I can proudly say that not only do I go to this shop exclusively, my wife now goes to this shop! Ive been a long time client of Gs that has turned into a friendship over the years that I cherish. But today my wife came in and sat in Christys chair, and the smile she put on her face after they were done is priceless! If I could give yall more than 5 stars I would. Thank you both for having the utmost professionalism, while also providing an atmosphere that feels like home. I will continue to go to Georgette for as long as she will hold scissors and sheers in her hands.

The best haircut I’ve ever had, in the most comfortable Setting. I gave a very basic outline of what I wanted and she delivered perfectly. Super friendly, super fast, & super amazing. I really appreciated that she asked me my pronouns. I can’t say enough about my kid’s experience with Georgette. Hair and identity are important to most of us, but taking on a middle schooler that wanted to trade in extra long hair for a shorter, more non-binary cut requires skill and consideration that you can’t find just anywhere. This shy kid felt comfortable, seen, and considered from the moment they walked in. The cut was exactly what they asked for- the good vibes and affirmation were a bonus. Thank you, Georgette.

I was looking for a LGBTQ friendly hair stylist as some salons I have been to over the years never quite understood what I was looking for and the normal barbers I went to were too masculine in their styles for my liking but here G listened to what I was looking for and delivered a style that I love! Area was very clean, G was very professional yet personable, and I was in and out timely! Great experience and I will definitely be back!

Theres a laid-back confidence to Georgette and her space. Its comfortable and un-assuming, but she is very professional. It was the perfect mix for me. She checked in about the style I wanted (bring a photo) and got started. We had a great conversation and she gave me a great haircut. I left excited that I had found my barber. The most difficult part about moving from the east coast (Maryland) was finding a new barber that I could trust. My first couple attempts at finding barbers in Tacoma left me disillusioned about whether I would find a quality cut at an affordable price. I was really fortunate to land at Georgettes barber shop! What can I say - Georgette is the best in the 253. Always does a great job. Takes care of my hair. Lots of attention to my neck and beard. Best experience I’ve had so far living in Tacoma. Atmosphere of the place is very laid back. You enter through the alley. Garage door opens up which is great for ventilation, and she’s taking COVID-19 seriously.
