The compressor was out in my AC unit. They replaced it and it works great for me. I am really impressed by the neatness of the professionals that came to my home and worked on my AC unit. They worked hard on task and made sure not to leave any mess behind. the scheduling was professional and I was kept updated on the on the job at hand with text and professional phone calls. I truly feel like part of the family and was not over charged for the work performed. I am EXTREMELY Happy with my service.

I was very pleased with their punctuality, professionalism and courtesy. They didnt try for the high pressure sale or dirty tactics, the were just straight and to the point. And best of all...they are a local company, not part of a big chain, which is a huge plus. I will definitely be using them again when needed.

At first the guy came out and it seemed great. They told us 2 days to get the parts and to get it fixed. Then we get a call it’s going to be a week. Well it’s 80 inside and it’s been 2 weeks later and they won’t just drive to indy to get the part for a paying customer. It’s been fixed now. Almost a month after the the first time coming out. They tried there best with an older unit so I’m happy it’s finally fixed.

We havent had AC since May and had 2 technicians out to fix the problem but none of them could diagnose the reason. Finally George came out and within 2 weeks was able to diagnose the problem, get the part and fix our AC unit. He was very professional and knew what he was doing. We finally have Air after 4 months of waiting. Thank you George and the Medcalf Heating and Cooling. We really appreciate it! We will definitely do business with them again.

This place was great the first time we used them. When we came back from vacation, our air wasn’t working, so we called and they told us that we would have to pay an emergency fee, since it was on the weekend. We paid the 150 dollar fee for the tech to come out and not even hook up any test equipment, remove four screws and then put them back in and tell me that my compressor was bad. So they talked to my home warranty company, about 4 days later, my warranty company sent them my new system, and then I called to see when they would be installing it, and they told me “oh, we are scheduled out 2 and a half weeks.” I asked them why I had to pay an emergency fee, if it clearly won’t be treated as an emergency, and they just asked if I wanted them to schedule the appointment or not. All of this while my kid has asthma and it was 90 degrees in the house. They just didn’t seem to care at all.

Brandon came out within 24 hours of being called explained everything that need to happen and the prices along the way. Was very polite understanding and friendly. I would recommend this company over any other. Thanks guys..

11:30 on a Friday night and my A/C goes out.. my house was 80+ degrees so I started looking up numbers and this company popped up 1st with the highest reviews so I gave them a call & I’m glad I did! Brandon came out and fixed everything for me, was knowledgeable and was the best service tech I’ve ever dealt with honestly. 10/10 recommend. My air has never felt better.

Try as I may,I can not give this company more than a poor rating. They are trying to train new people at costumer expense. We are now at 2+ months with out our air conditioning.Granted not the problem is theres but after 43 years in sales I would not got by with this service.Marrill Getche

Were very impressed with this company, had an issue on the day of install with financing but they were able to work us through it and we got our new heat pump installed that day, mind you this day was one of the hottest of the year but our crew stayed and sweated it through the day with no complaints and were very polite and professional.

Medcalfs scheduled me for the 18th of August installation of a tankless water heater, writes a bid for it, and dont show up? Though Ive tried to contact him through their website, their phones or emails with USDAs help they didnt made no response and failed to show up for their scheduled appointment with no apology for their error . . . He will give you his cell phone number but never responds to it. He first quoted me $2500 and under for my project yet then turned around and jacked it up by grabbing gas companies $250 rebate and also tried to get my $100 rebate from Menards by forcing me to buy a $13 service agreement to get it under $2500. Also, he asked me to do free advertising for him in my yard which at first I agreed to; although I started to understand he really didnt want to do it for the price that was the amount of my USDA grant that he said he would when at my house. Directly asked him this question before he left my house he says he could and then I went on to go to a Beverly plumbing which agreed to do it at the price I was seeking and they of course fell through also . . . So I didnt find him to be very truthful or honest with customers and would make up anything instead of following what he agreed to do? Plumbers are very limited and only wish they would follow their agreements so we dont waste much time trying to get something accomplished that works with important health and safety concerns too! The young men did a wonderful job. Replaced leaked freon which has leaked at least 5-6 times. Hopefully they will be able find leak and repair it or replace unit.

Every person that I spoke with at Medcalf mechanical more very nice people! They were very patient and they made sure I understood everything it was going to happen and they did not rush me. My experience began with my very first call to report the problem I was having and every call oh, I was very satisfied with and when George S came out he was a very nice young man explained everything to me to make sure I knew just exactly what was happening. If any of my friends have any problems with any of their systems needing repaired or checked I will definitely mention Medcalf mechanical, and tell them those are the people they should contact.

We experienced cooling of the radiant heat in our geothermal unit. Because it was on identified until the service technician was on site.He identified not only the problem but how to work around the problem in the short term until he could get a replacement part. Are radiant heat was returned to normalAnd the final replacement of the broken part took place without any additional problems.I am very satisfied with both the service and professionalism of this group

Update 03 Mar 2021: we had our new furnace installed today. The employees that showed up were fantastic just as last time. They got the new system in and the old out and all went as planned. They had fantastic communication skills and went above and beyond, yet again. Seriously could not recommend this company any more!What a great place to stumble upon!Furnace went out on a Friday evening...surprise!George came and got us running, if only a bandaid to a bigger problem. He took a video and explained everything to us in people terms so we understand what the issue is and why we need it repaired.Would gladly recommend them to anyone, and will definitely call when needed again!

They were quick to show up on a Friday night after hours and diagnose the problem. Antonio was professional and trust worthy. Coming back to finish the repairs tomorrow.

Charged 150 dollars for a part that may have not needed to be replaced ac did still not work they left and said they would need to send out a new crew we must have some kind of block in duct work called a nother company they fixed ac in 1 hour unit was low on Freon they are ethier incompetent or scammers not a good way to run a business

Furnace wasnt properly sealed when furnace was put in 12/11/2020. My air kept kicking on today until I went down and sealed. I forgot to tell Kevin I had FOUND it in past, forgot ABOUT with stress of Life during COVID. He was in hurry previous visit, I suggest feeling around areas that should be sealed after installation.

George came out the night before thanksgiving to try why my auxiliary heat was nonstop running. After doing a temporary fix, I had George back out Friday to figure what was the big problem. He was able to figure it out and made it temporarily to have some heat on these cold nights. I only mention this because this weekend was a holiday weekend and George had visitation that weekend with his daughter. George did pinpoint the problems and with replacement parts the problem is hopefully fixed. Thank you George going the extra yard to make sure you fix it and not just replace parts. I should say the parts he replaced, I was able to see they burned up.

Appreciate finding Medcalf Mechanical and Steven to not only repair the recently installed Coleman furnace & Arcoaire compressor (miss-installed by another HVAC vendor 6/14/2019); but also to immediately diagnosis the problem & recommend the permanent solution as well as a temporary solution for a few days so I could have heat during our recent arctic winter clipper blast we had in mid- November.Steven and Bill returned in just a few days with needed materials to install new exhaust venting properly. My trust level in Medcalf Mechanical was also reinforced in seeing Bill as Stevens partner. Bill had provided excellent work for me during the past year on other needed repairs on my new home. In summary, I have already contracted to have Medcalf Mechanical and Steven & Bill back this coming holiday week to install a new humidifier for the entire home.

We purchased this small home last fall thinking that the real estate inspector would uncover any glaring problems that as a buyer should have been made aware of. This past week of hot weather the AC was just not keeping up. We called Metcalf Mechanical to make a service call to see if they could resolve the AC. They sent me a detailed things that had to be done. First thing the AC had been installed wrong and a new part had to be ordered. When they inspected the duct work in attic, that too was installed incorrectly and had been stepped on and a lot of places had been actually smashed in. The people at Metcalf assessed everything that had to be repaired. I OK’d the repair work. The team came in and in 2 days they had everything installed up to code. I was amazed at how knowledgeable they were about the HVAC system. Before they left they had everything cleaned up and no mess I would recommend Metcalf for any kind of heating/cooling problems you would encounter. The AC in our house now cools so even and runs very quiet. Thank you all for a great job and the office staff was also very polite and willing to help.
