Whether you are recreational exerciser or CrossFit Games hopeful, the coaches and community meet you where you are at and find every way to help you make progress.Thanks to the tremendous help from the coaches and experienced members, I went from never doing a clean or snatch, not doing three ring dips at a time, and maxing out at 18 push-ups to doing extensive workouts with 135 lb cleans while maxing out at 16 ring dips and 38 push-ups in one year. Mind you, that is not even close to the exhaustive list and I would have never done it on my own.How do I know? From trying numerous programs for nine months before this and realizing that nothing compares to having a community who will support you through the highs and lows.

After years of working out in traditional gyms and teaching group fitness, I wanted to find a fitness home where I could grow my functional fitness. Almost three years ago I walked into CrossFit Black Box for the free demo and then never looked back. Ive met some of the strongest and most supportive people that I know consider my fitness family. If youve been afraid to give CrossFit a try, this is the place to get your foot in the door and go for it! Best Coaches and supportive owners!

I was a part of BlackBox from 2016 to 2018 and during that time, I had some of the greatest experiences ever. Coaches and fellow CrossFitters pushed me hard to points where I didnt even think I could accomplish. Now, I came to find out that BlackBox is closing which got me completely heartbroken. There is no gym like BlackBox. They were not just a CrossFit Gym, they were a community. Coach Sean, Coach Rachel, and all the coaches Ive encountered had given me such a very positive experience and I am truly grateful to be a part of an amazing community.

Some of my favorite people and college memories have come from this place. 4 and a half year of fitness at this place and I am sad to leave this December. Sean has always been helpful when I have any questions and the community is one of my favorite things about this place. It has every piece of equipment you need and the right coaches to help you achieve your goals!

One of the most welcoming gyms I’ve ever belonged to! I came in with back problems and left feeling so much better than any chiropractor or Ortho have made me feel. A great gym :)

I dropped in to CrossFit Black Box a couple of weeks ago during a business trip to Tallahassee. What a great box! It is centrally located and very easy to find. It was very, very clean with lots of equipment. The coach that day (Ryan) was very friendly, encouraging and provided some great personal coaching on improving shoulder mobility during the strict press. The other athletes were welcoming and friendly. The workout that day was programmed perfectly (save for the fact that it involved deadlifts and the Open workout that started that day - which I was going to do when returning to my home box on Monday - also included deadlifts!) and it included the perfect amount of challenge for me. I travel a lot and drop in to a lot of boxes across the country, so I have no problem saying that Black Box ranks up there among the best boxes Ive visited. I will 100% visit again if Im ever back in Tallahassee.

Written in 2015: I have been a member for over 2 years now and I love it. The coaches are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. It really feels like family here, and what they say about the CrossFit community is true: the last person finishing the workout gets the loudest cheers. It is great for beginners because there is a lot of focus on technique and making sure you work your way into each movement correctly. This is my second home!Update 2020: CrossFit Black Box is still the best gym Ive ever been a part of. The owners and coaches are dedicated to proper form and technique and assisting you in ANY goals you have, whether fitness related or nutrition related. Since my last review in 2015, I have moved away and moved back, trying out a few gyms while away, and nowhere compares to here. Still my second home!

I switched from traditional CrossFit programming to Black Boxs barbell club and I couldnt be happier. The people are friendly and wonderful. I even get to bring my dog to hangout during workouts. Ive never felt judged for my limitations (currently recovering from minor shoulder surgery) and it was very easy to put my membership on hold when I needed my surgery.The coaches are engaged in the well-being of their athletes and it shows.

Absolutely excited about this place. Owners rock. Coaches patient, kind and passionate about helping me to reach MY health goals by tailoring the workouts to be just outside my current abilities to create goals and motivation to reach them.

One of the best cross fit gyms in Tallahassee! Black Box has professional trainers who are committed to helping people achieve their goals and see results! All of the workouts are scale-able, so this gym is perfect for all fitness levels- highly recommend going to Black Box for a great workout in a fun environment!

Great atmosphere, really a family vibe. Avoid the corporate feel of a Planet Fitness and check the place out.

Have only been at CFBB for a month and a half, but so far I have nothing but great things to say! I had previously done crossfit and must say the caliber of coaching and attention is great. The owners also do a great job with keeping the programming varied.

I dropped in for 3 workouts while visiting Tallahassee. Great box with knowledgeable and friendly coaches and very nice people. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a Crossfit box in this area.

Best gym in town.... Great atmosphere, family owned, the coaches are knowledgeable and treat everyone with respect. Dont go to any other Crossfit gym! Blackbox cares for their members and everyones like family.

I have been around crossfit for nearly 4 years, and I have never had an experience greater than the one Ive had at BlackBox. Every aspect of the gym is to help propel yourself to fulfilling whatever goal you have set in place. Whether its to live an overall healthy lifestyle or to be an Olympic lifter that wants to compete! All the resources needed are here. The equipment is all new, the environment is always electiric and the trainers are walkibg encyclopedias ready to help with whatever is needed. I will forever hold the standard of a crossfit gym to what BlackBox provides its customers on an EVERYDAY basis.
