Thanks for sabotaging the Nyack High School Boys Swim team practices! Exactly what these adolescents needed, was to start their swim season, be informed during the first week that the pool is not ready for them to practice in, and then find out a week after their season started, that the building has been sold! Extremely unprofessional and unethical business practices.

I applied to work at this Y roughly 13 years ago when I was desperate for a job after graduating college. They suggested that I apply to a Y closer to where I live. Fast forward to present day and I work at my dream job.I’m indebted to the Tarrytown YMCA 🙇🏽‍♂️

The Y is the best and always has been. Now that they’ve redone the gym, it’s somewhere I look forward going to every evening. As someone who is as active everyday, the gym is perfect and the facilities/machines are top of the line.

Hector is too nice. But hector being too nice does NOT account for the absurd amount of ñanos and Dominicanos hogging the bench press Monday-Friday from 2-5. Smoke shop.People chocking the chicken in the bathroom as well, and the bathrooms smell like mushroom tip as a result.

The Family YMCA at Tarrytown is good place for Aquatic staff and Im a Lifeguard at the YMCA guarding swim lessons, recreation swim and lap swim. Melissa Weaver is very accommodating for aquatic staffs work and school schedule. Ryan Murray and Stephen Sciame are the best they renews Aquatic Staff Certifications in American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer. Highly recommend. They require the following for Lifeguards· Current certifications in American Red Cross Lifeguard Training, CPR/AED, First Aid· Maintain constant supervision and ensure safety of all participants during various activities (lap swim, childrens swim lessons, water fitness classes, adult and youth recreational swims)· Responsible for enforcing all pool rules in a polite, consistent manner· Responsible for the set up of the pool (placing racing lanes in or out of the pool) for different programs· Keeps pool area neat by putting all equipment away on a regular basis· Performs maintenance tasks as assigned by shift (vacuuming of pool, hosing of pool deck)· Required to test and record the pool chemicals every 4 hours· Refrains from using cell phone while on the pool deck, remains attentive at all times· Experience preferred, but not mandatoryP.S.I renew my American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer Certifications here

The gym is wonderful except whenever everyone leaves and there are only one or two us left, we get kicked out and told the gym closes at 10. The gym closes at 10:30 weeknights. I rush home from work and try to make the gym only to be kicked out early because the worker there doesnt want to work? Ridiculous. I pay 50$ monthly to use the gym because of the hours and the location; while other gyms are 10$ - 15$ weekly. Im thinking of driving a few minutes extra and going to another gym. Disappointing.

Its not bad, is not great. The pool is decent and usually not crowded, and its cute theyve got a lot of family activities. The gym area is lacking some basic equipment (like a regular exercise bike with a screen) and the sauna is on the basement floor (inconvenient).I like being able to swim and go to the gym at the same time though! (Added the swimming pool schedule since it wasnt added here already.)En conclusión, ¡me gusta! 🙂
