What an incredible experience and blessing. Check system charging light comes on at 4pm, 20 miles from home. Its the alternator! No way anyone is going to be able to get me at this time of night. Its now 5:30 and I am on my way home! Incredible! Life long customer now! Thanks Lou!

They did what they said theyre going to do, they completed on time, the communicated very well. I felt that the staff was honest and I like hearing truth about my vehicle.

Awesome service. Very friendly staff. The fan on the radiator would not shut off. I was give two prices, one for just the control module and a replacement fan that came with the controller. There was only $6.00 between them so I had the fan replaced. The new battery that AAA installed the day before was dead. So they replaced it under warranty. Then the alternator was bad. They got the parts by the next day and called when done. On time on budget. I will gladly use them again. Plus its a AAA certified shop and I received a discount on the labor. Been there three time. Still the great service.

I took my car to do some engine repair and they literally destroyed my engine.The engine was so damaged by their poor workmanship it had to be replaced. I would not recommend them if you have a mechanical repair that requires serious knowledge of internal engine work. Mr Lou ask Orlando you have replaced timing chains, valve work, head gaskets etc which is considered engine work.

Dont thrust this place. I was charged 585 usd for a service i didnt get . I brougth my own part and my own oíl to flash transmission . My oíl was never used and transmission was never flushed but stil they made me pay . They also charged me for a part i never got. So be Careful with this place. I s all a theater they invent histories to make you pay for nothing,,, all a scam .Will take this toDEPARTAMENT OF FINANCIAL SERVICES -Division of Consumer Service.And any other goverment institution.

This place could use lessons in customer service.Car broke down called AAA, and they sent these guys. They were able to diagnose the problem on the spot and offer to tow the car to their shop to run a diagnostic. Fine, called the next day to find out how much it would be was told around $600. Ok. Next day was told the car was ready, went to pick it up. Asked what other issue are there with the car ( things you would find out when you run a diagnostic on a car.) Was told I don’t know why they tell “you people that. He began to speak to me like I don’t understand the difference between the words diagnostic and diagnose. He continued to talk over me and talk down to me like I didn’t know what I was talking about. I was done with this terrible service and he left I assumed to get the car. I see him in the little window to the garage with the machine and now after all that back and forth he is running a diagnostic on the car. And came back with codes which I assume the machine gave him a report advising of errors. He spent more time trying to say I didn’t know I was talking about than it took to run the diagnostic! After paying $600+ to spoken to and treated that way, needless to say will not use or recommend this garage. One guy did apologize and said he will talk to his manager. But at this point the damage is done.

Worst service and customer service everMy neighbor who’s a retired mechanic usually change my breaks but he was out of town so I went to this mechanic to do my breaks. But after service was done I noticed a noise every time I hit the break pedal. Once my neighbor was back in town he noticed that the breaks were too used to be new. I went back to the mechanic and I told him that the breaks he fixed seems to be old because of the noise but he got very upset and refused to take a look at the breaks.

Honest, dependable car repairs.

The guys in here were honest and didnt BS me. Ill be back for all of my car needs. I like the fact that he tells you what it is and doesnt try to hide what COULD BE if they cant physically see it. Ask for the parts that are broken. Hell gladly give them to you when done. THAT is an honest mechanics shop. Tell them to put whats broken in your trunk. Just make sure you line it with high quality tarps in case the parts are greasy and decide to leak!

Been a customer for the last year, always a good experience. Fair and do not try to ripe you off if you are not car literate. Highly recommended if in search of a trustworthy mechanic shop.

Needed a tow to a local repair shop through our AAA membership. The gave us an hour time frame but made it there in 30 minutes. Tow drivers were polite & punctual, mechanic at the shop was great.. very honest people and offered a 10% discount because of AAA. Orlando is a very personable person and lets you know straight forward what he thinks the problem of your car is and if they can fix it.

After arriving at the Tampa airport at 8:30pm on a Saturday night, after a four-hour flight, my car wouldnt start. No click, no lights, nothing. I still had a 90 minute drive home!! I called AAA and received a phone call from Alex within a minute of hanging up. He arrived in less than the 20 minutes he estimated! The battery wouldnt hold a charge after 45 minutes of work. Alex offered a number of options, one of them being he drive me home! Thats a three-hour commitment on his part and beyond what I would ask of anyone, even my closest friend. I chose to tow the car to Lous and started looking for hotels nearby. Alex stepped in again with suggestions for hotels in safe areas, near restaurants, and drove past a few to let me chose the one I wanted to stay at. He drove me to the front door, retrieved my belongings from the dead car, and made sure I was safely inside before leaving. I felt completely safe with Alex.Body shops/garages are not open on Sunday! I rented a car to get home and spoke to Lou on Monday morning. A new battery [$160] and Im good to go. Ill be in Tampa again on Wednesday and Lou has no problem with me leaving the car at his shop until then.

Had my truck all weekend. I doubt they even looked at it. On Monday they told me my transmission was bad and that it would be 1000s to fix. I knew that wasnt the problem. Turns out it was a bad wire and was fixed for 50 bucks.

They just lost a customer. They fixed our air conditioning and its working is as well as it can I guess, but our radio speakers were working fine. They had to go to the dash and now our left speaker is not working. The mechanic claimed that those speakers were blown .NOT TRUE!! I do not find this company to be reputable because this is not true .IThe speakers were working and they did not fix their mistake in our opinion.

Had a great experience! Called AAA to get towed and had a wonderful driver named Jonathan who tried to get my car started before even attempting to tow! I was going to have towed to dealership and he convinced me to give Lous a shot. I was leery due to all the bad reviews (most of them about tow, not the repair shop), but as it Turns out I had a bad throttle body. Very impressed with this company. Received a call the next morning with exact part cost and estimate for repair. Very reasonable. Also did my brakes and rotors with my parts for a fair price! Thanks Lou’s and Jose at the counter who did a fantastic job and even showed me the bad part and explained the failure to me!

Came in for AC compressor replacement and glad I did! Ive been to other places for similar work and they offer/do install the cheapest part they can. Not only was Lous very responsible and honest with all the work theyve done for me before and the prices have been great but they have also been super cool dudes. I called AAA because my 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe had the front driver side tire completely off and the screws were broken off. They sent a flat bed tow truck and he couldnt do anything and then after a few hours AAA was able to sent me the best of the best because Robert Truck #125 from Lous Total Care and Towing showed up. He was very professional and explained the risks due to the situation but after I signed the paperwork he had the patience and was able to tow my car to the mechanic. I live in Michigan and my son was headed to South Florida on a tight budget until his transmission went out. Stuck on the side of the road I googled repair shops in the Tampa area. After calling several I called Lous Total Car Care and Towing. Couldnt afford the tow and repair but we were stuck and didnt want the car with all his personals towed by the police on the highway. Spoke with Lou the owner and shared our story. He offered to go get my son, his car and all his stuff and get him to the shop. Also offered a free inspection to at least figure out how much damage there was. It needed a transmission but was a 98 Honda Civic stick shift. Very hard to find and to buy a built one was out of the question. It ended up being lunch time so they had my son eat with them while Lou tried to call all his contacts trying to find a trans or parts to rebuild it. After several calls he actually found a wrecked Honda Civic that he could get the trans out of. He sent one of his Techs to pull the trans out of the wrecked car and it was way more affordable at $50 than 6-700 dollar prices we got for a rebuilt. Not only did he save us a lot of money he got it done and put my son back on the road the same day. Its not all about the money for this shop its more about Great Customer Service. Thanks to Lou and his Techs for taking care of my son and treating us like family.Thank you Lou and your staff for everything.

This shop is amazing! From race cars to mud trucks to everyday driver I have brought them all of my vehicles and they have always done me right. Good prices friendly staff and free advice.

They were very quick and honest about what needed to be done to my car. Everything they did included a warranty. Go here instead of places that just want to overcharge you.

Towing service with AAA, took 2 hours to get here. Dispatcher took down the address incorrectly and the driver went to the wrong place. Once the driver got to me, told me that he had to get help because he didn’t know how to move my car. Driver told me that his coworker has to come to remove my tire, which he doesn’t know how to do himself. Waited over 45 minutes for the coworker to arrive. Terrible service.

Recently Lous Auto Repair worked on my Dads 2001 F-150 truck. Problem was electrical of unknown origin. They had the truck for more than 2 weeks and told him the problem was the interior fusebox was bad, and they could not find a replacement. They claimed the first 2 were bad and returned. Once it was Supposedly fixed they charged $200.00 for a part(not labor) that we could locate on line for between 59.00 & 93.00.Is this a common mark up on used parts...Or is ir taking advantage of a 92 year old eldery veteran. The next day after picking up repaired truck.. Problem returns. I would avoid this place unless you support this type of business practice. Which is not fixing the problem and over charging for prices on parts.

I needed to have two of lug nuts replaced with wheel locks. I went to another local shop and they tried to charge me $15 for the labor. Wow. Needless to say I didnt do it and thought about Lous. I called before I came and showed up 10 minutes later. Jose took care of it for free. I am impressed by the customer service and time shared to help me for something small. I definitely recommend this shop as I believe they care for the customer and not the next dollar. Will definitely have work done here in the future.

Went in to get Steeri g collar fixed. 2 days later had same problem but I was 500 miles away. $300. Im not going to take a back because I dont trust mecjanic. Je is an ardent Trump supporter, which is his business, but he pushes it on the customers

I just moved from the area from Miami and really did not know anyone in Tampa. I stopped at Lous because my check engine light turned on and my car was shaking. I as a woman am terrified of going to mechanic shops but Orlando the manager made me feel like i was at my regular Mechanic in miami. He told me what the problem was gave me an estimate which I found super economic and even offered me a ride to my job. I appreciate everything they have done for me. This place is Amazing !!!! My car was towed from pep boys because they was going to put a starter in my suv and they were going to charge me almost 400. No Joke !!! I was telling someone about that ridiculous amount n they said have it towed to Lou’s Total Car Care and thank god I did they charged me almost half the price n looked over another concern of mine, they took care of my other problem and didn’t charge me anything that happened back in April I’ve gone back for all my auto problem I trust Lou’s Total Car Care TOTALLY !!!!!Marilyn Floyd....
