I was charged $10,000. For just a 500 square foot addition crawl space. The drain they put around the inside doesnt work unless we are in flood conditions, meaning that the sump is not the low spot in the system. The center tile had water running out of it, meaning it was installed correctly. The pump is too large for the crock they used, it takes the center tile 30 seconds to turn on the pump and 10 seconds for the pump to empty it so the pump was turning off and on all the time. The discharge pipe was connected to the floor joist rattling the floor each time the pump turned on. The system was so loud my wife had to move out of the bedroom. To fix all this I moved the pipeline to the ground added a check valve and covered the pipe with sandbags. The nice white plastic they put up doesnt stay up with tape they used, I stamped it back up. The photos show you what it looks like after 10 months. The switch has stuck on at times so the pump runs non stop. And it has stuck off which means we had standing water in the crawl space. I am getting ready to replace the pump and switch on my own because I can do a better job.
One word Honest! I had other companies take a look at my leaky basement and each had a way of removing the water for some serious money$, but not actually fixing the leaky problem. StayDry came, looked and gave their honest opinion on how to resolve my issue and without any costly repairs on the inside. Thank you for being honest, a rare breed in this day and age.
