As an professional and licensed esthetician I would like to say this place is a rip off and and a disgrace to the beauty,cosmo sector.Im assuming this is a family business because grandma someone mother was brutal during a rushed pedicure that left feet with the same dry skin I came in with and tell me I should hve gotten number 2,numerous of times had to ask for a clear coat,manicure was rushed if i hadnt brought notice to my nails still being dirty they would have just pushed me out the door,I treated a friend to a pedicure and she also said she wouldnt come ever again and apologized for bringing me

I dont want to give them any stars.. first off they quoted me two different prices please tell me how is 25 for nails and 30 for feet is 65 dollars and then you quote that price when you are done you tell me it was additional to cut down my nails why is that extra?? And I have photos of roaches in the shop. Also while you doing my nails you cleaning little flying animals I will never I mean never go in there again this makes the mall look bad..

My family and I are new to the area and in need of a great nail spa. I like to have my services done all in one spot and City Day Spa was able to accommodate that! So I sent my daughter for a trial her nails came out beautifully along with her eyebrows. So I was still hesitant because she only does simple nail styles where I am Extra. Linda did a phenomenal job and I’m super picky the price is great way less than what I used to pay! Let me not leave out Jagu she threaded my daughter’s eyebrows and they are beautiful. Please ladies do yourself a favor and thread those brows you will be pleased. I love the service and friendliness!

My mother, my aunt, and I all went to get full sets. First they didnt ask what we wanted and just automatically started, then they cut my moms finger, they didnt finish filing any of our nails, leaving extra nail pieces on that should have been removed. Then afterwards, they were very rude and had outrageous prices!! It was 158+ dollars just for 3 Sets of nails! Then the lady who threaded my moms eyebrows and waxed her upper lip did it poorly and didnt even finish. I wouldnt go here.

Jagu always leaves my eyebrows perfectly. She is the best Threader in Tallahassee. I highly recommend her for your eyebrows or any face thread.

I came in for SNS French dip on my nails and Gel on my toes. Ben serviced me and he did an amazing job. They have a welcoming atmosphere here and the prices are reasonable.

Today I went to City Day Spa i got my lashes and eyebrows done. Thanks to Jagu she was amazing and professional the service was quick. Before you leave she make sure that you’re comfortable and also before u leave she ask u how do u like it etc. I will definitely will be going back. Thank u!!

We came last minute for pedicures and eye brow threading. My mother love her eyebrows! We will be booking applications every month! Best place to get eyebrows done

Im very upset with my experience here. I paid $45 for the nails in the pictures. I felt rushed out to where my nails didnt dry and are now all messed up. Not only that the man made my finger bleed. My fingers were not cared for properly as there is still dried glue on the backs of my fingers, hang nails, and disproportionately sized. I am very angry about this experience and will not go back. I was also charged $2 for not wearing a mask and wasnt told about it until I thought to ask.

I visited this location for the first time and had the pleasure of working with Jagu to have my brows threaded and lash extensions installed and was pleased with the service. My lashes and brows came.out amazing. Im extremely pleased. Ive had my brows threaded before but I especially enjoyed Jaqu because it wasnt painful like other places. Give her a try, you wont regret it.

This was my first visit here. I tried giving them a try, even after reading the reviews. My pedicure was rushed. My feet soaked for less than 3 minutes. Then he took my feet out the water, drained the tub, and put lotion on my feet and legs before I said something.This was the worse pedicure I have ever received. My cuticles were not done correctly. The polish looked like my 7 year old granddaughter had done it.Their fees are too expensive to do such a bad job. I will not be returning. Now I have to go somewhere else to get my feet done correctly.

I wont be going back to this nail salon. After one week, I have three infected fingers because I was cut & while filing the side of my nail, the nail file was dug into the side of my nail causing it bleed. I am very disappointed that in a short period of time the review went from 5 stars to. I would post pictures and theyre too gross to show. To add to it, Linda thought is was funny & had a belly laugh over it. 🤦‍♀️ it wasnt funny, I was hurt.

This is my favorite nail salon in town. It isnt fancy, but it fits my needs. The workers are friendly, and they do beautiful work.

I appreciate how my now nails tech Linda stepped in to correct a problem that I had with my nails many months ago. She does my nails, also my daughters(14&17) nails NICE! I have to wait some times longer than I want; but when I get in the chair, she get me right and I leave SATISFIED.

I was serviced by the older lady here and this was the worse pedicure I have ever had. A blind person could have done a better job. My feet were in the water approximately 10 mins (she rushed everything). When I told her the polish looks lumpy she said, “ehhhhhh” and shooed me away. After my pedicure, I addressed the concerns with Linda who offered a fix, but I was so dissatisfied and ready to go.

I had a bad first time experience today I went in to get my eyebrows waxed my eyebrows was rushed and I did not get it shaped as I wanted it and I was charged $12 for the bad quality everybrows and as I was paying the lady that did my eyebrows said the card machine was not working and accused me of not having money in my card when she knew it was something wrong with their card system I went down to the atm as she was watching me from the outside of the shop and I handed her the $20 and she was rude about it and snatched it out of my hand no apology for accusing me of not having money !! Rude and bad service do not go here and I will never go here again !! If I could give this place a 0 I will !!

I came to this place horrible costumer service my nail tec did not speak English so I had some one come tell her what I was saying and she did which was to be gentle because I had an injury...they got an attitude and being to start being extremely ruff to the point I had to switch tecs...then the next one broke my nail then tried to say it was already broken when they had to do a cut down so how is that even possible...then I paid for a massage as an upgrade and she told me that I had to wait till after my nails was painted which I did and since they were getting ready to close she didn’t tells me that the service was already performed which it was not so I left there paying full price for something I did not receive not to mention horrible customer service I would never come to this place ever again on top of they are overpriced and overcharge and no one there speaks English but the ownerAnd she was busy so I had to deal with angry people who don’t even speak my language highly disappointed if I could give this place is zero stars I would

The pedicure felt rushed and I understand there’s a pandemic, but to increase price while decreasing customer satisfaction isn’t good business. I probably won’t ever come back being completely honest. Just wasn’t a pedicure worth $30. The polish looks nice though

They rushed my $50 worth of pedicure. I didnt even bother to ask for a color. My nails still has cuticles which is very visible and I dont know how they clean nails but its not worth $50 for me.

I had an expensive pedicure that only seemed to take 15 minutes, the clear coat on my Ombre color came off not even on for a week. Everything was rushed, definitely not what a pedicure or salon day should be.

I had a good experience overall coming from Kentucky ... I paid 115 for an ombré coffin set and a pedicure with gel polish.... I think that was okay being that I couldn’t find anywhere else to get my nails done... I was pleased and felt better once I was all done!!!!! The atmosphere was clean and I got right in!! Thanks !!! I knew something was off because my eyes were burning without me even opening them once she was finished they looked nothing like what I wanted, it was a whole clutter of mess on my else plus it kept feeling like it was something in them, my eyes were extremely irritated and they kept getting watery as if I was crying, I had them done yesterday and just got them removed today and I don’t think she washed her hands at all after waxing another client, my sister told me AFTER the fact and with COVID going around they don’t follow any safety measures

I never have a issue at city day spa, quality work, great products. This is my regular nail salon she has all the diamonds and styles i want!

My mom, sister and I went in to get our nails done. I was not impressed with the guy that did my nails. I told him what I wanted done and when my sister went up to pay I told her to tell them I was doing a colored French tip with a design and the guy told me that’s not what I asked for. When he started the design he missed it up. They messed my moms nails up really bad and made them way to long. We had to go back in to have her nails fixed. The lady at the desk was very rude and snappy. I will never get my nails done here again.

Failed to give full pedicure service to one member of our group. When asked about it another employee lied and continued to say that the esthetician didn’t know all steps.

I’ve been going here since 2012. The management has changed so much. But Linda the owner now is pretty cool. They’ve been there since 2016. I always get a full set or a fill with my eyebrows done by Linda in the front chair. She’s really fast. They rush sometimes. But for the most part their pretty good.

Worst nail job Ive ever had. Paid $30, and was in and out in 30 min. Every nail salon Ive ever been to is atleast an hour for a pedicure and is still cheaper than this. My 7 year old could do a better job!!!! Wanted to try somewhere new, obviously will never be going back...

The nail tech did not do what i asked and she d id not fix it. I will not be returning.

I’ve been coming here since I moved to Tallahassee 2 years ago. I’ve been to other places but this is the only spa I’ve been the most satisfied. They get the shape of my nails perfect. Lee and Linda are my go to nail technicians and I’ve built a great rapport with them. Very friendly..comfortable atmosphere and they’re always available AND they always meet the expectations. I highly recommend.

If you want your nails pampered and eyebrows waxed to the T, then stop by City Spa and ask for Mrs. Linda. It has been 2 years since I have been able to have acrylic nails and stopped in today as a walk in because Iv missed them. Linda welcomed me in, gave me a full set and topped it off with gel. She did such an amazing job, I am very picky when it comes to getting my fill as close to the cuticle as possible and she definitely exceeded my expectations. Ive tried just about every other spot in Tallahassee for my nails and am happy to say I will not be trying anywhere else.

I went for my birthday. The service wasn’t bad but i paid $90 for nails that didn’t even last 2 weeks! And one of them cracked my real nail bed. There were no designs whatsoever I only had dip powder but even that shouldn’t be $90.

I’m a faithful regular here and I always ask for Linda. She and her parents own this location and they are wonderful people. She is absolutely the best at what she does! I will not go to anyone else. If you go here ask for her!

This was my second time going here the first time was terrible which was about 3 years ago I desperately needed to get my nails done so I thought maybe they had new people but no, these people couldn’t understand how I wanted my nails done. I don’t even think they used clean tools on me but what was the biggest shocker was when I asked for purple Crome nails they really painted my nails blue and told me is was purple I told her to re do my nails. Then she gave me an attitude I highly recommend you do no come here to get your nails done ever.

I give it three but really wanted to give it, 2 1/2 because I no longer go there to get my nails done.. the last time I went the nails were crooked and sloppy and two broke off the next day. I gave them these stars because the never disappoint when it comes to my eyebrows.

I went in to simply get two nails repaired and one possibly repainted. First off, I was waiting for at least half and hour before I was seen and was told by the woman up front that she forgot I was there even though she was making continuous eye contact with me? Then, once I was finally in the chair I asked the woman who was doing my nails what the total would be to which she answered $11- five to repair each nail and one two repaint one that had chipped. After my nails were halfway done she informed me it would be more because of the shape of the nail and the type of polish I chose, something that had obviously not changed since she started my nails. At the end, four extra dollars were thrown on the end of my bill that I should’ve been made aware of from the beginning. On top of that, the entire time my nails were being done she was vehemently trying to convince me to spend more money in the form of a fill in and an eyebrow wax I didn’t want nor need. After I politely turned her down she continued to attempt to push her service on me. And, after all of this, the nails were too thick, not shaped properly and she wrapped the tip sloppily. If I could put zero stars, that wouldn’t be low enough. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

I genuinely love it here ! I’ve been here for a very long time and I absolutely love it . All the employees are very polite and I love Linda. She always does my nails and does an amazing job. Definitely the best nail spa.

I would not recommend this salon for a pedicure. The lady (wearing a large gold chain with a green jade Buddha) could speak no English and scrubbed my feet so hard it took the skin off. I told her take it easy and she didn’t understand! BTW I had done a foot soak the day before and my feet were clean! Plus another customer was having an altercation with the owner and they were rude to the customer.

The worse experience Ive had in a while. I went to get my nails done on my lunch break, and I have two different people do my nails. One to take off my acrylics. She didnt attempt to make it a pleasant experience. With every ouch and painful grimace she continued until I told her to stop because it was too painful. She continue to getting gel nails to strengthen my nails. Then I had a grown woman paint my nails like a 5 year old girl. leave empty spots and blaming it on my nail bed. I do not recommend any to ever go to this place. You have been warned.

They ask you what you want and still do whatever they feel like doing to your nails. My second time and my last time. Thought I would give them another try but I was GREATLY disappointed again!!! All of nails are different sizes she charged for every little thing she done and I left very upset and nails and toes looks disgusting!

I had a very good experience the first visit and returned to have an even better!! They are always friendly and really do a great job.

When I first walked in I saw friends on mine who usually have beautiful nails so I wasnt worried. Then it took them 10 minutes of me sitting there to actually get started but the nail technician was very apologetic so I let it slide. Then of course we start my nails. Im not one to insult accents but I could not understand what she was asking me and she never gave me a prices chart or showed me what I was asking for. Next we get to doing my nails. Any other time Ive gotten my nails done they started with a soaking or at least washing my hands but that didnt happen here. I got the soaking but never once was instructed to wash my hands. I wanted gel nails and when she originally filed them the nails were uneven or looked chipped AFTER she filed so I asked her to do it once more. She did and they werent perfect but I let it slide. While doing the gel nails my thumb finger messed up. I asked her to fix it and she said she would. She put on more coats and the mess up still wasnt fixed and her response to me when I asked her to fix it again was I already put two coats. So basically she was saying oh well itll stay like that. Im already miffed by then end but apparently we werent done. She put wax on my hands AFTER doing my nails which Ive NEVER seen done before like what sense does that make? Overall the nail paint came out uneven I can see where she put more polish and see through the polish even so Im highly upset. Shes lucky from further away they look fine but I will never EVER visit this establishment again. She looked sideways because I didnt tip her and when I temporarily lost my card she seemed annoyed that I asked if she gave it back. Like maam I dont remember where I put it and I asked to clarify dont catch an attitude with me. Once again this was my worst experience with getting a manicure. Its not worth the money or time. The only good thing I can say is that she was nice and worked fast.

This place is terrible if you want a pedicure this is not the place to go they are terrible at doing designs they had to redo it three times to make them look okay and they still look disgusting. I had to repeatedly ask them to shape up my toenails because they didn’t file them down and they didn’t put a clear coat on because the girl had a attitude. I left very unsatisfied and it was a waste of money.

Employees are very unprofessional. My first time being there I saw two employees argumenting with a customer. The lady that did my pedicure rushed through the entire process. She kept saying “I have to hurry. I have to go to my family.” I accidentally made a smudge on my toe nail polish and I told her. She made the statement that it’s already 9:30pm. She then finds the polish and proceeds to put a glob of polish on top of the smudge. I then asked could could she smooth it out because the polish looked lumpy. She complains again that she has to go home.My friend had gotten her pedicure done by another employee and she was sitting under the dryer waiting for her toes to dry. A woman came by and said her toes are dry after she had JUST gotten them painted. We told her that her nail were not dry. She begins to raise her voice saying that it is dry. She was trying to rush us out of the salon. She proceeds to press on the painted toe nail with her finger and smudge the polish after we TOLD her that it was not dry. I will never come here again! HORRIBLE customer service!

Not only was it expensive but my nail technician cut my foot scrubbing too hard and left polish all over my toes. She was sweet but I will not be coming back

Great people!! They ask you what you want and suggest what you need, but not pushy though. Great service, do theyre jobs well done and not rushed. Theyre just a little bit pricey but definitely worth it.

Dip powder nails, terrible, I have ever had.

I went in for what shouldve been a simple repair for one nail. I was asked to sit, and waited over an hour. The staff began to close up the shop and I indicated that I was still waiting to be helped. The woman who greeted me initially told me that she forgot that I was waiting, and stated that next time I would need to remind them that I was a paying patron. She proceeded to repair my nail and complained about how late it was, past their closing time, and reiterated that next time I would need to let staff know that I was waiting. She then attempted to talk me into having the one nail painted a different color because she couldnt match the color, even though I had gotten my nails painted in the same salon. She asked me to pay full price in spite of my wait and inability to match my nail color. I will never visit this shop again.

Waste of my money. Quickest pedicure Ive ever received. The lotion/massage part wasnt even a minute per foot. She didnt clear coat before she painted. This was my second chance here. The first time I went the girl cut my foot and the polish didnt reach the edges of the nail.

Used to be my favorite nail salon but the last time I went the nail tech did a horrible job. The drill she used left my nails uneven and dented. When she put the polish on thats all you could see. She rushed to the point that my friend that came in 15 minutes before me was still getting her nails done while I had been done (we asked for the same style just a different color). I literally could have done my own nails and it would have looked better. I know people have to learn but please dont use my nails to practice on especially since its so expensive.

Staff were rude and overtalks you. The lady that did my nails and toes was shaking and they came out horrible (never seen gel polish messed up). First time trying out the place and was not good experience!

My girlfriend and I went to get pedicures and a full set each and we were charged $130. The pedicures were below average, and you had to pay extra for a foot massage. They rushed through and it shows in their work. They started doing the full sets WHILE we were getting pedicures so we could not even enjoy the short ones we paid for. They continued to tell us to get gel on our nails even after we said no and would not stop. I was paying for it all and the manicurist doing my girlfriends nails said that she could just pay the difference. The work was not well done and we WILL not be going back here. I would not recommended this shop to anyone. If I could give 0 stars i would. Supposed to be relaxing and enjoyable, but instead we got rushed and over priced.

Charge too much and polish looked funny

Worst salon ever . Charges $25 for lashes they get at the beauty supply store . Its my fault when I heard their prices I should have turned around and LEFT the guy who started applying my lashes obviously smoked and his hands which smelled like smoke were touching my hands . He then proceeds to blow in my face with his smoky breath . I pray I dont have an eye infection . Im currently trying to take off these lashes, she entwined then with my real lashes so Im having a difficult time taking them off. 0/10Disgusting, pushy, and unprofessional

Horrible experience! I got gel polish on finger nails on Saturday and it peeled off on Monday.. 2 days!!! I returned to have it fixed and the nail tech explained that if I have any other problems to come back so they could fix it. Why should I have to come back every other day when I paid for gel polish?!? Isnt it supposed to last longer than regular polish?? To add to the experience, the nail tech did a rush job while initially painting my nails. I will not go back.

Extremely poor service. Came in on a Sunday seeking a simple gel manicure on my natural nails. There was no one else in the salon, meanwhile there were several family members eating. The tech rushed on my nails...she cut them down extremely low and caked them with polish. There was even a moment that I had to ask her to stop because she was being so rough...I constantly asked for soap to wash my hands and there was NONE in the entire salon.

Recently a new owner took over & fired all of the old employees & brought her family to work for her. They have no experience because they are not licensed. The elderly workers will rush & bang on your legs during a pedicure & the younger workers will take longer than 30 minutes because they dont know what they are doing. They also dont speak English so make sure you are paying for what you asked for or they will charge you for extra services. Before your service, you are allowed to ask for their license for your safety. City Day Spa is not the same anymore now that an unlicensed family has taken over. The elderly people make you feel uncomfortable because they stand & stare for no reason & there is also a lot of yelling across the salon because they do not know how to communicate. I do not recommend this salon anymore because you wont have a decent service here. Enter this salon at your own risk!

Expensive prices for basic services. Ive been going there for about 6 years, but my loyalty ends here. Finding another spot that has better service and prices.

Went in for gel polish on hands and feet. Polish peeled off 3 fingers the next day. I called and they will fix it for free but I have little faith its going to last two weeks.

I love Linda, she always does a great job and even if there is a wait for her chair it is well worth it.

You would think that any place in Tallahassees most popular mall would be high class, aiming towards perfection, but that was not the case in my first and last experience at this nail salon. During being serviced I was so very distracted by the children in the shop who were allowed to run and around and yell loudly without any discouragement from their parents- the owners might I add. One of the children even came over to where I was getting my nails treated and shook the table, almost ruining my nails. Furthermore, after the woman was finished my nails came out to look undesirable and bulky and they charged me $40 for it! I received a gel acrylic fill and was over-charged compared to the services I usually go to who charge less and do better! If all of the other places werent closed or overly busy I would have never went there. From my experience I do not recommend this nail shop at all.
