Been sent Holly and her girls since 2000.... no one else touches my feet and nails. They are nice courteous professional and do an excellent job. If you havent seen the girls here you need to come in today. Walk inns are welcome.

Don’t come here unless you have 2+ hours of time to waste. Each and every time I have gone I have made an appointment, and I always end up waiting anywhere from 20-30 minutes after my appointment time to be seen…. today I waited well over an hour past my appointment time, no one bothered to check in with me during the wait. When it was finally my turn my nails were rushed and turned out poorly.

My nails came out great, BUT I chose a light grey and asked if they had a darker version. The woman doing my nails said yes so she painted them, come to realize she not only cut my finger without telling me but painted my nails PURPLE. I asked politely for a color change, the woman grabbed my hand and said “No this is grey” I couldn’t even believe what was going on so I asked again. They told me to wait 30 minutes and that I had to pay AGAIN. Absolutely not. I went to a different nail salon down the street to get them fixed. These people don’t listen to requests and it’s not right, I didn’t get what I wanted.

Compared to a previous nail salon and same $$$ amount spent, Id recommend this place. Nails lasted way longer and uses quality products. Totally worth the $$ here.

It’s the best pedi and mani in Tacoma!! I don’t go anywhere else when I’m in town. The ladies are amazing and friendly and quick and professional - it’s very clean, as well.

Never been but got cucumber pedi and gel nails. Wonderful experience! They also waxed my eyebrows and that was great as well. Smells like chocolate and cleaner smelled like watermelon. 👍

I don’t like to write bad reviews but I just HAD to let everyone know that there are WAY better nail salons out there. I was treated like a child telling me to stop moving and yanking my arm and hand around. I actually thought at one point she was going to break my thumb. They never even showed me colors let alone let me pick my own, I showed pictures of what I wanted and she did nothing like the picture. AND! I took my little 14yrs old friend and they took advantage of her and charged her $75!!! For a French tip with simple black dots on the tip. I was charged $65 and mine were WAY more intricate with rhinestones and gems. I wasn’t aware they did that until we left! I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!

I have gone to the location on 38th multiple times but was closer to this location today, I called and made an appointment for 2pm. I arrived a little before my appointment time and was asked to write my number down and wait outside, so I sat in my car. There were two names in the notebook prior to mine, so I waited even after seeing two groups go in. Then another group left and someone else went in and still no call. I got frustrated and drove away after an hour. They still haven’t called.

I got a full set today. Just a simple light pink color. We walked in and it was busy, me and my boyfriend waited. One lady was going from one person to one person because she said they were short handed. She worked fast. When she was doing my nails, me and my boyfriend was talking about how nice the salon was and how professional it was and she thanked us and told other workers there. It’s made me happy seeing them happy about saying their salon was professional. I felt comfortable in there. Everyone seems nice and polite. I paid 40.00 plus 3.00 tip for my nails and I love them. There smooth and shaped beautiful. Their salon is clean and up to date. I RECOMMEND!!!

Appalling service. Waited too long, acrylic was way too thick and uneven. They advertise $15 for a fill but charged me $20. Knocked my paint while it was drying, the lady who fixed it threw a fit and rolled her eyes. One of my square nails looks like the top of Gumbys head. I will never go back.

Quick service and nice people! I recommend going here if you want an amazing fill/full set !The prices are a little stiff. But the quality you get is amazing!!! I got a full set ( Gel polish ) and I paid $45. ( including tip ) No extra fees or secret charges.

The lady’s were super nice but don’t go here if ur looking for nice acrylics, I get mine long and extra and I went in there with the shape I liked from a previous salon and I had 2 broken, and they fixed my broken one but made it completely different than the rest and shorter and then decided to change the shape of the rest of them to match it which was horrible. Not only that but my acrylics were crooked.

I have been a loyal client for many many years. My nails have always turned out great, the ladies are nice. But they are extremely short handed. I waiting with my sister for over an hour before they even started my pedicure waiting 2 hours and never touch mine or my sisters nails. And my sister never got a pedicure. They saw 4 people before her that actually came in after us.. Never told us their would be a wait.they tried to make getting us to wait but we refused after a hours. The last time I went it took so long I didnt have time to get my nails done. I will not be going back. They could at least say they were super short handed and didnt have time. Anything would have been better than waiting for 2 hours.... unprofessional!!!

Im going to try and keep this brief but heres my experience:So as a group, me and my three friends decided to get our nails done. Usually the experience would be that we would all chat together, typical bonding. One of the girls even called in advanced to book an appointment. We arrived at 10, didnt get to leave till past noon.To add, what I got was a manicure. I had to sit in this uncomfortable chair for over an hour with just the plastic tips glued on and nothing else. All in the end, I didnt even get my mat black nails I had paid for, but gel navy dark blue.Red flags right when we got there:- They had way too many people- No guidance- They actually separated us as a group so the whole plan for us to spend time together was foiled- When they received calls for people to book appointments, there was no record or any writing done to keep track of them. Walk ins were being served before those who called a day or two in advance.- When finally seated, the women essentially started my nails and then left me hanging for over an hour. This happened to the woman next to me as well, my friend and two girls seated at another table- Lastly when knowing they couldnt handle anymore customers, they continued to attempt to bring more in.

The best pedicure spot - best bang for your buck. The first time I went there, I thought they misheard me halfway through the pedicure because it was so nice and thorough that I thought I was getting a deluxe. I was upset wondering that I have to pay more, but it was really good so I was okay with it. Then I payed and it was only $25! They give you a thorough massage with hot stones and all. Their happy hour prices are a steal.

WARNING this location has very poor quality of service and even worse Customer Service. Nothing short of sloppy can describe the end result of my nails! I went in yesterday for multiple services prior to an important event tomorrow. I had acrylics put on. My cuticles werent cleaned, trimmed or pushed back. I came home with nails that looked as if they needed a fill already as they were just slapped on. There are hangnails and dead skin on either side of nails. There are bare spots of acrylic showing where polish was missed entirely. I was asked to come back in this morning. I did do at 10.43 am. While the Manager acknowledged she missed painting many spots she was dismissive of the horrible condition of the grooming. She informed me that I didnt request cuticles be done so they werent. I spent $104.00 yesterday at this salon. Had I known I had to specifically request clean, trimmed and pushed back cuticles I certainly would have paid the extra $10 ! This Manager portrays zero professionalism. Clearly, she has zero concern for the quality her work/services. She has zero concern for clientele satisfaction. Please dont risk your time or money at this location. They. Do. Not. Care. I now, must pay another salon to repair or redo the sloppy mess on my hands!

I had the BEST peticure I have ever had here. Hot stone, paraffin wax and thorough massage all for $25. They were clean, efficient and friendly. My toes are flawless and I am so relaxed. I will come here from now on. They are inexpensive and its a great environment. I am leaving happy :)

Its a joke.. I have gone quite a few times to get nails and pedicures.. I got a pedicure today which was a massageand worked on the masks and painted.. All of that was 25.00.. Ok cool.. My daughter didnt want acrylics but asked for the cats eye polish on her natural fingernails.. They filed and made her nails pretty and fingernails were done way before my pedicure was done.. I go to pay and the seriously charged me 30 dollars for her fingernail polish! They said it was because they push the cuticles back and file.. Are you FOR REAL?? I greet charged for a full set at $30.00.. You are straight out of your minds of you think I will ever step for in there again. Rip off!! I will let everyone I know trust in that

The work they do is great. But appointments mean nothing which is VERY disappointing. I made an appointment twice, and both times I left after waiting 30 minutes BEYOND my appointment time. At the very least staff should say, hey we are running a little behind. No point in making an appointment. Means nothing.

The staff is wonderful and so polite and excellent at their nail art! I have never had any problems with them! They perfectionists when it comes to making your nails look just how you want them. No matter how busy they get, they still take the time to make your nails looks perfect!

This is the best place I have found to do my nails! The service is cordial and professional. The French Ombré nails are beautiful and durable too! I would not go any where else.

V Nails is great. The staff are wonderful. You may have to wait but that’s because they are so good they are busy. Holly, the owner always makes sure I am taken cared of. I tried other places before I went here. I have been going here for years. I took my father here. My husband, my sister, my friends etc... I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Ive gone here for nearly 2 years, but I will not go back. Getting a pedicure is a relaxing experience. But, because I wanted to relax and enjoy my pedicure before soaking off my nails, the salon decided to teach me a lesson by performing my manicure, but making me wait an entire hour before actually painting my nails. The technician managed to paint the feet of two other women, change the inserts of foot bowls, and check people out, all while I waited for her to, not do my manicure but, paint my nails! At exactly one hour, I got up and decided I was done. Suddenly, she was ready to paint my nails. But, when I informed her, again, that I was done she stated, well you didnt want to soak your nails earlier. Lol, so yeah.......I will not return because this salon doesnt want you to relax and enjoy yourself. They want you to hurry up and buy!

Came here a few times, very big salon. First time it was early afternoon about 1pm and experience was great. Nails were just how I wanted them. Next time, called two days in advance to make an appointment, came in and they made me wait 20 minutes past the time I scheduled. As I was sitting down waiting customers who just walked in were immediately helped. When I questioned why I was paying $20 instead of $15 like their sign says the owner claimed it was because the acrylic powder was more pink and stronger but nobody asked me whether I wanted normal acrylic powder or not. Another occasion I was charged $18 for a fill and when I asked why I was told its $3 extra to cut my nails down. I was given two different pedicures for the same price, the first one gave me a paraffin bath and hot stones the second there was not a paraffin bath and when I asked if I could have that the lady said that it would be $10 extra. Absolutely ridiculous. Even though they ask you constantly to make an appointment your time is not valued once you do. My fourth and final visit they soaked my feet in lukewarm water for 30 minutes while I waited for someone to start my pedicure. My feet were prunes. I was not thanked for waiting. Once I politely informed the owner of my unhappy experiences, I was offered nothing, not even an apology. I like to give places second chances but unfortunately I wont be returning.

I love V Nails Ive been to quite a few places in Tacoma and they are by far the best theyre always so very friendly and accommodating to their customers they have some of the best nail techs Ive ever seen they do great 3D nails! And they are open longer.

I made an appointment for my mother and I to have manicures and pedicures. After our pedicures, they escorted me to another station and stated on my mothers nails, I waited for over 15 minutes, after 20 I told them I did not have time to wait for my manicure. They offered to do it then, but it would have been over an hour and I had an appointment. I spoke with the manager who argued with me about the amount of time I had to wait. Finally I just told her I was unwilling to argue any longer. We will NOT be going here again. Lesson to be learned..take care of people that actually called ahead and made an appointment instead of catering to every walk in that comes in........

I have tried so many nails places and none compare to this one. Holly the owner does mine and she does an excellent job! I have never been able to go more than 2 weeks between fills and I can go 3-4 weeks and still do not break nails! The wait is sometimes long but well worth it. I have learned to call in advance for an apt and I just make sure Im not in a rush to get in/out. I highly recommend them.

Very disappointed in this place. I was referred to come here a year ago to see Cindy by several coworkers. At first things were great, was happy with the nails and the service. She ran a little behind but no biggy. Then I found out they took appointments, so I started doing that. But that clearly didnt matter as they would never even take my name. when I would get there I could see that she had only just started on someone, each time I had made an appointment the same thing would happen. She would get later and later to see me, up to over an hour was the last straw. Not to mention she then overcharged me 5$ and said it was because she used a special gel powder on my nails to make then stronger (I never had a problem to begin with), she never mentioned that or asked if it was ok. 3 nails snapped completely off within 5 days of having them done. Now because of her tardiness and service she has lost 5 customers. Dont go here if you have things to do.

WORST experience ever! I was so excited to get my nails done. Called in advance to make sure they had openings which they did. Got there was greated and asked to pick out the color of polish. Once I had that picked out I was shown the last seat. Someone told me they would be right with me. I waited. Once she was done with that person she went over to the chair and stared her toes, once she was done with that she went and did her nails. The girl next to me was just finishing up one person and didnt offer to take me she took someone that had just walked in the door. So as I continue to wait he lady that said she would be right with me is still doing the ladys nails. As she is waiting for them to dry she jumps right over to the next person and stars her nails. I waited for over 45 minutes while that I watched 3 other people that walked in after me get helped. I just moved to this area and was looking for my go to nail salon and this place will NOT be that place.

Good friendly service

Staff were very nice, but the work was subpar for the price. My heels are still rough and calloused after the pedicure, and my manicure (which was supposed to be a natural-looking French tip acrylic) is absolutely horrible. The nails almost curve upwards, theyre a trashy peach, and the French tip is like half the nail. Absolutely will not go back.

I have been going here the last few years because they are down the street from my house but I will no longer be going unfortunately after my very poor experience. I came in needing a full set, I picked out a regular color and tried to find the closest one to match in the gel-so I did, I found the color. I wanted to do just the tips that color with the gel polish and she tells me I can’t, and that with that color I would have to do the whole nail in that color. Not sure what that was about? I still don’t get it. Anyways, so after she says she can’t paint just the tips I get the whole nail (even though this is not what I wanted.) So than I ask for a polish change on my toes and she straight up looks at me and says “we don’t have time.” I said “well I have time so I’ll wait.” So I wait about 25 minutes to have a polish change, this was a gel polish change. Anyways, so I grab my gel color to match my fingers and toes. She looks at me and says “this color won’t work on your toes in the gel.” So at this point I’m basically so irritated she’s telling me I’m not going to be able to have the same color on my nails and toes, so she grabs the regular polish that I originally picked out and at this point I wasn’t leaving the salon with un-matching toes and nails. So she looks at me and says I need to pay her extra money for her to paint over my gel to match my toes which in the beginning I told her I wanted them to match with the same color. When she was painting my toes-she tells me my feet are “too dirty” to apply any color to the sides of them to completely cover the nail? Which made no sense at all because she managed to do it. Not only that but I had showered just hours before coming to the salon-my feet were definitely very clean. This was the absolute worst experience ive ever had in my entire life at a nail salon and I definitely do not recommend you to go there.

I went in with my girlfriend today, I was getting a fill with gel polish and she got a regular manicure with gel polish. The sign with the pricing said that a fill costs $15 and a regular manicure costs $14. The sign didn’t mention the extra cost for gel but I was assuming it cost $7-$10 extra like any other place I’ve been to. I go to pay and the lady tells me that my total is SIXTY FIVE DOLLARS. That means that the gel for my fill cost $20 and my girlfriends cost $16. Both more than the work we got done. How does gel cost more than an actual manicure or a fill at that? We asked and they told us because “gel gives a 2 week guarantee”. Well that’s true no matter where you go and other places don’t charge anywhere near that much JUST for gel. This place is a scam.

I have gone to VNails on a few occasions and to be honest I appreciate there work. The customer service on the other hand left much to be desired. I went Tuesday to get my nails done anf the lady that was doing my nails seemed to not be in a good mood from the start and by the end she had jerked and snatched at my hands several times. It was extremely uncomfortable. I did not leave a tip which seemed to further upset the lady but I did not receive good service. I apologized several fimes for not holding my hands well but she kept sayin g I was fine. I wish I knew her name. Anyhoo they seem to have a low opinion of people of color. And this is not everyone but the woman that I interacted with.
