I love the vibe at the gym. I feel comfortable getting out of my comfort zone. The app is really useful when it comes to the equipment, the demonstrations have been a life saver.

This place is average and fine. The staff don’t acknowledge you at all or anything but who cares? Just be weary when you cancel you have to physically go down there and beg. Even if it’s past the 12 months. They offer no online or convenient option. I guess my fault for not reading every word of the deal. I’d love to find a non shady gym.

I finally got my body back to the gym! Was very pleased with how clean the facility is and noted Planet Representatives moving around the gym cleaning. Of course, I try to avoid busy prime time hours of the gym due to Covid. Im retired and enjoy exercising without a mask during the off peak hours of the gym. My favorite hours to go are after lunch until 4pm.

Liars, and theives, canceled my membership over a year ago, they charged me 2 months and almost $40.00, they said they waived they 63.00 canceling fee, but refused to give my money back, plus they overdrafted my account and notgetting any of that back either 😠😡🤬

The machines were really easy to use. There was a personal trainer there that helped me. The front desk people were very helpful also and I bought a lock that was sold conveniently there

The manager at this location, Michael did an outstanding job positively resolving the issues had at the Tempe West location. The manager, Lexus from the Tempe West location was present during this time at this location, intentionally and maliciously ignored and did not address issues. She did not resolve anything. Michael did. I recommend that you go to Tempe East and do not go to Tempe West.

Staff is very unprofessional it would be nice to be acknowledged at check in even a simple “HI” would be nice. Staff is to busy discussing there weekend plans to even look your way. Men’s bathroom is always a mess it was a mistake joining canceling soon and going back to EOS.

Staff is friendly and the Tempe McClintock location has plenty room. I do wish they would have kept the mask mandate a little longer. Not only are they not wearing masks but not wiping down the equipment. Other than that, love it.

Just started back. Manager Andrew of the Thomas location in Phoenix worked with me to get my past due balance paid which was awesome. This Location is closer to me. People are nice and its very clean. Covid restrictions in place with sanitizer and cleaning products readily available. Cant wait to go back😁

Very happy with the range of machines and workout areas. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. This is one of the best kept gyms I have been to. Staff is constantly cleaning and everyone is good at cleaning machines when they are done. People seem to mind thier own and no judgement at all. Very happy with my choice to join.

While I use several Planet Fitness locations in the east valley, this one is where I spend most of my time. They have lots of equipment, it’s always clean, and the staff is super friendly. I usually met a friend here, and we can almost always find 2 treadmills next to each other with no wait or just a short wait. I love Planet Fitness, and this location is fantastic. Give them a try!

Clean and the gym rules are nice.Only thing I can say is a negative is that they have cnn and fox on most of the tv’s. Would prefer a variety of channels if possible

Its a nice gym. I signed up for the black card before knowing that Smith machines are dangerous so im not a fan and now im locked in for a year. Hate that they dont have a 30 day trial period. I have to find substitute workouts for squats and deadlifts.Other than that the gym is clean and well mixed crowd so no pressure to look a certain way or perform with massive weights.

Staff is 50/50. Half the time I walk in nobody is at the counter to scan my card, answer the phone, anything. When they do stroll over they seem more concerned with how they look rather than doing any actual work... The other half, staff if great. They greet you and say goodbye and seem to actually care about their customers. One guy in particular is always on his game.

I called in today because I recently cancelled my membership. Mostly because I am not quite yet comfortable with coming in yet. But I inquired about the annual fee as I didnt feel it was necessary to pay for an annual fee for a year I would not be using the gym. The rep that answered the phone advised me unfortunately they cannot because they had a cutoff date for the cancellation requests to not be charged fees. I must have missed the email (my fault) but I wanted to leave a review because I am guessing they will be getting a lot of these types of calls and they probably dont end like mine did. I understand I made the mistake and I will accept that. Not to mention I fully plan to come back to the gym once things get back to some sort of normal. I wanted to say that I will gladly accept my mistake and look at it as a donation to the gym for the extra hard work they are doing to keep others safe. Thanks for the hard work and I look forward to rejoining your gym hopefully again soon!!!

Planet Fitness helped me lose about 100 lbs a couple of years ago, from about 290 to 190, and Ive maintained that lower weight over the past year. PF calls itself a Judgement Free Zone for good reason -- its a great place for people who are new to working out, or who havent worked out in years.

I love the gym! its pretty clean and decent for me. im just getting back into a workout routine and im pretty confident about this new journey all over again. everything is labeled clearly and they have stations that have certain body parts. all the machines are coordinated perfectly like cardio is cardio, arms are in one area, legs, thighs and glutes in another. but anywho im bout to go work out ! lol

After having my membership for well over a year and not utilizing it, I decided to come in to the gym and cancel my membership. But the type of greeting and the personality I was met with at the front counter was amazing! Kendras kind spirit and enthusiasm made it a lot easier to decide to stay! She has always shown so much interest in everybodys experience at the gym, which is not usually the type of passionate personality you see working at the gym. Thank you Kendra for making my experience and my friends experience that much more personable!

The gym is small and poorly equipped. Approxi 50% of the staff working here behave arrogant and rude

Definitely one of the better PF locations I’ve visited. Staff is friendly and available more often than not, the gym itself is very clean and well maintained. Great place to get in a good workout in a relatively quiet and peaceful environment, the people largely mind their own business and I haven’t ever seen the ‘lunk alarm’ being used. My only pet peeve is people often don’t re-rack weights, kind of annoying. The best time to go is later at night when the place is not crowded, I can give this place 5 stars during non-peak hours!

I love how clean and nice the staff are. They respect everyone that come in and understands. I love my trainer, William. He motivates you and helps you get up to the next level. He doesnt give up on you and hes very respectful.

Planet fitness is great. I visit different locations around the valley but what makes this location awesome is the staff. My star player here is Serena! She is welcoming and helpful. Anytime I go in to workout she is there with a smile and is always willing to help. If your looking to join planet fitness at this location ask for Serena she will answer all your questions and make you feel like family. Theres this black girl who works there who is always rude ro everyone. She is condescending and unfriendly. Please encourage her to be friendlier to the customers so they feel more comfortable

The East Tempe Planet Fitness is an excellent gym!! The management is serious about cleanliness! I go there almost every night, and the night Manager (Faye), and her team, are always hard at work keeping the gym squeeky clean, and keeping all the hand sanitizer dispensers and disinfectant spray bottles full! The only complaint I have is that I have witnessed several clients not cleaning thier machine after using it. With the current situation, I think management needs to emphasize this, by writing something on a whiteboard or putting up signs, and being on the lookout for violaters.

Friendly staff...always available to assist. All new cardio equipment to boot! Great location with easy parking. Nice makeover...very well maintained and clean. Highly recommended.

I love this gym :-) I put so many before. This facility is always clean. I go in pretty late at night and theres a lady that seem to Angel that works there. She is simply amazing. Such a nice lady. In the past at other locations Ive encountered people being rude probably from being tired. But nope not her she was great ray of sunshine when I was having a bad day. Thank you Angel so much and thank you to the whole team at the Tempe Planet Fitness.

Just started going to this location about a month ago. The staff is very friendly. I am hoping to get some personal training help as they have a good selection of training times. Always easy to find the exercise bike I like using. I would recommend this location to anyone wanting a good place to work out.

Cleanliness is falling apart. Mens locker room hasnt been cleaned in a few weeks. The people that work there are nice and friendly, but cleanliness is key especially when weat is involved and people that have asthma can be affected by the dust. Until this gym starts shaping up Im going to the other ones thanks to my black card membership.

I have been going to this gym for over a year, and I absolutely love the staff. They really personalize their relationships with everyone by addressing members by their first names, which I love! The staff is very friendly and approachable. I used to go to LA Fitness and hated the fact they were all about the upsell. Planet Fitness is a great place for people to workout without feeling like they are being judged.

Great gym.. I work out 6 days a week... All the equipment is in good condition.. There are a couple of machines I wish they had.. but other than that.. it is great.. I also like the fact that it is open 24 hours. I usually go about 3:30 - 4:00 am... so I am not waiting for it to open up.. Also the price of membership is only $10 or $20 depending on which card you get. I would recommend to give a try... you will like it...

My wife and I enjoy the convenience of a fitness club open 24 hours and it is close to our house. There is a wide variety of equipment and weights to use. We enjoy watching the news on the big TV screens while we use the treadmill and arc trainers. Our only complaint is that frequently one of more channels are not working or do not have sound.

I have been coming to this gym for a few months now, so I thought I would leave a well deserved positive review with some of my experience going.Getting in better shape is something that I have been meaning to do for a long time.(as Im sure a lot of people are meaning to as well) Im not the most self-confident person in the world by a long shot, I usually avoid being around a larger number of people. The biggest reason I would struggle in the past is because I just always have had a large amount of anxiety about going to the gym and doing a routine around other people since it makes me uncomfortable. I had a friend move in with me from Minnesota who encouraged me to start going, and so we finally went and signed up.The fears I had about going and being around other people quickly dissipated; the atmosphere made me feel comfortable, and the staff have always been extremely kind and friendly. After a while of coming, me and my friend always use that Total Body thing. Quite a lot, the staff usually already prepare it for us because we do it every time we come in, which I think has always been really awesome and amazing of them to do that. If I do have a bad day, or Im not really feeling the best, going to this gym brightens my mood and helps out a lot, I actually feel comfortable going there and doing my routine. I have never had any trouble, and the place is kept clean very well.About 15 weeks of going now, a lot of my effort there has been really starting to pay off and show; Ive shed off more than 30 pounds of bodyfat, and more than 4 inches on the waist;So I just would really like to just say, thank you guys.Thank you guys for keeping my spirits up to keep going. Whoever manages this gym is just extremely incredible, and all of the staff are wonderful.This gym has changed my life for the better, and I look forward to going back even later today after work, and many more after. You guys are the best.

First visit to this location. Most of the same equipment as usual, but missing some of the ab workout stuff that most planet fitness gyms I’ve been to had. Very clean. Very friendly staff. Not overcrowded. Very good workout. Definitely recommend this gym.

Dumbbells up to 65lbs only, no basic flat bench press with heavy weights. Lots of cardio and similar machines.Bottom line- good for beginners, clean, beautiful, helpful staff,big place, but if you lift, bro you gotta find another place.No intimidation zone loosyl mean no heavy weights!Finally that color theme they have(blueish red/ indigo/something like that) was depressing, may b its just me.

Good place to do your own thing. Staff are nice but don’t seem informed of tanning/Red light bed information. Had to teach my friend how to work it myself because they guy was clueless. All and all I love going there 👍🏻

I like this planet fitness its clean, its friendly, its reasonably priced, its open 24/7. I dont usually use the black card amenities except for water and to get my wife in with me. The weights in the machines are good enough for my workout. My only gripe is that they dont check people leaving locks on lockers close enough. I used to tall lockers because I have to change for work and shower. It got so that there were locks on all the tall lockers no matter what time you came in no matter what day and they were the same locks on the same lockers. I talked to management about it. usually the manager isnt in. And they usually dont do anything. Once in awhile after theyve been on there for three or four months they will take all the locks off, but two weeks later theyre back on.

It is what it is: a cheap gym. I used to go to Golds, which had a very different... audience. Not to say that this vibe is worse -- I love the body positivity atmosphere that they push so hard for. That being said, I never want to go into a gym that is giving out pre/post-workout candy. They also have pizza and cookie days?? Excuse me?? Im trying to build personal discipline here and I feel like theyre very anti-discipline. On that note, the staff really sucks and the equipment is old and terrible. They usually have like 4-5 people at the front all chatting or hanging out on their phones, and Im only greeted half the time and have to check myself in the other half. The equipment seems to break all the time and takes forever to be repaired. One of their five stair-stepper machines was broken for weeks and when I tried using it, it was still broken. I notified the staff over three weeks ago that it still wasnt working -- all theyve done in that time is to put a broken sign on it. Thats it! On a high note, its very clean and their body positivity element does get across. If Im looking like a mess or feeling stupid on a machine, I never feel like Im being judged. Overall great gym for beginners, but discipline is obviously not a priority.

Some employees look at you and judge you if your willing to give 100% and sweat or breathe hard. (Probably because they look like they dont use their own gym equipment) Otherwise its alright but the slogan about a judgement free zone is totally not the case. Its super cheap and close to my house though. Those are the real/actual selling points. If you have money or a closer place, hands down go there instead.
