Plenty of room both upstairs and on the main floor. If the main floor is busy, the upstairs workout floor is almost always empty and plenty of room to workout. Plenty of cardio machines, and it’s nice having a full free weight set on the upper level too.Decent sized sauna, never really had an issue finding a spot to sit, even when it’s busy.If you’re looking for a simple clean, spacious gym to workout at, this is the spot.

Ive been a member of this gym for a while and just recently started coming back as COVID restrictions have lifted. I love this gym and dont want to have to get a membership for another one, but the cleanliness of this gym has tanked since I last was here. The floors need vacuuming, the toilets need scrubbed, and I just saw a bug crawl out from under the leg extension machine? Ive been back a few weeks hoping for improvement but so far there has been none. I love(d) this gym and am just very disappointed with how little they are actually cleaning this place.

Good place to work out, affordable, close to my work, and there is a movie room for warm ups. Unfortunately there are a few pieces of equipment that have been in need of repair for a few months now.

The music is not overly loud and they play decent t music. It would be nice though if they would keep the machines repaired

*Update as of 8/31* Corporate never reached out to rectify this and the gym has had TWO more revolving staff members.Started the membership and then started additional personal training. I was a member from March-June of 2021. Huge mistake.No one really cleaned the machines (staff or guests) and the women’s bathroom was a bit dirty and smells bad.Staff did not enforce the mask mandate.There weren’t very many cleaning stations or hand sanitizers throughout.Weights are not put back in their right place and left randomly around by guests around the club.On a few occasions Sarah, the personal training manager, would text me less than 2 hours before our training season to reschedule or push back time.Trainers will text your personal number at weird hours and not utilize the gym’s app to communicate.When I started the personal training, which was $49 a month with a 12 month contract, it started out okay and worked with a few different trainers. As time went on, people got fired or went on vacation. I was then either stuck with the manager of the personal training, Sarah), or a brand new “personal trainer”. The manager has bad personal hygiene and gossips about the workplace and also her personal dating life. The new trainer lasted a week and then got fired (I can say fired because the manager, Sarah, told us).The last straw……The next trainer was two weeks in and did a session with me because Sarah “had someone else to train”, which I didn’t know was going to happen until I arrived. This girl read our work out routine from a ripped piece of notebook paper and told us she wasn’t certified to be training, but she’s “assisting” Sarah.In June, I was just fed up and asked for my personal training contract to be cancelled. I talked to Sarah and she empathized with me but then said it’s a contract and I’d have to buy my half year out. I told her I’m not doing that because they can’t keep a steady staff and the quality of training is not there.She talked to her direct manager and he said the same thing.I called corporate twice, they wouldn’t void the contract and suggested I go to the other gym 30 mins away or train with Sarah until they get new staff.I emailed corporate and even sent photos of conversations of the staff’s unprofessionalism.Manager from the gym called and left a message to follow up, I called back and left a message. Never heard from him again.My contract was never canceled so I had to change my bank info. 🤷🏼‍♀️🙄Overall, DO NOT GET INTO A CONTRACT WITH THIS GYM! They need to start cleaning more and change their entire staff. DO BETTER!

Such a night and day difference from the gym I use to go to. The place is really clean, the staff actually want to help you and the other members don’t stare you down like they want to kill your unborn child. I drive past 4 gyms to get to this one. Amazing facility.

This gym is the best use of your money in a membership. Their cost is actually closer to that of planet fitness but you get way more out of your membership. Tons of machines and weights to use. They have a pool and a basketball court. Their locker rooms are very nice. Their staff is top notch!

The manager Chris needs more training on how to manage employees. Very unprofessional. You do not tell your employees that if they sell 25 memberships they can have off for spring break, and when they hit the goal YOU set, you tell them after plane ticket was bought that they cant go? You give goals and promise a reward for hitting goals and dont keep your word? Im in management myself. I would NEVER set goals with a promise I couldnt keep. You are not at all setting a good or professional example to your co workers.

Over priced monthly membership, an annual fee that they say you only pay once your first time signing up but you actually pay it every year. You would think being a multi billion dollar company they’re steam room would work but I guarantee it’s broken down more through out the year than it actually working

Theyre way too expensive for not enough equipment and trying to cancel with them cost just as much as another month of service which you have no option of paying quite ridiculous.

Would not recommend this gym to anybody. Poor customer service, never very clean, and they will do whatever they can to get more money out of you. As a multi-billion dollar company, I would think they could do better than this.

Its great seeing some fresh faces across all the departments here! The new janitorial team genuinely cares and has been doing a great job at keeping the gym clean for members! Its also easier than ever to handle issues thanks to the fantastic new operations manager they have! The sales staff is always polite and the personal trainers offer help and free training sessions to all the members!

Zumba was amazing

Hard to find anything to clean before you want to workout... restrooms kinda nasty, toilets dirty.

They have a lot of nice equipment, but its by far the filthiest gym Ive ever seen. The cardio equipment looks like its never been cleaned and Ive been to dive bars that have cleaner bathrooms then they do. Their soap in the mens bathroom has been out for 2 days and hasnt been stocked. Trash is everywhere in the locker rooms

The Toledo LA fitness is my favorite gym to go to, out of all the gyms I’ve tried in the last couple of years this place has by far the most friendly and helpful staff I’ve ever met and all the amenities included in your membership is great. I feel way more comfortable working out here than anywhere else. 12/10 would recommend

Update: the manager called and reassured me i was not going to be double charged. After this attentiveness, if i were to need to rejoin i would definitely consider it. :)Wonderful gym dont get me wrong, and I normally dont complain but I paid the first and last month upfront when I joined. I decided the drive was a little far so I went in to cancel. The billing cycle was 3 days away. The lady told me I was still going to get charged for the next month, and when I asked about the month I paid upfront she just repeated that I would still be charged for the extra month even though I was canceling before the billing date and I would not be refunded.Again the gym was nice, but extreamly disappointed with how they handled this.

I love the group classes. I go to the Holland Sylvania Toledo location. I do some spin, boot camp, and abs. The instructors are all good -some better than others, but thats my subjective opinion. THANKS LA Fitness for the great workout experiences!

This gym has everything and more! I enjoy the ladies only and the movie room. The people are very friendly and welcoming. My favorite part is how clean the facility is. I highly recommend!

I love this place. Everyone there is very nice and even though it gets packed sometimes you still get a private workout. Everyone shares. I love that it has a movie room to workout in. I also like that all the employees are really friendly.

Have been OVERPAYING for my membership, being charged for features I never use. Upon addressing it with staff, I was given 4 literal different responses ranging from “you have to cancel your membership for 6 months” to “I can totally take care of it”. After being assured it would be ‘fixed’, I received no follow up and was still being overcharged. I called back and spoke to the “general manager”, who told me there was nothing he could do and that I could “cancel my membership”. Stay away from this gym, they literally could care less about their members.

LA Fitness helped my Mom tremendously. She’s new to working out and has had a great experience.

They have everything I need for the 5x5 program Im doing.You just have to know when to go to be able to utilize the equipment youd prefer to use.I am not offering 5 stars because my wife and I were not informed the Kids Club fee would increase by $5 per child if you do not include it at the initial point of sale. We were also put on separate accounts which is also more expensive.l due to the initiation fee.Without those unfortunate occurrences I would not hesitate to offer a better rating.

Pretty decent equipment, nice and spacious but its so filthy and nasty. Trash is always overflowing and the times I have seen staff cleaning up most and in the mens locker room sitting down texting.The staff are behind the main desk eating McDonalds or Wendys texting they hardly look up to speak when you come in

I have been a member going on 4 years now. The facilities are always clean. 95% of the members are there to workout and 5% there to try and impress others. No waiting for equipment. I purchased a membership that allows me to use any LA Fitness which for me who put 53,000 miles on my company car last year using other locations has been a must. I really appreciate the late hours. I dont like working out early in the morning.

This is the most unethical business I have ever had the displeasure of working with. Lets start with the quality of the gym. Im a swimmer, and the pool and the area surrounding it are filthy. I was a member for about three months, and the same dirty band-aid was on the floor of the pool area for that entire time. This is just some of the debris in the area.My major issue is with the staff. The people who work in the front are some of the rudest people I have ever met. I would agree them when I came in and left, and the people barely glanced at me. One girl was on her phone constantly.The real issue is worth the personal training packages. I needed to cancel mine because I lost my job. I knew that I signed a contract and was responsible for the fees, so Im not upset about that. Im upset that there was no effort made to help me downgrade to a cheaper monthly package (that was impossible, apparently). When I said I would need to cancel and pay the early cancellation fee, I was told that I just needed to mail in the form that came with my contract and that the corporate office would bill me for the amount owed. They didnt. They continued to deduct money from my checking account. It took me over a month (and lots of bank fees) to get this taken care of.Nearly everyone, from the people at the front desk to the corporate folks I spoke with, were rude, incompetent and unprofessionalu0010.

Best club around. All the new staff is great especially the sales staff. Also love the juicebar. Best smoothies and shakes in town. Tropical smoothie has nothing on fuel juicebar. Love this place.

When you walk in you usually walk into the “trainers” on their phone and or with their legs kicked up in their desks. Staff is not very friendly, hardly ever get said hi to or anything and it’s just dirty. Wasn’t toilet paper in a stall and sanitary napkins were over flowing for 2 days on a row disgusting

It would be good idea to have someone at the gym to open up before 5 am since 5 am is the posted opening time. Trying to get a work out in before work and the big reason I joined was for the early opening. Its about 5:10 and the place is dark. Not the first time since I started here. This is frustrating

Overall pretty nice, wide range of people here. Gets really busy after 5ish but its not terrible the girl up front usually checks us in pretty fast. It was in bad shape a couple weeks ago but I saw new janitors there so its way better than it used to be clean wise.

Workout area is good but many members sit on machines until completing texting !! people are used to go to sauna / steam wearing their shoes and clothes !! the pool has a daily mess between 8 - 10pm, a group of teenagers between 13 - 15 years old !! unattended are messing out with everything in the area including the swimming boards, balls, safety equipment etc. they throw everything on each other, shout and jump in the pool with their nasty cloths. Never have seen any of the staff checking on the pool area to make sure its OK. I think the health department will be very interested to hear this !!

This place isn’t clean and all the machines are broken and as a matter fact many of the machines that were broken were taken away and never replaced .

Nice facility. I just worked out today but I feel they need more 45 pound weights if there was more people in there working out it would definitely not be enough weights there was constant pulling weights off one machine and using on another. If there wouldve been over 20 people working out it wouldve been a lot of standing around just waiting to grab weights. A little smaller and tighter fit facility then other LA Ive been to, not as much floor space around machines. I also like full wall mirrors then gaps and windows. Still a completely functional faculty, just my opinions and preferences.

I had a billing issue with the previous manager scamming me. The new operations manager was able to comp me and set it up so that i could get on a lower plan without having to pay the new fees. He made it work for me and i appreciate that very much

Called to check on membership prices for my family of 5. I called the Toledo, Ohio Holland and Sylvania location got hung up on twice. I still called back got a guy I think his name was Dan(I would like management to see who they had working the desk at 530pm on 10/15) I proceeded to tell him that getting hung up on twice was not a great way to get my business, thinking he would be nicer he went silent. I stated i was interested in a membership his response was ....ok yeah what about it i told him with that type of rudeness Ill take my family to another gym. NO Thanks

Good location, staff is friendly and takes care of whatever you bring to their attention when they can, not always right away but it gets taken care of. Takes a long time for equipment to get fixed though it seems like but it might just take a while for parts and stuff.

During my eight months of membership, Ive enjoyed the variety of machines and free weights, the cardio theater, and indoor track. The members are serious about their workouts but helpful when I need assistance. I dont often need help, but when I do, the exercise areas are not staffed.

I love it, its a wonderful place to workout as in weights, running, swimming and playing basketball you cant beat it LA FITNESS is the best workout place ever

Really dirty, the mens locker room is disgusting, not to mention most of the cardio equipment doesnt work most days. Ive been a member here for awhile but when you start seeing gum stuck to the shower wall for 4 weeks without being cleared off and cleaned. It makes you wonder why you are paying probably the highest in town to workout here.. Its sad, this use to be a great place to workout. Probably the nastiest LA fitness Ive ever walked into.

Great place to workout,but many of the machines,especially the cardio,are in dire condition and need maintenance but only one person is assigned to this task and cannot keep up with the demand,therefore,lots of service is badly needed at both local locations.

Great facilities... Since the remodel they have brought in a new member of the maintenance staff. She is awesome. Keeps the place immaculate at night.

Ive never been to a gym where the vast majority of lifters were to weak to put away their weights.Anyways, the place is pretty filthy and the customer service its hit or miss. Sometimes youll get a friendly hello, other times youll get a girl face timing and no acknowledgement of your existence.

Dirty and most the staff hates everyone. Soap always out and youll pretty much always find some machine broken. The basketball court brings trash in--you gotta lock your stuff up or keep it with you always. And finally, here Im sitting at open with no one here still 30 mins after. For over 30-60 bucks a month you think they could at least show up on time. Probably will be trying my works gym or planet fitness for the new year.

Overcrowded even though I went at the time that had the least popularity. I forgot my tag at home and I asked the person at the front desk to look me up. He was very rude about it. I love la fitness but Im not going to this one again.

This is the first gym that I have actually stuck with. Pool, sauna, steamroom (mens only), now a juice bar! This place is awesome. Down 30lbs with their help!

I was charged an annual fee of $52 that was never explained in the sign up process. Candidness and transparency is vital to loyalty and unfortunately they do not value this.

If you like overpriced gym memberships, that cannot be upgraded without paying cancellation and initiation fees (again) then you might like it. If you like your favorite machines being broken for months on end then youll love this gym.

I have been a member of this club for over 2 years now. When I joined I was given a tour of what was available to me as a member and based on what I saw, the equipment available, etc. I decided to join.About a year ago the club did a remodel and created this new work out area that was part of the remodel. It was promised to the members when the remodel was announced and equipment that used to be on the main floor was moved to this area, but still accessible to members and a nice improvement.Fast forward 1 year later. I walk into the gym to do my workout and find the entire new (and promised) workout area that I and many, many other members used heavily was suddenly blocked off and now off limits to PAYING members unless they signed up for personal training services and paid an extra fee!So basically equipment we are paying for and had access to until a week ago and a new workout area we were promised when they did the remodel have been taken away from PAYING members with no notice!The equipment in this area is NOT available anywhere else in the club and myself as well as many others built our workouts around access and use of that equipment. Now it is off limits unless you pay for personal training!In a best case scenario this is unethical and a very poor business decision. At worse it is a type of bait and switch we were induced to enter into a contract and join the club based on what we would have access to and the club unilaterally with no warning suddenly takes it away after you join and enter into a contract. My attorney said this is a type of fraud, but I think no matter what you call it, is irrelevant. It is just wrong!Ask yourself, do you really want to join a club that can and does change the terms of the agreement for the worse whenever they feel like it? Now I have to wonder if they will simply take away more equipment and areas to train in later with no notice.The club isnt improving and ADDING stuff for members, rather is seems to be on a constant path of TAKING away equipment and benefits you used to have and replacing it with NOTHING while continuing to charge you the same fees and being totally unapologetic about it.I would think very carefully before joining if this is the type of business you want to be associated with and supporting with your money. As soon as I can find a new suitable place to work out I am terminating my membership. I wont continue to do business with such an unethical company!

Gym is supposed to be open at 5AM. My husband has to be at work early in the morning, and the amount of money we are paying these people and their continuing failure is upsetting. Mens steam room always broke, womens sauna light never working, takes forever for womens sauna to heat up. Place is going down.

A very big and spacious gym you can get to one machine to another with no problem especially having 2 floors of training equipment and having a steam room and sauna in the mens locker room is a bonus

Ok gym but the staff doesnt seem to have much pride in the place. Usually plates are all over and while its the members job to clean up after themselves, I think the staff should be helping also and having a floor presence. They just seem to congragate at the cubicles and not get out on the floor.
