I went there with my friend to pickup her rental car. The staff is really helpful and friendly. The rental car is relatively new and in great conditions. Definitely recommend Enterprise Rent-A-Car to all.

The car was fine but the agent said the expensive price was because shortage of cars. That was SO untrue! There was plenty of cars on the lots.Also, we thought we were renting a car from the Traverse City Airport, but it was a mile away. The lady at the airport Enterprise offered a list of taxis, uber, and other modes of transportations to the 1 mile rental office. There was none available, so my husband and friend walked to pick up the car. What happened to Enterprise delivering the car to you?? Isnt that a courtesy you provide?The lady at the Enterprise counter did say... oh, you can just leave it at the airport, when you return but never said it would be a $25.00 charge.We have used Enterprise several times in our travels but this was the worst experience we have had, We intend to travel extensively in our retirement years, but this will effect our decisions on our rental car provider in the future.Philip and Judy SalleyHaughton, LA

The lady at the counter was rude and condescending. Despite not being noted on Priceline, Enterprise wanted to charge an additional $300 to rent their car. I had an extra $200 available on the card, but not the extra $100. As a result, I wasnt able to rent the car.The lady said the extra fee was in case I stole the car. Really? Im renting a $40,000 SUV, paying $650, and if I steal it, you figure the extra $300 makes a difference?Instead of working to find a solution (maybe use another card for the difference) she just took the keys back. Thankfully we decided just to take our van on the trip - but the waste of time and poor treatment at the office left a lot to be desired.Had the fee been pointed out on Priceline, I probably wouldnt be as upset. But it wasnt clear or clearly stated.Wont be renting from Enterprise again.

Just had to rent a car while mine was in the shop and the staff was friendly and courteous.

I loved all the employees. They were so excited for me. Everything went fast and smooth and I had no issues. They even drove me to my vehicle where it was parked when I returned the car 🥺

If there was a no star option is give that Customer service worst EVER!! Not to mention the over pricing. 300$ for 5 days plus 200$ deposit!! If you have to go here avoid kelly the manager. Not only is she rude and disrespectful she knows nothing of how there procedures work. I left an item in my rental. It was a weekend so I had to wait Till Tuesday. She could not locate the car, told me I was in the wrong location, Once she realized I wasnt excepting this, proceeded to tell me it may have been sold, then another story that its rented for next 10 days. Mind you Ive called the 1800 number over the weekend n the car has not been rented. So basically I had to become an investigator n call 1800 number to find out what really was going on...turns out the car was being serviced came back Tues afternoon and rented that afternoon. They had my items Tues afternoon and didnt Get ahold of me!! The item was medication so it was highly important. I ended up calling the office Wednesday to inquire about my receipt I had yet to receive and ask a different person who clearly knew procedures better and FINALLY I was helped appropriately and got my items. This location is a joke I called them to complain about the so called manager to find out Im on the do not rent list because she has no customer service skills and doesnt know her job. I could care less and wouldnt have EVER went back anyways. RENT AT YOUR OWN RISK

I reserved the car online; when I went to pick it up, the process was completed smoothly and professionally. The Enterprise employee was efficient, friendly and answered all my questions.Dropping off the car was just as pleasant. I will use Enterprise again!

Great cars great people great service....hard to find in todays world!

I am giving them 2 stars because there were good and bad with my experience. The worker dropped off my rental car to me at the place I had to drop my car off to get work done at which was very convenient. However when offered Enterprise’s coverage for my rental I was never told that my own full coverage insurance would cover me if needed in my rental. I was basically scammed out of $120. Beware of this when renting from them.

Enterprise faltered slightly with my latest experience. The car reserved for me was very dirty on the outside and if I hadnt spoken up I would have been sent down the road. The interior was fine. Once I did bring the cars condition to the office the gentleman waiting on me did remedy the problem by having the car washed on site. He also allowed me to return the car at no charge for the fuel for my inconvenience. All in all I was very satisfied with my experience.

I have rented from enterprise many times in my hometown of Traverse City Michigan. I was a high school coach and would often rent suburbans from them. I needed to take a trip to a sailboat down in North Carolina from Traverse City and requested a suburban, when I arrived it was an explorer which disappointed me but no big deal. I explained to the good people at the counter that it was likely that I may be an hour or two late from when they closed five days later on a Friday night. They said that would be OK and they wouldnt charge us theough the weekend. you know where Im going with this, we showed up about 7 PM friday and i dropped the keys in the dropbox as was discussed and sure enough, they charged my card for seven days instead of five. i called monday morning and spent about 45 minutes in one of the most frustrating conversations i have ever had. (i majored in political science and human communications heading towards a law degree, both my parents had masters degrees in social work, i am the youngest of six children and own several successful business i know what bad communication is)Enterprise really messed up, thankful that there are other car rental companies in town.

The car was great and the staff was exceptional! It was faster and easier than the last time I rented a car from another company. If I’m driving anywhere out of state I’m going to use their service again, it’s far better than putting miles on my own truck and it’s a great opportunity to drive a fun comfortable car! I suggest the premium elite SUV, I got a suburban and it was by far the most comfortable car I’ve ever driven! It also gets surprisingly good mileage, I got 23mpg out of it, and the technology package blew my mind! I actually really miss the car.

Gave me a rear wheel drive car in snow covered northern Michigan, which is not good. Swerved all over, got stuck in 6” of snow, etc. Then, the tire that had 40,000 miles on it blew out and couldn’t get roadside to help. Changed the tire myself and asked for a different vehicle, and they said they couldn’t. Finally I just took it back before the due date and said I’d find another means while my car (all wheel drive) was done being repaired. All in all I ended up missing two days of work, so that was costly.

I have been renting from Enterprise for close to two years and I couldnt ask for a better experience. The staff is amazing, always friendly and helpful. They really treat you like family. Thank you guys for everything you do!

Great experience!Although the car lot on Garfield Avenue in Traverse City didnt have the economy car I had reserved that day, I was given another vehicle with a couple of discounts granted by the manager there, Mr. Daniel King. Mr. King was very gracious and kind in showing me how to operate the alternate vehicle (a Nissan pick-up truck). Up until then, I had never driven a pick-up truck, but given Daniels reassurance, I was able to drive it off the lot and eventually drove it all the way back to my home state, Virginia. So thank you, Daniel, and kudos to you for your outstanding customer service! Also Jason at the counter also did a very nice job in being helpful and respectful to a customer like me, when I called back a few days later to ask a question.Well done, Enterprise!

Unbelievable. I have my debit card stolen then my car gets hit. Ford arranged for me to pick up a loaner through Enterprise. Enterprise insists on charging me a deposit anyway. No debit card, no deal, no exceptions, no car. No work. Thanks for making a horrible situation even worse.

I would pick any other rental car company at this airport. My wife and 2 kids flew in and they gave our car to someone else. Left them stranded with no help or any options. Said they had cars coming in next day. The car that was rented was already paid for. Customer service non existent.

Daniel is amazing t! He goes above and beyond for his customers. He has high standards for his vehicles going out and if they are not up to where he believes they should be, he makes them right before leaving the lot, example he did not believe the vehicle we rented was cleaned to his satisfaction, so it was redone. He truly cares about his customers. I can not say enough good things about Daniel. And no, I never met him before our rental, i believe in great service and when someone exceeds that Im going to make sure everyone knows!

I have been a long-time Enterprise customer because their staff is friendly and helpful. However, more and more of my interaction is on-line (reservations, extend rental days, and review past rentals). The reason that I am rating only three stars is that Enterprise is falling behind relative to other travel related companies. Im busy when Im on the road and need to take care of issues quickly. Too many time I have to call into talk with someone and end up either in phone-loops on on REALLY long hold times! I will try a few of the other companies to see if there is one that works better for a busy business traveler.

I loved the vehicle and the easy pick up and drop off feature. I did not like the fact I was to pay just over 300$ for a week rental, but they charged another 200$!

These guys are the most friendly & courteous. Ive had to get a rental twice in the past few years. Hopefully no misfortunes in the future but if something happens, Enterprise is my go to rental place. Thanks for being so great to me!

Very happy with Enterprise Rent-A-Car on Garfield in Traverse City. Tony always takes such good care of me when I call or come in. Recently I came in to rent a care due to my vehicle being in the shop and I was able to get exactly what I wanted -- the Nissan Ultima. Really happy with the service I always receive!

Always excellent service

Was rushing to get there before close and made it with 3 min to spare. The service was top notch and they did not seemed rushed. My issue was they would not even consider staying open for us 5min after close if we got stuck in traffic to get there before close. I get why but didn’t like they wouldn’t even consider. Overall it was good service aside from that and vehicle was very clean.

Rented SUV gone way from Bonita Springs FL to Try City, Mi. Did not charge me a drop off fee. Picked me up in Bonita Springs and the car was a new Ford Escort. Excellent service pick up and drop off. Great deal for $150 .

Excellent customer service. Due to an auto accident, we needed a last minute rental. The employees and specifically the manager went above and beyond to accommodate us and made us comfortable with our rental/situation since we were dealing with the insurance company which really helped us out.

Booked for 12pm. Arrive, told to return at 1pm.Return at 1pm, told to return at 2pm.Return at 2pm, car now ready but they will not accept my temporary license that they literally accepted the week prior at this exact location.Summary: Burned > $40 in taxi rides and hours of my time, only to not deliver promised service, and subsequently missed the interview I took a flight and a week of paid work get to. On the very slim chance I ever use enterprise again, it will not be this location.

Showed up to get the car I rented and they had no cars available even when I set it up before hand. Ruined a business trip since they waited inside talking and took an hr to tell me they had no cars but have two in the lot.

Rental experience was good, as expected. My only issue is with the 24 hour billing. I returned the vehicle about 2 hours after the time due back and unfortunately I was charged for another 24 hours, seems like it should be prorated.

Great customer service that is unexpected these days. Located about a mile from the airport and easy to find. Since Enterprize was out of the vehicle size I reserved, upgraded substantially at the same rate. Kelly was extraordinary! She walked around the vehicle checking for damage and made certain we were in agreement. Highly recommend renting from this facility!

I have had a great experience with this branch in the past, however this past Friday I called this branch 5 times and each time waited on hold for over 10 minutes, listening to the same on-hold message over and over to then have their automated phone system disconnect me because I was on hold for so long. I finally ended up driving to the branch to make the reservation in person, however, I was told that I had to make the reservation online even though I was at the branch. So now I have to use my phone to make the reservation while the guy waiting on me sat there playing on his phone. This was for a corporate account and over the past 10 years, Ive never had to make a reservation online. An hour later I finally have the car rented but now I needed it to be delivered to my office because they dont have room in their lot for me to leave my personal car. I told the guy waiting on me that I needed it no later than 4:30pm. long story short I had to end up using my personal car for a work trip because the car was not delivered until after 5pm, and I had to be in Detroit, MI by 10pm. I called the branch at 2pm, 3pm, with the same result as before, finally got through at 3:30pm and was told it would be to my office by 4:30pm. I did not drive this car a mile but was still charged for it. Not very happy with this branch at all, Ive tried calling them a few more times to dispute the charge but once again I cannot get through to anyone.3/8/18 - Update They ended up giving me a full refund and apologized for the mistake. I have rented a half a dozen cars from them since then and each time they have surpassed my expectations. Keep up the good work!!!

If you need a car go here!!!The customer service is so good.We had a rental from Hurtz but the lady was very rude and didnt even try to help us. We were in quite a predicament. We just happened to see the enterprise on the corner of airport and Garfield. And decided to go in.The were able to use our debit card because we have Michigan Ids. That is huge.Then we were trying to get a car that night and the people there did everything they could to get us a car. And we did.Best Customer service I have ever had wit ha car rental place.Go here dont even go through the hassle of the other places.

Be sure you have all of your things with you before you drop off the car. I left a pair of sunglasses in the car and they lied to me about not finding them. There is NO doubt they were there, but they blatantly lied to me. I hope they enjoy my sunglasses. In addition there is no parking there, and no communication about where to park. This is very poor service all around.The manager contacted me and promised to refund a portion of our bill due to the poor service we received. He was nice on the phone, but months later, there still hasnt been any sort of a refund. Poor service.

I came across this office in desperation of needing a vehicle for the weekend. First experience there was okay, I received the awful 18 Malibu with horrible tires and it was an experience that made me wonder if renting would be something I would often consider with long travels. I returned the vehicle and told them of the problems I had, and didn’t really think I was actually heard. Next weekend, again needing a vehicle for the travel, I decided I’d give it another round, researched different things and what to avoid renting a car. Rented a different vehicle class, to avoid that awful Malibu, showed up to pick it up, lightly expressed my concerns for he vehicle I may receive. (I really just wanted a vehicle with good tires for the Michigan winter, and a break system that didn’t lock me out of using the breaks) He gave me a free upgrade to a premium vehicle and I couldn’t have been happier with it! I knew at that point they heard my concerns, and did take them seriously. I will continue to take my business there and refer friends. Drop off is easy, and pick up is easy. I love dealing with the gentleman that took in the vehicle each time I’ve been there. Don’t deal with the Airport when renting, go down the road not even a mile, and rent your vehicle from this office.

They are great and they worked with me. But the system really needs to give some leeway as to when you your vehicle back in, and not charge you for a half day or whatever when you turn vehicle in 30 minutes after the original time. You may be dealing with something that is out of your control and that cod be why you where late.

I used Enterprise because it is the company my insurance company uses. I was very satisfied. During the time I needed a rental I actually rented two cars from Enterprise. Both were excellent.I am going to be in Montana soon. I learned that Enterprise is available at the Missoula airport. My recent experience was so satisfactory that I will be using Enterprise when I am there

Friendly helpful staff at all branches I have used. I would say to always check CD player and under the seats when you pick up and drop off a car. This seems to be a common thing they forget to double check on multiple occasions. They are not open on weekends, but airport ones are. Airport ones can not take payment for branch offices. Airport ones charge more. I still have not received member points from months ago?

I always get professional service from Enterprise. The cars are ready when I stop in to pick up my wheels. They take the time with each customer to answer questions etc. They will point out the little things that you need to know, like where the release is for the gas cap cover or where the wiper blade button is. They treat you like a customer and not just a car rental person, get in and sign here and get out, NEXT person please. This Traverse City Enterprise location is tops in customer service and the local body shops know this and will refer their customers here too.

Used Enterprise while our car was in being repaired. Car was a bit smoky smelling, had it been a deal breaker I would have exchanged cars. Was only using it for work and home though. Had a misunderstanding regarding he coverage we were charged for over the 5 day rental. With some contacts we were able to resolve the this and charges and were reimbursed. Will rent again.

Excellent service! Everyone was very friendly and professional. When I went to the office to return my rental car they asked me if I needed a ride and I said yes. The guy behind the counter went outside to check the car. A lady behind a partisan heard that I needed a ride and caught the driver that had just returned and told him to wait a minute for me. I really appreciated this so I didnt have to wait longer for a ride.

I will never rent a car from this place again. I called about a week in advance to reserve a car and was quoted a very affordable rate, including insurance. Got there the day we had scheduled only to find out the price we were quoted on the phone was about $200 less than the actual price. They blamed it on the new girl and told us they would give us a discount due to the confusion (which only ended up being $20). The car we got was nice, but it had barely enough gas in it to get to the gas station across the street and they wrote it up as having 1/4 tank, which we didnt notice until we were well on our way down the road with the full tank that we provided. We returned the car a day early and got charged an additional $25 the following day. Im still not sure why it wasnt part of the initial charge but the receipt makes it seem legit. Overall, it was a bad experience and I felt like we were getting ripped off at every turn. Never again. Ill pay more and go to someplace less shoddy.

Terrible planning and employee scheduling. I am rarely able to get the vehicle I need because they just arent staffed appropriately, so they try to tell me to rent from the airport (which has screwed up every reservation I have given them), but that adds about $50 to my rental fee if I rent at the airport. And make sure you get a confirmation number. They consistently forget to give them to you and then youre the one screwed over when they lose your reservation. After working extensively with downstate locations I am appalled by the service up here.

They were out of cars when my husband was trying to rent a car for a trip to see his stepdad one last time. He tried driving his truck to another location to rent, there were more issues. They dont put snow tires on their rentals and the vehicle was not good for winter driving on top of the fact that the state of Montana (which he has to go through) requires snow tires. Next we were told by the toll free line that we would both have to come in to switch the reservation into my name so he could just drive my vehicle after putting snow tires on it. The location we rented from (inside Fox Motors) is closed on Saturday so we had to go to the Garfield location, where we were told since we are married they didnt need to do anything to switch it!

Did not have the car I requested so I had to drive a van, staff was nice enough

The hours stink. They close at noon Saturday. Had reservation for two months. Arrived a few minutes late due to flight and everyone gone. They could have tried to reach out to me or even stayed a few extra minutes. Good customer service is about going the extra mile. Now I am stuck here with no car. Im hoping they are not charging my card. Oh and they say they pick you up but they dont. Had they picked me up I would not be in this predicament. Oh and this is from Jessica shoup not Brian shoup. Im sure their going to respond and say email customer service but what good is that going to do? Is it going to get me a car? No..

Staff was very friendly and the car was clean and ready on time. My only complaint is that I ran out of windshield washer fluid halfway through my trip.

These guys are crooks! Do yourself a favor and just go to another rental agency. Even if its the other Enterprise at the airport. The manager here WILL steal from you any chance he gets.

Enterprise has always taken care of me whenever I rent a car from them, They also have the best prices and friendliest staff. They are my go to Rental car company!

My need to rent a car was due to a car accident. My own car wad totalled and I rented the car from Enterprise for about 7 days. Staff were courteous and profesdional. This is a busy place and there was some wait but it was expected. The car I rented was a 2015vor 2016 Kia Sportage (which I like a lot) and was clean inside and out. My only complaint about my experience with Enterprise is that after I had my car for a couple days sn employee called me to say I needed to drive back to Enterprise because the tabs on my plate were expired. When I looked at the plate I was quite surprised that the license plates had been expired for well over a full month. It would have been a major inconvenience to get pulled over for expired plates! Otherwise my experience at Enterprise was very good.

I reserved a car online, the day before my trip. The car was ready when I arrived and the associate upgraded my car at no additional cost. Service was great!

Ill stick with Avis. $250 isnway too much of a deposit. Plus they are nazis about the return time. I was 30 min late after driving 20 hours straight. They tryed to charge me for another whole day... but dont worry they will just take it out of your $250 deposit.
