I had an amazing experience at Salon Norrell! Kennedy was so sweet and completely transformed my hair exactly how I wanted. The staff was also very kind and the salon is beautiful. I would 100% recommend anyone to get their hair done here!

Left holding back tears…. While my husband says my hair looks fine that’s not how you ever want to feel after getting your hair done. I asked for the picture provided and got the below. I felt my highlights were choppy looking and there was not a true ombré/balayage as pictured in the photo. It looks like basic highlights that weren’t even blended well. They did offer to fix it however I had to pay for 4 hours of childcare today for this hair appointment and now have to pay another 3-4 hours of childcare next week to come back for my fix it appointment. Super bummed. I don’t get my hair done often and it’s literally the thing I look forward to for months. Morgan was sweet but definitely did not execute what I was looking for.

I showed up to my appointment and was greeted by my stylist and the sweet lady at the desk. I felt like I was in a Super quaint salon, which I love! It’s the exact salon experience I have been looking for. Everyone seemed to be doing pretty hair and having fun! I haven’t been to a salon so my hair is as definitely needing some major attention. I didn’t feel judged, as a matter of fact, she seemed excited to work with me. Needless to say, I can’t wait to be back and already scheduled for my next salon visit in 8 weeks! THANK YOU AVEDA.

Incredible work. Other salons could not do what I needed--and told me so. This salon completely exceeded my expectations. Maggie is expertly skilled, super attentive, caring, detail-oriented, enthusiastic, and gave me great hair. And Im a difficult case. It took 2 consultations before the work because I needed special orders and coloring that other salons said were impossible. And it was perfect. Dont settle for less.

Daniel was so amazing and wonderful with his rituals and haircare! I’m saying care because he really takes care and love into what he does. I was turning 21 and I asked him to just do what he thought would be best and I almost cried when I saw it! I love what he did ! He made me feel beautiful inside and out due to his kind and compassionate service. To be honest when I saw the original quote I was a little worried but when I saw the results, I honestly thought I should have paid more. Anyone looking for dimensional,flawless color should ask for Daniel!

I just moved to Tampa and came here for the first time a week ago, knowing that Aveda salons have good reputations. Daniel gave me a cut and color with highlights. He did an amazing job from the consult, to the shampoo bowl massage, and to the finished product. I had showed him a picture of how I wanted the color and cut to look and he nailed it, yet also added some ideas from his experience to make it look even better. This wasn’t an easy color combination, nor was the cut. I can tell he really knows what he is doing. He was also very friendly and fun to talk to. Others in the salon that helped me were also very friendly, and I really loved the relaxed atmosphere. I’m happy to have found my salon and hair dresser here and would highly recommend!

I went to Level a couple weeks ago for a quick haircut after not having one for a couple months. I had the pleasure of sitting for Daniel. He was absolutely AMAZING!! After a quick consult on my haircut and some general concerns I expressed about the overall health of my hair, he recommended the hair botox and it was a spot on recommendation! My hair felt so good after! Daniel also had such an awesome vibe and he was so friendly, instantly putting me at ease with having someone new cut and work on my hair. Many thanks Daniel! You will not be disappointed! Kennedy did an amazing job from our initial consultation for a balayage to an amazing shampoo ritual and blowout. I have naturally curly hair and it has always been a challenge finding someone that can blow dry it without having to use a flat iron after. It was so refreshing to have a stylist that could do a blowout on my curls without pulling and using and iron. I love how my balayage came out and my hair feels so healthy. Kennedy is an absolute professional and takes care of you 100%. The salon is gorgeous and all the ladies there are very helpful and personable. I will definitely be back!

I had my hair cut by Kira who was absolutely amazing! About a month before I had gone to another salon in town to get a perm. End result was that my hair was destroyed. I went in to Kira to have her cut off the split ends and treat my hair. She was so gentle! My hair is back to healthy length. She talked me through everything I should be doing in order to regain its strength and restore the bonds. I would highly highly HIGHLY recommend her and this location to everyone!!

I had the pleasure of meeting Alyssa! I moved to Tampa from San Diego, CA last October and was referred to a stylist in Clearwater. He is AWESOME 😎 However, I live in Apollo Beach and it takes me an hour to get to his salon. I decided to try and find someone closer….I have had bad experiences in the past AND I’m a blond with fine hair! I did some on line research and made some phone calls….then I found Level 1 in Hyde Park! I’m so happy I did!!! I will continue to see Alyssa from now on!! If you are looking for an amazing stylist, Callie is your girl! She has amazing talent, professionalism and she knows hair! I love this salon and the atmosphere. Everyone is super friendly and knowledgeable. I’m so happy I found Callie at Level and she is my go to stylist now. I recommend all my friends to Level Salon!The only complaint I have is the instrumental versions of Katy Perry and Post Malone playing the whole time I was there. This salon could do so much better when it comes to music choices. But this has nothing to do with the staff or professionalism. Im brand new to the tampa area and I think Ive found my forever stylist, Morgan! I came in wanting my hair to look sun-kissed (as if Ive been in Florida my whole life) and she did not disappoint! I decided to do a bayalage and it turned out great! I gave little to no direction or description and absolutely nailed it. She was even able to help me get some new shampoo and conditioner to match my hair type. I already booked a haircut and highlight touch up with Morgan!

Ive been going to this salon for the last 2 years and seeing James who does a great job cutting my hair. However, the managers (Jennifer and Rebekah) and staff at the salon are rude and seem more concerned with money than respecting and valuing their customers.Ive been charged twice for half of my appointment fees in the last week and as a result of this week’s incident I will not be returning to this salon again. Wednesday late afternoon, I moved my appointment up to 11am on Thursday but didnt receive an email or text to confirm. The girl on the phone said that she would just confirm it for me. Flash-forward to 9:10am Thursday morning when I was surprised to receive a phone call from them saying ‘unfortunately since you are past our 15 minute or more policy, we are gonna have to charge you for half of the service.’ Note the time the call was made and yes, the charge was already pending on my card. I explained to the girl that my appointment was scheduled for 11am and not 9am. I very clearly wouldve never accepted a 9am appointment as thats around the time that I feed my son. She continued to argue with me and just repeated over and over that my card was being charged (end of story). Her manager, Jennifer, later called me back and argued me down as well. She was insistent the other manager, Rebekah, was the one who confirmed my appointment and that she never would have told me that 11am was available and that it was MY mistake and I was being charged no matter what. They left no room that perhaps their was an error on their part or any sort of miscommunication on their part at all. She basically implied that I was lying and just made up the 11am time.Last week, I had to cancel my appointment last minute because I wasnt feeling well and was afraid I could have Covid so didnt want to go in and risk it. I was charged as a no-show for that appointment as it was less than 24 hours. I accepted that charge as that is their policy of charging you for half of the service regardless of the reason. I understand and respect policies but I do believe there can be exceptions made in a case by case basis especially if a salon cares more about their customers than money. No haircut is worth this kind of treatment or behavior. I advise finding another salon. I will be!

I almost turned my back on this salon because of a terrible mishap with my hair. I basically wanted a balayage and since my hair already had a caramel balayage to it, I wanted to go a bit lighter for the summer. Long story short, the stylist doing my hair basically dyed my whole head. I got highlights instead and my hair was left with orange and cool-toned blonde distributed unevenly throughout my hair. I didnt notice till I got home, that the sides of my hair was orange. I wanted to cry because I did spend a lot of money for salon quality hair and did not get what i wanted. I called and the manager (Rebecca) and hostess were really nice about the whole ordeal. I sent in pictures and they were able to schedule me in the very next day. Sydney basically saved my hair, it was already over-processed and left feeling straw-like from the previous encounter, but she managed to tone down the blonde and remove the orange hues. In the end its not what I wanted but, Sydney did her magic and rescued my hair. She not only saved my hair but gave me valuable tips since my hair went through a lot. Having to go to a salon twice is not ideal but, your prompt response and awesome customer service made it less stressful.

Cammie is the best ! She always takes her time and makes sure that she takes care of your hair first by doing whatever is most healthiest for you ! I never know what I want and she is able to look at me and help me decide ! Amazing service and I always love the outcome !

I had a wonderful cut/style/blowout by James- it was my first time at this Aveda location. Everyone was very safe and social distance, and wearing masks- and in spite of the masks, we were able to still be human and chat!The cut I received on my thick, fine, straight shoulder length hair is exactly what I needed- James took my idea/need and made it a reality. I still have the length- but he added beautiful subtle layers that look great blown out AND air dried/brushed naturally!Ill be going back, enthusiastically!

She is so personable, fun, and GREAT at what she does! Everyone I have referred to her LOVES her as well!! Ive actually gone to this Salon a couple times in the past five years. The first stylist I went to isnt there anymore. She did an okay job. The second stylist that I went to this year actually did okay the first time and did poorly the second time with my short haircut. Very uneven and well Im not going to mention her name or her stylist level because this is not about writing a bad review. When I called the manager and explain to her after I had been really bothered by my haircut and my entire appointment with the previous stylist for about a week when I called she assured me that they wanted to make things right and scheduled me with Allison. All I can say about Allison is she made up for the previous bad experiences! She was easy to talk to, she engaged with me and absolutely checked her work and made sure my hair was even, laid nicely and that I was fully satisfied. Ill be using Allison again!

Cammie is excellent with my two younger daughters. Well worth the price.

I Love Aveda. Pretty much wherever I am traveling I can find an Aveda salon and know I will leave with my hair looking better than it did when I came! I have been a longstanding client of Aveda salons. Not happy with the lack of professionalism and customer service at the Aveda Level Salon Spa in Hyde Park. I wouldnt waste a dime here. Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else!

I have gone here for 5 years now and will never be going back. Almost all the professional and skilled artist have left the salon. My last appointment is why I will never be going back. They rescheduled me with a new artist I had never seen before, instead of rescheduling me with the lady I asked to be scheduled with and I was not made aware until I arrived to my appointment. They assured me she was good but I walked out extremely disappointed with my color, I also asked for a trim and she cut off so much length I had worked to grow. Never once have I called back to complain but when I did it was handled unprofessionally and basically told me all they can do is have me come in so they can look at it and the artist can learn or they can try to fix it.This salon is overpriced for what they offer and after all the bad things I heard about the management I still went back but now they have lost a customer for life and I will be sure to share my experience. Not worth the money.

Came to Level back in January, when I was new to town and gearing up for my wedding. I showed up, having never been there before, with a hair extension I planned on wearing for my wedding style and asked to get a color that would match.The stylist was brilliant! Not only did she give me the PERFECT color for my big day (NO ONE knew I was wearing an extension), but she heard me when I said I couldnt lose any length before my wedding and still managed to give me a shape-up that was worlds better than my hair had been in ages as well as a slew of suggestions for repairing my too-dry hair (and not just only tips that sold products, but also ones I could do with stuff I already had at home).I just left my second appointment with Level and left just as happy. My color is wonderful and she is great at balancing explaining what she is doing and why with comforting chit-chat. Ive already made my third appointment there.On the whole, Level is very clean, welcoming and altogether a terrific salon. The front desk is always very welcoming, and they have cute programs that saved me On my services, which is nice because they arent cheap (though Ive had worse cuts for pricier in my time). Each appointment gets a complimentary drink (tea, coffee, wine, water) and a mini-service (neck massage, hand massage, mini-facial).Id highly recommend Level Salon in Hyde park and the staff to anyone.

When I walked into this salon, I instantly got a great vibe. I hadnt been to a salon in almost 12 years before having my hair done here, so I was so happy when I found this place. The appointment was so easy to make (I did it online), and I got a couple of confirmation texts and a reminder text the day my appointment was scheduled, so that made things really convenient. The staff were so friendly and offered me coffee, tea, and water as soon as I went inside. I was greeted by my stylist, Cora, right away, and she thoroughly went over how she was going to achieve the look that I wanted and asked about my normal hair-care regimen to determine what would work best for me in my daily life.I wanted something low-maintenance with layers that would grow out nicely, and I got exactly that. She spent an hour and a half on my hair, and when I saw the finished product, I was so happy. The whole experience was so relaxing (who doesnt love having their hair played with?), and Cora did an amazing job. It helped that the atmosphere of the salon was very dark and quiet. For what I got, I was expecting to pay a lot more. For an affordable and chic salon with a staff that DEFINITELY knows what theyre doing, go here. Ill definitely be back!

Go to Rhonda! She is amazing! I have mixed race hair that is relaxed, I went in for a dry cut & style and Rhonda nailed it! She is not only good at what she does but she has great attention to detail (which Im always particular about) and talking to her is like talking to a friend Ive known for years (and that was my first time ever having her as my stylist). I love the salon as a whole, very professional and a complete pampering experience. Well worth the price, which isnt bad considering the products used and the experience of the stylists. Ive had a few other stylists that Ive been very happy with, Bobby (master stylist that is no longer there) and most recently Dave (senior stylist who is also super talented and a treat to be around) and lastly Rhonda who was the cherry on the fantastic sundae of experiences that Ive had over the past 4 years at this salon. I have been going there for half a year now and really love their service as well as their hair cutting/dying capabilities. I have been to countless hair salons that have all failed me miserably, to the point at which I just ended up growing out my hair as I had completely given up on getting a decent hair cut.Ronnie fixed that. He always does a wonderful job cutting my hair, and with cuts that are not easy to do. Their hair colorists do a wonderful job as well. I went platinum blond for a while which looked perfect every time. And I recently went to a dark brown, which from blond is not easy to accomplish with even/correct coloring. They did a fantastic job leaving my hair looking great and feeling healthy.I am habitually late person and they have always been friendly and forgiving regarding my lateness (has happened perhaps twice) which is incredibly kind of them as I am sure it has been an inconvenience to them. Late or not, I have never had to wait even a minuet any time I have ever gone. I’ve been coming to this salon since I moved to Florida 2 years ago. Callie has colored my hair every 4 months for 2 years, and Vee has been cutting my hair for 1 year. They have never disappointed, and I have always left the salon happy! The drive from St. Pete is worth it every time!

Oooo no. I can’t leave a good review about this salon. They over processed my hair and I have a big damage. I lost a lot of hair. My experience was horrible. It’s not a matter how fast you will do the service but of the quality of work. This salon doesn’t have a good stylist.
