I was kicked out after telling the barber that I didn’t like the haircut. Very sensitive dude (Tasman Holloway; scroll down and you can see he reviewed his own business). It was rushed and the fade is very choppy from moving so fast in a poor attempt at blending with no guard. Cut with the razor. Proof is in the pictures. Your experience may vary. Good luck. I highly recommend finding another barber. Somebody mentioned he’s a family man but he was talking about getting at some married Asian woman in front of his seemed to be 10 to 12 year old son.

We needed a last minute appointment for my son on a Friday evening. I quickly booked an open slot online and was relieved to have just found anyone. To our pleasant surprise, the environment in the shop was sports themed (my son is a basketball player) and he left with the biggest smile on his face. He said and I quote Mom, I know I havent seen a lot in my 10 years but this was the coolest and quickest hair cut I ever got. He now only wants to come here.

Great barber and owner Taz, great vibe, by appointment preferably but that keeps you from having to wait around all day.My son was loving his design that he picked.Cant wait for the new shop to open, my son is excited to come back for another design.

If youre looking for a clean fast cut this is the guy. Met him late Sunday and he gave me the best line up and fade ive had in years. Good social skills and he gave me some tips on supplements for workouts

Had an appointment at 5:30pm, move same day to 6:00pm okay buy me; however, my son arrived asked if my son too much, and I quote (Am not trying to deal with with a moving kid). On top of that he told us to wait because he was going to serveces a regular client first. I showed the design my son wanted and he stated (nah am not doing all that with this heat and this late) mind you he moves our visit to a later time. Very rude and unprofessional.... Never again 😒

This was the fastest and one of the best haircuts I’ve had in a Washington barbershop coming from the south. I was impressed. And when I say fast, TAZ the Barber can give you a clean precise cut with the spray faster than any barber I’ve been to in the Washington area. And I’ve been too many in my 2 year stay here and they don’t compare. He takes pride in his work and the shop and s state of the art 👌🏾 💈

Complete waste of time, made an appointment drove all the way downtown to the location on Pacific Avenue, I’m standing in front of a door that says cut lounge that is locked. Not sure what address is listed but it’s clearly not a barbershop. Not sure if location has been changed or something but I wish it would’ve been updated or at least you guys could answer your phone when I call. Thanks for a complete waste of time, so here’s a bad review.

Very poor customer service the owner is very disrespectful he over charged me what the original price was than he stalked me out side being very aggressive as i was getting in my car he stood there taunting me i was also in uniform i am a United States solider i have never been treated such away in uniform or out very poor customer service and rude very loud and obnoxious i will not be returning and will spread the word of how rude and unprofessional the owner and the employees are ! (The owner is in the green jacket)

Came in regardless of some poor reviews. After hearing owner brag about his poor treatment of others and basically scamming other businesses chose to leave. After reading even more negative reviews I find it appalling and hypocritical he charges his customers for poor services rendered. SHAMEFUL!

Taz is a true professional and treats all of his clients with so much care and attention. He is so great with kids as well! I highly recommend his shop.

Unfortunately they are closed for remodeling, which is completely understandable. However, customers are scheduling online not knowing that they are closed, and showing up to see a sign on the door. I was able to contact the number and was hung up on a few times before I just decided to send a text. I received a response only to be told several times that they were closed for renovations. I explained that they should update the site so customers are aware, and was just given the same response continuously about being closed for renovations. There were 5 customers total standing outside, in the rain confused. One guy obviously had something important he needed the cut for, as he was asking if we knew any barbers open at this time. It was 5:30pm.

Miss T did a great job. She twisted my hair, gave me a haircut, and trimmed my beard in less then 45mins. Appreciate the love! Will definitely be back!

Fly shop! Ive brought my nephew into Upper Level a couple times and he LOVES it! The atmosphere is fun and relaxed. The service is fast and friendly. We were helped immediately and out with a perfect fade in about 10 minutes. Literally...PERFECT! We will definitely be returning. Thank you!

I visted upper level because of all the positive reviews, and very clean looking cuts. Atmosphere inside is really chill and friendly. I had my haircut there three times each time I had a worse experience. First time was good clean cut an the barber didnt rush. The second time was alright, the day after I had a nice scab from the straight edge razor on my forhead. Its went away after a few days. The third visit I was in the chair for around 3 mins (no one was even waitting behind me) abit of burning during the cut is normal with the straight edge blade I figured. Showered when I got home and went to bed. Next morning I awake to see just how much he had rushed. When using the straight razor it take some finesse perhaps he was just being overly confidant. The face is the first thing most people notice about a person. I dont want mine to be nicked up again. I wont be back anytime soon.

Man, I forget the name of the dude who cut my hair but TOP NOTCH work. The fade, and lines (beard and everything) were CLEAN. I give him a 5 star, but for future reference, you could have used a Pinch more Aftershave.

Miss T was kind and patient with my 6 year old son Logan. The cut was quick and stylish. She asked me what I wanted and explained the terminology I didnt understand. I was very happy with my little mans hair. He looks so handsome!

Took my sons here to get a back to school cut. Will definitely be returning, the atmosphere was cool and the barbers are very good at what they do. Cant remember watching one person walk out without a clean, professional cut.

I came to get a cut on my birthday and got denied. The owner cut me 1 time and I guess they have a rule that only the owner can cut you if he cut you 1st. I drove 40 minutes for nothing. Like I said it was my birthday and I got denied a cut! The lady barber was very unprofessional when making me leave. Now I have to go search for another shop at the last minute. I have birthday plans! Very upsetting

Shop nice real nice atmosphere cool. But rushed the cut dont know if he was new but line not cool fade not cool. Not saying I wouldnt go back but would go to another barber.

I have never been a fan of hats but I had no choice but to buy one after my haircut here. The haircut itself was rushed and my lineup was uneven. The barber (Mrs.T) was more interested in having a conversation with the barber next to me then she was cutting my hair. After looking in a mirror I had realized that she had also marked up my face in multiple places while she was cutting me. And to top it all off I was charged $30 for a atrocious haircut. Save your money and find a different barber.

You hire inexperienced people. The last 3 times I have been there, have not been good experiences at all. I understand people learning, and some have better skill than others. But as an owner of a business for you to notice how bad my haircut is before I leave and say “come to me next time, I’m better” is outrageous! You should be able to have the confidence in anyone you staff in your business to get the job done. Very nice staff, equipment, and facility. However you need to put more time and effort into training your staff before letting them cut, even if it is for a walk-in. This is why I won’t bring my business here again, nor recommend this place to anyone else.

By far thee most convenient, relaxed barbershop Ive been to in a long time. Had a gentleman name Rainer who cut my hair and did and outstanding job. The vibe in there is very calming. Place is kept very neat! The drawings they have on the walls are very well designed. TVs setup so you can watch as they cut. Ill be back very soon. And dont forget the ring of lights 👌🏽

I booked an appointment for a “Kids Cut”. When we arrived, we couldn’t get in and called the number and the barber advised us that he “doesn’t really cut kids hair like that” for insurance liability purposes. Why do you list kids cuts for $30? I won’t book again and services weren’t performed but not happy about the way I was spoken to on the phone. Super unprofessional.

1st time coming in to the shop, new to Washington from California asked a random dude where he got his cut because it looked clean and told me to come here. The owner Tas was the man. At first I felt like he was rushing the cut but his accuracy made up for his speed he knew what he was doing. Never even worked on my head before but after he was done I looked like a brand new man. Had a date later that night and got some action after 😉 thanks Tas and upper level cut lounge. Will be returning for my next cut.

Moved to Tacoma about a year and half now, it was hard to find a good barber, but once I came across upper level I’ve been good. Not only do they have good energy and great people working there with massive skills, but the spot itself it’s dope. It’s always a great warming feeling when u walk in there and u know u won’t be disappointed.

Walked in with no appointment and I was seated instantly. My guy Nate hooked it up with the best cut I’ve had in a long time. They pay attention to detail here. If you’re looking for a great quality and affordable cut I’d highly reccomend Upper Level

Based on the reviews of this shop, I had very high expectations. The shop itself was very nice but don’t let that deceive you. G the barber, the guy that cut my hair did horrible on my fade and cut it unevenly. In addition, he didn’t cut the top evenly either and left a portion of it untouched. The crazy part is that he charged me 35 dollars for a mediocre cut. Not coming back!

I would give zero stars if possible. I took my son here for a haircut, that turned out to be a COMPLETE disaster!!! Even another staff member couldnt believe how terrible my sons hair looked. When I asked for it to be fixed, the guy who cut it became extremely rude and defensive. The mans words were, I NEVER mess up!!! When I got tired of hearing him complaining and arguing about how he never messes up I requested that the other staff member fix my sons hair instead. After that request, the man became irate and asked kicked us out of his establishment. Thankfully he was considerate enough to give us our money back. Otherwise we would have paid for a terrible haircut and razor cuts all over my sons head!!! I would NEVER recommend this place to ANYONE!!! The man who cut my sons hair was also the owner of the establishment!!!

I arrived pretty late, but they didn’t turn me away. The owner gave me a fresh cut and turned what used to be a rough looking cut into something crisp and fresh. Highly recommend. They were professional, thorough, and prompt.

Bad customer service, very bad. No kind of greeting or whatsoever. The guys working at the time did not inform us about the waiting time so we just sat there. The guy with locks kept chit chatting with the customer he was serving and taking his sweet time. We waited for half an hour and we were the only ones there. Aint recommending this barber to anyone at all. Wasted 30mins there.

Cut was quick but unprofessional and scattered. Barber misheard me and did not follow up. Heavy handed with both trimmer and spray. Will not be returning.

Destroyed my husbands hair for our wedding day. He shaved off the back of his hair because he wouldnt notice and then failed to line anything up. It literally looked like a 5 year old cut his hair. When he walked in the door to our house, i was so upset to see what they did to his hair and he had to pay for that mess. NEVER AGAIN!!!!

We havent had a bad cut from anyone here but I have to give a special thanks to Ms.T. She did exactly what I wanted for my 6 year old. And he sat perfectly still for her which is rare. Normally he whines a bit even if I try to bribe him. He was very comfortable with her.

One of the worst shops I’ve been to in WA. I walked in and got no greeting then the lady I went to seems to have no idea what a crisp fresh lining is. All she ever says is I got you. I got razor scars all over my forehead from when she put the razor on it. To add to that the shop that’s located in Lacey no one is ever on time. Just all around horrible service, I’m from Chicago so I know what a good cut is. Though I can’t speak for everyone I don’t recommend going to the lady. Save your money.

Place is terrible if your not African American or if you don’t personally know the barbers. Walked in had an appointment scheduled thru the app they want you to do it thru and not a single word was said to me. Said ok sat down waited 10 mins. In that 10 minute time frame 4 African Americans walked in main barber greeted every single one. Last dude was a walk-in asked if there where any open chairs barber said yeah I got you sit right here. Literally looked the dude in his eyes and walked out not saying a word to me. Not a way to run a business. The barber shop it’s self was clean and relaxing but the actual barbers are terrible at keeping customers. If they don’t care more power to them but I would not recommend this place.
