They do a fabulous job keeping my weeds under control so my landscaper can focus on more important tasks.

My neighbor referred me to Essential Pest Control because they spray her yard for weeds and she said they did a great job! I called them to set up an appointment and was told the scheduler was on lunch and she would call me back when she returned. I left all my contact information and waited but never received a call. I waited about 3 days and called back and was told again that the scheduler was on lunch but I would get a return phone call. Again, I waited but never received a call. I decided to call once more to set up a consultation because my neighbor raves about them. I left a message and it has now been about 2 weeks and I never received a phone call back. I ended up giving up and calling another company.

I’ve had the best customer service and response time from Arturo, the technician. He’s made sure any issues which arise are handled professionally and in a timely matter. Since signing up for the monthly pest service our house has had significantly less issues with critters.

I have worked with this company for over 2 years now. We purchased a house in Menlo Park area and it had some areas with termites. They came and did the treatment and they were gone. We have had a gnat/ plant bug problem and they came and inspected. With their suggestions for treatment, they were gone in less than 3 weeks. Recently, we have had a mosquito treatment done on our property due to the excessive amounts of mosquitos we had, and now they are gone. The initial visit the gentleman was a bit of an oddball, but he did quality work and within days we saw dead ticks all over the house. This thoroughly scared me. We unfortunately still saw our precious dogs covered in them. After the second visit our dogs were almost completely clear of these annoying critters. We just had our final visit and I am so excited to not spend 3 hours clearing my dogs of ticks.

Pest Control technician Jeremiah has been spraying our home for several months now and is just a really great guy. He always calls when he is on his way and is often early, but makes sure that being early is ok. He is very polite and builds relationships with his customers. He always interacts with everyone in the family – even my kids – and remembers details about our lives, then remembers to get an update on those things. He is very respectful when he is in my home and takes the time to listen then address any concerns we have. He is so thorough, not only in his work but in his explanations of the service he provided. Received an email regarding appointment. Appointment day came no call or notification that technician was running late. Technician did not show up at all. Unable to reach anyone as office is closed on Saturdays.

Technician Jeremiah has been serving our home for some time and has been very attentive to detail and professional. He is very cordial and always provide updates on the services provided.

We have been using Essential for regular pest control of our home for at least twenty years. We have also had our home treated for termites by Essential and have had yearly inspections for over 10 years. This year we need a treatment and Abel provided a thorough explanation of treatments available along with pros and cons of these treatments. Abel is very pleasant and professional and does not apply sales pressure. I always recommend Essential to friends and family.

I paid essential pest control $460 to get rid of our roach issues.A month and 15 days later my tenants were already complaining about pests again, and Essential pest control said I would have to pay them again to come back and fix the problem that they didnt solve for extreme prices the first time.-------Update 10/30.Essential pest control came back out on 10/28 to handle the roaches that were left from their first visit. I updated review from 1 star to 4. I would much rather to have not have to have left a bad review to get them to show up, and they are now asking if I want to pay an additional $400 to take care of bed bugs, since that was not in their initial quote. I will be going with another company to handle the bed bugs.

When I called to schedule a termite inspection, the woman who answered the phone was very polite, professional and answered all of my questions. James the licensed inspector came out and was also very polite and professional - he provided me with information regarding termites/pests in Arizona, the treatment process (and keeping my dog safe while the termites & pests are being treated) and was not pushy at all. Based on these experiences, I decided to go with Essential Pest Control! (will update if anything changes, but so far so good).

My husband and I purchased a house and during the termite inspection they found cockroaches. Essential said they could use a gas product on the house to “kill up to 99%” of the pests followed by three months of follow up treatments “to make sure they were gone.” The technician promised us we wouldn’t see any bugs after four weeks. We decided to buy the house and pay for the services based on the company’s assurances. They have NEVER once called to set up appointments. I have had to call weekly to find out when they scheduled them and then juggle my schedule to be available. They send you reminder emails which don’t have any important details, like when your appointment is. About five or six weeks in we were still seeing roaches and called the office. I explained that I was concerned that my job was under bid and the roaches are still all over the house. It is worth noting that I thought they were treating for three months... they weren’t! They scheduled me for weekly treatments and only mentioned at the end that it would be 6weeks of actual service work because the three months refers to bi weekly applications. My technician only ever used a pump sprayer and occasionally used the little powder puffing device. I never saw him apply the IGR baits from a tube... until the last application. This last week the tech never called. So my husband called the company and spoke to a young lady. She informed him that the contract had ended. He asked what he needed to do to keep the treatments going. The girl paused for a second and in the rudest way possible told him to “Find someone else to take care of it for you.” We have treated their staff with respect and have never been rude customers. The ONLY thing we could have possibly done to merit this type of treatment is to point out that the job was UNDERBID and ask to PAY to extend the contract. These people write checks with their mouths that their you-know-whats can’t cash. They will take your money, inappropriately use chemicals to CHASE the roaches around your house, making the problem worse, then tell you the resulting mess is your problem to fix. My next call is to file a complaint with the Attorney General’s office for fraud.

Essential sprayed my lawn 6 weeks ago supposedly with pre-emerge chemicals as well as weed killer. Ive been pulling new weeds for the last three weeks. They respray only if I pay them full price. Again!

I had a Black Widow living in my car by the pedals, and every pest control service I called turned me down saying they could not do vehicles. Essential Pest Control is the only company I found willing to do it. They were very nice on the phone scheduling my appointment, and were willing to work outside of their comfort zone to help me out .The technician, John, was excellent. He showed up and was very friendly, and made conversation the entire time he was working, all while working efficiently. He sprayed the vehicle and removed the widow quickly and I have not had any problems with spiders in my car since!

Essential Pest made good after I complained about their scheduler failing to call me back for over a week. I needed service before leaving on vacation.This time, the phone receptionist did not transfer me to another person or say I had to wait for another call back. She handled the scheduling directly and by the end of my call, she scheduled a tech to service the house. I wish I remembered her name to applaud her work.Ayrick, their tech, called me to tell me he was 30 minutes away. I appreciated this notification as I was running errands and he was arriving earlier than scheduled. I was able to get home in time. Ayrick was thorough in spraying the house and I felt I received good value for the service I was paying for. Thank you.

We always get lots of ants on our property in the summer. Essential Pest came out and treated our property, inside and out, for ants, spiders, etc. The representative was excellent, explaining the service and patiently answering all of our questions (including that the service is safe for pets and small children). We saw an immediate improvement in our ant issue. In addition, when contacting Essential Pest, they have always been very responsive and helpful. I would trust Essential Pest with any of my pest issues and would recommend their services to anyone.

Very positive experience. A swarm of bees decided to move onto the side of my house, and after calling a few places for price quotes, decided to go with these guys (one place wanted $695!). They showed up exactly when they said they would and were professional and courteous. Cost was very reasonable for service provided with guarantee. Would use them again.

We called Essential Pest Management to remove a bees nest that was in a tree near a swimming pool. This was the second season they had been there and we had no luck in removing them previously. I contacted Nicole to set up someone to come out and remove them. Most disappointing and incompetent customer service I have ever experienced.We bought our home in July 2018 and inherited the end of a Sentricon contract. The contract had one bait refill service left and Essential was eager to have us sign a new contract under our name. We scheduled them to come out anytime after 3 pm (when my husband gets home) and no one showed up. This happened three times before someone finally came. Each time the tech would either not show up, or would arrive before 3 and leave a note stating theyd missed us. On one attempt the tech called me to ask if he could come early, because otherwise, hed have to wait around till our scheduled time. I kindly explained to him that he needed to come after 3 pm as previously stated, and he said okay. Can you guess what happened? He never showed. I continually let the scheduler know how unhappy we were, especially considering the pending contract we had up in the air, and she never seemed to care. A month or so after the stations were refilled I started getting phone calls saying that if we werent going to renew then they needed to come pull the stations out. Against my better judgement I called back to schedule. When I requested, as always, that they come after 3 pm, the scheduler tried to suggest I schedule earlier because the techs like to go home early, and even suggested we just leave our gate unlocked all day, which I refused. She agreed to schedule at 3 pm. On 05/28/19 the tech called at 1:15 pm asking if he could come early. I explained to him that he needed to wait until 3 and he said, okay no problem. My husband got home at 2:30 to a note on the door written at 1:45 pm stating theyd missed us... When I called I was told that the tech had actually asked the manager what to do and the manager instructed him to come back and clock out, instead of coming to our scheduled appointment. I was never given an apology, was not handed over to the manager as I’d asked (he’d gone for the day by 3 pm apparently) and was just asked to reschedule. Needless to say, we declined to reschedule and are going to tear them out of the ground ourselves and throw them away.*in response to the owners (actually the marketing directors) response below, I was told by the scheduler that the manager approved us to remove them from the ground.

Essential pest control unfortunately did not take care of a issue I was having for roaches and we ended up canceling. It was tough decision as I absolutely loved our pest tech Andrew Trueblood was great. I wish he was the tech for our new pest control company as he worked hard biweekly. But scheduling was too hard, the chemicals used were not strong enough and supervisors failed to return calls. If another tech came out to my property I couldnt trust the job to get done and would end up receiving a bill anyway

The apartment complex does not give you an option when service people have to get in your home and most service companies do not care if they are friendly to you and your family. I speak as a Licensed Pest Control Tech.In my humble opinion, Essential Pest Control is a scam.Case in point.Cockroaches have been roaming this earth for over 400 million years.They are extremely adaptable.The Fact is that whatever chemiclel that is applied one month Must be changed the next month.A female cockroach will lay thousands of eggs over her life time of 7 to 13 months.The eggs are rock hard & as well are hidden in deep crevices.A cockroach travels at 59 inches per second, quicker than a Cheetah.A cockroach can hold their breath up to 40 seconds.Cockroaches will survive nuclear & atomic fallout.To the point that if cockroaches invade your Microwave, they will live & thrive even when the microwave oven is engaged over & over again & again.So, two weeks ago Essential Pest Control showed up.The first time in over 5 months.I had my cockroach problem under control as I have been purchasing the necessary solutions to control & eliminate these pests from the Do It Yourself store here in town.As well, my apartment is & always has been, spotless clean.My cockroach problem is the result of my nieghbors to the direct east of me in the next apartment.So I instinctively knew that when Essential Pest Control showed up, that do to their visit I would be seeing more cockroaches.Sure enough.In the two week period since Essential was here, I now have an Infestation to the point that I am under seize.Andrew the pest control tech told me he would be back in 4 to 6 weeks.A Joke on every level.Again.Due to cockroaches keen adapting abilities, chemical . applications Must be changed Every month.For the fact that whatever application was applied the previous month & killed the egg laying females, the hatched babies are impervious to that previous applied chemical.What a joke.Essential Pest Control will Never enter my dwelling again.The are joke & as far as I am concerned a scam.I am by far not the only residence of this large complex that share these facts & opinions regarding Essential Pest Control.

Jason Jones who is in my networking group, turned me on to Essential Pest Control (he does there marketing) . This company goes way beyond the call of duty and provide exceptional services, Essential Pest Control. We have had a long-standing problem year round with ants. The other pest control company we had been using for years did not get rid of them or return my calls when I told them there treatment did not work after 1 week. When Essential Pest control came out their specialist spent 30 minutes following the ants under our sink and followed an another that went under the window shade. As it turns out the area about out window is not sealed properly and that where the ants were getting in. He used a paste in all the exposed areas around the window and under the sink by the pipes where they were getting in. Its been 4 months and there is no sign of these ants. My husband asked if I thought the guy that came out was the owner because was so meticulous. Jason called me to follow up after I used their services. Essential Pest Control is the best! Jody Liller

Called Essential Pest Control to do a weed spray on my front yard. 3 weeks later I still had weeds, so I called them and notified them of the situation. They supposedly came out again but got no paperwork or anything since I was unable to be home at the time to prove this, and I didnt see any difference in my yard like the green dye or anything. Called 2 days later stating that there were MORE new weeds in my yard, and was told that I only had a 30 day Warrenty on the services provided and had to pay 25$ to even have them come out again since the 30 days had passed

Paul Cohee is our tech and let me tell you. He is wonderful and does a fantastic job. He strives for perfection and is knowledgeable in his profession. All of essentials techs are great and do a fantastic job for us.

I had my quarterly pest control done today. Arthur was great! Before he came into my house he put on booties over his boots. He took his time and asked if I was having any problems which I havent because I have been using them for over a year now. No Bugs or Weeds thanks to them.

I have had essential pest management for weed control service for several years at both homes I owned. I live in an HOA neighborhood and everyone knows how annoying it can be. The office did an amazing job scheduling and getting me letters to my HOA to get them to understand that I had just had the weeds treated. The weed control service is a great way to keep maintenance on the yard and to stay within compliance of the HOA regulations.

My wife and I called to schedule an appointment to have a one time treatment. After calling and scheduling, my wife received three call backs from the company within a half hour to reschedule, finally settling on September 20 at 9AM. On the date for which the service was to be carried out, we received a voicemail stating that the window for the technician to arrive would be from 9 to 10 oclock. Shortly after ten, my wife called to find out the status of the technician as he had still not arrived and the receptionist stated that our appointment was set for 11 oclock, but she will call to see if he can be there earlier. The receptionist appeared to have little concern and even seemed a little skeptical about our claiming a 9 oclock appointment, but we have a voicemail proving the appointment time. According to the invoice, the technician arrived at 12PM, three hours after the scheduled appointment. My wife has described technician as professional and pleasant (Jason, A.), but there appears to be major scheduling issues.

The customer service is good, always been very polite and professional. They came out and sprayed for scorpions several times and never got rid of the problem. I rent my current place so I asked before calling me or scheduling any appoinments call her and nake sure it is ok. This never happen they came out twice thinking they got the ok from my landlord, she didnt even know there was anything scheduled. After we both call to cancel services they came out, I told the person we had cancel the appt he just apologize said he would be on his way that he was not notified. Well they still charged her, and again i got an email about a scheduled appt. Reason I gave two stars, but the employees are very polite.

Customer service was great!! I had a bee hive in my back yard and with me being highly allergic I needed to call someone to help. I called Essentail Pest Control and Im thankful I did. They come out and took care of it the same day. I havent had a bee issue sense. Thank you Essential!

Updating my review......Our technician John was wonderful. He showed up on time, was polite, professional and knowledgeable. After the inspection I spoke with John briefly on what had happened over the phone. He apologized and explained what had happened. He advised us that that is not how they conduct business and ensured he would speak with his supervisor. We did decide to inquire with them on our other rentals based on our experience with John. We called last week to get one of our rental homes inspected for bed bugs before a new tenant moves in. The appt was scheduled for today at 1pm. At 1:09 we called the company to see where the technician was and was told by Naomi that the tech was in a meeting and would be at the home at 5pm since his meeting would not be over until 4pm. We asked her why we were not called since we had been waiting there. She stated that they thought there was a tenant at the home already and didnt realize the tech would be in a meeting and he didnt realize it would be a long meeting. Naomi then asked so do you want to reschedule this or not? No apology....we advised her that that was a little unprofessional that we were not called but really had no other choice since our tenant was waiting to move in. We ended up scheduling it for today at 5pm. We asked her if the tech does treatment if activity is found today and she stated it depends on the technician and whatever he wants to do. She then rushed us off the phone stating youre scheduled today at 5 and then hung up.I will come back after our appt today and update my review, however if we had to base our view of the company off of our encounter with Naomi, I would say horrible. The sad part is that we have 23 rental homes we wanted to get serviced by the company, however if this is how they conduct buisness, this is the only house of ours they will be servicing.
