Terrace Auto is fantastic! Shane, Karen, and staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. We take our vehicles to Terrace Auto for everything from routine maintenance to major car repairs. They have always been able to identify and fix whatever car issues we bring to them (and always fix it quickly and at a good value!). One of my favorite things about Terrace Auto is that they take the time to educate customers. I highly recommend Terrace Auto! They wont steer you wrong! ;)

Came by to have my tires inspected for a bounciness at lower speeds and a vibration at higher speeds. Guy tells me both front tires are beginning to separate. Told me to feel along the tread for uneven wear. Told him I didnt feel anything and left. I knew the tires werent separating. Mind you, he didnt take my car for a road test or put it up on a lift. Went to a tire shop, turns out my alignment was out and one tire had some cupping on the inside tread, which it did have - a different tire than the two the guy from here claimed were separating. Pretty sad when a tire franchise shop is more honest and knows what they’re doing than an independent shop.

I bought an older car and brought it here for them to analyze and repair. They were honest with me and treated me with kindness and respect. I will definitely return here for any and all future car repairs. I trust them.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Terrace Auto Repair. Originally, we had taken our 2011 Kia Optima to the dealership in Brandon for an issue with our intercooler. The dealership quoted us $2k, and I searched around elsewhere. We were referred to Terrace by a coworker, and as soon as I called to make an appointment, I knew we had found The Right Place. Karen was incredible - she spent time and energy researching our intercooler issue to give us a fair estimate before we even brought the car in. She was able to make time for us despite an incredibly busy schedule. The quote Karen gave us, assuming the worst, was already $700 less than the dealership. Additionally, when they were able to take a look at the car, it turned out that the issue was much smaller than the dealership made it sound. The technicians were able to solve the problem and carefully replace the intercooler without damaging other pipes and hoses, which saved us another $600! I will not be going anywhere else for service on our car as long as we live in Tampa. Terrace Auto is absolutely incredible.

We always use Terrace Auto for maintenance and repairs on both of our vehicles. The prices are incredibly reasonable and we never feel pressured into anything. I always get a phone call before they do anything to let me know the costs and any other services they recommend. I had a Fiat 500 that needed some A/C work done due to blowing hot air and some minimal repairs. Brought the vehicle to this shop as it was relatively close to where I live. Although Karen is a nice person, the quote given to me, made my jaw drop. Karen quoted me $1750.00 for the following:Oil Change, Labor for a window regulator replacement (I supplied the part), A new A/C Compressor, Condenser, Expansion Valve, plus labor to install and diagnostic fees.I asked why in the world is this repair so expensive, Karen claimed she had difficulty finding the parts for a Fiat 500. Within 5 minutes of hanging up the phone with her, I found all quality parts online for literally less than 70% of the price she was charging me for each part.I paid $305.55 for all A/C parts - and found a very friendly mechanic less than 6 miles down the street who said he would install all the parts for the A/C, an A/C Recharge and Freon for $401.20. I allowed Terrace Auto Repair to move forward with the window regulator labor, oil change and paid their diagnostics fee which cost $243.00. I saved approximately $800.00 by choosing another mechanic.And perhaps the most troubling issue of all, was that after I picked my vehicle up from Terrace Auto Repair, my odometer would not stop flashing and none of my Bluetooth devices would connect to my car anymore (it was fine before taking it in). I asked the new mechanic to see if he could fix it or perhaps figure out what happened - to which he was unsuccessful. I called Terrace Auto Repair back and Karen stated, Look at it like this - when your A/C went out you werent expecting to fix that, and now your odometer is flashing you werent expecting to have to fix that either - What in the hell does that even mean?! After reading other peoples reviews of how reasonable they are with their prices and what quality work they do - I legitimately thought I must be living in the Twilight Zone...Beware..

Karen is a great name for the lady in the office because, its exactly what she is. The lousy mechanics nearly completely destroyed my car and this worthless human being, Karen, tried to turn it around on the customer, me. Back when they were owned by the original owner, they were a decent place now, Napa has purchased them and, they kept on this scab Karen, that works the front desk to lie to long-term customers, like me but, sorry to say the work is not the same. Do yourself a favor and, take your car to South Florida Auto Repair and, see Jerry.

Awesome mechanic, I had my time belt done here. Communication is fantastic, I was impressed that they show you the old parts they removed from the car before they throw them away or you take them with you. The owner and Mrs. Karen are very honest, they care about the customer. I couldnt be happier and I will be back.

Hands down the best mechanic service shop in the area. Theyre super friendly and very knowledgeable. They let you know whats wrong and even gave me options on parts they could use to do the repair. I even was shown the old parts and explained what had gone wrong with them. Shane the owner is great to work with and Karen kept me up to date with everything. AWESOME!!!

They are the best. The woman at the front desk treats me like kin; she is so friendly and helpful. They gave me a quote directly and stuck to it and they even gave me a ride home! Amazing service, amazing work. Ive been a loyal customer for the past three years. Wouldnt go anywhere else in Tampa. Prices on parts were a little expensive but then what shop isnt in Tampa. I wanted to go replacing a bunch of stuff but luckily the mechanic talk some sense into me due to the age of my vehicle. Their mechanics are good and truly honest.

The first thing everyone asks when going to a mechanic is, are they honest and trustworthy? Yes, yes they are at this place. Went in with an A.C. nightmare issue and they helped me out. They gave me a few hours free shop time, didnt charge me the inspection fee, and then made some hard recommendations which they then proceeded to tell me would be cheaper if I took it to another specific location. Ive never heard of a place that puts the customer first before their own profit. Im glad I found this place because I will always go here when I need work done on my cars and will also always refer to my friends.

I brought my car here and my husbands for our Geico Insurance Inspections. When I called to see what information I needed to bring in for the inspection, Karen, could not have been sweeter or more helpful on the phone. I actually found myself hoping she would be there when I brought our cars in because she was that kind and warm. The inspections went quickly the two days I was there, and Karen of course was just as wonderful in person as she was over the phone. She gave me additional tips on following up with our insurance company to make sure they received everything they needed. Although, I only was at this location for an insurance inspection, I will absolutely be returning for future needs for our cars because of Karen. It was so refreshing being treated so well by someone in customer service and it was truly appreciated! We are fairly new to town and will be looking forward to doing business here in the future.
