I moved to Newport April 2007 and I love it. The girls in the office are always nice and helpful. They have great parties too, like bingo. We just had that and it was so fun. They always answer my questions. Maintenance is fast and fix anything I ask. I live in a two bedroom and it is huge. Newport is the best Tampa has. All my neighbors are friendly. I love it so much that is why I lived here so long.
These apartments are not worth the money you are charged. Borderline section 8 worth no more than $650 I am not sure why there are no renovations happening from the inside out. The cabinets are old, the appliances are old literally falling apart(as seen in the pictures) the walls are old, even the surface you stand on is old and squeaky for that matter. Living in the unit you can tell nothing has been done to better the situation tenant after tenant. On the first day of move in we find out our apartment was not ready and there was a roach infestation our uhaul was literally outside!! my family was put out to the business stay area(not sure what its called) for about 2 weeks, when finally in the unit we noticed how difficult the cabinets were to open and then it wouldnt close maintenance was called and responded a few days later came in a tapped some screws in and said that the cabinets will be switched out but that never happened so cabinets still dangle till this day and it has been 5 months. The outlets have been dangling from the walls since we first moved in and let me not forget to mention the rat droppings outside of our apartment and the scratching and squeaking of rats or some kind of animals behind the walls of our unit. After complete disappointment my family endured we cannot wait till the lease is up so we can run far far away! Talking to these people about anything is literally a waste of time. And theyll explain how there is pest control available (doesnt work) that if you call they will do what they can to help the situation (but in reality they dont) We are doing our part like paying rent and having to deal with these below average situations is extremely frustrating. This place NEEDS NEW MANAGEMENT! Please dont waste your money!
The Newport Apt is a great place to call home! The community is centrally located from mid to west end of Tampa bay. Close to shopping & park attraction. Plus not only get more room for your money, but is rounded up by attention that is given to their patrons in customer service!!! All of this make a big difference!!
Ive lived here for three years and have only positive things to say about the leasing and maintenance staff. The maintenance team is responsive and friendly and answers calls all hours of the night. I hope they get OT because they work very hard. The past half year has been extremely stressful given the COVID pandemic, and the leasing staff has been fantastic. They are friendly and responsive, and have made things much easier. My apartment is clean and pest free, and Im 100% satisfied with what I get for my money.
At first glance, the price is great for the location and very convenient... with that being said all is great until issues or maintenance requests. The way tenants are talked to and treated is astonishing. Who the world not only hired Alicia as a manager, but maintain her as one ! I think that speaks volumes on adara communities for not only continuing to allow her to treat residents and I’m quite sure her staff in this manner. For also not staying on top of the complex .It all began with all the light bulbs in every room burning it ( due to electrical). That took a couple requests and calls. I never had so many light bulb issues in my life. I was first told it was due to lightning in the area .. really it was due to exposed wires out side. Not properly with a covered. Then, the stove that should have been replaced prior to us moving in, again several requests and phone calls. Then, the water heater. Same. Then the porch light, again several calls and requests . I noticed so many flicking and dark porches . Then squirrels through the wall. A non effective, water downed pest control. The ant problem is ridiculous. Lastly the a/c, missing free on but they were finally able to call someone from another neighboring community to come put in the missing free on . They have only ever had one reliable maintenance staff, and they are down to just the one for the whole community . The office manager talks to residents as if they are her employees. The tennis court by the pool needs major up keep, and fence repair. The up keep of the grounds in general with time you see the lack of care . Needless to say, I have had so many issues I am sure I’m leaving out some things. We renewed and are counting down the days until this renewal is up. Renter Beware!!!!!!! **Update 1/5/21 - As to be expected, spoke with Mariam Flores who passes as calling on behalf of corporate, but is actually the regional manager, which now makes total complete sense based off the conversation had!!!! As with any company, the problem starts at the top. Employees know what they can get away with, which explains the continued and allowed behavior. Many residents will come and go and it will just continue. Reading all the previous bad reviews where complete accurate and shared experience. Just make sure when renting you are aware. Save yourself the headache and un-necessary stress. At the end of the day no one is living rent free, that is your hard earned money and you want to live in a community that respects and considers there residents, and this is not it.
I have lived here over 3 years. I like my apartment. There is no carpet and it is big. Rent is cheap and we have a nice pool. Maintenance is ok and fixed anything I needed. The office always calls to make sure everything was done.
As a VETERAN, I AM disgusted with the Service and cleanliness / preparedness of my Apartment .I moved in JAN 2021:Day 1: cockroaches crawling in the kitchen cupboards everywhereI have now had their “pest control here for the 5th time - it’s now 4 months later - still dealing with roaches -The office is rude - told me I had to pay a transfer fee of 350 for a unit they rented to me that was roach infested -The laundry card machine is only Avail 9-5 Mmaking it inconvenientJust appalled at this pointDO NOT RENT HERE
So happy and satisfied here, the office staff is incredible always helpful, always friendly, always informed, best complexes ever to live in . Amazing staff
Maintenance is responsive and thorough. They always go above and beyond when they repair anything in my apartment. The office staff also does their best to communicate and work through any concerns that arise. They sent me a birthday card for my birthday month which was super cute. People are often quick to complain and not point out the good and this community is doing a lot of things well. The leasing consultant took her time showing me the apartments she thought I would love and is always kind when I come into the office. I’m glad I signed here and look forward to coming home each day.
Ali is the best leasing consultant i have ever experienced. she is very detailed and helpful with every request i asked. She is top notch. new port is a very quiet community, neighbors are friendly. i feel like i live with family here. i love this Place
These are the worse apartments ever! Totally not worth the money. The leasing consultant Dayanis and property manager Alicia are extremely rude & disrespectful. They raised my moms rent in the middle of the pandemic with only 9 days notice and are now forcing her to pay the new amount, Florida law requires 15 days. we have emailed them and tried to contact corporate and have gotten no resolve. When you call to speak to the property manager Dayanis lies and says the property manager is in meetings. Even if you call all day how is someone on a conference call all day? Alicia doesn’t return emails and she is completely disrespectful threatening to evict my mom in the middle of a pandemic.
Wish I could give a one star! From not fixing work orders and leaving stuff broken. To the disrespectful leasing office staff Dayanis and Alicia to be exact! Do not rent at Newport Apartments
I have been here since 1989 always have great satisfaction when i come into the office. I love my neighbors and the office. I have been Santa Claus here for many many years and I am happy to do it for these people. anytime i need something fixed they come right away even when it is late at night. i am proud of my home
INFESTED WITH BUGS. Around the beginning of May my girlfriend and I started to notice that an unbelievable of cockroaches were coming out in our kitchen. As any normal person we got raid and roach traps but nothing had changed over the course of a week. Saturday: About a week after that we come home to bugs SWARMING our bedroom. Taking a closer look before running out of the building we discovered that they were TERMITES. We contact management and tell them this is a serious problem that needs to be taken care of.Sunday: They send out a maintenance person to check out the situation. (They never write up a work order for it.)Monday: I call the office at 9am, no one has called pest control, no one has done anything.Pest control doesnt come out until Thursday, meanwhile we are not able to sleep in the apartment. I ask management to prorate the rent for us but they refuse. I talk with the Regional manager and she says there is nothing that can be done for us.We then become frustrated because the staff is taking their sweet time treating our apartment. We address our concerns to them and they laugh at us like its some joke that there are bugs where I lay my head at night.Friday: Pest control comes to spray for only the termites. They drilled into the wall and filled gaps in the wall with termite killer. 2 days goes by and the termites have burrowed through the seals pest control put in.We decide we are going to move out. In the midst of me taking plastic totes out of our storage closet on the balcony, I notice small black pebbles everywhere. I quickly gather that this is mouse poop which to me is another level of nasty. In the lease agreement it states that we are not to have cardboard in the storage to prevent for mice. So we took the necessary actions on our end to prevent mice. I try to show management this and they wont even step outside where the poop is, they just stare at us blankly.Fun fact you pay every month for pest control to come out to the complex but not for prevention only for treatment. As we found out in our case the treatment isnt actually treatment, it was just a temporary fix. These buildings look nice on the outside but they are terrible on the inside. We spoke to a pest control worker and he said it is highly unlikely that this company will take care of this. You can do small treatments but the roaches will be back in a week and the termites could have separate colonies in different walls so we wont know if we got them all. This staff managed by Alicia is highly unprofessional and do not care about the people who live in these apartments or their well being. We feel violated, defeated, and just plainly disrespected by this company.READ YOUR LEASE PEOPLE.
Alicia is hands down the worst manager Newport has had in the two years I lived here. A complete scam so be aware!!
First thing is the exceptional service. Any service call immediate attention. Friendly service and office staff. I have lived here for 7 years. I am so happy!
I’m very happy with the way I was treated when I came in looking for an apt. Dayani was great at helping me find the right apartment and personally showed me several apartments to make sure I was pleased with my pick. She was very patient with me and bilingual so my mom was able to understand everything as well.
I feel QUOTE SCAMMED/BAIT AND SWITCHEDI was all ready to put $ down on an apartment, until I felt quote scammed. Let me describe it to you since the picture changed before I took a screenshot. I called and asked for a 7mo lease quote. Rather than give it to me over the phone, the Hindu sounding woman got my email and said she would send it. The site showed a big square on the left that showed $875 for 7 months w/a 72hr countdown. I called to check if that was right. All of a sudden nobody was answering. Since I had the apartment number, I figured I would look and grab it.. so I drove across town in the rain even though I questioned if that was a good idea. I get there and they tell me they cant do less than a 9mo lease, and they had to call their IT team to change that quote, which is of course higher now.btw, if you believe in luck factor, it looks like many, many cars in the lot means that theres a lot of unemployed people here.
I can’t even express how much I hate these apartments. Let me just list what I’ve dealt with in one year:1. Mold2. Cockroaches3. Bats4. Snake in my apartment!5. Shoddy craftsmanship6. Leaks!!!!!!!!!I am so extremely tired of dealing with this mess. I implore you, if you are thinking of moving into these apartments, PLEASE for the love of all things good in this world DON’T Do it. Please. Please.
Experience overall after living there 3 yrs was fairly pleasant. I can relate to the electric sockets needing improvements and maybe updates throughout the complex but for the most part it was peaceful and quiet. Honestly if they upgraded the actual buildings exterior I would gladly move back. Hands down Tara and staff (including maintenance) are awesome!!!
I have never had any issues while living at Newport Apartments, sadly I cant say the same for other apartments in the area, I am writing this review to make everyone in the area aware of our hidden Gem. Newport Apartments has competitive pricing, an awesome attentive staff, and overall exceeded my expectations. I feel very happy to have found these apartments while browsing online, and am so glad I did not conform to the subpar customer service i was receiving at the other apartment homes, I am glad I did not renew my old contract and actually took the time to go out and speak to the leasing staff at Newport. I have been a resident for 8 months and it has been very nice. I remember the day I went into the office the leasing agent was out showing an apartment, and the manager and assistant both greeted me and were very attentive. I made the right choice by moving here, and I hope my review helps someone in doubt.5 *****
I love living at Newport . We lived in a one bedroom and decided to renew our lease into a bigger one bedroom . Weve never had any problems with pests or noisy neighbors . In fact we never hear any noise around us in both apartments that we lived in . Very thankful that there arent any noisy or messy neighbors around us . The people at the office are very attentive to our needs and do there best to make living here a great experience. Really love living here !
Great place to live, I have been hear for several years and the Property Manager, Terra and staff are awesome. Maintenance is fast and improvements have been made throughout the complex. Quiet complex compared to others in the area. A+ in my books..
I have been a resident for years and I just renewed my lease again I love this place. Office staff and maintenance are great, I recommend moving to this apartments.
It’s a roof over my head. Nice pool, ceiling fan and walk in closet. I’ve been here for two years and that’s about the best I can say SADLY!
I lived here for 2 years, and I can definitely call this place My home, specially after my horrible car accident. Management and maintenance members were like family to me all this time, helping me with everything to make my life easier. Thank you, guys!!!.
Ive lived in Newport Apartments for nineteen months and, since I work from home, I spend a lot of time in my apartment. So it is with some experience that I say this is a good place to live. The neighborhood is relatively quiet, the apartments are in decent condition, and the office staff is (mostly) friendly and helpful. Angel is an especially nice guy and always greets me warmly when I visit the office. The only criticism Ive seen in the other reviews here that I can agree with is the power outlets being so loose that plugs fall out. This is a relatively minor annoyance and I thought it was just my apartment until I saw someone else mention it.
I am so happy to live at these apartments, they are so clean and everyone in the office is super nice all the time. I appreciate there kindness.
First moved in November of 2014 place smelled like cigs and cat piss even tho they cleaned the carpet and painted the walls. Rent was high 832 per month for 1 bedroom. My area was pretty quiet besides all the dogs around us. Never went swimming due to rude ass people. Ill always remember this place and never forget how crappy and old this place was for the price.
Ive been here 5 months & its safe, quiet & peaceful. Theres a few things that need an upgrade - My AC for instance, but other than that I have no complaints & My neighbors are great!!!
Second time in 1 month that my faucet is leaking! First time it took 6 days to get them in here to work on it. Still not fixed and now it has been 7 more days of hot water going down the drain and costing me money. This is uncalled for!!! This used to be a great place to rent but something is going on here lately and it is not good!!
Where to begin, Alicia and Dayani, from the office have answered everyone of my questions at any moment i needed assistance. They have even answered my calls minutes before closing when other apartments would ignore you. They are like family at this point, I love my apartment community.
I have lived at other apartments in the past, and than God one of my friends referred me to these apartments, the are amazing every one of my request have been met on time and they have always addressed all of my concerns, specifically the front office girl, Dayani, she is such a sweetheart and even when they have been difficult situations she always found a way. Thank you!
This place has been miserable! The staff is unprofessional and at times even rude! Their maintenance sucks!! They cant seem to keep their office or maintenance staff. They say they are pet friendly but they charged us a $350 non-refundable deposit and $10/month extra on our rent. Then when we moved out they said there were stains on the carpet from the dog so they charge us another $175 plus they keep our deposit!!! How is that pet friendly???I could go on and on about all the problems we had in the past 6 months but I will just leave it alone and will NEVER return or recommend this to anyone!! They do not care about anyone but themselves!!
I honestly could say I never hated something so much as I hate living here. I should have read the reviews before I moved here. Residences is not a number one priority here! I repeat. RESIDENCE IS NOT A NUMBER ONE PRIORITY. I had a live ant hill in my bedroom because the carpet was not secure on the floor, I could lift up the carpet with my hands!!! Disgusting. I constantly tried getting someone to come here but like my statement earlier, they did not fulfill their duties as a company. On top of that I’m having issues with my sink and the front desk said they are sorry and would call the next day to make an appointment. How did that go? Currently still waiting for an answer. So disgusted with this apartment complex and I will continue to speak about what is going on in this complex until things changed. Do not move here not worth paying 1000 for this place.
Staff at Newport Apartments are so helpful and amazing. I really like living here.
I remember one day specifically, I was getting off the bus, and it was raining, and Alicia was leaving the apartments i was with my 3 kids. My car had broken down that day, I was coming back from daycare and she stopped to give us her umbrella, i am so thankful i feel at home.
This was an amazing experience as I was looking for an apartment . The staff is great super friendly, nice and energetic . I definitely will refer people there in the future .
My review after five days of living here:One star because the apartments are very spacious and decent for the price. Decent amenities. Two stars because all of the office and maintenance people I’ve spoken to in person have been very kind and helpful! Three stars because the location is perfect to be further away from the city but close to where ever you need to go.Just moved in on Monday and the apartment was full of dead cockroaches. I work 8-5 so my boyfriend handles all of the calls to the office. The few times I did call during office hours no one picked up the phone. On Monday night I had two live cockroaches in my kitchen, one in my bathroom, one in the guest room and one crawled across me while I was sleeping in the master bedroom. Disgusting. My boyfriend was told to call back Friday for pest control. He called in the morning on Friday and no one picked up (after calling three times.) He called again around 2 and was told we missed the pest control so I’m living with roaches for the next week because no one called back. There are wasps all over the stairway and outside the patio and I’m highly allergic.Valet trash that is required (that you pay an extra charge for) will only pick up “trash bags” so I still get stuck taking my cardboard boxes from the move down to the dumpster which has been full every day I’ve driven past. It’s an annoying mandatory charge but that’s just my personal opinion. Valet trash is a bonus if you’re into that but I don’t understand why they won’t take cardboard boxes.I haven’t used any of the amenities like the laundry center or pool yet, but I love the look of the pool and the dog park seems cute. The apartment was very clean (besides the bugs) on move in. The guest room shower drain was clogged but maintenance was very quick to fix it. The maintenance man I spoke to was very kind and helpful, making sure everything else in the apartment was in working order. 5/5 so far for maintenance.First impressions: decent place to live but old and has a very unappealing pest problem.
I am posting this on behalf of my friend who is a resident. He would not post due to that he does not want any problems with the staff despite that will not accommodate my friend who is a resident. He submitted a work order 2 months ago and has not been resolved. He has many many problems in his apartment and he has a baby in it. Instead of assisting and accommodating my friend they just pushed him to the side, argue with him, and state that they have to give notice in order for any repairs to be done to the unit. I was going to consider this place to live but after speaking with my friend I would actually put effort in deterring people to not reside in this location. You will be better off somewhere else.
This had to be the worst apartment experience Ive ever had and I only stayed there for a couple of weeks. There were holes in the walls throughout the apartment, roaches the size of my foot would crawl through them, there was a daily wake up call by a rooster, duck feces EVERYWHERE, and this overall weird stench. The appliances, floors, and counter were a far cry from the model unit Id viewed. When I told them how unhappy I was with the experience I was told by Allie that I could switch units. And then reassured by Allie the next day that shed talk to management and everything would be fine. Come to find out that everything was not fine, I could not switch my unit, and my lease was non-negotiable. I was blatantly lied to so I broke my lease immediately. Try to call corporate if youd like! Its a google voice number that no one responds to. Stay far, FAR away.
Great place, great attention, i talked to Dayani, she shows me the apartments and gave me a good smile 👌🏻 Love it
Very friendly staff, always willing to help. Very quiet after hours. Moved in with no problems
I wish I could give them NO STARS because I would. DO NOT MOVE IN SERIOUSLY!!!!! all of their apartments are infested with roaches and my room mate and I are really clean people. We told them about this issue and they sent out pest control and the guy was in there for 1 minute and Im not even exaggerating and the issue only got worse. Our rent is fairly expensive and we shouldnt have to deal with that issue. HATED LIVING HERE FOR THAT REASON.
Ive been here for almost 3 years and every year the rent increases 50 dollars. I do not see any really fair reason. The apartment is old and the cabinets are horrible! The space is super small for a very high price!
Maintenance is awesome, no delays at all . Awesome place to live.
Not a great experience due to the quality of the apartments inside and out being below average for the price you pay. There is also a chickens/roosters problem, not sure if the apartment owns them, but they peck at and through all the open trash. The trash is scattered all through and the worst part is multiple roosters cluck extremely loudly from morning to night all days non stop in front of your apt. For someone working as a nurse overnight or anyone, this is horrible. The apartment states they dont know what to do and provide no resolution
Office staff and the maintenance team are very nice and professional, but the maintenance team is severely understaffed or underpaid or both. This is a fairly large complex and I pay $900 a month for a one bedroom apartment which includes valet trash, pest control and water. I have put in many maintenance requests and only a few of them have been completed which I could only image they get overloaded with at this complex. After the first month of living here is when I realized what all was wrong with the apartment. The patio door does not shut, no screens in my windows, there are holes in the screen on the porch, paint is puffed up in various spots around the apartment (to me it looks like previous water damage maintenance said its not, but I find that very hard to believe), when I first moved in the tiles started coming off the wall in the tub (when this was repaired underneath they found a concerning amount of black mold), recently I noticed the smell of mold coming through the pipes and they told me its just the water smelling funny and with a newborn baby I do not want to take any chances and requested that a mold specialist comes out and I was told there is no need for that, the dishwasher does not work very well and sometimes leaks leaving large puddles in the kitchen (which is wonderful to come home to), tiny tears and stains in the carpet when I moved in (I cleaned myself), the carpet comes up in places very easily, the middle knob in my tub constantly fell off and now it has been broken for a week going on two, if your on the side closest to Hillsborough ave it is very noisy until 4 am, I have had someone hit my parked car and came out in the morning to find the damage not much anyone can do about that without a witness, people constantly speed through the parking lot and there are no stop signs in the parking lot, and I could just keep going.. If you looking for something temporary this is a place to go, but it needs some serious remodeling done to all of the buildings.
The best apartaments in Tampa. Great place
The people here are nice and very helpful.
WOULD GIVE 0 STARS IF IT WAS POSSIBLE. Horrible staff, had constant bug problems with ants and roaches invading our kitchen and they told us to BUY OUR OWN BUG TRAPS instead of sending in pest control. We had a 20 year old water heater that CAUGHT ON FIRE and almost KILLED US and they did not even apologize. When they replaced the heater they left all of the burnt pieces in the closet and we could never get the fire smell out of the apartment. They said they do not conduct checks on water heaters at all, so who knows how many more 20 year old water heaters are in the rest of the apartments just waiting to catch on fire. We also had drug dealers living across from us for months and made multiple complaints that were never dealt with, eventually we just got lucky and they abandoned the apartment. All their trash sat outside for 4 MONTHS before the apartment felt like cleaning it up. Then when we finally moved out, we discovered mold under all of the furniture and had to throw away two bookshelves and a desk. It was an absolutely horrible and disgusting experience and I would suggest no one to ever live in these apartments.
Lived there for two years, apartment was decent, move out because main office got broken into and they store a bunch of the renters contracts containing a ton of personal information including SSN. The Complex handle it horribly I was very disappointed and angry, all I got was a note on my door informing me of the robbery, no one contact us personally for nothing. when I went to the office to get more info all I got was it will be alright, you can just sign in into life lock.... Really of course they did not offer to pay for life lock. The entire time I was there they made it look like it was not a big deal. Not feeling confident enough with them we moved out along with most of the residents who were affected.
Quiet, nice, maintanace the worst excluding two people that they tried there best ....office staff need to know that this is not section 8 we paid, very bad treatment the tenants are not priority .... i should put less stars but just because is a nice neighbouhood at least deserved 3
This place does even deserve one star. DONT LIVE HERE. Place is disgusting and dirty. Management says one thing and they do another. When I move out, supposedly they were going to send me an invoice with the balance because I had to move out before my contract was over due to the horrible and disgusting situation i was going there, i lived there for 3 years and they never wanted to replace my carpet, neither offered to clean it. i had termites in the closet, it was just horrendous. These people never sent me an invoice, but sent me to collections, when i always paid them on time and had perfect credit. These people as so unprofessional, they dont follow what they promise and they dont care about their residents. for the kind of place you can rent here, you can rent an apart in a lot better living condition somewhere else. Management and maintenance really SUCK
UPDATE:Well things started off okay at Newport. Unfortunately the few bugs turned into a full on roach infestation. Every time I’d report this, they’d send their bug terminator guy who would essentially do nothing. This became so bad I was no longer able to use the kitchen. My small appliances like coffee pot, toaster etc were completely ruined by roaches, and I had to throw it all away.So then a leak under the sink happened and maintained refused to fix it, as they said the faucet wasn’t the one that came with the apartment. So for months I had to deal with a leaking faucet and buckets of water from under the sink. There’s pretty much no security, and the apartment across from mine had a full group of drug addict squatters living there. It got so bad I had to have home security installed. So the icing on the cake was when I moved out. I was moving out early as I was moving to another state. Office folks said they could find new tenants within 2 weeks, and with that it would pretty much be a clean break up, as they phrased it- meaning I wouldn’t owe anything past that months rent. Well surprise! I’m now in collections with this dump for a grand total I believe around 2k. I’m now 5000 miles away and really can’t do anything about it.Honestly these people put on a good front and really sell you on a song and dance when you move in. They’re super friendly and I’ll give them that, but none the less this is a roach infested dump, maintenance is a joke, and good luck moving out when you’ve finally had enough.——Moved to Newport end of June and my experience so far has been great. I worked with the Property Manager Tara, and she went above and beyond to get me into my 1 bedroom, even with an early move in date. The apartment I moved into was very clean, and had pretty new, nice appliances. Everything was recently painted as well. Havent had any real issues with bugs. Had a few tiny bugs in the kitchen, that was easily resolved with a can of raid. The staff has always been extremely nice to me, they even left a birthday card and candy at my door! Ive never experienced anything like that at any other complex. Another great thing is that your rent includes water, valet trash and pest control. No suprise money charges. No issues with neighbors, or noise. Actually the complex is silent after hours. In my opinion compared to surrounding complexs the rent is reasonable. I guess my only complaint is some areas of the complex look a little run down and could use some tlc, and the complex is not gated. All in all Im extremely happy with my new apartment.
I could go on and on. Let me keep it simple. Do not rent here without firs0t seeing the exact unit prior to providing a deposit. Walk thru the exact unit you will rent and sign lease only after needed repairs are acceptable to you.Addendum 12.5.2016Leak under sink times 2 in last month. Repair guy comes. I had put leftover cooked rice down garbage disposer earlier in day. He said that food could not be put in garbage disposer. So plan for your rent to include payment for appliances you are unable to use.So.....how lame is this? The wall plugs are stretched out? Or just cheap....when I use them for phone charger or to vacumn the cord just falls out. Just now stopped vacumning at least 4 times to re-plug...and yes I tried to adjust cord end. And all sockets are like this. Just sharing what it is like here so people know what to expect....
First off the water is always getting turned off, now without any notice. I have a real job where I need to be able to brush my teeth and shower. They charge almost $800 for a 1 bedroom that has no updates what so ever. The stove i have looks like its from the 80s So they give you the westchase price for that rundown project look. Everything inside is cheaply put together especially cabinets you can tell they half ass fixed before you move in. The walls have patch work that is easily noticeable all over the place. There is no parking for anyone who actually lives here because everyone has their hoodrat friends over so i literally have to park 4 buildings down almost every night. The only good thing i can say about this place is people keep to themselves and arent too loud accept for the teenagers now and again running around in the middle of the parking lot at 1am
Very professional, and I love the place
I am reserving my post at this time for a few more days till I am able to meet with management to discuss the changes unknown to me about my move in. I am a move in from out of town; speaking to the office on many occasions, specifically Dyanni about needing a 2nd Fl Apt with a lakefront. She had one available. Had me goto their website and put application in on another apt with a different address and assured me she would change it bcuz the one she had coming up in time for me wasnt on website yet. WELL, that didnt happen. :(. I know have an apt facing a dumpster. I showed up with my movers on my birthday 8/10 to an apt with many issued that were not paid attention to detail as advertised on their website. Tara is working with me on getting these resolved. Corporate in TX and Mr. Bunger Exec VP is no help either; totally uncooperative and never returned my calls. This complex owes me at least what I originally asked for. It was no fault of mine that you did not write down our communication...That was your fault and totally unprofessional. So So sad to have to write this. I will not church this up. This is a quiet community; but They are not loyal to their guest. June 2017. I have always paid my rent w a two week credit. The office called me 3x to let me know I was late on my payment. I gave them the numbers on the back of the paid ck and all eas back to normal. This 3rd time i told them No and to find their own mistake then i get an evict notice for non payment. They eventual found the payment but wanted late payment fees with their 2nd evict notice. At this point i realized it was time to leave they were breaking my lease. I left EOM and turned in my keys. Residence beware...
I gave over sixty days notice I was moving out. The neighbors were loud, always fighting, and the police had to evacuate several buildings because one of the tenants was threatening his girlfriend with a gun. I moved out, turned in my keys, and the apartment complex is trying to say I owe them money. They claim I renewed my lease. I have filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission against them for fraud and forgery.
