Ive used Pearson Auto for over 15 years. I find it reasonably priced, friendly, and all repairs or services are done right. It is the only repair shop that I use. I highly recommend this shop in Syracuse for all your automotive needs.

I have been there several times for emissions and on the spot renewal on my 33 foot motorhome. They are awesome.

They fixed my car for a reasonable price and fixed what another bad mechanic didnt! Car runs better than it ever has and they got me in days before they said they could. Will happily take my car back here!

This is the most honest and helpful shop I’ve ever experienced. I’ve taken several cars here and the work is done properly and efficiently. The staff is great and they’ve even diagnosed a car or 2 for me and didn’t ask me for a penny since I like to do the work myself. Great service, great price, great quality.I compared quotes for front brake rotors and pads replacement (Warped rotors, due for replacement) and Pearson was the cheapest. I compared parts pricing from OReilly and it wasnt enough of a price difference to DIY. In bringing my vehicles to them from now on.

Very honest mechanics

We were referred to Pearson Auto by a coworker after being told how honest they were. We had a knocking noise on our front end. Turned out it was a strut that was bad. Ken Pearson called and told me that it looked like a brand new strut. This was on a vehicle we had just purchased 2 weeks ago from a Dealership. He recommended we call them to ask about the part. Turns out it WAS replaced by the dealership before we bought it and was still under warranty. So the dealership will be taking care of it. This just reiterates how honest this place is. They could have easily not mentioned any of that just to get the business. They will definitely be our go to guys when we have any car problems in the future. Very impressed with them.

We love these guys! They are the absolute best of anywhere that Ive ever taken my car. They even take excellent care of our decrepit cars in their old age and as they struggle through safety an emissions. Ken (the owner) hires good staff, gives a fair price, is honest, and gets work done in a timely manner. They always listen and even give advice over the phone and are never pushy. They also always call and let me know the diagnosis before making any repairs so I can let them know what route I want to take. One time we had a car die and they let me push it around the corner after business hours so they could look at it the next morning. When it was diagnosed that my car was dead for good, Ken priced new and used parts and let me know pros and cons to having them make such a major repair with each option for parts. Ive always been happy with my service, my parents always use Pearson as well, and we always recommend them. Thanks Pearson Auto!P.S. I went to Pearsons based solely on my father-in-laws recommendation to get my transmission serviced. They went above any beyond my expectations. This is a good place to go to have your car fixed. Friendly and attentive staff. Ken is honest and thorough in his work. I feel like the pricing is fair and I havent been up sold on anything that did not need to be fixed. I would recommend this place to any of my friends or family. Our 20 year old daughter has always hated to have her oil changed or car worked on, because she felt as if they were trying to repair items that werent necessary, like upselling, she always ended up asking Dad to go with her. She recently bought a car (that is as old as she is!) and it has needed some repairs (that she was aware of), we suggested going to Pearson Auto. She took her car there and was treated so well. Everything was explained in a way she understood and was able to relate to us. She said I like that they are so honest with me and treat me and my car so well.

Just visited Pearson’s for some car maintenance and repairs. The only auto repair shop, I will go to now. I trust them and highly recommend them to my friends and family. I saw a sign in the their shop that reads “Come in as a customer and leave as a friend”. This is how Ken (owner)and the staff will make you feel. Fair prices and great customer service. My family has brought all of their cars here the past couple of years, and they told me that their experiences have been great but my experience wasnt. I brought in my car because my headlights werent working. I asked for them to fix it. It cost about $140. When I came to pick it up they said that the casing was bad and needed to be replaced eventually, no timeline was given. 1 week goes by and my headlights are broken again. I called and they told me that they explained to me that when I left with it they told me they didnt know how long they would work. I just wish they had explained it to me better how urgent it was.

Pearson Auto is running a scam. If I were able to I would not give them any stars at all. My sister took my car in to have the safety and emissions done on 01/21/2016. When the car wouldnt start they told her that it was the fuel pump. She left it there with my number for them to call with a quote while she went to work. I received a call later from Cody asking for me to call back. When I called back Cody informed me that my car was ready to be picked up and that they had replaced not only my fuel pump but my serpentine belt which not not been brought up at all until this point. They were charging me over $600 for these services that I never agreed to, and in the case of the serpentine belt, had not known that my car even needed.When I went in to talk to the owner about the illegal things that Cody did. Cody was at the front desk. Just walking in to the place he gave off a slimy and dishonest impression. I asked to talk to Ken, the owner, Cody said he would go find him, or we would have to deal with himself. Cody walked in the back and returned not even a minute later. He informed us we would have to deal with him. Cody plain and simple was rude. He was not pleasant at all to be around. Hand feeding a starving wild lion would be easier and more pleasant than dealing with Cody.When we picked up my car the drivers door was left unlocked all night while it was parked in full view and able to be accessed by every person that passed it. Lucky for them there were not items taken from my car or there would be a police file out for each item stolen from my car.I will never be going there again nor will I be recommending this place to anyone

Awesome pricing and honesty. Went there to get some work done on my daughters car. .. gave me some suggestions on how to fix it without replacing any parts. I like the fact that they dont just want to take my money for a repair I might not need. .. their tips and the work I have had done there was great, and at the best price I could find. Will use them as often as I can!

Bought a non-running vehicle thinking it wouldn’t take much to fix. Was told Pearson did all the work on it up until this point. Turns out Pearson had no idea what they were doing and just started throwing parts at it. Two fuel pumps, two fuel filters, one fuel line, distributor, cap, new spark plugs and wires, new ignitor, and new ECM. Problem still hasn’t been fixed. Not to mention they never noticed the very obvious four large vacuum leaks, as well as the two vacuum lines that weren’t even connected. After the ECM install they said it’s been fixed. I show up, and they left the car dry so I ran out of gas 100 feet from the 7-11 around the corner. They would avoid my phone calls and it took five phone calls before anyone would actually give me (false) updates on the vehicle. Would not recommend.

I was doing my own brakes and needed a rotor that i already had to be be installed. I think it was the owner...an older gentleman asked me if i had a 20 to pay for it. Took him only about 10 minutes. Awesome place!!

Had a issue with my shocks, they inspected and when quoting me a price, they noticed it seemed to high and adjusted it. They installed it and it was okay but shortly after i had some strange noise coming from it. Went back to them and they immediately took care of it. Awesome! they have my trust!

Ive been going to this place for a couple of years and have high regards for Ken and his Auto shop, but when I called up today and the woman just answered Hello without saying the companys name. I had to ask who I was calling. I was wanting to get a quote on how much a clutch would be but she said I would have to call back next week just to get that quote because she was way to busy. Really? I know if Ken was there he would have never treated me this way.

For a stranded motorist from thousands of miles away, these people have been SO kind and helpful. THE BEST EVER. Faith in humanity restored.

I recently had my car worked on at Pearsons. All was well until i went to pick it up. I waited in the office for sometime while waiting for somebody to take payment. When the older gentleman walked in (the owner i presume).His breath reeked of alcohol. I do not want somebody that has been drinking working on my car nor operating my vehicle. On top of that when i got home my husband pointed out to me that my hood was not closed. Not professional and very dangerous. I am disgusted with this shop and will not be going back.

Everything during my experience was misleading and Cody and staff was almost abrasive when general questions were asked about repairs made. When I went to pick up my car another customer was asking a question about his car and the staff was non attentive and defensive. I had high hopes after reading some of the reviews on this shop before I took my cars there, however I came away disappointed and frustrated. The two star review came from the part they installed, after 2 days for a simple starter, functioned. Please consider carefully before taking your vehicle to this shop.

Hes never pushy...there have been several times ive gone in when they could have pushed me to buy something, but every time Ken has been completely honest about what I do and dont need. Im basically a walking advertisement for Pearsons because Im constantly recommending them to everyone I know!! Best auto shop ive ever been to!

Weve taken cars here several times and had a positive experience until the most recent one. I made an appt for 2 hours of labor (we provided all parts) at 8am, however I was told the guy wouldnt get in until 9, then my car wasnt even pulled in for work until 1230pm. Once they got started it went fast. I got the text it was done but was over $100 more than the estimate. Turns out they decided to use one of their parts instead of what we provided saying our part was wrong even though 2 other mechanics I trust told me it was right. They said they called me about it but my phone has no record of it or voicemail. The whole thing seemed sketchy to me. In the end, I returned my part as the work was done and the cost was the same overall. Ill continue to go here because the work is always great but its insanely frustrating to feel like Ive been taken advantage of to just use their part and also that making an appt didnt seem to matter at all. I ended up wasting a whole day waiting when I could have made other arrangements if Id known it would take that long.

A friend of mine swore by these guys. They replaced the wheel bearing on my Mazda 6 the same day it was brought in and for a great price. Totally got rid of the awful noise and pull...go figure.
