I am straight forward in my communication, so I am adding that caveat.The female owner is abrasive and forward; however, it is a cultural difference. I have had my nails done, with Nick, since April, 2021. Nick is really good at what he does. He arches the nail to look natural and he can complete a fill-in within 20-25 min. If you have a broken nail, he will accommodate you. Please make an appointment. Walk-ins are accepted, but that is what it is--a walk-in. If you walk-in at a hair salon or doctors office, you will wait, right? Same here, so do not get all upset when you are not attended to immediately. The reality is if you want quality work, then you will wait your turn.Just because there is a cultural difference with the owner doesnt mean it is bad. She is not there to attend to your feelings. Just be firm in your response and she backs off.

Very rude, was in such a rush the guy scraped my old dip nail off when it needed to be soaked off. Hurt so bad and was very rude telling me to “pick something easy because he didn’t want to do something hard”. My nails are sore the next day and hurt to the touch from him scraping the dip off instead of soaking them. So bad never going back.

So I went in there to just get plain white nails no long ones just plain white and they charged 40 dollar’s for just white nails that is ridiculous and the girl didn’t even paint them right she had air bubbles in them and the top and sides of my nails were not painted.

There’s a sign that say walk in are welcome not true . This is The second time I have went to the shop and was turned around. Appointments only. Nail techs don’t arrive to the shop until after 10 I have been a customer of star nails since the shop open on West Main and North Gloster never had to experience being turned around because I didn’t make a appointment. I arrived at 8:00. Under new management .

Phong gives a great pedicure. She is always so sweet and nice. Tina did my nails and they look great, too!

Wish I could give no stars. I made an appointment with Nick and as soon as I got there it seemed like he was trying as hard as he could to get me out. I got an acrylic fill with gel polish. He didn’t let the timer on the gel light finish before he was putting my other hand in. The next day, all of the gel peeled off. I went back the following day and was very thankful they didn’t charge to redo the gel paint. However, the following day, all of the gel came off again. But it was the same feeling of being rushed out and the timer on the gel light was never able to run through to completion. Additionally, my nails chipped so bad throughout the week because the acrylic was so thin and horribly rugged. When I got to a new nail tech, she asked who did my nails because they were horrible.

Did an awesome job on my feet and toes. Best pedicure ever.

There are 2 reviews on here that are false. The salon shut down for 3 months due to the pandemic and most importantly the passing of the owners and their reviews were posted during Star nails closing time. Thank yall! Star Nails is one of the best places to get your nails done.

I asked for ombré and they complete botched it and wouldn’t fix it when I said I didn’t like it. I showed the picture of what I wanted several times and they still look awful. Please do not go here if you want ombré.

There is dust and dirt in the polish on my nails and could do what I asked for .

They have good customer service and was very quick and I will most definitely be back...
