I rent it cabin 8 in this place the view on spider lake was completely beautiful.The cabin needs deep cleaning and maintenance the inside was not clean to stay in, spider web on all windows, pillows and covers had bad smells, the balcony door lock was broken and wont lock so they put a wood stick to keep it locked!The stove was not fully functional and one of the shelves inside the fridge was broken...And most important the cabin owner Angella and the property manager Josh was very very rude.I do not recommend this cabin due to low maintenance and cleaning problems they also need to work on learning to deal politely and professionally with the clients!

We had a great week staying in cabin #4. The cabin was clean and was perfect for our week away. This cabin has a great view of the lake from the deck and the kitchen had everything we needed.

Amazing week with the family. Will definitely be back again.

We stayed in Cabin 3, there were 4 teenagers and 2 adults, we were there to sleep and everything was great. The shower is tiny but we managed. Spider lake is beautiful and we brought our boat which had a dock for us to tie up to. I would definitely stay here again and Angela was great and had our cabin ready for us a bit earlier than we thought and were very happy for that as we were in town for a wedding. There is plenty of bedding and enough dishes to get by with

I want to say that I havent visited this property and this review is based on my experience with one of the property owners, Worpell Properties LLC.My husband and I saved and planned for a northern Michigan vacation for two months with our son and daughter-in-law. After a long summer of lockdown, we were so excited to reserve a cabin through Airbnb on a small lake south of Traverse City, MI. Two days before our departure we received a cancellation notice from Airbnb followed by a message from the host, who told us that somehow the cabin had been double booked and it wasnt her fault. She was really sorry and would refund our money so that we could find another property. As I explored the details of the refund, I learned that our vacation time would be nearly over before the funds were available to us. There were certainly no other properties available on such short notice, even if we had the money. I attempted to reach Airbnb through a number of channels to no avail. I suppose they feel theyve discharged their responsibility by issuing the refund and have no further obligation to us, despite having ruined a trip we were very excited about.

Accommodations were fine. View from our cabin deck was terrific. Definitely a family place. Nice common area. Not really our kind of place. Prefer more privacy.

Love this place, love Spider Lake. Only negative is that cabins are barely cleaned prior to our week stay. Even more disappointing during COVID.

We originally booked our stay with different owners, and the property was transferred to Windjammer after all of the payments were made. Angela made the transition of ownership seamless, upholding all of the original owners’ policies (even though they are different than Windjammer’s standard policies), and she was very helpful in answering all of my questions about the stay. The cabin was in excellent condition and we had absolutely no complaints about anything. The property location is excellent, being right on a nice lake but also only 15-20 minutes from downtown Traverse City. We had an amazing time and would love to come back again next year!

Very cool place. Awesome cabin that we stayed in. The owners are really down to earth wonderful people. Beautiful lake and great fishing. Stayed there with some buddies for a fishing trip and want to bring my family back for a vacation. Highly recommend this place.

We stayed in Cabin 3 which was the worst cabin of all of them it smelled, the floors all go downhill, dishes were and coffee pot was dirty, floors discusting, shower was smaller then a camper shower and over all not what we expected. The owner was nice to us though, just not what we thought we were getting. The lake was the nice part but didn’t have a very good walkway down to it at all, it was very rough. Made the best of it though! 🙁😔 There are other cabins here that are privately owned that we got to see inside of they were really nice and up to date. Would of liked to be in one of them. 😊

In cabin 9 for the weekend which proved to an amazing weekend with the help of Mark the manager. We were up there for our daughters 21st birthday and from being very flexible with the boat rental, which you have to get out and see beautiful Spider Lake, to recommending a great pizza place to eat to then answering any needs we had within minutes we view this as one of the better places we have ever stayed.Cabin 9 was very spacious and beautiful with its own fire pit which was very cozy, to the community fire that was nice to sit by and meet and talk to people .Overall this is a place that cares about the people who stay here and wants you to leave with happy memories !

Beautiful Place!! Nine friends and I stayed in cabin 9 for the weekend and all of our expectations were blown out the water! The beautifully decorated and clean cabin was fully stocked for all of our needs! The beds were comfy and the bathrooms were very nice. The deck was beautiful with a full view of the other cabins and Spider Lake. Michelle at Windjammer was very helpful and worked to make sure the stay was wonderful. Thank you Michelle and Windjammer on the Lake!

Wow! This is the place to stay in Traverse City. Beautifully maintained gorgeous cabins, well equipped with all you need for an enjoyable stay. Perfect place to relax and recharge. Thank you Angela and Jason for a wonderful vacation stay. We will be back!

Great resort. Everything was nice and clean in the cabin and close by to everything in traverse. Would recommend this to any family looking to enjoy the outdoors in summer

Had a wonderful stay. Cabin was great, and the site was well-kept.The only thing I would suggest is lines for parking. With people bringing larger vehicles, its difficult to park in the designated spaces without worrying that someones car door might hit another vehicle.

This place was absolutely amazing, peaceful, quiet with a great view and a fantastic lake area. Thanks to Mark for looking after us, would have loved to stay a lot longer. I would recommend to anyone of all ages to visit.

Im not one to write a bad review. In fact, I was going to leave Windjammer a good review DESPITE the fact that the dishes were dirty when we got there AND there was puke on the pullout couchs sheets....So their wouldnt be any issues once we left, we made the supervisor aware while we were there. We did not want our deposit to be kept over something we did not do.We had 4 dogs along with us & we were very aware of them and made sure nothing was damaged or dirty. Our dogs are very important to us which is why we choose a dog friendly place to begin with.With that being said, I will try to make this short. Windjammer attempted to use our dogs as a way to charge us more. Stating their was pee on the walls & that it was left smelling of urine. That was NOT the case. In fact, we even went above and beyond when we cleaned before we left the cabin. We brought our own cleaning supplies in case the pups did make a mess. Essentially, they were trying to come up with any excuse to not give us our money back AND charge us more.Because of this ridiculous hassle, I would not recommend them to anyone else. We are very fair people, and with the amount of dogs coming with us, I was prepared to not get our security deposit back because something COULD happen. However I left saying, awesome. We’ll get it back, the cabin looks awesome after we left.. I do not appreciate their low attempt to steal from us. Not okay. Bogus management.
