I need a set of leaf springs for my Ford ranger level II pick up and they were no longer available through the Ford dealership. I planned on replacing them myself. The counter guy was extremely helpful and brought out a couple of different springs to match What I had. Anyway I the ride quality is great and price was good also.

My leaf spring shackels rusted off my truck and I needed to replace them, but found the bolts seized in the bushings. Had to cut the bolts off and have the old bushings pressed out and new ones pressed in. John R Spring and Tire did an excellent job replacing my bushings. Job was done quick and reasonable priced. Dave was excellent to work with. I highly recommend them.

Had this place install my front leafs on my F250 and they did a great job. Quick and easy. Fair pricing. Aligned it afterwards as well. I also purchased some U bolts from them and they do great work. Ill be coming back to have the rears replaced in the future. My father in law has been going here for years as well as his brother and theyve always recommended then to me. I brought my work truck in for front end repair. They replaced both lower ball joints, both inner tie rod ends, and did an alignment. The price was very fair and the work was exceptional. The front end mechanic is Dave. He worked at Bruces Front End Shop on Woodward in Royal Oak. 20 years ago I took 2 vehicles to him and both were repaired perfectly. Dave knows front ends. I was glad to find him again in the area. If you need front end work I highly recommend John R Spring. They also have a top notch reputation for spring and snow plow repair.

I came in this place around 4 in the afternoon asking when would be a good time to bring my vehicle and they told me to drop it off and leave the keys in the door and I didnt have a ride that night to do that so I came in the morning about an hour after they opened and they didnt have any more spots to fix my vehicle they must do really good work. But make sure you get your car there at 8 in the morning or theyll turn you away. I made two trips there still never got anything fixed.

Called them in the morning to confirm if springs would fix my issue and said that they would and to bring my vehicle in so they could look at it to see if I needed new springs or just an add on kit. I took it in there about 930 am on a Sat. and I was called about 1pm to let me know what would fix the issue and it may need to be finished up on Monday which we were fine with since they closed at 3 pm on Sat.. I called about 5 min. to 3 pm to check if it was finished and they said it just got done. I asked at that point if I could come by and pick it up, I am about 10 min. away and they said sure.Not sure how many places would wait later on a Sat. to pick up your vehicle, but it was very appreciative and the quote for the price of the work was closer to the lower range of the quote.Also the extra springs was just what I needed.

A co worker of mine was getting a plow put on his truck and called 4 days after dropping off the truck to check on the status of it, after being told it would only take a day to a day and a half, the person who he was speaking to was inceridibily rude and disrespectful on top of tell him no one has even touched the truck and it would be another 3 days till it was done. After just listening to him talk to them I can tell they have horrible customer service and i would not recommended them to everyone. I’m so glad he went to pick up my truck and took it somewhere else.

I was looking to add leaf springs to my new truck. I called Mon, July 1st to see if they would be open on Fri July 5th. They stated that they didnt know yet. I called the next day and they still didnt know. I called the corp office and they didnt know either and said that it was the shop managers decision. I emailed the shop manager and asked if they would be open Fri the 5th or Sat the 6th. I got no reply. I called Wed July 3rd and asked the shop again if they would be open the 5th. After complaining to me about my contact attempts he stated YES we will be open. I arranged a ride to/from their shop on the 5th and they were closed when I got there. Their customer service is a joke. I have taken my personal vehicles as well as my company vehicles there for many years. That stopped on Fri the 5th. My truck has already been serviced elsewhere and they have lost a long time customer. A note to the arrogant phone person at the shop. GOODBYE..

These guys know what they are doing. I needed plow electrical parts, last min. They were going to close soon for the day, the parts guys were not eager to push me out the door with the wrong parts at closing, instead treated me as if i were the first customer of the day, although i am not familiar with snow plow components, they were helpful despite my knowledge, i will repeat my business with this business

I first took my truck to Aldean in Auburn Hills to have the rear leaf spring shackle replaced but they quoted me $365. So I dropped the truck off at John R Spring and they replaced it for $110 parts and labor. Awesome!!! I will be returning to John R Spring for future work!

These guys came as a recommendation from a few people. Ive known the business since I was a young kid. I had issues with Bill Brown Ford not performing an alignment correctly and was looking for someone I could just have the job done correctly by experts who actually know alignments.They did warn me that they were super duper busy and it may not get done within 1 week. Dropped it off on 2/26. It went into the shop on 3/9.I have GPS tracking on the RV, so I see everywhere it goes. On 3/9 it went 1.4 miles and it took 1 hour and 52 minutes of RUN time. Looking further into it, the RV was idled for 1 hour and 44 minutes.I had specifically asked to have caster set at a value that is known to be appropriate for Ford motorhomes. It requires additional parts that I provided to them. Ford leaves HUGE specifications on their E-450 chassis so that pretty much any alignment setting is supposedly ok. Anyone worth their salt would understand that the trucks dont handle well if left to the standard Ford garbage specs.When he called to tell me the motorhome was done we went over the specs. Unfortunately, these guys are not experts at what they do and other than trying to get the spec I asked for (which left a gap left to right of 0.5 degrees, not acceptable), they hid behind the Ford specs. That left positive camber on the front, which is really undesirable. Would have been an easy phone call to make, but never got it except for all done, come pick it up.They didnt give me the old parts back either. Starting to wonder if they actually installed the parts they said they did.Also said they couldnt remove the one tire pressure sensor. Again, easy phone call and I could explain how to remove it since Ford doesnt provide a TPMS system on these motorhomes I had to buy an aftermarket one.Also now missing side door key......

Service sucks people are rude. Find another place to take your plow. If I could give them a -5 I would.

My leaf spring broke on my 2010 GMC Sierra. Never having this problem before, I called Shadowwoods Auto Center in Roseville, whom I have a long standing relationship with, and they recommended John R Spring. I called and they said bring it in now, no appointment necessary. They took the truck in almost immediately, took about an hour and a half and it was like it never even happened. It cost $166.00, less than half of what I was quoted on the phone from another shop.As far as the two negative reviews about John R Spring. The staff was not rude at all to me. Not outgoing and talkative, but very business like and they were busy. Ill take that with a quality repair any day!! Also, they do exactly as you ask. If you wanted more work done all you have to do is ask. I hate a pushy repair shop that trys to sell you work you dont need. Ill be back to John R Spring next time I need them.

Understaffed or not the right staff... I just needed alignment done. They did nothing after keeping my vehicle for eight days. I called them four times in 4 different days, and every time they said I was next up. I finally gave up and went elsewhere.
