I come from very far to get my nails done here. They are VERY good. They are safe and have separations between each pedicure seat. My nails last a very long time and theyre beautiful. One of the guys even knew my polish color name just by looking at a picture. Now all the women in my family go here.

The guy did my nails and the next day they started chipping..staff is friendly but my nails were off in 3 days ..Ive never had an experience like that with the female nail tech. My nails were all different shapes. Price i paid did not match the work.

Started off at Sophias from when they first opened . The quality of services has severely declined . I guess when you grow you don’t have to worry about the small nuisances of quality and building relationships. I still have them a 3 because they do have a small handful of workers that are friendly and do out their all into what they do . But unfortunately it’s not consistent . My last visit was 3 weeks ago . Gel nails on both hands and feet began peeling by day 4 . Typically Gel nails are suppose to last 2 weeks if applied properly . The amount paid did not reflect the product . Will unfortunately begin searching for another nail home .

Over charge you for service. False advertisement of prices. I got a refill thats supposs to come with polish changes. Refill was too thin. I had to ask the worker to polish clear coat on top or he was gonna leave it with refill plain. Charged me 21 dollars when Clearly refill w polish said 18 with the length I had. Free cut down with refill. Lady tells me cause I didnt get gel refill its not with free polish...never again. 2 days later my nail chipped and broke due to thin layer on my refill.

I showed them a design I wanted (second photo) and they executed it perfectly.

I like their pedicures BUT I got a full set LAST week and my nails are lifting!!! After only 1 week!!! I have NEVER had this happen but it won’t happen again.

They are ok if you just need to get you nails done as an emergency but they do not pay attention to detail. My nails are short as I asked them but they all have a different shape. The only good thing they have is theyre pedicures. They are outstanding at it!

Excellent and highly recommended; Tonya is fantastic, and the place was in great shape.. will definitely go back.

Update: two of my nails already broke.Honestly, I’ve been going here for about 3 years now and I used to love them. Their prices were reasonable and they did a good job. As of March they raised their prices and now it just feels like they nickel and dime you for everything. Unless you go there wanting basic short nails it seems like it’s an extra $5 for everything. If they have to shape a full set .. $5. They didn’t shape the way you like them last time and you ask them to fix the shape for your refill .. $5. and they charge you the same price whether you want them painted or not. I live about 5 minutes away and would now rather drive elsewhere to have my nails done!

Hands down Tanya is the best. I have been going to her for 8 years now, moved out to Riverview and will make the drive to Tampa because her and her team are the greatest. I have never had a cleanliness issue and her team is the friendliest, very fast and efficient. You will not be disappointed. Tanya always does my nails and Lynn my pedicure but Ann and Phil are also very good. Walk ins are welcomed but I would suggest making an appointment because the salon is usually busy.

Just very disappointed because i came here 3 different times and was great until today. Wont even waste my time explaining my story its too much, just simply dont come here to waste your time and money if they don’t/can’t provide nail services that their “licensed” for to do! In my case Encapsulated nails. They REFUSED to do encapsulated nails. Also overpriced for no reason their prices went up. Go somewhere else for less and better service:D Rude and disrespectful nail tech and owner.

I like the fact that they are open until 8pm. Great for working people who get off a little later. I’ve been her twice. The first time I went a younger gentleman did my pedicure and he did a great job. The second time I went an older gentleman did my pedicure and it’s horrible. The nail polish isn’t neat and the bottom of my feet are hard. If you go here just make sure you get someone who is good. The customer service is very nice.

From out of town for job training, was in desperate need of nails being done. From reviews, place seem to be fair and good work. Called explained about my need and asked was it too late come by. It was after 7pm and place closed at 8pm. Tonya was polite and said to come. Walked in and found a friendly atmosphere. Tonya was prompt, friendly, attentive, and above all did a excellent job on my nails. Took her time and finished in timely manner. You could tell she was tired but alert and still full of energy to get tasks done. Never a moment of rudeness. Made me feel very welcome. I definitely recommend. Reasonable price. I most definitely will come back when Im in the area again.

Literally the BEST in Tampa! I went to 7 different salons around the Bay Area when I moved here 2 years ago. Once I found Sophia nails, I searched no more. Amazing quality, service, and cost! Don’t waste your time anywhere else, seriously Sophia Nails is the BEST!

Ive been here a few times and it has always been a good experience. The women who work here are great and friendly and seem to care about the job they do. It does get very busy, its popular but I dont think its fair for them to get penalized that they cant do a lot of simultaneous service or accommodate walk ins.

When I tell you I am shook, I am shook. I went here with my 1 year old who ended up screaming at the top of his lungs in the salon and the nail tech (didn’t get his name had tattoos) was so awesome he finished my nails in 20 minutes and gave me exactly what I wanted. A little higher than most places but you get what you pay for which was an amazing job!

Went for the first time today. Not really happy with my gel manicure. Kinda sloppy. Had to file rigged edges when I left.

Very nice staff and they are super fast with a lot of different options for nails. They also do feet. Prices arent bad either.

Service was good. Tech was super nice but way too many coats of polish. My nails didnt dry for almost an hour after leaving the salon and then I had to fix them at home because I assumed after even 30 minutes they were dry.

I always come when Lee is working. The madsage chairs are not the strongest/newest, but Lee gives me theeee best pedicures and nice long foot massages. Its only $20 for a pedi, which I feel is more than reasonable, so I always tip her well. Be good to them and theyll be good to you.

This place is EXTREMELY unprofessional. First, the lady that did my nails was super rude the entire time by talking SUPER loud in her native language with the rest of the workers. They also had the TV and the radio all in their language with no subtitles in English. Again, not a big deal but just not customer focused.Second, the lady was upset when I wanted to see the other book of shellac colors and pick between two different pinks... they weren’t busy I was the only other customer besides one other lady.Lastly, this place is NOT clean. When I walked in, two employees were WASHING the disposable “sandals” that other salons give the customer to take home. This is disgusting and unhygienic. They should be fined just for that alone.My nails turned out ok, but the service was AWFUL!Will never return!!!!!!

Do not go here. If it’s not the head lady, your nail technician may have a bad attitude. Also both times I got my nails done from here, they have chipped (not even from much activity) they have chipped because this shop uses cheap nails!

Within 2 days of paying for fullset and a nail design that chipped off I asked if they could replace the nails since it’s only been less than a week and they refuse. They use cheap Acrylic with expensive prices please go somewhere else don’t waste your money

After a pedicure with Sophia nails I ended up with a horrible nail infection. A few days after my pedicure I woke up in the middle of the night in extreme pain, throbbing toe. Then my nail turned black and one month later I’ve completely lost the nail.

I made an appointment with Tanya, after I showed up she tells me that she couldn’t do my nails cause she had other clients and she put me with Jessica(horrible) she was kind of rude and on top of that did my nails horrible. Then I tell Tanya and she tells me that she had other clients, my question is then why she gave me an appointment to come meet with her and then said she had other people. I will never go again. DO NOT do your nails with Jessica, she is horrible. I complained and nothing was done. Never again

Amazing its close to my job so I decided to go there I got a full set theyre beautiful when I was sitting there I was watching ladies get pedicures and I noticed one lady that was massaging so good so I had to get a pedicure also her name is Lisa I recommend her for pedicures

Terrible service and management. They did my lashes and wiped semi-permanent glue across MY EYELIDS, not just my lashes. I told her it was burning and she said “it’ll stop burning when it dries in an hour”. After several hours of it burning and blurring my vision, I requested a refund because I had to have them removed. They definitely need more training and the staff is rude. It took two days for them to finally give me a refund after arguing back and forth with them about why it’s dangerous to put individual lash adhesive on skin. Save your money, don’t go!

Dont waste your time and money! Tonya is a smooth operator. When I called her that both my fill and pedicure were not what i wanted, bad job, she told me to come in eluding that she would fix problems. I have a work event that I need to look and feel good. When i returned to Sophias (dont be fooled-not Hispanic lol), I waited for Tonya only to have her tell me the job was done, I paid soo. What!!! She basically told me she helps her loyal customers. Again, WHAT! These people are rude and unscrupulous. After Tonya said all this in front of all the customers, she told me to have a good time. What balls! Many just be the culture thing. Dont go there!!!

Very rude manager and staff! Please do not waste your time at this salon. The quality of your nails will be poor and breaking off in the next few days. There are flies in the inside and they do not clean the salon or material they use for pedicures. I will not be going back, it’s a total waste of time and money.

They do a good job but they are very much bullies, they enjoy laughing at the fact it was my first time getting gel nails... really?! Are we in high school? Plus they charged me for gel on my toes, which I didnt get, and she didnt put clear on my toes. It just seems like they hate anyone whos off on the weekend, while theyre working. I wouldnt return, so sad.

I have been going here for 2 yrs almost now and it pains me to even give the rating I am giving. I have always had great service and in the last month I have been here twice. The first time the guy did not listen to a word I said about what I wanted in my nails and the same guy did my toes and didnt even do them right. Today I went and a tech I used to love seemed to just have an attitude with me she asked what I needed I told her a fill, pedicure and my eyebrows she did my nails first and asked me to pay I said I also want a pedicure and eyebrows and she seemed irritated about it. The guy who did my toes again didnt really listen to me when I told him what needed to be done to specific toes. I think it is again time for me to find a new nail shop and it is sad as I have had nothing but good experiences here until now. I am a person who I expect to get what u ask and pay for and if you can not do that and also have an attitude then you do NOT deserve my hard earned money.

I am sick to my stomach what I just experience at this Nail Salon.. as I am getting ready to leave with my daughter, two moms with there sons left before me, and I was witness to how everyone in the shop(who works there) started to say mean things and English, and engage two customers in there ruthless attack. I am not a follower. I am a leader I was shaking as I was shocked they would even do this in front of customers and for reason just being bullies.. these moms where not naked they where wearing maxi dresses but where very beautiful in I saw they were even being nice, and even paying for multiple services. I stood up being the leader that I am.. (i dont tolerate bullying) spoke my mind and told them to stop being bullies.. wow!! I am still shocked. These people not only dont provide great nails service, but shouldnt work in customer service. The whole staff are bullies...

Really good pedis. But I got acrylic nails and they where not well made at all. The workers where all very friendly but suck at nails. My nails hurt since day one (and they are small) and now one is unsticking and it almost falling off after only 6 days of having them. Probably wont go back for a refill

I never write reviews but today I felt compelled to do so because its not fair for people that spend their hard working money on bad service. This is my second time going there and I have issue with people who do this.. When I went there today a lady told me to pay FIRST before the service was done which I felt like discrimination. 2nd I will NOT give a tip if the work is not done probably because how can you expect me to pay first and expect a tip if you didnt do the JOB correctly and thats exactly what happened. Ladies or Men if you go there I wouldnt advice it because 1 of them would do the job right but the rest would not. There are other places.

Not Really a good place when it comes to accrillic nails they dont like to start at the top they leave like 2 centimeters and then they start doing it when they do your cutticles dont really spend time on making sure thats how you want it always in a hurry with other customers always looking at the door not a good place to trust your nails

I left my nail salon and started going to sofia nalis because first of all, they do an amazing job very nice good prices and great quality work & best pedicures ever! Faithfully seeing tanya for my nails feet & brows! Love coming here in between my work shifts.

They dont ask you what type of nail do you want, or if you want both nails hands and foot to get done, i prefer to not yell it in the middle of the salon, they do a pretty good and amazing job at the nails, i just prefer if they ask you that type of things since you may be new or anything like that.
