Place is okay, but there seem to be better options for the price. Gym isnt 24 hours, so no use in getting it since you cant go any time you would like. Laundry hours are supposed to close at 8p. But the times are not consistent. Some times itll be closed at 7 sometimes at 7:30. Had to have 6 or 7 work orders entered for the toilet not flushing well, and still doesnt flush that well. Just ended giving up on it flushing properly, and the dishwasher doesnt clean the dishes very well either. Always a film left on them. Not the worst place, but there are probably better options for the price. On the upside, Lamar is excellent and always extremely helpful.

I first will like to give a tremendous thank you to one of the leasing office members by the name Lamar. The professionalism and work ethics that was given brings such quality and efficiency to this company. I say that to say I know that this company would continue to progress with him on the team. I remember first reaching out inquiring about a 2 bedroom for myself and my family and was stressed because I needed something quick and it did not take too long with the process from start to finish. The duration of the process I was still given that assurance that everything will be taken care of. I was assured that Windwood Oaks would be a great fit, and it sure is. I endured the feeling of being safe and welcomed as I moved in. The quality is top score and the entire staff to the maintenance to the overall office staff gives such great vibes. I would definitely Recommend to others as I already have.

I really do love my apartment and the WHOLE team at Windwood Oaks Apartments, you guys I was so scared this morning over a work order that had to be placed, they came right out when they start work which was in a timely manor, he was so awesome and took care of the leak, my kitchen banister lighting and then they had Ruth come and clean up, I couldn’t be more grateful for her help, thank you so much for everything you do! I have been treated more than fairly with help, thank you Windwood Oaks Team for all that you do ❤️

I would not recommend these apartments! They are seriously outdated! Cabinets old and moldy, a/c units are over 20 years old. Rotting wood on staircase and balcony. These apartments need a serious overhaul! Also if you are late you will be charged a $135 late fee and on top of that a $75 fee for requesting a “Promise to Pay” contract! Ridiculous as if you just decided you didn’t want to pay rent they add $200 in fees making it more difficult to pay rent. Parking lots are always trashed and the actual trash is always overflowing. So many other apartments in Tampa that are better. Oh and Gym is literally a tiny room with maybe 4 machines that never work. The pools are always green. My advice: RUN!!!

On Oct. 8 I went to tour an apartment, and the next day submitted an application, and also emailed my stubs and ID card. I received a call from Lamar Moore the next day stating the apartment I initially selected would not be ready for 10/22, my desired move in date, and he then offer 2 other options. I selected a second floor.On 10/15, I received an email asking me for my stubs and copies of IDs, again. I forwarded my previous email and provided an extra document I was asked for. *****On 10/15 MY CO-APPLICANT AND I WERE BOTH CHARGED Application AND Administration fee of $117.50****. On 10/16 I asked to get an estimate of the application process and was told they were waiting for employment verification. On 10/20 I inquired about the status and was told by Lamar Moore that they were waiting on employment verification still, granted I answer the phones at work and the office is small, so I would have known if they did try to verify my employment, I still checked w HR and my supervisor, my supervisor stated that 5 minutes before my inquiry, Windwood Oaks called to get a fax to send a form for verification, which the HR department sent back within 2 hours of receipt. On 10/21 I was told by Mr. Moore the document had been submitted to whoevers he works with, because I never heard from anyone else.I must mention all this communication is via email, I have all the emails and call logs that show I was usually emailed or called 10 minutes before closing each time. So on 10/23 I called back to back and left messages until I finally got a call back, I was asked to provide an extra document to avoid a 1st renters fee, AND Mr. Moore also asked me if he could send a document to the manager of where I live for them to fill out, after I wonder why he would ask me and not do the screening himself, like I was charged for them to do, I of course got the document and we then coordinated on the phone for me to be there at 10 the next day. I called the next day, 10/25, 3 times before my call was answered and I was able to meet Mr. Moore to provide the last document after 11:30. I expressed my concern multiple times, and stated I had to move out by 11/1 and I really needed to know if I should look elsewhere. I was told no, you will not be declined, I am off Monday 10/27, but on Tuesday I will call. I asked him to confirm he would and he did. I ASKED HIM IF I COULD START PACKING AND THIS LIAR SAID YES!!! 10/28, 5 p.m. comes by and no call or email from Mr. Moore or anyone at Windwood Oaks. It is 10/28, and still nothing.So basically my money was taken, he lied and lied, and I am out of my money. I am now paying else where to process an application, which I was told I would hear back from, no later than 11/1.If you are going to apply here, be aware that they take your money and may or may not process your application in a timely manner. All they have cause me is unnecessary stress for something they could have been honest about, but lets use the pandemic as an excuse.... My 1st time leasing, with all the qualification....

Ive only lived here for 3 months and my ac has broke each month. Not to mention when i moved in they somehow forgot to tell me the ac was broken. Ive been in 90 degree heat for 3 going on 4 days now. Maintenance gives NO updates. I have a 11 month old who has eczema and the heat is not helping. I cant cook cant wash clothes because it will make it hot. My electric bill was almost $300 dollars last month which Im suspecting is from the messed up ac. In Florida heat this is not acceptable I pay my rent on time everything should be in working order. Would not recommend these apartments!!!!

New here and the place is excellent. Liz moves Mountains to please everyone. Pam and the rest of the staff are just as amazing. Very nice to be here. I cant say enough good things about Liz. A truly amazing wonderful woman. Thanks to all of you for the kind assistance in processing my move in.

I am new here renting (just 3 days), I did the inspection and I showed all pictures of everything that needs to be fixed. The floor carpet is old, has a square patch cut and covered with a different carpet and stinks, the wood floor in the kitchen is nasty and uneven, I ask to be moved to another apartment and she sent a guy that works there to told me that she’s not going to transfer us. The apartment (all what you pay in rent and fees) isn’t worth it!I didn’t recommend to lived here, worst place ever ! Its sad because when you are about to move in you are treated one way and then does not important!And another last thing, they charge monthly for a service that you never received, pest control, a visit that I never received in the 7 months living there. For more worst, all the apartment is full of mold, and bugs...

Management takes the time to talk to use personally to help in anyway possible. Even in these hard times I’ve felt heard and helped.

I have lived here for over 20 years and absolutely love it . The office staff is very kind and helpful. This complex is the cleanest Ive ever seen and they continue to make improvements every chance they get. The maintenance crew is excellent and very prompt. The most recent office manager, Irena, goes out of her way to make sure all of your needs are met. ...along with the other office personnel. The complex itself is beautiful and very quiet. Its awesome here !

So far so good. Im happy here. Place is clean and maintenance takes care of things that need to be fixed, no bug problems which is nice. Ladies in the office are very nice. Asia and Kim are great and have helped make my move here easy and stress free. Thanks Windwood.

We had been looking so long for a suitable apartment, and as soon as we were beginning to lose hope, we found Windwood Oaks Apartment. At the door we were greeted by excellent hospitality and complimentary refreshments. Ms.Kim, our guide was such a delight! The neighborhood In a whole is beautiful and very inviting. The Apartment itself is amazing.

January of 2019 I broke my lease. Told management we are leaving at the end of the month. We moved out as promised. February 2nd the manager with the English accent filed eviction. She later then quit. A year later we applied for an apartment and was told about the eviction. Called and went to windows oaks. Liz the tall Spanish gazelle told us she would call us once she finds our paperwork. She never did. On the 24th of this month 2020 their attorney dismissed the case after we wrote a letter to the judge about the case because it was still open and the last action on the case was in February of 2019. So what does that tell you? Management did not know about the eviction because that British lady filed for eviction spitefully . I do NOT recommend anyone rent from this place.

My husband and I were interested in renting an apartment, and the staff was very helpful in providing current rates. I was able to tour the model at a time that was convenient for me, and Liz, the leasing consultant, was always quick to answer any questions I had. The area was clean and everyone outside was friendly. While we decided not to move, I have nothing but great things to say about Windwood Oaks Apartments!

Ive lived here for 2yrs now and this is such an amazing property. The management is very understanding and they are solely interested on making sure your needs are always met. Maintenance staff is always prompt with maintenance requests, which I feel is very important. Id highly recommend them to any singles or families looking for a quiet place to call home.

I moved to Windwood Oaks Apartments about 3 month ago and let me tell you... the reason I chose this complex over all other I shopped is the customer service. The leasing office staff is super nice, very helpful and knowledgeable. The clubhouse is amazing with these huge windows overlooking the pond, they even have Wine Tastings and Christmas dinners!! I love those. Also, they are so hands on, their maintenance team is great, too. I would recommend this property.

Every apartment has its shares of bad reviews along with good ones. I have lived in upscale apartments, average, etc. When I make a decision to live somewhere I must feel the energy and vibes of the place. I must say I was first impressed by the generosity and professionalism I received from the staff. Liz was my very first contact there and made me feel so comfortable working with her. I have been here for almost a year in my 1 bedroom apt and I absolutely love the space Im in. I have had no problems with bugs and all maintenance requests I have submitted (only 2) was fixed in a matter of days. I will be renewing my lease here in Feb 2018.

I have been living here since May and although I have heard of bad experiences I for one have not had any. I call if anything needs to be repaired and it’s done on the same day and that’s thanks to the best on site maintenance man AJ!! Thanks to miss Liz and miss Courtney I love my place!!!

This is my 3rd year living here and I can honestly say that I have never had a problem with anything since I have been here. Yeah the staff has changed since my time but they still have that consistency of being a caring staff. Very accommodating and understanding. Even though I usually miss them because I am at work, they do offer plenty of events in the clubhouse.

This place does not deserve 1 star but that is the lowest rating google ratings will allow. I have been here for 2 1/2 years and will be moving soon! The management is changed (fired) every 6 to 8 months by the very uninvolved out of state owners who have not treated this place as an investment for more than 10 to 15 years. Nothing gets fixed here, and there are mold, termite and a/c problems. Also there is plenty of structural damage if you care to come take a look even outside of many of the buildings. The insides are much worse. Besides leaky and moldy a/c vents and systems, many of the ceilings have water damage and their idea of fixing it is to paint over the area where the water is leaking from. The paint jobs in the interiors were done without a proper paint prep so there is much dust and old dirt stuck to/in the paint and they even completely painted over the fire alarms which by the way is against fire code but the local fire departments look the other way... The sealing or I should say lack of sealing at doors, windows and walls at the carpet level is beyond sad. The outside bugs get in pretty easily. We waste so much money on our electric bill since this place does not cool well in the summer or heat well in the winter month, again, bad to no sealing where weather striping should be.What they charge for rent is about $400 too high compared to the low quality of what is offered. You can find a very nice condo in Tampa Palms for cheaper than what the rent is here in this dump...

I enjoy living here at Windwood Oaks. I love the layout of my apartment.Paint and Sip this pass weekend was awesone. Brad from Shout Atl was great and Space who showed us all how to do a lil something on canvas..was the best. It was nice to meet my neighbors as well.

This place is horrible, they overcharge, maintenance is slow, management take weeks to get back to you. I’ve been trying to complain to them about a leak they didn’t wanna listen to me so the leak end up getting into my floorboards and flooding the floor. My garbage disposal leaks, Pest control isn’t effective, appliances are outdated .They want to charge $135 for late fee on top of that an extra $50 if you wanna do a promise to pay ! If don’t have my rent how would you expect me to have an extra $135 to pay you on top of what I already cannot pay, And they only give you to the third to pay your rent! Do not waste your money or your time paying almost $1000 a month for 650 square-foot apartment!!!

Ive lived here for a year now, in 3 different units (Two 1bdrms and one 2bdrm). They have made each transition almost seamless. Liz and Cierra have been great, as well as a new, very friendly, maintenance man.We also have a security guard on the premises now, which allows for facilities to remain open later. It would be nice if they would extend the hours even further to 10pm.

WARNING !!! DONT FALL FOR THEIR TRICKS!!! This place became a DUMP due to the manager IRENA lacks on focus on things that really matter, there are drug syringes in the parking lot every few days great if you have kids, and a lot of crime in the area, two people were murdered here last year, and I personally witness police chasing criminals, there is also garbage everywhere and broken furniture left in front of the apartments left for weeks, the maintenance people dont do their jobs it takes them 1 to 2 months to fix something that yourself could have fixed in less than 30 min.Nothing is like you see in the pictures anymore, there is no pond it is completely dried out do to no fixing the pump for 6 months, DO NOT RENT FROM HERE

I love the treatment that i received from Ms Kimberly Wall. She helped me and my family get into an apartment with no problem. I love the fact that they have events for us here at windwood oaks for example movie nights and pizza. They offer many things here. Ms Kimberly is very helpful. I had an issue with my apartment and maintenance was here to fix it. Thanks to Ms Kimberly. Thank you windwood oaks.

Place is way over priced!! 1200$ + for small two room apt !! Late fee for rent is $130 extra. Gym is extra and I never did see the on site golf center !! I do not recommend

I current live here and the staff never picks up the phone, ive had multiple issues with the same reasons and have had to literally go to the office just for them to do their damn jobs and they are overpriced. Before moving in they never had a model to show before we moved in and they have certain rules and regulations when it comes to the ground keeping before they even consider to come out and do their job.

I feel sorry for whom ever has to call this place home. Far from a home !!This community cares nothing for its residents and to tell you why is what I plan to do. If you do not park your vehicle where they see fit the will not ask you politely to move your vehicle they just get their contracted predatory towing company (Split Second towing ) and what a wonderful establishment this is as well, NOT, to tow your vehicle right from in front of where your unit is . They also will not provide proof of why they had your vehicle towed and which makes this all the more vengeful, underhanded, and just down right wrong. My daughter is only 20 yrs old and they would rather her walk at night across a community where there have been multiple stabbings, shootings and robberies, look them up for yourself, than to park in a space that is the closest to her unit this really shows how they care for their residents. Why on earth would anyone want to live where the management is just as much against you as the surrounding are this community is located in. Borderline Ghetto !!!! and by the way you have to click a star to even post a review how pathetic is that . I dont even given you one star .

If you wanna find used syringes on the grass while you walk your dog then this is the place for you!!! Don’t waste your $928 just to live here in a 1 bedroom unit. Late fees are high as well, I use to do security for this complex and they have a bad reputation for hookers and drug problems. If you walk your dog in the back by the dumpster, chances are you’ll see used condoms on the ground because that’s where the hookers come at night and do there business in cars. Mostly has become section 8 Housing so get use to that aspect. Otherwise, it’s not a great place to live, multiple car break ins, ambulance on site due to drug overdoses, duck poop everywhere... so spend your money elsewhere.

5 stars for Liz and the new lady with the blonde hair.1 star for Pam and the new property manager.Courtney the last manager was amazing she gave up as some of the residents just didnt know how to act civilized.Nice quiet community like other places it has its ups and downs.Only issues are that maintance is slow however i never had to wait long for any of my issues. I think people dont understand that certain issues require a contractor and a quote befor work can be done.The amenties arent best as the pools are always clean. but there are lots of events for the community.People drive way too fast so its hard for kids to have an area to ride bikes and play.

They are good at fixing stuff fast and offer different events daily out here for the residents.

I just moved in and its beautiful I love the space the area and people I plan on being here for a while 👍👍👍👍

I really don’t feel like typing up a book on this place because it is so much to say about it! I tried to give it a chance but if you pay your rent every month on time, you would think when their is an issue needing to be fixed it would get done in a timely manner. Not when u have to wait two to four weeks later! I have contacted the office regarding my patio door glass is off track therefore it’s exposed! Right now it’s 45 degrees out but yet my apt is exposed to cold raining weather and it’s been exposed for two weeks going on Friday which is in two days. I spoke with one of the maintenance guys they acted as if they were going to get right on it. Yet not a soul has been out to fix this matter! It’s always something needing to be fixed every month it’s raggedy only thing new is the new wooden flooring! If you don’t like pest such as ants or any other creature roaming in your place this isn’t a great fit along with the pipe leaks etc master bedroom closet smell of mildew due to water damage in the past it runs thru the closet can’t use that closet for clothing to be hung! Overall this has been the worst stay we had EVER! Get your affairs in order if you have bad rental history or credit that’s the advantage for them! These raggedy apts is a disadvantage for you if you reside here!Ps: please don’t reply with your office number and about you hate to hear that we are dissatisfied, if that was the case, we will have the issues resolved within 3 days tops. No need for further discussion when it’s been discussed.

1200 for 2 bedroom... They play the part of being professional but not so much. Preferred employer incentive overshadowed by their section 8 status and exploitative mentality.Long lists of repairs, outsources major repairs done by family members or friends of current employees and the extended repair times makes this place BEYOND HOOD ... I am an African-American woman... When I say hood I am NOT referring to other people of color or even the many pale that live on property.. as in tenants, I am referring to employees and property MGMT that believe they are Tiffanys when they are k-mart at Best simply by their ability and audacity to mistreat paying non-section 8 tenants.There has been speculation about legality of proper permits and true licensed contractors... But Im just sippin my teas as the others that brought that possiblity to my attention decided to do. Every weekend there is a moving truck... Many are counting down the seconds til release from their CONtract... It is what it is but thank God there are far better and just as affordable apartments and home rentals in the area.Tip: Do not be from out of town, desperate and not know the area well... drive the complex and always ask as many tenants as you see in parking lot. Drive different times of day. Dont worry the gates are for show... never locked ...in fact quite broken and no intention of repairing. PAY ATTENTION more to the negative reviews...many of the staff live on property so dont expect all the positive reviews to be legit. Just saying.

If I could give it no stars I would. Horrible place to live. Mold, leaks, fleas and termite infestation. Took my whole deposit to fix the rugs that were left the way I first got them. Property manager is a rude woman and discriminates on age. If you need something as simple as a door hinge fixed it takes 3 months. Super dirty place definitely not worth the money. A/C never worked properly. Mold in the closet and hallway. leaks from the roof which they replaced a few months back. Roaches everywhere and termites on the outside and they charge us on rent for pest control. kitchen cabinets falling apart and closet doors. Btw they dont do walk arounds when you turn in the keys they do it with out you and charge you for things they want to improve for the next person. They dont care at all about their tenants.

I told them i was gonna be late on rent they want to file an eviction on the 10th and I Get Paid On The 12th. They Do not try to help you and wants to charges me attorneys fees for my evictions after i pay my full rent ranging over 200 when the total rent is 1032. Please Dont Waste Your Hard Earn Money Here They Will Rape You For Every Dollar You Have!!!!

Ok, so THE ONLY reason Im giving four stars and not five is because of the slow moving upgrades. The old style leaves a bit to be desired, but Ive made simple, inexpensive tweaks that make the old cabinetry really unnoticeable. The reason I give them four stars is because they do care about the residents and that is not a common quality of many other apartment complex staff. My dog ran away once and it was a maintenance crew member who helped catch her. When I couldnt attend a doggie event at the club house, the manager personally came to my home to give my dog her goodie bag. When hurricane Irma hit they updated us and were advocates for their residents when TECO was not helpful. TECO said no power for over a week and because of the staff calling them and making it a priorty, we were able to get power back days earlier than TECO promised. Aja, Irina, Liz and Kim are the kinds of folks you want on your side. Things happen and challenges have to be addressed, but even with those stresses, this staff still has a postivie attitude, theybkeep you updated, produce reasonable solutions and I am glad Im staying here until Im ready to purchase my own home!

I used to work there. Almost every apartment in there has mold either behind the drywall or behind the baseboards. That place is a dump. The whole time I lived there, there was mold related issues.

My most recent experience Ill describe as very disappointing, I frankly dont recommend this place to live, amber who is the most recent accessory here as manager,try her best effort to be smart,but she cant no even touch her nose before she break her finger nail.In other word she is not efficient with what ever she is doing, she follow the rules from the assi. manager anthony and what ever he said is what she does.they dont fix here nothing,and when I say nothing is exactly that,the gym is totally destroy,but they included that in the amenities,but they dont included the 10 st cats that they have spreading diseases,fleas and ticks all over the inside of the complex apartment and in front of ours doors,right?, Their attitude is vulgar and racist with some tenant by their nationality.The reputation from this place all ready is touching the mud of the floor . You want to know if ill recommend this place to live, I will need one day to let you know what type of people is in charge as manger/assi. manager in that office so you can jugde by your self, before you make any move.

This place is full of cockroaches, but hundreds of cockroaches, and my neighbors tell me that theirs is full too. Me and communicated with these people, the office several times and have not done anything, I have 2 babies and can not be without shoes so many out there. Its sad because when you are about to move out you are treated one way and then does not importas, the bathroom door is damaged does not close it falls and they know what for 6 months and do not care. I ask them not to move out here, the treatment is appalling that a blind eye is made, the apartments are old the balcony is full of insects and wood is rotten falls to pieces, stove and refrigerator are old, the air does not cool as it should, pay much electricity for that reason. mailboxes open without keys, making so I take orders and purchased online. if your neighbor smokes all the smell comes to your apartment, the pool is dirty, and gone with my children and crying and had to leave that is not able to get them. finally .. . no move to WINDWOOD OAKS.

ZERO STARS.....Think about it before deciding to move there I cansele contract 3 months of many insects and cockroaches. That place is awful even killed one person there. when I lived there opened strange movements as selling illegal things. It is unfortunate that the other neighbors were nice people. the manager is a rude, do not care about you or your welfare in these apartments everything is old and not fix anything. I think other people like that place is not fit to live. not renting at that place !!!!

Beware, this community is placing many ads on Craigslist and stating they accept evictions over 24 months old. The leasing office staff Kim, Liz, Asia and property manager will tell you that YES, with everything provided you will be approved. But as quote Asia stated as representative for the owner, they can (after collecting $149) change the requirements. So they will do anything to take your money and then turn around and tell you something else. Liars, termites, mold, patched up water damage and roaches

Older, kind of musty apartments. Its cheap but you get what you pay for.

Stupidity trying to increase rent during lease

The manager is a huge liar and will say wheatever u want to hear to trap u so she can make her commission this place is awful

Been living here for a little over 2 years. My experience here has been really good. I was looking for a nice quite place an Im happy that I found it here. Everyone in the office is kind an professional. Maintenance is good an quick to respond to fix any issue needed to be fixed.
