Nicci cut my beard for the first time in 5 years. I really need to get looking good for my new job and I believe he did a great job. I felt like I got what I wanted without being extreme.

Ive had two cuts at Tacoma Shave and Im really happy. I had been going to the same salon for 15 years in Seattle (where I work) and after months without a cut because of the shutdown, I tried these guys out when they reopened before my old salon. As much as I love my old stylist, I cant deny that the vibe at Tacoma Shave is great; easy going and unapologetically male. Kyle is my new barber, give him a try!

This place is just stellar. The guys are top notch. The prices went up from the last time I went so I cant afford it anymore but it is still a bargain for what you get. Basically a whole hour on your fade. Well worth the try, though be aware they are busy so you should try to book an appointment to avoid hefty wait times.

First time getting a beard trim here and didnt have a preference on who helped me. I didnt have any wait time, as Victor invited me to his chair as I walked in. He did an outstanding job listening to what I wanted and exceeded my expectations. He took his time to make sure I looked good! I shaved my bald head myself before going in and I must have missed a couple of spots, but Victor took care of it! Thank you!

I had one good cut here and that barber left. Since that first time I have tried walking in twice and was turned away because they didnt have time even though the business was still to be open for 2 more hours.I have tried calling to make an appointment numerous times to avoid being turned away, but they do not answer their phones. I honestly dont understand how a business like this stays in business, as from my one time actually being able to get a haircut it seems they just cut their friends hair.I found where the first barber moved to and will just be going there from now on even with a pretty drastic increase in price.Be better Tacoma Shave Co.

Place is clean barbers are friendly and experienced the cut I just received was very detailed and clean. Kyle was the one I got today and he knows his way around with clippers.

Walked right in and my barber looked real young, so I was a little hesitant, but took time on my cut and beard trim and couldn’t be more satisfied. Real professional service from such a young barber. Highly recommend this shop

My favorite barber shop in town. Its pretty much walk in only so expect a little wait most of the time. Chris clipped and shaved the best cut Ive had in a long time. We had great conversations and he took his time to make things perfect.

I sit for Javier, who is an incredible barber. The pricing is competitive, with each sitting lasting over 30 minutes. This shop specializes in fades, with old school atmosphere and technique. Word of warning, there are no appointments, so wait times do vary greatly depending on when you come in. Although thus review is for the shop as a whole, I can only say is that Javier is worth the wait.

First time at this place and i got attended right away. Granted its a Thursday around 1pm. The thing is, i asked the red haired gentleman with a beard (didnt bother to ask his name) to give me a low fade with skin at the bottom, and to blend in the mid section of my sides and back, and 1 inch off the top of my head. What did i get? A hacked cut at the top, a semi decent fade, and about 3 inches off the top. I dont know what it is about certain barbers not knowing what 1 inch is. If youre in this profession you should have a better understanding of what length is. The hair isnt even the same length from front to back. Just gave me whatever he thought he heard vs actually listening to what i asked. I regret paying it and never coming back to this place. Some of the other barbers looked like they knew more of what they were doing so its not to belittle their work but all it takes is one bad experience. Im giving it a 2 star only because of the other barbers seemed better and the fade was OK.

I had terrible experience with the guy with orange hair! He literally did not cut 20% of my hair! Charged me 30$ i usually get charged 20-25 because i have basic haircut. and hr only wanted cash! I gave him 40$ and he asked if i want the change back!! Terrible experience! I like the other guys.

Came in for the first time and had a terrific hair cut and beard trim. Service was excellent and the price was reasonable - well worth the end result. I will definitely return.

Ive previously worked with Nicci at another barber shop and he is great to work with. Professional and does a great job. I was excited to see that he had set up shop with another location. Sadly, we were told no walk ins available on a Sunday, and my girlfriend (who has a high fade, squared off, and a hard line) made an appointment with (I think) Vincent (he never bothered to give his name) for the following day as Nicci had nothing available when she was off work. When she showed up for her appointment today there was no greeting, no Im running late, or anything else. After waiting for 15 minutes past the time agreed to, my girlfriend notified him she was leaving to smoke a cigarette. Without making eye contact or even looking up he nodded, Uh huh... and she left. If you cant be bothered to treat people with courtesy, especially a new customer, dont expect that they will want to do business with you or return. After working in customer service for many years, I understand an off day or a busy time, but this was not just poor customer service, it was rude. Ill be happy to work with Nicci again if he changes shops, but we wont be visiting Tacoma Shave Co. again.ETA: Edited to correct the name of the barber. The owner has reached out to me and apologized for the experience in his shop, which was nice.

Wanted to try based off reviews. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECIEVED. 3 FREE barbers with no one in the waiting area and none of them want to cut my hair. They all look at each other like “I’m not doing it!” I just walked out after they avoided eye contact and didn’t say anything. What a joke. This is your job and the store doesn’t close for an hour. I will make sure to tell EVERYONE I know about this occurrence and warn them to avoid this lazy barbershop.EDITED: The location responded “sorry you feel that way” and that they were closing their shop. Clearly didn’t read my review thoroughly. Take this as a sign people. If they don’t care about their dissatisfied customers, it’s not a sign of a good business. Now please excuse me while I go Yelp, BBB, and every other rating site on you. :)

The cut was great. The beard trim was excellent. The wait was rediculous - be warned. They do not take reservations and you cant check in and shop the area. You have to wait your turn.Saturday afternoon. Took 4 hours start to finish

Got home to see my hair had been hacked, sadly too because service was friendly enough. The fade was good but the top was way off, as if he really messed up and went too far. I didn’t get to see it until it was already done or else I would have stopped him. Too late to say anything and for what it cost me I won’t be going back. No hard feelings though, cool looking place at the least.

Justin is the Best barber 💈 in the shop. Javier is also very good, but NOT great with the scissors ✂. There is the 3rd wheel, he cant cut. Walk in, never appointment. If you dont want to wait, you must walk in like 0850

This is the quietest barber shop Ive ever been in. And I cant say that I didnt enjoy it that way. My hair looks great and that Strait razor shave is the best. Also the price is unbelievably cheap so I always tip.

Would give zero stars if I could.. My husband went to go get a haircut which he had tried one before and had horrible treatment then as well but wanted to give them a second chance and they were once again rude and made it seem like my husband was intruding on them there was a man who had an open chair mind you we called ahead of time to schedule an appointment and got told they are only doing walk ins so thats what he did. A Male in there said he was waiting on an appointment which is what my husband wanted from the beginning. Ugh all around just horrible customer service and unprofessionalism will never go back there again.
