I just finished my appointment with Mary, at, and she did a fabulous fabulous job on my pink & white ombre nails! She is meticulous and professional and an artist in every sense of the word. Their techs are actually very very good.My nails always look fantastic, but its overshadowed by the amount of time you spend sitting, waiting,....making an appointment is a suggestion...Typical I spend 3 hours there. 2 hours waiting, and an hour on my nails. Its very frustrating, theres no consideration for anyones time. I dont recommend them at all, for that reason.

I’m from out of town & I didn’t have time to get my nails done before I left so I searched for a few places in traverse & decided on Star Nails $ I’m so happy I did!! I’ve been getting my nails done consistently for over 10 years & I can truly say the dip nails Mary did are one of my favorite sets! She is very kind! The young man who did my pedicure was so polite as well!! Wether you live here or are from out of town, I 100% recommend coming here!!

This is my go-to nail salon in Traverse City! Their technicians are super consistent across the board and the salon is always very clean. I always leave BNS with fresh, pretty nails.

Will start with good overall. pedicure was amazing. nail experience, not so good. the station was covered with previous several peoples nail filings, even up all over the sheid hanging in between nail tech and me. being a nurse i have an ocd with sanitary everything. the nails were beautiful when i left, only 5 days out and need a fill alot sooner than i expected. plus the charge of upgrade for $5 i have no idea what that was for. overall not bad not spectacular though.

Wow I visited Mary for the first time today, she knocked it out of the park! She was able to remove My old nasty set of acrylics( quite painlessly I may add) and gave me exactly what I wanted ! Beautiful work done by a talented tech!

This is a great salon with quality, excellent service and very reasonable prices! There are plexiglass shields, hand sanitizer, and they take your temperature when you arrive. Mary is awesome.

The tech was in a great big hurry And really didnt do very good job.

Absolutely terrible. I went in to have my nails painted with shellac they were see-through after two coats. I told the guy they look terrible and he told me it was because of the color I picked out the color I picked was hot pink. You can see the paint lines and see through the color. I do not recommend.

I got there right before closing and squeezed me in and made sure to check over my nails and fix them when I had bummed my hand. Very nice women and excellent service.

The person who did my pedicure did a poor job. Polish looked like a child put it on. I will need another pedicure in one week. They usually last 4 weeks.

I LOVE Star Nails TC! I travel over 30 min just to get my nails done there. I used to get gel but Michelle introduced me to SNS and I havent gone back to gel since then. Every time I go, I tell them exactly what I want and they always do it perfectly. All the workers are very friendly and the service is great. I am really happy with my choice of going to Star Nails TC and I highly recommend it!

I have tried five different nail salons in town and at least 10 different nail techs. Mary is by far the most amazing one I have seen here or anywhere else. Her nail art is spectacular! She gave me the perfect nail shape and you could tell she loves what she does. She will be my nail tech for as long as I live here!

This is the nicest cleanest nail salon..the staff was efficient and very friendly..I usually go to other spas when in town. I got better services here and it was way cheaper. I will go here from now on! Jason did a great job and was very friendly..great place..I have a feeling it is beeing overlooked because of all the other salons. This place is a gem.

Mary at Star nails is wonderful! The staff here are very kind and welcoming. The prices are very comparable to most other nail salons in the area, and much better than some. I have been getting the dipping powder lately and my nails have never been stronger and lasted as long anywhere else that Ive been. It makes the money I spend worth it. Im so thankful to have found this place. You also get a punch card to receive $5.00 off your service after it is full. I do not know of another nail salon that does that! I went to Star Nails TC for the first time this morning. I usually go to another place super nearby but they were booked and I thought Id give this newer place a try. So glad I did! They were extremely friendly. Others have mentioned the cleanliness as well but this is one of the cleanest places I have been to in the valley! They did a great job, were reasonably priced, and genuinely showed a lot of pride in their work. They asked me multiple times for feedback and were committed to making it a great experience. I already cant wait to go back for my next mani pedi!Id absolutely be back if I need my nails done any time Im in town. Great service, great staff.

The environment at Star Nails is excellent! Whenever I walk in, I am greeted by the workers and I feel welcomed to pick out my color for the day. The service is quick, especially because I am a procrastinator and I never seem to be able to make appointments with my busy lifestyle and they get me right in... I would recommend this place to anyone!

I went in for a mani/pedi day with my mom and sisters while i was in town for my sisters wedding.I had an amazing pedicure, totally perfect! But I had acrylic dips, and 4 days after, I have had two pop off. Really disappointed.

I could not have been more pleased with my experience here! Mary gave me stiletto tips, dip powder in my go-to color, and free-handed a gorgeous design! I am so happy I finally found my salon! :)

Mary and Michelle are awesome! The guys are good too, some more friendly and talkative than others, but all do a good job! New pedicure chairs, very nice. There was only one time me something undesirable playing in the television, not great for customers. Other than that I give them 5 stars.

They close at 7:00pm. I arrived exactly at 6:00 pm. Two employees were sitting around playing on their phones. The place had no customers. They would not do my dip or pedi because they said they wouldn’t have time. I went down the street to PRO Nails and they got me in and out in a hour with a dip and pedi. Too bad for Star Nails...lazy employees with poor customer service.

So, this was my first time ever getting my nails done. I got shellac, with a base coat and glitter. Used a UV light of some sort between each coat of polish. Bill did my nails and he was very pleasant and patient with me. A little small talk, not over doing it. Now, I dont normally do these types of things, but I gotta say, I think 30 bucks is a bit too much to pay for this service. I gave Bill a decent tip cause he deserved it, but the base fee of 30 bucks seemed excessive. My nails look pretty though. No mistakes that I can see. I went on a Saturday, made my appt earlier in the day, for 5pm. It was not busy at that time, Bill said I just missed the busyness.

The only place for a consistently good 10/10 gel manicure. Been coming here for 3 years and they literally have never failed.

So I went in around 1130 for a full set powder!! Needless to say my left hand is awesome a little longer than my right but it looks great. My right hand looks like I did it myself! Theres spots that dont have any​ color theres a lot of just powder that wont come off. Also where the power didnt dry and it came off he had to redo it so I now have two dark spots on my nails..And for the powder spots on my nails it has to stay there unless he takes it all off and start from scratch... I recommend you speak up and speak clearly before the do any polish also all my nails are bumpy!

Awesome people!!! They are always clean and do my nails fast! Super sweet service, they will get you in really fast. Ly and Kim do my nails and they always do a great job, but then everyone there does.

Service is inconsistent. Staff makes fun of customers and think they dont know because they are speaking in their native language. Today, the service was so bad that I will never go back.I was assigned to Andy - who was more interested in his cell phone than his job. The color coats were not evenly applied. UV lights were used to dry the polish, the timers were not set. My hands would get hot and I had to remove them. When I asked about the timers, Andy said he was counting! No way. He never once told me when the time was up and to remove my hands. After the top coat was applied, I would see a ridges between the top and color coats.When I voiced my concern quietly, Andy told me it was not his job to make sure the color was consistent! He raised his voice and belittled me in front of the other customers. He told me his name and said the next time I came back, I was to make sure I asked not to get him. I replied that I would not be returning. Andy started yelling again and berating me .... for no good reason. At that point, a different staff member came up and offered to make it right. I was so turned off, I just decided to cut my losses.

So clean! Nail technicians kind and well trained ! Also price was great for combination of manicure /pedicure.

Mary, Michelle and the staff are the best. I make it a point to use them and have largely abandoned my Grosse Pointe salon. Another bonus of my traverse office is Star Nails.

Horribly unprofessional, staff were watching vietnamese television and sitting and lounging around like it was their personal residence, on their personal computers and phones, music playing also in their foreign language. I only went there because the other place I go to regularly was full. I will never go there again. I suggest that unless you can speak vietnamese and enjoy watching vietnamese game shows, and it wouldnt make you uncomfortable that the staff is more interested in watching the show then providing service to the clients..avoid at all cost. Cannot believe they are still in business, I had been there once a year ago and it was not like that at all then.

I have went to another well known nail salon for 3 years, they couldnt get me in. So I tried Star Nails hands down BEST and fastest nail salon in traverse city!!
