Do not rent through cascade. When I moved in I was supposed to be in one apartment, but when I went to get my key at the time they had told me to be there they told me to come back later. After trying 2 more times, I went out to the property without the key to let myself in (why was it unlocked!?!) and it was completely unfinished. The was paint and mud all over the tile and carpet, the cupboards were literally falling off the wall, the fridge was not in place, there was not a single light fixture installed, there were holes in the second floor closet, and all of the sockets were missing. It was a complete mess and when I called to complain they finally sent someone out to assist me. Thankfully, they moved me into another apartment that same day - and that is one good thing that I can say about them: they rectified that problem immediately. However, the new place was not ready to move into. I was told that various problems would be fixed immediately, and while some were fixed promptly, there are numerous issues that are still unresolved 5 month later. Some of these issues are small (a light fixture that does not work), and some are larger (no hot water). I have five work orders currently in place with the company, four of which have been in progress for three months or longer. Instead of replacing objects (ceiling fans or dishwashers) Cascade transfers those objects from other properties and they STILL dont always work.My biggest problem has been bugs. I put in a work order for an exterminator and Cascade applied Bug Bombs from Walmart multiple times, which I could have done myself. When the problem persisted and they still did not deal with the issue, I went to the store and bought Raid spray, egg sterilizers, poison traps, and poison tablets and have been attempting to deal with the issue on my own. However, this is a huge problem that poses health problems and I would definitely caution you to spend about 20 minutes in one of their properties before you sign a lease (at my place youll see a bug within minutes - but by 20 minutes I feel like youll know if theres a bug problem or not).Ive attempted several times to call about having maintenance come fix issues. They do not have a key to my apartment, so I need to be present to let them in. One time I was told that maintenance had stopped by several days before and I should have been there, even though I had never been informed that maintenance was stopping by. When I called back I was told they were going to come over in the next three days so make sure youre there (as if I can just take three days off of work and school to sit around - and surprise, surprise, they never showed up!).Dont bother stopping by the office either - they continually have a sign up that says they are out of the office. However, knock a couple times because sometimes they actually are there.I am extremely frustrated with Cascade and already looking for a new place to move into even though I am only about halfway through my lease. While they did resolve the first issue promptly, everything since then has been a complete mess. I would seriously, seriously caution you from renting with this company. While their prices may be reasonable, the apartments are old so utility costs are high and the cost of dealing with all their hassles are not worth it.
This company is unorganized and shady. DO NOT TRUST THEM
