Ive done tons of business here, and whether Im buying or just getting my jewelry cleaned, the employees have great customer service. Theyre very polite
Ashley totally hooked me up shining up a gold locket I’ve had for many years. She cleaned the chain several times until it was sparky and new! It’s not even a kay locket, I was in there picking up another ring. Thanks Ashley!!!!
I wish I was better with hearing and remembering names because the young man and the dark haired woman working there on Thursday the 6th of January were absolutely great. My daughter went in to get her engagement ring and the service was great. Also, I decided last minute to trade in my own ring so my daughter could get the absolute best ring and the process was painless. Thank you for helping my daughter get the ring of her dreams.
This Kays does bare minimum for customers. The Puyallup store has better customer service. I was told I had to pay for a bracelet in full then they will deduct the price of original bracelet for upgrade when it comes in so obviously because of price I couldnt afford it without trading in the bracelet. I call the Puyallup store and they said it will be in next week and they were able to order it without me paying because Im a loyal customer and the price amount of the bracelet they understood that without trade in I couldnt afford it. Its on its way. Avoid tacoma Kays for they dont wana go out there way for loyal repeated customers.
I usually have wonderful service here. BUT I just spoke to a Madi and she was very rude and unfriendly. Beware.
I stood in this store for 15 minutes before anyone said a word to me. A woman came up and asked if I’d been helped and when I told her no she walked away to find somebody to help me. She asked the elderly man working there if he was with anyone to which he shooed her away! Two other associates were standing around doing nothing so I just left. Can’t believe how horrible the customer service was. I felt ignored and I will be shopping elsewhere in the future. Get it together.
Wow, this was the worst experience Ive ever had. I was selling a diamond ring bought from Weisfields. They said Kays is the same as Weisfields, they honor the lifetime warrantee. I said the diamond has an inscription on it like all Leo diamonds. I asked the lady to verify that the diamond has the inscription. She then proceeded to ruin my sale because I didnt have the receipt to look up the warrantee. I had the certification, the appraisal, I didnt need the original receipt for the sale. But I do have it at home. I asked them to just look to see if they could see the inscription. The lady REFUSED!! THEN THE MANAGER BACKED HER UP AND TOLD ME TO LEAVE!! NEVER GO HERE!!!! THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS LOST BECAUSE THEY WANTED THE SALE!! OMG IM SO ANGRY!!!!! THEY CALLED ME A THIEF!!! WHAT!?!? THERE IS ZERO RESALE VALUE ON THIS $5000 RING FROM KAYS. DONT GO HERE!!! Forget the receipt, they will call you a thief!!!
Great customer service, they clean and inspected all my jewelry 30+ pieces. Handle my repairs and was out the door in about 15 - 20 minutes .
The Service was outstanding and our jewelry is beautiful!!
Always well taken care of at Kay Jewelers, and during this Covid time they were very careful to bring safety to their customers. Dont be worried to go ...
The staff is not inviting. There’s a reason the other jewelry stores have lines and they don’t.
Excellent customer serviceSo friendlyI will recommend to everyoneSo helpfulI will shop here moreI am so happy how they treated me
Tara is amazing! She is extremely helpful and she knows her stuff about jewelry specially diamond rings! She just knows what a girl wants I highly recommend seeing Tara for any jewelry inquiries. I will definitely be back
Kay jewelers is really great to their customers you should come see Madi she is the greatest and gives people good discounts. 😊
I loved working with Tara and Mark. I’m a very picky individual and they took the time to look all over the store to find me EXACTLY what I was looking for. I also had a price range I wanted to stay within and they made it work. I appreciate their time and hard work. Their customer service was excellent and I’m recommending all my friends and family to them. Thank you
I came here to return and exchange a ring that was purchased a month ago. I dealt with Mark. He was so awesome to work with. I wish I originally purchased the ring with him. He was so personable. I definitely plan on returning and buying specifically from Mark, he is well deserving of the commission.
I shopped at this store today and my experience was absolutely excellent. I worked with a beautiful young lady by the name of Madi and she was extremely helpful. Thanks to her my Christmas/Birthday present came together beautifully. She is also the reason I am going to make this my store as long as I am in Washington.
Genuine, unique, professional, and caring staff. Because if the amazing experience wuth kay jewelers staff, i will be a customer for life! Thank you!
The manager and the staff were very nice
RON was fantastic at the TACOMA MALL. he even loaned me his reading glasses to me because I forgot mine in car.. after my horrible experience at the KAYS IN Auburn. I now have a new friend. THANK YOU RON!!!!!!
Went in just to look and get some ideas and the young man who helped us (Mark, I think? On Friday June 11 around 11am-12pm) was fantastic. He helped me figure out a lot of my preferences, confirmed sizes, and did not pressure us at all. Overall, great service and we hope to return!
Went in. Asked if they had any of Celebrimbors line of rings. Though they do not, they were very friendly and accommodating.0/10 - for not having any of the rings of mortal men, elf-kings or dwarf-lords10/10 - Customer Service9/10 - Great selection of diamonds and precious stonesDISCLAIMER: They do not mount jewels and stones into weapons...asked for a friend.
Very professional but down to earth folks working there.
I would give this place and company a zero if I could, I think one star is way too much praise. Anyway, Ill copy and paste my gripe that I sent them for you guys to read: in short stay away, go to Ben Bridge, J Lewis, Joseph Jewelry:By far this company has had the worst customer service I have ever experienced in any jewelry store period. The Kay Jewelers store in the Tacoma Mall in Tacoma, WA are full of inconsistent, inconsiderate, dishonest staff. Ive purchased three Movado watches over the years from them (and another Kay Jeweler store in Colorado Springs, CO) totaling over $3,000 and they have treated my expensive watches like they are cheap Timex watches from the grocery store. Where are they are inconsistent you ask? Well, I take one of my watches in to get the battery replaced and the staff member told me that the watch needed to be sent out to Movado in New Jersey because they arent authorized to work on such things (which I understand and would agree with no matter what the time frame is) and they gave me a slip telling me it would be about four weeks or so. The watch was fixed and returned to me, no problem. Fast forward three months or so ahead when I bring back another one of my Movado timepieces and the woman (seemingly manager) starts taking it apart in the store and tells me it will be about 45 minutes or so and that I can walk around the mall to shop. I said to her, “Aren’t you supposed to send that out? She informed me that she might have the battery on hand and that it would save me about two to three weeks (I prefer it being sent out) to get it fixed in house instead of being sent to Movado. At this point she had the watch in pieces and I had no choice. She found a battery (may have been used because I brought the watch back a month later for a dead battery) and replaced it.This part really infuriates me. I brought back my $1,700 Movado Chronograph watch to get the battery replace for what I thought was a simple fix, ended up being the death of this watch. Again, the staff informed me that it was being sent out to Movado to be worked on and I received a work slip indicating that. Instead, I get a phone call from the guy who took my watch in saying that my watch was broken and needed much more than a battery. HOW!? All I did was wear it! Come to find out, I go to the store and the guy took it apart, trying to be dishonest and replace the battery in the store, when theyre not authorized to work on these watches (I called Movado and they told me this). Then he told me it needs to go out to a specialist to get fixed and he would give me an estimate on how much it would cost. Come to find out it needs a whole new internal piece and the estimate was $500, also, he sent it to a third party....not Movado. I took my watch back and I told him I would send it to Movado myself. To this day I still have my $1,700 Chronograph in a bag in pieces...Along with this experience and the fact that they try and up-sell my wife a new, bigger ring every time she goes in to get her ring cleaned (as if this is some kind of used car dealership), Im done with Kay Jewelers. Your app is horrible, your customer service is horrible, your selection is horrible, and I highly regret buying anything from here and the “used car salesman” staff you have working here. We will be selling all of our Kay jewelry so we dont ever have to deal with this again.
Lack of communication
Peter, Tim and Sandy are literally the reason I keep returning. They’ve always taken care of me and the needs I had every time I came in and that goes places with me. There’s a reason I recommend them to friends and family. They truly love what they do and love helping customers!
I went to this Kay Jewelers in Tacoma and got absolutely no service. The two white jewelers looked at me and my wife, and went back to doing nothing. What really sucks is Kay bought Weisfield were we got excellent service and never felt bias undertones.
Exceptional assistance and pieces available. The manager was extremely helpful to my disabled husband to have items she knew I was looking at available for him to look at and buy without waiting. Thank you Holly Berry!
All these stories about horrible customer service are accurate. I was suggested to go to the mall kiosk to get my watch fixed on something they broke who they then tried to put the blame on me when it was fine when I took it in. I honestly thought I was taking a 5 minute trip to get my watch readjusted and now has been more than 5 weeks without my watch. Ive had good customer service at a different Kays but this place is ridiculously horrible.
Went in looking for a new wedding set for my wife and I, Tara was fantastic we were in and out in about an hour which was quick considering what we were looking for.
Beware if you ask them to replace a watch battery in a Fossil watch. The last time I did it, they said it wasn’t the battery so I sent my watch to the Fossil repair shop & it was fine until I needed a battery again. Same thing happened - is this a coincidence or do they not know how to work on Fossil watches? The gal who helped me said “oh, take it to the watch repair kiosk” but I said I had a lifetime battery replacement then she said, “let me ask someone else to do it so I don’t scratch your case cuz my hands aren’t working well.” The man she asked refused to do it so she proceeded to do it herself. After a while, she found another guy to help because she appeared to be struggling with it. He finished putting the battery in then told me it wasn’t the battery & the watch was broken. Hmmm, this doesn’t seem right. I don’t have proof, but I suspect the gal messed up the movement function. Beware! They need to train their employees better. I’ve lost confidence in this Kay’s store. The watch is no longer in warranty so I’m out a beautiful watch.
Yikes! Please dont make a purchase here with an expectation of hassle free shopping. You may also want to drop the expectation of the competency level of the staff completing simple things such as ring sizing. The (very nice) ring I purchased disappeared for 3 months and finally came back - damaged and missing a stone. Management decided it was not returnable because of their 60 day policy even though they were the ones that had it for almost 90 days. The older gentleman who sold me the ring and set up a Kay card for me was extremely rude until he figured out HE was the one responsible. Their products are shiny in the store and duller than dull outside. Guess I should have taken my business elsewhere.
Horrible, and disrespectful customer service. Never coming back.
Holly began helping us then had Tim assist us when she needed to step away. Tim was great- personable and kind. He listened to what my preferences were and showed me what he thought my align. I saw a very vintage marquee ring with filigree like carvings and beautiful details. It was just a little too thin on its own as I prefer wider bands. We looked at several more rings but I ended up going back to the marquee. I wondered if there was a way to make it exactly what I wanted. Tim had shown me solitaires with different guards and I thought maybe a guard would work with the marquee. He did his best to bend the guards and place the marquee ring inside. Because the marquee band is wider than the solitaire rings that are normally supposed to be placed inside, it wasnt a perfect fit; however, after the sautering it look and fit as if it was always a part of the ring. Tim then helped us look for a ring for my fiance. He chose tungsten carbine because of its durability. We received 30% off the Neil Lane marquee as it was on clearance and 20% off the guard and mens ring. We purchased the Neil Lane ring first, then used the certificate money we earned towards the other two rings. If you come here we highly suggest Tim or Holly!
Jordan was a great help
Where to begin? I bought an engagement ring for my fiancé (now wife) in August last year. Within the first few days of her having it, the diamond came loose. We took it in to get it resized and have the diamond tightened and to look at wedding bands in September. We ordered bands that month (a white gold band for me, and a rose gold ring for my wife) and were given November as the arrival date. In order to use our Kay bucks and take advantage of a sale that was going on, I actually bought a white gold band that was not my size and ordered the correct size to exchange. In December, we had not yet heard from them, so we called. They had no record of me having purchased anything from them despite the fact that I was standing there with the wrong-sized ring in my hand. I had to produce a credit card statement to prove that I had bought the ring there. Once they found the prior purchase, we learned that they had never ordered my ring. My wifes ring had been ordered (and had arrived), and they said that they were about to return it because they hadnt heard back from us. Somehow between my previous visit and this one, my email in their computer system had been changed. When we arrived to pick hers up, it was the wrong size. Shes a 5.5, and, rather than ordering a 6 and resizing it, they took a 7 and resized it to a 6, stating that one whole size was the maximum for resizing. They tried to convince her it would be fine until she flat out told them she wasnt accepting the ring this way and that they needed to do it correctly. My ring was re-ordered with a new arrival date of February, and my wifes ring was ordered as well. When we went to pick them up in February, and my wifes ring was still too big. Fortunately the ring counter came in and happened to recognize our names. She recalled there being 2 orders for us, and she came out with the correct ring. The one they were giving my wife was the same one theyd previously tried to give her. When they brought mine out, it was yellowed (like white gold does after being worn... but it was the whole ring). Were also fairly sure its not the same ring I had ordered. I know a white gold band is a white gold band, but the one that arrived that day had a peaked contour instead of an evenly rounded contour. I dont care that much other than for the fact that I dont know how the value of this ring compares to the one that Id actually ordered. I was appreciative of the fact that they gave me the plan that allows me to have the ring resized and also re-rhodium plated without charging me. Had it not been for that, I would have rated them at one star. The store personnel were very nice about everything (other than trying to convince my wife to accept a ring that was too big), but each visit seemed to come with a new disaster. It got to the point where we would joke about going by Kay and being able to just pop in and out in a minute since we were just picking something up.
I brought my ring in to have it inspected and all’s they did was clean it and marked that they checked it! I hope I don’t loose my diamond due to their poor quality check.
Le Vian. Simply stunning. Amazing colors! Special event next week, cant wait!
Worst f***in costumer service ever. So my wife was next to be helped by a rep, my wife was just gonna pay bill. A couple came in and sat down and start looking at rings. One sales rep got done helping a costumer after 5-10 minutes. And as my wife walk up to the register, the sales rep said to my wife, oh I think theyre next pointing to the couple sitting down. Like really?!?! They tryna make sale than service.
Worst customer service I have ever expierenced. I bought a ring from them and was told it would be ready the 1st of March. Its a drive for me to get to the mall so I figured Id call them first to make sure the ring is there. Ive called them about 10 times and no one has even answered the phone. This happens every time I call with questions regarding purchased items, as well as questions about my account. These people have no idea what customer service is, and how to keep customers happy. I highly suggest that if youre going to purchase jewelry, that you dont go to Kay. You will get screwed over.
Horrible customer service, they don’t know how to communicate with customers, or solve your problems. If you need to go to Kay, save yourself some time and trouble and go to different location.
I purchased a watch here, and had to send it back for repair, its has taken over 6 1/2 weeks, and still without my watch. This service sucks. And no one can give you answers of why its taking so long. And Kay is the largest Jeweler in the USA. Be careful were you spend your money. Big may not always be best.
Opened a 1500$ account 1yr 10months who and trying to get last band for my wife ring and they closed my account without telling me and want me to reply and finance the last band. What a rip off of a company.
Horrible customer service. The woman with braces is very rude and does not know how to communicate with customers. I would not recommend this location at all! Really bad service.
Poor customer service. I guess I wasnt dressed to their liking to receive service. All I wanted to do was pick up my ring and I felt ignored standing at the counter while they please others.
Bad customer service very snobby when asked if they had a certain cut and not hopful whatsoever. Go to a different Kay Jewelers.
Downside is it takes 2 weeks to have anything done to your ring because they dont do repairs/resizing in house. Great service, I havent seen any good reviews really for Kay and I never understood why.I love my engagement ring from here and its very nice they take care of it and insure the diamond for life as long as you bring it in every 6 months for inspection. Even when I was a bit late on it they said it was ok just tey and come in before 6 months next time.
Everyone is very helpful and attentive to what u need.
Thank you Julie for awsome customers service!!
Great staff and product
Worth the drive to go to Puyallup. These people are morons,
