Joined a little over a month ago and words cant explain how happy I truly am. They have an awesome friendly environment where everyone is willing to help you learn and get up to speed. Coach Anthony has really made me feel welcomed and a part of the team since day one. Cody has also done an amazing job instructing my two sons ages 5 & 7. Theyre a handful but hes had great success in handling them to the point where I no longer have to step in and their behaviors have already started to change at home! My children and I are hooked and we cant wait for the next day just to go to class!

This was my first time in a Jiu Jitsu class. Everyone in the class was great. When running through the drills Mercedes was very clear and thorough with her instructions. My partner was very patient while running the drills for my first time. I had a great time and look forward to learning and getting back into shape.

While visiting family in Tucson from out of state I was needing a place to train and hit up 10th Planet Tucson to see if I could drop in for a little while. Anthony and his team welcomed me with open arms from day one . At no time was I ever left out, or overlooked when it came to techniques, drilling, or live rolling. Ive trained all over the state of TX in FL and now AZ. Ive been privileged enough to attend seminars with many 10th planet blackbelts and some of the best jiu jitsu teachers, and coaches in the world as well. Anthonys facility and training is on par with them all. Very technical,and drill oriented which is what makes killers. I hope to keep the connection with these guys because Im gonna be in Anthonys ear for years to come asking him about 10P techniques.

I shopped around for a good BJJ gym here in Tucson. I asked around and 10th Planet kept coming up in a positive light. I took the introductory free class with my 17-year-old son and found the environment to be supportive and warm. First lesson we received direct instruction from the lead teacher that night (Anthony) and soon my son and I were tossing each other around on the mat pretty effortlessly. Anthony was supportive and perceptive, knowing when to step in and straighten us out when we got lost in the sauce. Other gym members were also helpful to give supportive feedback so that we could fine-tune our technique. This has been something that Ive wanted to do for a long time with my son, and I look forward to the positive effects that its bound to have on his character, our relationship, and the 30 lbs Ive gained since getting this desk job. Grateful.

I’ve never wrestled, never fought, never done anything even slightly adjacent to BJJ. I’m 2 days in and I love it. Met Anthony in the sauna when he was cutting weight for a fight. We hit it off and he invited me in. I know next to nothing about this sport but everyone’s welcomed me in with open arms and A+ attitudes so far. Love it. Looking forward to the rest.

My son and I started at 10th Planet Tucson about 3 weeks ago. I’ve had no prior training and was extremely intimidated to start but I was quickly put at ease after meeting the coaches and other members. They’ve been nothing but welcoming and helpful since our first classes and I couldn’t be more thankful!

After coming in for free wrestling/open mat on fridays and a Jiu Jitsu class, 10th Planet has been the place Ive been looking for! Extremely high energy, the environment is super friendly, and the people are great. All skill levels are in this gym from beginner to experts and every one of them are willing to help out any way they can. The staff are competitors as well as instructors so you know you are getting the best out of each lesson. Definitely recommend checking it out and they WILL get you in shape!

Came to there wrestling class and was super impressed with the technique and how They slowed everything down to make sure things are done the right way and not just going through the motions. I also came to a beginner jiu jitsu class and again had another great experience and happy with how everything went. If your looking for a friendly place where no one seems to have a chip on there shoulder this is where I would recommend.

Highest level of coaching available in the city of Tucson. People from all over the city come to the Friday night and Sunday day open mats! Great spot for everyone from beginner to pro athletes the vibe is incredible!

10th Planet Tucson is undoubtedly the premier academy in Tucson for grappling and MMA. Led by head coach Anthony Birchak, the grappling instruction is top-notch with a strong wrestling base and slick no-gi 10th Planet submissions. The Torotech MMA program has developed numerous high-level Amateur and Professional MMA and kickboxing competitors. The desire to improve is contagious as Birchak leads by example, competing at the highest levels of professional MMA and Jiu Jitsu on a regular basis. Mercedes and the rest of the coaches bring expertise from various wrestling, leg lock, and striking backgrounds and help to create a great family environment. 10th Planet Tucson is full of people from all walks of life who have come together to create a positive training environment and challenge themselves. I have trained at gyms in many states and multiple countries, and 10th Planet Tucson is by far my favorite place to train. I highly recommend anyone to come in and check it out.

This is a great place for kids to learn/train grappling skills with top tier instruction. Weve only been coming for a couple of weeks but everything Ive experienced has been really great.First off, the instructors are really hard to beat....no, really, I mean that literally. Look up Anthony Birchak. Hes literally almost impossible to beat. Im not signing up to try, I can tell you that much....Anyway, hes a great instructor and theyre very friendly to and excited about wrestling which is a huge plus because stable wrestling clubs are actually hard to find....and youre certainly not going to find many with their credentials.The best part for us, however, is the fact that its a solid family affair. The classes are run by a family, as a family, and with families all over and around the mats. There are a lot of brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers, all over the place....and its a very warm, very open dynamic. Thats not how it is at every martial arts school/dojo.10th planet is also very clean.If I had to find anything to gripe on it would be the fact that its kind of far from our home and that they use annual contracts.....but with a school this good, with this kind of environment, I am a lot less worried about throwing down for an annual commitment. We love it and were grateful that its here.

In all my travels I’ve never met an instructor like Anthony. The cool thing is that he is an active competitor and you can see his techniques in action.
