I had my jeep towed to marys auto repair. While it was there my bran new tires were stolen. After I asked if shes was liable (which she is by law) she said its my problem and I need to get new tires before she has it impounded. This was after I paid $560 for a starter. This place is horrible Do Not Spend money here unless you want to get ripped off.

My first time in I thought, finally a shop I can trust. I think they are trustworthy. But my second time in I called ahead to see if they could work with my vehicle, but then she turned me away after a slight issue and set me back a few days. On my way home, I got stuck since my rig is still broken. After having some people push me out of an intersection, I am here wondering what to do. It’s Friday and I won’t get into any shops until next week. Mary kind of messed things up for me this time. Generally a good shop probably

I cant say enough good things about Marys. I just bought a new used car and was waiting for Friday to bring it to Marys and have it checked out and tightened up. They looked over my entire vehicle and told me what needs to be repaired. I was able to get my car fixed the same day at a great price. I feel a lot safer on the road knowing that my car has been taken care of at Marys. I have been getting my cars fixed at Marys for a few years now. I dont have repairs done anywhere else.

My girlfriend and I were traveling to Portland and we had a problem with our brakes on the way there. After calling a couple of places and getting no answer or just a “yea we are really busy” I finally got ahold this place. The woman who answered the phone offered to just look at it and when they diagnosed the problem offered to fix it for us even though the were busy as well. I couldn’t have been more thankful for them and their help. Would recommend them to people in that area.

We were from out of town and had a problem, simple fix but dealership FORD OF TACOMA were so rude on the phone we googled mechanic and hers came up, just needed a couple screws put it on the lift and wouldnt charge us WHO DOES THAT NOWADAYS, what an amazing business, would go again and recommend, not just because no charge but THATS GOOD BUSSINESS

I highly recommend Marys. I am a shade tree mechanic and have done nearly all my own work on my vehicle for the last 8 years. After a day of struggling to install new shocks and springs I had only finished the rear and realized the job was beyond the time, tools, and skill, I could muster. Speaking to Mary on the phone she gave me a fair number up front and fit me in the next day. At the shop the Mechanic came out and gave me a thorough run through every aspect of the job. I was thinking of bringing the car to another shop that had been highly recommended but pricier but after talking to the mechanic I was confident he could do the job well. 5 hrs later they called me and confirmed this hunch. Everything was done just as I would have done it had I had the time and tools. Mary informed me that the old shock had to be cut out with a torch and the job took longer than estimated. She then presented me with a bill for the exact amount we agreed upon despite the additional complications. Very impressive people, an excellent job, on time, at a fair price. If I lived by Marys I might give up my shade tree ways.

Mary is so friendly and accepted my coupons at the time of the service, I just had to show up days later to mark the coupon and even though I was late, she was so friendly and understanding and held her promise. Used Marys before and had a good experience but this time not so good tried to charge me $450 for a blinker switch I found it on my own oem for $80 was told I was also going to need a carburetor my total bill was going to be $1,600 I found the carburetor myself direct replacement for $100 wow what a mark up! needless to say Im feeling very crunchy. The shop is very clean and professional I had really hoped I had found a place that I was going to use for years to come but now after this little experience Im back to square one in search of an honest shop thats not going to try to take me just because they think they can. Come on Mary $1,600 repair on a truck thats not even worth half that. Even if the parts were marked up half again of what I found them for I probably would have done it. The switch is a 20-minute job tops and the carburetor is just a swap. So lets see, two hours labor tops. Im guessing people must fall for that s*** all the time. I understand the business needs to get paid and Im certainly not trying to keep a business from getting paid I certainly dont work for free.. but Im certainly not down to get gouged either.

Had them replace my clutch and they didnt put the cap or rubber sleeve back in effectively letting air get into the system again. Went to them in person and they didnt accept any responsibility still havent heard back about the cap they said they would replace. I feel like if Im spending 1700 for a repair I shouldnt have to look over your work.

Bad business gave one quote then changed a different price once the job was done. Would not recommend this place to any one its a rip off

I had my clutch and upper and lower tie rods replaced. The quote she gave me was 1780 which was the highest in the area, I had heard great things about her so I said yes. When I got there to pick up my car she had raised the price to 2400 without calling me she charged me for 1 hours of labor on my car (2 people at 6 hours each) which was inaccurate. I had called her to say yes at 11:48 am and she called me to say that it was done at 4:00pm. I will never be taking my car here again.

Mary was able to get me in on very short notice when my spark plug wire blew. 4 hours later and much more money than I had intended I was able to drive home with a car in perfect condition.This place is one big warehouse. They had coffee and water for people waiting as well as an ample overstuffed sectional to take a nap in. 👍

I needed to get a used vehicle inspected before I bought it, but of course I did this Friday afternoon of Memorial Day weekend. Needless to say, NO ONE could fit me in. Mary was incredibly nice and professional and she readily agreed to help me, letting me know the optimal time to come in.When I got there, service was prompt, and again very nice and professional. Upon inspection, it turns out that the vehicle was in very good shape. Mary didnt charge me, even though I took her and her mechanics time. So the reason I am giving a 3 star review is because when we were quoted our repair we werent given the total amount including sale tax which added another $110 on to our repair we werent expecting. I am always very cautious about mechanics and based on Marys reviews we felt like we were going to a good fair place. Maybe at fuel pump would cost more somewhere else but I really feel like we were taken advantage of in this situations and wont be using Marys again in the future.

My son got stranded on his way to work one morning and being unfamiliar with the area asked the tow truck driver where to take the car and he said that hed heard good things about Marys Auto Repair. When I arrived to pick him up they seemed a little disorganized and I was a little nervous with the quote but he decided to go ahead and let them do the work.I am VERY happy to report that Mary is extremely nice and runs a good business here, the actual cost was much less than the quote and the work was done super fast. If I lived closer to Tacoma Id definitely have Marys Auto Repair on my short list of places to get my car fixed!

I had a headlight out and after my girlfriend tried to replace it with no luck, I took it to Marys. I was honest about not having a lot of money for this repair and she said it would be about $50 to check it out. They called back not long after and said it was all fixed! All it needed was a new lightbulb...i guess my girlfriend accidentally touched it when it was installed. Mary only charged me for the parts $15! I will definitely be back!

This was easily the single worst experience Ive ever had at an auto shop. I wanted an oil change, a comprehensive vehicle inspection and to get my leaking power steering fluid fixed. I tried to get details on what would be checked as a part of the comprehensive inspection and was repeatedly told everything. On the window of the shop it says there is a 48-point inspection but Mary said that there was no list of what actually gets checked and that her techs just know.Since I had read good things about this shop I decided to chance it and see how things went. When I left, my car was already being looked at and she said it would be about 45 minutes and shed call. An hour later I was done running other errands and hadnt heard anything so I went back by to check on things. My car was back in the parking lot and it turned out they were done with it. I dont know why I never got a call.The mechanic handed me a paper saying they did an oil change, checked and filled all fluids and did a complete vehicle inspection, as well as a somewhat vague list of recommendations. The expectation seemed to be that I would sign and then just leave. I asked for a rundown of the recommendations and he blew through a fast verbatim reading of what was on the paper and I had to ask again for him to tell me anything actually useful, including if any of these things needed to be addressed soon and if they could do the work. I then specifically asked if they had checked the brakes and if they had found why the power steering fluid was leaking. They said the brakes were fine and they couldnt find a leak and that the fluid was full. Now, I happen to know for a fact that the front brake rotors have significant damage because I replaced the front pads myself and decided to not replace the rotors at the time. After leaving I checked my power steering fluid and rather than being full it wasnt even touching the dipstick. Apparently checking everything doesnt include an awful lot of things.When I was trying to get more details from the mechanic, Mary came over and interrupted our conversation to ask me to sign the paper. It felt very much like they all just wanted to get rid of me and for me to never come back. Well, Im definitely never going to take a vehicle there again.

The woman helping me talked down to me like I was a complete idiot from the second I arrived. I found the tone unprofessional and disappointing. Each question she asked me (name, address, etc) was asked in a condescending tone. The price for the service I needed was more than I would usually pay, but I would have stayed had she not acted this way.

Mary saved me 1.5 hours in labor and hundreds of dollars! I have a 2004 Acura TL and have been told my front bumper had to be removed to change my fog light bulb costing over 150.00. Marys had the bulb out in five minutes and 14.00! You dont need to look any further for a mechanic. Plus she and all the other employees I met there are cool as hell!

Needed an emergency repair, and they fit us in on our schedule, repaired our problem, drove my husband home and then dropped off the car; and charged nothing! We will definitely use them again.

A couple weeks ago i took a used vehicle i was looking at buying (07 xterra) to Marys for the $110 pre purchase inspection. I was willing to pay the steep inspection price because of all the great reviews, most other places i checked were around $70 for an inspection. I waited with the vehicle in their customer tent inside the service garage for probably about an hr and even walked past the car on my way to use their port-a-potty. I didnt see anyone near the car. I saw it up on the lift then down and out front for me to pick up. I was told the only problem was an oil cooler adapter seal was leaking and it needed a coolant flush. So I bought it and 2 weeks later its having transmission issues and the fluid is dark and smelly. I called and asked what the inspection points are and they told me we check all the fluid levels. Im not a mechanic but i dont think it needs to go up on the lift to check the fluid levels and when it started having issues i checked the fluid and noticed immediately that it wasnt how it should be. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

You can take one look at these peoples facilities and see that theyre professionals. Unlike those low- lifes at Kevins Auto Repair. Thats a third world facilities if Ive ever seen any. That idiot calls a test drive going around the street. No way hes licensed. These are probably the best independent mechanics Ive seen honestly. Dealership work at lower prices.

Before going here read the reviews on yelp and the BBB, Marys auto will try to up sell you on things you dont need, and they markup the price of the parts buy 300% all the google reviews are way to generous, youll only go there once, I was looking for a long term shop i could trust, and got the 900 dollar lesson. there wont be a fool me twice, one star is way to much

Thought at first they did a good job but on second and third trips there realized they were doing unnecessary work. Had brakes totally redone and a year later needed it done again. The wheel on my suburban almost fell off as they only tightened one lugnut, all others were moveable by hand. Took vehicle in for emissions work and $1000 later I still failed emissions.
