They charged us 150 for a diagnostic we told them we already did and brought in the results and codes for the diagnostic we did at home and they kept the car for an entire week attempting to do just a diagnostic test and when it came to the work we actually needed they wanted to charge us another 120 just to lift up the cover of the timing belt to see of it was lose. These people will rip you off and over charge you . Dont go in go somewhere else

I have gone to precision tune on a few occasions previously and had great service but this time made me decide never again. I had an appointment at 10 am and showed up around 945 for my appointment. Upon walking in I noticed the gentleman at the front counter with a customer, so I stood back and waited my turn. Standing there I could clearly hear the conversation between the worker and the customer and the manner in which this worker was speaking to the customer is beyond words. The worker told the customer to stop whining like a little girl and that the customer could take his vehicle somewhere else after hearing that, I walked out and did not keep my 10 o clock appointment. If he was speaking to a little old man in that manner, I will not spend my hard earned money in that establishment.

At first I had to wait for my prescheduled appointment. As I was eating a snack and waiting, I was rudely told by the boss there to put on a mask. Once I left to take a mask I returned and found that the manager there already gave my appointment (which I had to reserve days in advance) to someone who was in line behind me. Very unprofessional and very rude. There are better places to get any car work done. Don’t recommend to anyone!P.S. they will charge you as much extra hidden fees as possible :)

EDIT after store response:My experience is from using Groupons (which they did sell and accept at the time of service). I chose not to use my last purchased Groupon due to poor service and not wanting them to break anything else.This location provides the worst customer service I have personally experienced when getting an oil change. They upsell on services you don’t need and have taken anywhere between an hour - three hours to get a routine oil change done despite having a scheduled appointment. I have also witnessed first hand, the person in charge yelling at his employees in front of customers. It’s overall an uncomfortable experience.In reference to the store response, I took my car in to multiple trusted sources after my visit and was told differently regarding issues. Car has been going strong for the last year with no issues.Do not trust places like this. Classic example of a shop that takes advantage of the knowledge gap between customers and mechanics. Plenty of better options locally.

Had appointment, got in right on time. However, was told I needed new inner tire rods, cause they were ready to fall off. Went to family mechanic, and a bolt needed to be tighten that is all. This place is very dishonest, all they had to do was charge me a inspection fee, and charge me the labor to tighten the bolt. I didnt need new tire rods at all. Spoke to a District Manager Melissa. After I told her, I wouldnt be doing business with PTC again. She told me thats fine, hope none of your parts fall off! How rude is that.

They did not do my complete service, but charged me for it anyways. They also have some hidden charges.I paid Precision Tune Auto Care to top off my fluids and do an oil change in my truck, they charged me for it. I left the shop and my brake light was still on, this was due to a slow brake fluid leak I already knew of.The technician noted the brake light was illuminated on his report, but still failed to top off the brake fluid. I bought some brake fluid to verify this was what was causing the light to come on, and as soon as I topped it off, the light went off.Then the manager also tried to charge me for a tire rotation (which I initially requested, then he suggested I didnt need). Only after having him double check if the tire rotation was done did he verify that it was NOT done and he removed the charge.I took 3 of my cars there that week and cant help but wonder what else I got charged for they didnt do?Hidden Charges:They charge for shop supplies of $2.67What does the service charge include?If you insist on going here, go on their website beforehand and print off a coupon before.

I came in for an oil change and tire rotation. During their thorough inspection they found that a couple of my filters were dirty and needed to be changed (showing me the dirty ones) and that my battery was near 0% and could die at any time. So I had them replace my battery and put in new filters. When checking out they ran down the list of everything they inspected and what they found and recommendations of things that needed to be done in the future along with a quote. I didnt at all feel taken advantage of as some places make you feel. I felt taken care of. I will be back for future services.

Their service is horrible they charged me originally for an hour for a diagnostic test which only took them 20 minutes they charged me for 30 they told me things that were wrong with my vehicle that were not wrong I went to go have a second opinion done and only half of the things that they said were wrong were actually wrong went in for a routing tune-up they came back after diagnostics giving me a bill that would be $1,700 for a 2015 Dodge

Id recommend this place! The mechanics are knowledgeable, reasonable and funny! They were able to see my car immediately without an appointment (~8AM on a Thursday) and had me back on the road in about an hour. In that hour, they explained what was going wrong (an older battery that was wasnt holding a charge) and checked my alternator to make sure that wasnt an issue either. Every step of the way was easy and without stress!

Crooks stay away. Had a coupon for $17 oil change crooks chargers $87.95 stay away! Rip off!!! There response is full of lies. Typical or a crooked business! They said they wouldn’t know the price until I came in on the parts delivery. I said I would like to know how much more. I waited 2 hours for my oil change and not once did they come and tell me how much it would cost before they did the work! Watch out for these crooks and there price of 32 for a filter check it out online you can get them for $8 crooks 100% better off at JIFFY LUBE right next door and 15 minute wait versus 2 hours! My feedback of what you can do better how about quote people the price before you do the work so they can tell you hello no!

I would highly recommend this place to anyone. I find it hard to trust mechanics and auto shops after jiffy lube stole the turbo from my car and stuff from in my car once too. Here at Precision Tune theyre honest people with awesome customer service. The manager Richie is really cool and down to earth. He is very jovial and honestly wants to help people out. Very quick, friendly, and on time .My only concern is a strange noise intermittently coming from dash/steering column area. It wasnt making that noise before. Its so strange I cant describe the sound . I have to get time to get back over there.Provided they sort this issue, I have every confidence recommending them as a business to make use of.

Clearly, theyre only posting here to look good on a 1 star review and arent interested in improving their service. Still a nope from me.Original review: They made three people sit in the lobby waiting for twenty minutes only to turn them away, telling them theyre closing soon. Furthermore, when one of us had the wherewithal to express dissent about this, the staff copped an attitude. We could have been somewhere else.Nope. Nopenopenopenope.

On my first visit the neglect and carelessness of the employee affected my experience. They left my oil cap loose which caused problems to my vehicle as well as my street and cost me time for clean up and money to replace the oil that I lost because of it. On top of it when brought to the managements attention i was brushed off and made to feel unimportant in the situation. They offered me my next oil change free to make up for the issue, which displeased me because i felt it was not enough to make up for the faulty service nor did i really want the negligent employees touching my vehicle again but i accepted because i didnt like to argue. But to make it worse when i called and scheduled the make up oil change and brought my vehicle in at appointment time i was sent away saying there was nothing they would do and i didnt need oil, the sticker on my windshield that precision care placed says otherwise. Lastly every experience was handled by the same man so he was aware of the wish washy customer service i received. I was disappointed and upset and therefore would never recommend a business of the sort because i wouldnt wish that on anyone else. It was unacceptable to say the least.

Got an emissions test here, my first one ever. I was a walk-in and it was extremely fast and easy. The building looks quite run-down and it was cold but I got in and out quickly and the guys were friendly. Cost $20, no idea if thats reasonable for emissions test but dont really care.

The groupon deal for an alignment worked out great. While they couldnt bring the car into specs 100%. They did drastically improve the steering and there was no pressure to have them repair more until I drove it for a while to try it out first. They did tell me exactly what I would have to do if I wanted to get the alignment 100% dialed.

I bought a coupon for $34.99 and it was for 4-wheel alignment at this location. After I made a appointment the manager told me that I have to pay $29.99 plus tax for alignment check and then I’ll have to use my coupon or pay $69.99 plus tax so I’ll have to pay $99.99 plus tax to get my alignment done. Bad advertising and wrong management run. I hope they will fix it!

Had to order a new part, which RockAuto sent wrong part. Got new part and first thing this morning took back to Precision Auto to install. New people at counter and the Manager, Richie, is gone. I was informed they longer take your parts to install, which I had ordered per our agreement. The price to install was also changed from 97.00 to almost 150.00. hanged the price to replace. I will NEVER use this company, on any level, again.

Usually I’ve never had a problem here but I bought a groupon for brakes and they didn’t honor it. They wouldn’t take it even though their store is listed as one of the stores that takes the Groupon. Called both parkland and Lakewood and they took it and even said the store had to honor it. They refused. I was very disappointed

Be Warned: the groupon for an alignment is contingent upon you first paying 30 additional dollars to have your car analyzed before it can be deemed acceptable to cash in the groupon. So of course if something else is wrong with your car you must first pay for the fixes in order to redeem the groupon. And you dont get your 30 bucks or your groupon back. It is a trick to try and get you to pay more to fix other things on your car.

TL:DR dont bother coming to this place, waste of time.Came in at 8:30 AM after being told that they dont take reservations. I was told that they wouldnt finish before they close (3pm). They had one person doing the mechanical work, customer service, and answering phones. There were 6 customers just waiting at the main lobby. Even he said that he called corporate for more help but they apparently refused. The cheap price is not worth it.

Precision Tune is most definitely *not* an essential business and will close soon.My review of three months ago was changed by Precision Tune from 2 stars to 4; new comments wrote glowingly about the shop, 180 degrees contrary to my original comments.Precision Tune did service work I did not request ( battery terminal maintenance, light bulb replacement @ $50 ( I asked that the lights be _checked_ ) headlight lens cleaning, radiator flush shop rags @ $3 ( but they did disconnect the radiator fan }) and other charges. All on an itemized list, put in a logoed envelops and handed to me with a flourish.*I did not read the list; my error for trusting precision tune.*I purchased 4 tires there; the grease monkeys put non-standard lug nuts on hubs; roadside assistance couldnt change a flat tire due to that ignorance. Subsequently I waited nearly 2 1/2 hours for a tow-truck.Dan routinely under-estimates- by an hour or so- the time needed to make even a simple oil change or replace a battery.

Worst service ever! I made an appt at 11:30 and showed up ten minutes early. The guy up front didn’t say a word about about it being busy. Besides, I had an appointment! I walk up to the counter 50 minutes later and they hadn’t even touched my car. I just needed an oil change for crying out loud! Takes less than twenty minutes to do on a Scion. Could have done it myself if I had the tools.

This used to be an amazing shop, with great manager and personnel (until recently) The new manager is a joke; I witnessed him ripping people off, being completely scattered and not being able to handle more than 1 thing at a time, taking forever to help customers, being rude, etc. There was another gentleman there also, came out of a corner office every once in awhile but didnt help in any way. Dont know if he was someone important but he wasnt very helpful at all to the customers or staff. This location has turned into a joke. Hope the company can get this store back together. I would give this location a 0 star rating if I could. Will NEVER be returning for service in the future.

Under new management, give them a try. They were off since Alfonso left but now the are back on track. Customers have to do their part too. Tomieka was great. I was a drop in and 2 appointments were late (be respectful to others with your appt. time or someone may sneak in between). I got right in, oil change, tire rotation, sensor reset and multi point inspection within 45 minutes. A few recommendations were made-that I can do myself with no pressure to up-sell. Ill keep finding coupons on line and definitely recommend giving them another try.

They got the job done fast. I was in a crisis where I needed to get to work and my car lost a spark plug, due to an electrical short. I was stuck. A full spark replacement was long overdue. However, the markup on their replacement parts is through the roof. $9 per spark plug and $99 for coils. Labor was average priced. They cleaned my injectors but left cleaner residue all over the engine. It was a rush job but thats what I asked for. Despite that the workmanship was solid. Beware of their high priced parts.

Purchased the premium oil change and alignment check on Groupon. Made an appointment as the Groupon instructed. All staff were kind, polite, and professional. All services were clearly explained prior to the service. They did a complete diagnostic and the oil change. They make no time for anyone with a Groupon. They say first come first served. Every time I tried to get my oil changed they told me they had no time or that they are closing soon. That day I had gone in at 2pm and he told me they are starting to close, so they had no time to do an oil change. The time on the door says they close at 5pm. I know a simple oil change take maybe 20 min at the most. There was no one in the lobby when I walked in. Wish I could give zero stars.

I dont know about other Precision Tune locations but this one for sure is owned by Pep Boys Corp. By odd chain of events I ended up meeting both the Manager Richie and Richies boss (proudly wearing his Pep Boys golf shirt). This location offers deep discount service coupons on Groupon but is on a level of professionalism that rilaves Les Schwab. Everything from the first class waiting room to the customer first attitude that runs through all the employees.My first contact was when I called them while sitting in the parking lot of a different service shop. The phone was answered by the leading service tech on duty. He handled my called himself with solid customer skills that I assumed he was the manager.When I arrived I was greeted with complete courtesy and thats before the owner or Richie even knew who I was. Let me just say Im not a high Roller or a fat cat. I drive a 05 Tacoma that looks like it was in a demolition derby. What you can lt see is that underneath that beat up body is a completely rebuilt machine that has out run 3rd gen Tacoma on the highway.Long story short, no coupon, no impressive appearance, just some average everyday joe. I watched every single person who came in that shop leave happy. They all waved at richie with a smile as they left.Nuf said. Peace

Had a Groupon coupon for free wiper blades with my oil change and didnt get them. Made appointment for 3 and car didnt get in until 340.Update: I recieved a call from the area manager and was told it would be sent to the district manager. He never called nor would they correct the problem. Ive called there corporate office and left messages with no return call what so ever.... Beware of using any groupons here. There shady and the manager was atrocious and rude as hell!!!

Went in for an oil change and alignment check. Friendly front desk person, but they were waaaaaaay to busy to give the vehicles the attention they need. My service supposedly came with an inspection that I highly doubt was done because I specifically asked for the tire pressure to be adjusted being that one of my tires was obviously low. Turns out they never did checked my tires, because the tire was still low when they were supposedly finished with the job, which leads me to believe they didnt take the time to do an inspection or an alignment check. They need to stop taking appointments if they cant keep up with the demand. They still had the audacity to give me the inspection report where they marked off they had checked the tires.....ummmm no you didnt or you would have seen the obviously low tire pressure on one of them if you would have done your job.

Worst Customer service ever. Said wait time would be 1 1/2 hours. I called to check on the status about 10 minutes before the time was up and was told by Anissa that they just took it in and it would be another hour. I asked if there was any policy in notifying a Customer about the extendesld wait time and of there was a discount for the inconvenience and she laughed at me and said no, thats not how it works. I then spoke to Alfonso, the supposed Manager and he said the courtesy call for us fell through the cracks. Needless to say, 6 minutes after speaking to Alfonso, he called me back to say our car was ready. They oil wasnt changed, coolant wasnt topped off and the car was filthy from their shoes and stunk like cigarette smoke when I got it. Wasted money! Jiffy Lube confirmed that our oil was not changed by Precision.

DO NOT take your car to the Precision location on 72nd in Tacoma unless you want to pay them to do a repair and then want to either pay them a second time to make the correct repair or pay another shop to fix what they screw up. My son took his car in to have the engine temperature coolant SENSOR replaced so that he could pass his emissions test. They read the diagram on his car and then replaced the temperature SENDER with the temperature SENSOR. This caused his thermostat to stop working and other issues with his engine. He ended up taking his car to the Nissan dealership in order to find out what was wrong with his car as he was told by Precision that they couldnt understand what happened. Took it back to precision the next day and told them what they did and was told he needed to pay AGAIN to have the correct part fixed and pay to replace the part they fixed in error. When we tried to make a complaint we were told there was no manager for that location, we were told there was no way to get ahold of anybody higher then the non-existent manager, called another locations manager and were given the runaround and then told that after they contacted the district manager that the district manager contacted that location nd was told a completely different story then the truth by the mechanic involved, and then told that they would back up their mechanic and gave us a non-existent customer complaint number. What a wonderful way to introduce a young man to the concept that most automotive places are rip-offs.

I called and the guy tried to tell me I have to pay 49.99 on top of 49.99 plus 29.99 then said no just 149.99. terrible for business if you cant be clear or if your just trying to get over because Im a female. All I needed was my alignment done, but no thank you.

Said my car would be done today... tried calling just now to find out they are closed...edit: they called me after the review and apologized. They resolved the issues with my car. They do not charge extra for work on Saturdays.Edit #2 supposedly worked on my battery cables and connectors but it still takes about 40 true to start...

So i came to get my emission done didnt pass when i came back to retake the test i was told the man has fridays off..well lady you should have said that when you told me to come back....needless to say even if i did get a chance to come back the next day.it was not the correct place to recieve the state cert. emmision test. And would have wasted my money again.
