We rented the 21’ Hurricane for the day on Lake Leelanau 8/3/21 and had a blast. Tammy and Brad were very accommodating and informative to us, especially on short notice. Brad delivered the boat on time and took the time to ask our stupid questions without making us feel as ignorant as we were. The boat was immaculate and easy to operate. Despite some reluctance, the family had an awesome time and it truly ended up being the highlight of the trip. I would highly recommend renting from them again!

Tammy and Brad are boaters and know boats, I have rented a pontoon boat every year for 4 or 5 years possibly longer, the pontoon boats are impeccable, I respect how they take care of their boats.They are always on time dropping off and picking up, Brad makes sure yourboat is tied up or anchored securely. I rented a 19-foot powerboat (the Sea Hunt) from Sail & Power Boat Rental in early August 2021. The boat was in excellent condition (near new to me) and it was perfectly clean. The owners communication was always friendly and timely, and delivery and pickup of our rental boat was perfectly executed. Sail & Power Boat Rental gets my highest recommendation!

Been renting from Brad for over 25 years and we have always been more than satisfied! We rent Jet Skis everytime and they are always top notch! From start to finish the whole experience is 10/10 everytime! I Will always rent from here and I recommend this place to anyone!

We rented for the second year a pontoon from Sail & Power. The boat was in great condition and they were even accommodating when I didnt want to deliver it back in a storm to move the return time. Would rent from them again in a heart beat.

My 9 year old and I rented a jet ski for Long Lake and our experience was great! They provided great customer service and the jet ski was in great condition. We had a blast getting to check out the lake and will be renting again from Sail and Power Boat Rental.

Great experience. Tammy and Chris were excellent. Very detailed, no surprises. We rented a jetski and 2 kayaks. Everything was in really good shape and problems throughout the week. There are other places to rent. I doubt any are better and Sail and Power.

Extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff and very competitively priced. The boat we received was clean and very well equipped. Quentin made sure we were familiar with the vessel and shared local knowledge about the lake we were on. We were pleased with the personal service we received. We will use Sail and Power Boat Rental again.

Sail and Power Boat Rental are the best in that area! Rented about 9 of 10 years in the area. The one year that we rented elsewhere was a disaster. Tammy and Brad are easy to deal with, boats are super clean, Brad delivers and picks up -unbelievable on time, and it is all seamless. Never had an issue (except the year that we didnt rent from them) Tip- rent early to get the boat that you want!

Terrific rental experience. Tammy and Brad were very easy to work with, communicated well, were professional and very thorough. I grew up on a lake and still learned a thing or two from Brad when he dropped the boat off. I would definitely rent from them again and recommend them highly.

Staff were easy to work with, very detail oriented. Went over every ding/dent on the boat to make sure we knew what we were getting. All equipment was in top shape. Delivery and pickup at the boat ramp was smooth and painless.

I rented a 24 pontoon for 4 days over Labor Day weekend, and Sail & Power had the best prices that I was able to find up north. Their communication was very direct and clear, their equipment was in perfect condition, and their patience with explaining the trickier things (especially how to safely dock and tie up the pontoon) was greatly appreciated. They even provided a detailed map/depth chart of Lake Leelanau which was put to good use in finding the best sandbars to anchor on. Im looking forward to renting from Tammy and Brad again next summer!

Like many others I give this place 2 stars. Lack of details, they explain points of interests in the water way too fast, too many things to remember. Hard to navigate if u are not familiar with area. Boats are soso, opened a compartment to find a radio that didn’t work. Speakers had no covers on them.

My family recently rented a couple of WaveRunners from Sail and Power and was very pleased with their professionalism and their instructions and concern for safety. The unit ran good and we had a fantastic time in Traverse. Many thanks for the Great experience. The Clemens Family

Just called to rent a boat, the website said dog friendly boat rental. The women was very unfriendly from the beginning of the conversation. She started to tell me what dates she had available and stopped and asked what type of dog I had, which I replied a lab she then stated “you know we are really busy and I don’t want to deal with any dogs!” I then replied with but, on your website it states you are dog friendly. She just we are really busy and decided to then hang up on me!! Pretty bad when you have to beg people to take your money! So if you want to take your dog with you this place IS NOT DOG FRIENDLY! And frankly very rude on top of it!!!!!

Third time renting from Brad and Tammy - always great service, reasonably priced, boat was clean and ran perfectly. Well be back again!

Good folks. Good prices. Lots to choose from.

Terrible customer service. We rented jet skis for an hour, and they claimed that we damaged them by crashing them into each other, which never happened. In fact, they were never even close to each other while in the water during our 1hr rental. They didnt charge us for the damage they found, but they did falsely accuse us of damaging their equipment and called us liars when we told them that the jet skis never even touched. Great machines, but it was an unpleasant experience, and I dont recommend doing business with these people. If you do, be very cautious and pay close attention to their 5 second equipment inspection before using their stuff.

Second time renting Speed Boat. Rented a Sea do and a boat .Great place pleasant staff, prices are reasonable compared to the other place. D

Afterwards, you return back. They say before the shore (after you filled it full) you have to refuel again because your speed was to high

Sail and power they have some of the nices boat in the area they take extremely good care of their boats and take pride in them I have rented from them on two different ocasions this year and had two different boats, we had a pontoon and a speed boat overall the best in traverse city.

Terrible customer service, poorly maintained and unsafe equipment and major disrespect towards customers and arrogant, treated me like i was an imbecile. do not do business with.

Staff is pretty lame. Clearly tired of tourists - slow (first 20 minutes of my rental time waiting on the dock), lacking courtesy, bitter. I would rather drop several hundred dollars on an outfit that actually values the exchange.
