We explained what we needed repaired. All they did was charge me almost eight hundred for a fuel pump and did not fix the sensor that needed to be repaired in the first place. I could of done the fuel pump myself for under three hundred bucks. Ridiculous to charge $783.05! All for a fuel pump! I do not recommend them!!!

Straight shooters & professionals. When you drive up its easy to judge the smaller size of the shop but once you walk in youre greeted by well informed, honest mechanics who have a passions for German cars. Im confident everytime I go in theyll get to the bottom of a problem and fix it without trying to nickel and dime me at every turn.

Too Quicks is the best custom German mechanic on the west coast, period. As an early water-cooled enthusiast, I wouldnt recommend anyone else. I put a VRt from an Audi tt in an 86 golf. They didnt wince at any custom requests. I put a 2.0 ABA from a mk3 gti into a mk1 cabbi. They didnt hesitate to make suggestions and help with electrical. These guys are hands down, the best. The shop is always packed with cars because theyre so well known for their work by the VW community. Demand is high. Labor per hour is just a step above your run-of-the-mill mechanic, but the diligence and workmanship is light years beyond what anyone else is capable of. The price is more than fair. Too Quicks always make sure everything is done right and built to last. They also have a knack for going through the car and fixing all the little things that any other mechanic would skip over. I went in for a quick alternator swap and, before I could pick the car up, they also tightened my loose door bracket, fixed the sunroof seal, and popped in a few door panel plugs in that they had laying spare.Theyre not the fastest in the world because of their popularity, but if you give them the time they need, you wont regret it.Ive had the opportunity to meet Cliff, Chuck, and Robert on separate occasions and they are all very accommodating- especially if you provide them with flexibility.Just dont take them your botched projects and theyll be more than happy to work with you. If they work on something, they like to send it home with you done the right way.Cliff wont hesitate to tell you that youre borrowing trouble when you try to fix things with a bandaid.Theyll also always explain everything you need to know about what theyre doing to your car and why. They have my business for life.Attached are a few pictures of the projects theyre helped me with.

WOW, oh wow! These guys know the older VWs like they were born with them. Reasonably priced, they did stuff on my classic VW that I did not know how to do. Corrected even the most minor problems and issues. This is my new home for my classic Ghia.... no place else will come close to the expertise which was exhibited with the required repairs. GO TO THEM! Luis, Cliff, and Chuck all are professionals. If you want it done right the first time, they do it here.

Went there to get some help getting a alternator pulley removed after I couldnt get it off at home using the proper tools, I think they spend 20-25 min on it and charged me for 15 minutes for labor. Not sure who is leaving bad reviews/saying these guys will rip you off, I can easily say that is not the case. They could have done that to me - saying they have to take the tire off/replace the brakes, etc. whatever. I went in because my car started making a loud screeching noise whenever I was accelerating. Sadly I didn’t get his name, but the guy working came outside and took a listen and a quick test drive, did something and pulled a rock out that somehow stuck in the brake area. I was in and out in 10 minutes and super grateful! Thank you guys!

Fast and accurate service. The mechanics went beyond the regular work and told me in writing what should be done in the future. I go here all the time for parts and help w/ my 67 Beetle. Chuck, the owner, is one of the coolest guys you could ever meet. He is not one of those mechanics who try to keep secrets, if you know what I mean. He will share his knowledge. In the same way, so is Robert, the service manager. He will talk w/ you about your project at length and share from his own experience. About a week ago I was in Too Quicks and I noticed a beautiful 63 Beetle in the parking lot. I asked Robert about it and he told me that the owner of the car was the general manager of Robert Larsons Volkswagen. He brought his car to Too Quicks to have a brake problem fixed rather than his own company! That says something.

I broke down in Tacima on a road trip from out of state and called this place and Luis picked up and told me to bring the car in and said he would see what he can do. He diagnosed the problem which was a coil pack in my Audi Allroad and had me out of there in 45 minutes. It was Friday afternoon and I was ready for my whole trip to be completely destroyed. They charged me for a half hour labor which was very generous and I wish I lived locally so I could use these guys all the time.Very competent and fair and great customer service.

I brought in my Touareg for a differential swap which was done great and costly but cheaper than I expected from the dealership. Couple days later brought it in again for a quick oil change and they didnt have my filter so they assured me that if I came in at opening they would have it and oil changed before 9-930 when I have to leave for work. I arrived at 8:10am to be told there was no room in the shop. It is currently 10:10 and I still have not received my car completed. Then Bill I received was $140! They replaced a turning bulb and charged a half hr of labor! The dealership only charged about $80 for a complete oil change, no labor and usually washes my car for me. Not a TOO QUICK place to go. A normal lazy garage. They didnt even know how to change my light bulb also. Some mechanics.

I have payed a LOT of money for my vehicle to be worse off than when I brought it to them. They lied about what needed repaired, then tried to lie about what was REALLY the problem, then lied to some more when I tried to get them to correct their mistake. Now parts ONLY they have touched are literally falling off of my car, and the so called repairs they made are worse than when they fixed it and then fixed it again, and Im out a car...STAY AWAY STAY AWAY!!

Took car in for a buyers inspection. They told me the transmission had been painted silver but they didnt know why and couldnt tell if it had been replaced or not. They told me it had absolutely no oil leaks and put this on the invoice. They said how clean it was and that it was so clean they thought the engine bay was pressure washed but said it couldnt have been because there was no damage to certain hoses that they showed me. Based on their recommendation of how nice the car was and it had no leaks whatsoever, I bought the car.A week later there was oil on the garage where it is parked. I took it to a foreign auto shop locally and he said as soon as he lifted it he could see it had a leak. He also told me then showed me that the transmission was not painted, it was obviously new, he showed me the stickers you could see from underneath. He didnt understand how it had a two hour buyers inspection but these things werent found. When I called to tell Too Quicks, the first guy, was very nice, he said it never shouldve gone unnoticed and offered to fix it with free labor and refund my buyers inspection fee. I told him I could email the invoice for the fix. I then called later after work and talked to a different guy. The guy who had done the walk around with me and showed me under the hood and said the transmission was painted. He was condescending saying We looked under the hood and you could see there were no leaks. I said oil leaks are seen from underneath, not on top of the engine. He asked to call me back. He didnt. I called again, he said he was busy but he was sure his mechanic that checked out the car was not at fault and the engine mustve been wiped clean underneath before I brought it in. He had no response for why he told me the transmission had been painted when in fact it was brand new with stickers on it. He would only refund me the buyers inspection but said they had no other responsibility. I am sure if I was a man, he would not have tried to tell me that oil leaks are seen from looking in the hood or a transmission was painted! He said he had been inspecting cars since the 80s, yet he doesnt know what a new transmission looks like and the mechanic who had it in the back found no leaks and apparently somehow didnt see the stickers on the new transmission??? How is that possible???

I like these guys. im a shade tree mechanic just rying to save a few dollars on car repairs. they are a few feet away from my apartment so its fairly easy for me to walk to them and ask for advice on how to do specific things on a car. i get all my parts from them. one of the mechanics by the name of chuck told me step by step how to fix my water cooland issues. i had to get new piping basically. but he told me how to do it. the fact that a mechanic shop simply didnt brush me off because i wanted to do the work myself as opposed to paying them to do it said alot about this company. the main guy who answers the phone is a bit iffy. he is relatively busy ordering parts, so it takes him a bit to notice youre in the shop waiting to ask if you can ask a tech a question. but overall great people. thats my customer experience with them anyhow. i never payed for one of them to come outside and talk a few minutes about an issue i was having. they were always willing to tell me what the issue may be and possible solutions to fixing it. and i greatly appreciate that. so far with simply TALKING to them. i have successfully replaced a water pump, serpentine belt, power steering pump and pulley, and the entire cooling distribution system. id imagine it would have cost a bit to have them repair it for me. im a young solder with alot of bills and these guys seem to appreciate a person who wants to learn about working on cars. great comapany.

I took my type 2 VW here for service and could not be happier with the way Chuck, the owner, handled my vehicle. He was very thorough and explanatory all the way through. Cliff at the front desk was very friendly. My issue here is that this place is just TOO Busy. Only game in town. The service writer, Robert, at the front desk was very friendly as well but his communication skills are lacking. As his customer, I never felt that I was important enough to have a call back when I asked him to. Time and time again, Robert failed to call me back when he said he would, over and over. I was stressed out both times I took my ride here for service, due to the lack of communication. If I could deal with Chuck directly, and him only, I would be one happy customer. My VW is 60 years old and there are obvious issues with finding parts, etc. Just make sure that you are bringing the correct parts and that you and this establishment are on the same page with costs and timeframe. 1st time I was here, I went in for some brake work and came back with 2 times the $$$ amount of my estimate and no brakes were fixed. Parts were the biggest issue because of the year of my air-cooled VW and not readily available. However, Chuck did do a fine job of going thru my Bus and assuring that it was safe from bumper to bumper, checking and tightening everything...I think Chuck goes above and beyond here, making sure things are done right. Again, my biggest issue here is the way the front desk is handled and the one on one communication of that front desk. It needs to be addressed. Only game in town so Im sure i will be back again..
