs/servicing.

Response time was lightning fast, the entire staff is friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The entire facility is spotless, lotsa goodies in waiting room. They literally answered my questions before I even asked! The estimate was reasonable and spot on what it cost. Told me how long it would be and offered to bring me home and pick me up (which I took advantage of). Even left cookies in my car.This was such a positive experience I will be a life long customer.

Repairs were completed quickly and accurately. Prices were a little higher than competing businesses. They suggested 4 additional services totalling $1200. I had recently completed 3 of the 4 so I am not sure why they suggested them.

No manipulation or convincing you need unnecessary work done at inflated prices.I was thrilled when I got a printout of work done AND a maintenance list of what tasks need to be done to keep car running with labor and parts showing.I am not easy to impress. However, I was amazed at the entire experience. Search has ended for the shop I can trust.

This place is super HONEST & AMAZING!My mom & I were on a cross country road trip when we stopped overnight in Tyler, TX. That night my car was taking a long time to start & then the next morning still had trouble starting. Took it in to Honest Auto Care Shop thinking something was obviously wrong. They checked it out & said everything looked great. Said I must have put some bad gas in the car & that’s why it was acting up. Upon leaving the shop- took their advice & filled up my car at a reputable gas station- car started normally & was running great again. Couldn’t believe how smart & honest these guys were— most places would have taken advantage of 2 women. They didn’t even charge me for the inspection. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for smart & honest car repair guys. I’d give them 10 stars if I could!

Honest-1 is our new go to place for auto repairs. I received 2 quotes from local dealers and they beat them by $300. The service was friendly, fast and affordable. I used them for an AC repair as well over a year ago and same excellent result.

Ralph’s team has always been very good to my family, my friends, and myself. I know when I take my car there I will receive quality care and service! Their facility is suuuuper nice, and even has a kid’s play area. They have a free shuttle service in case you need to get back to the office and can’t wait on your car, also. Best experience with auto repair Ive ever had. I do most of my repairs myself but there are times when you need to have the pros do it. I usually dont trust most places but these guys are honest, upfront about whats going on. Plus its a nice place to begin with, nice waiting area with complimentary drinks and snacks. I cannot recommend a better place to take a vehicle! And they left a complementary snack and thank you card in the car!

I had a major oil leak on my 4runner. I notified Honest - 1 Auto Care. They had me to come in they looked at my truck. They told me within minutes of what the problem was. They even took me out in to the bay area and physically showed me where my leak was. Which no other mechanic shop would do. They had me a quote within a few short minutes and it was an affordable fix. Within 1 1/2 day my truck was back in service. The warranty for 3 year or 36000 miles is untouchable for any other shop. If you want your vehicle fixed and done right this is the place to go. The people are friendly and you can not meet a better man than the owner. He listens and will have you back up and running . I recommend going to Honest - 1 Auto Care. There name really says it all!

All of my experiences at Honest One Auto have been great from my personal vehicles to business fleet, staff is professional and knowledgeable, clean facilities also.

I have used Honest - 1 on several occasions and have appreciated their work and communication . I was there this week and communication was not good. I had one young man who i first talked to - told him what I wanted to do (and get estimates for). They called and I dealt with someone else and didn’t feel like we were on same page! When completed - got bill (felt like was high) - then she said there was other work that needed to be done also. This was what I put car in for in first place. I admit - I am a little salty about this and would have wanted all this taken care of. On top of that, when I went to pay, their machine charged me twice - I even had told her that I was uncomfortable running it again. I know - it’s all crazy right now but it just seemed different this time. With all that said - I still like them and will use them again!

Ive only used them for oil changes, primarily because they advertise oil changes for $24.95. Ive yet to pay $24.95. Theres always something - Oh the $24.95 is only for 5 quarts, your vehicle takes 6 (and the price jumped to like $40). Or your year model car requires synthetic oil and thats not available for $24.95, but we will give you a $25 coupon off our $70 oil change. And dont try just driving up to get your oil changed - an appointment is the best way to make sure you get in, which isnt convenient, and even thats not easy. I tried booking a Saturday appointment on Thursday - no such luck. On the positive side - super nice, super clean, well stocked snack area and the punch card - five punches and a free oil change. But after my free one, I wont be going back. Not worth the frustration.

I had a oil change and new oil pan seal. When I left I still have a engine service light still on and have a oil light still comes on. Very unhappy with the service of I received.

We needed costly AC service on my daughters 2001 Hyundai Accent, but I felt better knowing the repairs are backed by their 3 year warranty. A month or so later, shes still enjoying her cool, air-conditioned car!

Company is way over priced and advertises a free diagnostic unless having to take stuff apart but is quick to call and say we’re gonna need to charge you this or that for the exact thing they quoted you as free. Found a shop down the street for 1/4 of the price they wanted to charge.

My experience was absolutely fantastic. Not only was the cost of my extensive repair VERY reasonable but the service was beyond anything I have experienced in the past. Staff was friendly, honest, and helpful. They took time to answer all my questions and made sure I understood what was going on. My truck had to be there for a while due to the repair and they drive me home and picked me back up when it was ready to go. If I ever need a mechanic again I will be calling them first.Update 3/2020: taken my truck here a few times now and it’s always a good experience. If I can’t do it myself, they’re my first stop. We came here really down on our luck, so disappointed that yet another thing had gone wrong this week. Gail, the service representative, made us feel so at ease from the beginning. Going to an auto shop you are always worried about hidden costs, but her and our mechanic were very up front, and directly showed us the damages and our estimate. I came in for an offer I got in the mail for a free AC inspection. While there I saw another offer for a $19.99 oil change. I am about to take a road trip and was amazed by the long list of things they check on my vehicle FREE with any service. They gave me a list of things to work on, yet didnt pressure me to get it done, just to inform. The waiting area was clean and comfortable. Snacks and drinks were provided. There was a play area that my children enjoyed. This is our new favorite place to take our cars. Added bonus... After 3 oil changes, you get one free!

I wanted to use this auto shop because of the reviews it had, but couldnt get anywhere. I called this morning 03.14.19 08:15, spoke with a lady. I stated I was calling to get a quote for repair on a 2000 Toyota Corolla. She stated hold for one moment so she could get to her desk. I told her I wanted a quote on rotors and brake pads for front driver/pass wheels. She asked if I could bring it in for them to look at it. I explained I already know this is what I need because of a prior mechanic and I am calling around for a quote right now. I said if the quote is good, I can bring it by tomorrow and drop car off by morning. She then asked if I could bring it by tomorrow then. I didnt know whether to repeat myself or just shake my head. I told her look all I need is a quote. Why did she need to get to her desk if she wasnt going to use it to quote me or even use it for privacy to even listen and understand what simple request I had. I explained I work overtime hours and AGAIN I already know what I want, I wanted to do a key drop off in morning if quote was good, but thank you for your time if you cant quote me on just one service needed. Little did she know, I was going to ask for a quote on more replacement parts needed such as a Valve Cover Gasket and Sway Bar Bushings & Brackets on Front Pass Side wheel, but dang if I can even get a quote on rotors and brake pads, forget it. I do not have time to waste to take off work and lollygag when I dont even know HOW MUCH!! Hence calling around for quotes.

VIP treatment! This service center surpassed my expectations. I love they are open on Saturdays as not many brake service centers are in Tyler. The lobby felt more like the lobby of a five start hotel than the lobby of a service center. Extraordinary customer service from the whole staff. I love the sweet gift of the Milano snack pack & contact card left in my cup holder.I just went in for my brakes, tires & oil change but it looks like they offer MORE services than that.I recommend calling this Auto Service Center BEFORE going anywhere else.

They REALLY care about their customers! I came in for an oil change and they do a thorough inspection of every nook and cranny of the car at the same time. I was shown a leak that needs to be repaired, they asked me questions about my maintenance history of the car and recommended what was needed in an open way. Very knowledgeable and caring attitudes. I even found a complimentary chocolate inside when I got in to drive home!Ill definitely be back to get my major repairs here. I already trust their knowledge and their ethics. Way to go guys.

I always feel like the staff at Honest 1 Auto have my best interests at heart and aren’t just trying to get money out of me. They let me know what they recommend but never pressure or guilt you when you decline additional service.They also have a great waiting area with snacks, magazines, and TVs. They also have a shuttle that can take you back to work or home if you have a long wait.Also every 4th oil change is FREE!

Honest-1 Auto Care took great care when servicing my vehicle. It is clean and well kept. The employees are friendly. They even called me out to look at my car when it was on the lift to show me nothing else needed attention. Came in for oil change customer service was wonderful Gail gave me a free quote on some repairs and explained everything to me and even took my out to the shop to look at what was needed to be done to my car . Highly dont recommend. Took over an hour for a phone call realizing they had to take door apart for a faulty window. 3 hours later tell me motor isnt working and it will be $500+. The motor is $50 online. Joke of a place. Stay away.

I was having difficulty with my cars A/C blower motor.Honest - 1 diagnosed my cars problem quickly, checked out the rest of my car when they did, gave me a very reasonable estimate for the repair I needed and made recommendations for things I may need done in the future. There was no pressure to get additional services done at this visit.Repair was made timely, car ready when promised and received a 36 month/36,000 mile warranty on the work done.

Do not take your business here! These people are running a racket! They will lie to your face about problems with your car, even going so far as to lie about specifications and requirements for your vehicle. I was told 4 our right lies during one visit, one being that my car holds 10quarts of oil when it doesn’t even hold a full 5! I came in with a mailer coupon, asked Gail about pricing, was completely mislead about estimated cost. Was told my tires needed immediate replacement, would not pass inspection, when I literally did last month. Have at least 6 months left on tires! Was told I had an oil leak, took car to regular garage, and I do not have an oil leak! Was told my car required a premium air filter, and was charged more for, after I told mechanic to not install air filter, they said they did and tried to charge me for premium filter. When I told mechanic I didn’t want extra services outside oil change, they refused to rotate tires, and let me car sit until I noticed and asked if it was done. Gail was very rude and argumentative when confronted about misrepresentation of price, shouting at me that my car takes 10q oil as to the reason base price was double stated amount. Mechanic left trash in car, as well. Just like when someone says, I’m honest, and they are usually lying...these people are far from Honest!

We scheduled an alignment at Honest 1 and we were shuttled to a local restaurant for lunch while the truck was being serviced. We received a courtesy call from Honest telling us that the alignment would not fix the problem and they gave us an estimate to fix the.real problem. We were not pressured to do anything that day and they showed us the problem. On top of that they did not even charge us for diagnosing the problem. It is very refreshing to be able to trust an auto repair shop. We will be back!

Had my truck towed to the shop because the brakes were locked up.They should have told me up front they were NOT qualified to fix it. In stead i had a $550 bill and it was not safe to drive. Had to pay the bill to get my truck back.I have tried to call and have been repeatedly hungup on.When i placed my review on their site it is deleted....so much for honesty

Never bothered to call me when my truck was ready for pick up, had to call them and ask since it was hours from when they told me it should be readyAlso didn’t care to do basic check ups on my truck like any other place always does as in simple things like checking tire pressure and airing them up or checking your check engine light and just let you know what’s up with it, basic things staff was also all rude to me anytime I communicated with them I will not be coming back.
