I was driving through Cheyenne and hit some variety of wildlife on the highway. My car was towed to Halladays. The staff were all warm and friendly and went out of their way to ensure that my vehicle would be repaired as expeditiously as possible. Awesome people who put a great face on a bad situation. Did I mention this all happened 1200 miles from home and I am disabled and get around in a wheelchair?

Incredibly kind and helpful!! As a woman, I dont like mechanics talking down to me. The gentleman who took in our car after hours when it broke down was an angel in disguise!! They kept me up to date on costs as they inspected and fixed it, which they did incredibly fast, within just a few days! Im so glad we found Halladays. Even though we live 45 minutes away, I want to keep bringing it here for all future repairs. Halladays is a hidden gem in Tacoma for sure.

When it snowed last week, my snow chain snapped on the drivers side front tire.. well that cause the problem with my axle which, when I discovered what the problem was, I was lucky it hadnt come all the way off.. I took it there and they took care of everything and at a reasonable price.. would definitely recommend, as I will be using them for my other van also..

My Lincoln MKX was towed there for repair. Key was placed in the drop box by enterprise towing. The car was stolen! Bottom line ..I want my car back! More to come ..! Do not ever use this business! If a car was stolen from your business.. would you be concerned? I’m the one who had to report it!

Mike always does good work at fair prices!

My father in law has know the owner of this shop for years and has gone here for years so me and my husband decided to use them for our engine swap because weve been to busy to do it ourselves. We bought a used engine with lowish miles and great compression readings for them to put in our truck. Instead of them using the used engine we bought they never did the swap and then put the used engines parts on my block and stole my new parts that were currently in my truck they took apart my dash and stole cording from there that dented my hood as well as messed with my carburator and the air to fuel is off and it continues to die when warming up or at a stop light. And now I find out my exhaust was taken which cost over 300 and replaced with an old Chevy one. They think because Im a female that I wouldnt notice but me and my husband literally took photos of everything before we took it to them and now they just say idk what to tell you idk what your talking about. After we just paid almost 1500 with labor because we paid for all the parts . All because they didnt want to tell me it was my clutch and told me it was my engine just to get extra money out of us. And when I call to talk about it my call drops and when I went to get my old block there were trying to close the doors on me.

Halladays has worked on my vehicle several times, im always in awe of their prices, they are professional and always kind, great customer service, they are amazing and 👍🤙

So Wal-Mart was closed and slacking on what I pay for, like vacuuming, topping off fluids. Halladays doesnt offer these but I will say they change my oil within 20 mins, which is crazy because I could be sitting at some other places for hours even when I was there first in line to get my oil changed. They are always kind, knowledgeable, and understanding. I highly recommend.

Honest guy and great work at fair price

Car broke down on the highway. Took it here because it was close by. They said it was my catalytic converter. So they deleted it. My car broke down getting to federal way. I’m so disappointed I’m not even angry. I’m never coming back here. I would have paid them to fix my car. Like money is nothing to me. Now I’m wasting my precious time.

Horrible my sister went here, and her car got broken into, 3 windows smashed and stuff stolen and not only did this happen but the employee didn’t tell her it happened, she found out by calling and checking to see if it was ready to pick up. I do not recommend going here, go anywhere else. Oh and they don’t have cameras, and if the shops full they will leave your car outside and not tell you so be careful that your car doesn’t get more damages, in conclusion avoid this place😡

Worked on my vehicle and they did a horrible job with it looking to be a 2 year old that welded my exhaust. Vehicle started having problems 3 months after work was done. They refused to warranty the work and said it wasnt their work that needed to be fixed. Finally got the money to take it somewhere else and low and behold it ia the work they did and messed up. So hope you enjoy that $500 you got from me. It will be the last money you ever get from me.

We’ve used this shop for three of our vehicles. Oil changes are quick and affordable. We’ve had to do some very big repairs and I’m glad we went here. They diagnosed and got us back on the road in a few days. Very friendly and helpful.

Quality work and they dont steal your entire bank account when you need repairs they are very reasonable and faster than jiffy lube at an oil change

One of the best auto repair shop everI own a 2011 Cadillac Escalade, motor went down and was in need of a replacement. And normally, I went to shop around my area to find the best deals around until I found this place through my brother. Took my escalade for further diagnostics and was qouted half the price from other auto repair shops. Left my vehicle for 2-3 weeks and was returned in a very good condition. Motor was strong and responsive, handles like it was new again.Even though I got my vehicle back with no problems, they were calling me for diagnostics and check up just to be sure that the motor is healthy, Although after a few months, CEL came on and found out that I needed an oil sensor replacement which is very common for GM trucks, was told to get the part which was super cheap then was replaced for less than an hour, I also mentioned that my AC wont work and they did it for free!. I will always come back to this place if ever my other vehicles need repair or service. I can definitely vouch for this place for your auto repair needs! Thanks to Mike and Terry!

They charged me $540 for a oil pan gasket replacement. Got my friends laughing me. Call the dealership amd they even laughed at me.

Stopped in for an alternator check. I never tell shops that my ex was a mechanic. Tyler, the auto pro, knew his stuff; He was kind, honest and professional.

I had some radiator work and a sensor replace by these guys and the sensors usually go out in twos, the driver side and the passenger side. When I called to find out which side they had replaced and told them I was going to do the other one myself I was told he would have to dig through a pile of paperwork to find out which one.I have to classic cars a Truck and three grown children with cars that I maintain so I cant afford a mechanic all the time. I guess it wont be you guys when I do need one thanks.

Quick service, good work and good prices. Needed a muffler for my 1998 Mercedes and they gave me a fair quote and turned it around in a few hours. I only paid the quote plus tax. Very honest and easy to understand.

I dont normally go out of my way to review companies, good or bad, and instead choose to support those quality companies with my pocketbook. That being said, Halladays is so deserving of a five-star review from my experience, I had to share for a neighbor. Last night my vehicle was vandalized in the Lincoln District area of Tacoma. Someone broke a key in the ignition attempting to steal the vehicle. I called around and received quotes ranging from $375-1500 ($1500!!!!) to replace the ignition in my 1990 Toyota. I then found Halladays. I called and spoke with their team and they gave me a quote of $250, and that is exactly what I paid. On top of that they had it done the same day. They are located near my home in the Lincoln District and highly recommend them to folks who want honest, local work. Shop local and support your local auto mechanic!

I took my truck here 3 years ago or so to have my exhaust replaced. They did a great job then and it to this day still sounds great. reasonable and fair prices. I write a review now because i meant to back then. i am looking to get my exhaust done on my other truck and will be returning.

I had contacted them on a Saturday about getting some exhaust work done. Set everything up for Tuesday on my day off from work. Got a very fair and reasonable estimate on the cost of the work that I wanted them to do. They did exactly just that and I love how it turned out, and better yet how my exhaust sounds. I would definitely go there again and recommend anyone who asked about them, to go there. I may have to go back to get more work done on my other vehicle. Thanks guys!

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!The car has been at this shop for the last 2 weeks and they JUST found out why its having problems. We have called everyday to speak to a Mike and he just keeps prolonging the cars stay. I will update this review as soon as we get our car back and see the bill they want to charge us.The place is VERY slow, and for some reason people like this? The 5 star reviews for this place must be fakes or from family members, because as an honest customer I just want my car back. I would avoid this place.Update: We got car back after 3.5 weeks in the shop, it was a fuel sensor issue. Seems like a long stay for this issue, a professional mechanic should have found this much quicker.

Fixed my car starter and ignition replacement fast, and same day.They have me no issues and very helpful nice service professionals. The manager is a awesome man. The mechanics are very intelligent and experienced. The prices were very fair as compared to most auto shops or Chevy. They are respectful of everyone and friendly. I recommend halladays auto repair service, and they fixed everything that all transmissions and automotives shop didnt do for me or my car.

It was recommended by my mother. I took my Trailblazer in to have the exhaust manifold replaced with parts in hand that I had pre-purchased from them, was told that my car would be done that day. Returned before closing to be told it was not ready. Called twice to check on it the next day, was not ready. Returned the following day and had to come back late afternoon, waited for a couple of hours more, and finally got my vehicle back approximately 5 pm. Not cool.

After a terrible experience with a competitor, I decided hesitantly to give Halladays a try. I almost didnt to be honest. The exterior looks a little rough (even shady looking at first glance) and its not the best part of town, but the guy who answered the phone sounded happy (but not TOO happy) and competent. All I can say is that Im glad I gave these guys a try.I went in and explained my situation to Daryll, who owns the shop, and he was very flexible about price and service. He didnt try to upsell me on a service I didnt need or tack on extra fees or kill me on labor. In fact his labor cost was half the other guys somehow. Hes a fun personable guy who doesnt mind just talking and he really makes you feel at home.My car works great, and he explained everything that they did to it. Even explained the rattle that had bothered me for about a year now, and told me that when I was ready to take care of it he would be ready to help and it wouldnt be too expensive.This is the first mechanic that Ive been to that I didnt feel like he was trying to scam me. Its a great feeling to walk away from a garage and know that you got the best deal. I will definitely use these guys again.

Avoid this place at all costs! They have dishonest employees and will do work on your vehicle that isnt conducive of repairing it in an effort to get more money from you. On top of that, you will get your vehicle back with things missing from it under very mysterious conditions. This business is about to be involved in a court case as well. So, find a different shop and honest mechanics.

I have taken my cars to Halladays for the last 20 yrs for big and little fixes. The first couple of times I checked with a friend of mine in LA who owns a Auto Repair shop. He looked up for me what it should cost. When I picked up my car (the next day) my bill was to the penny what my friend said it should be (going my a mechanics maintenance guide) The second time, same thing. They have done many little things on the spot without charge but with a smile. I would not take my cars anywhere else.

Couldnt find the problem with my car

Very nice people, they have the best deal I could find on running a diagnostic. And they are open during the week.

Never knows whats wrong with my car. Keeps car over night for a half hour job. Replaced my starter twice yet theyre not sure its even the problem.

Darryl, Mike and his crew are by far the most honest, competent and ethical people I have ever met in the auto repair business. They never overcharge their estimates are accurate and very fair and the quality of their workmanship is outstanding.
