My daughter was getting married in Clearwater, FL at the end of April, but had been stationed overseas in England until April 5. So, we had like 2 1/2 weeks to get her dress altered once she arrived back in the US. This dress shop was an absolute Godsend. Ms. Judy was friendly, professional and quick! She was able to get my daughters dress altered in 2 weeks!! We even had a last minute alteration needed the day we picked up the dress and she did it that afternoon. After multiple negative experiences with other tailors in the area who nearly ruined garments by taking shortcuts with their workmanship, I finally found Judy. She has the magic touch! Judy does each fitting exactly as it should be done. Her alterations are undetectable and the finished garment appears as if it came straight from the factory. Each item I have brought to her for alteration (from suits, tuxedos, dress shirts, pants, etc.) is fitted and finished to perfection. There is nothing she cant handle. Judy was even able to make an invisible repair to a snag in a dinner jacket that I feared was destined for the trash bin. In short, this gifted lady is the real thing. Her decades of experience are clearly obvious, having worked for many years at Macys in both Chicago and Tampa before opening her own shop. Judy was polite and professional from the first time I called. I had 6 days to get a ball gown altered. The top needed a lot more altering than I thought to get it to fit perfectly and the bottom needed to be shortened. She got it done in 3 days. The cost was $145 and the gown fits like a glove. I have always had to have my clothes altered to fit properly and I have to say she was the best I have ever used.

I was looking for a tailor after my dog destroyed my girlfriends new, never worn dress for a wedding next month, shes crying, Im in trouble. The dogs in trouble. Just chewed all through the fabric and of course it was sold out online. So I took it here with little hopes of being repaired. Judy was so nice and had the dress back before we even needed it. I was recommend to try Judys for full custom tailoring as I needed more work done than an easier alteration, and I definitely will be a returning customer! Being uber-tall, most long sleeve shirts are way too short on me; as was the case with all the uniforms from my new work. I took a couple extra shirts to Judy (for matching materials) and she was able to custom make new long sleeves that I can actually wear. Her workmanship is superb - you cant tell the shirts were different in any way from the original, except for the sleeves being 2-3 inches longer now. Quick work, only took about a week (4-5 business days), and the price was good. Ill be back there next time I need custom tailoring.

Bought a dress online and needed it taken out a bit around the studded band that did not stretch. I walked in and within a few minutes of looking at the dress Judy saw a solution. She added a beautiful touch of red lace that matched perfectly to the dress to give more space, reinforced all stitching and let the arms out as well... the dress fitted perfectly and with a quick turnaround of 2 days!! Definitely going back to her for any other alterations I may need!!

Awesome! I had a beautiful dress that was too tight and I couldnt buy the dress in a larger size that I took to Judy not really thinking anything could be done. Judy just took over, grabbed some unneeded material from the hem of the dress and now my too-tight-cant-wear-it dress fits perfectly. Plus on another occasion, I went in needing a dress hemmed and she actually hemmed the dress (beautifully just like the original hem) while I waited and then only charged me $15! This person raved about Judys work so much, the first thing I brought to her for alterations was a gator embossed lambskin leather dress that kind of bunched under the bust and around the waist. I thought my hips were too big and caused the bunching, but what do I know? Judy immediately understood what needed to be done-she explained that Im petite and the dress in the torso was too long. This wasnt a simple job since the bottom half of the skirt needed to be removed in order to shorten the torso then reattached (obviously). She had it completed a day early and when I tried it on, it fit perfectly. If youre very particular with an eye for detail like I am, then Judy is the woman you want to see for alterations. She will see things you dont and point them out to you so that whatever you bring in will look like its been custom tailored when you pick it up. I promise you that you wont find a more professional, gifted tailor than Judy. And as if thats not enough, her prices are very reasonable!
