This was the first time using this barber shop and I have to say that Stephen who cut my hair was absolutely amazing. I will now continue to have him cut my hair for now on. I recommend this shop. I especially recommend Stephen. Im having a major surgery and having a right leg amputated and he told me to call him if I need a hair cut or beard trim, he would make sure he takes care of it. Thanks Stephen.

I went to a different barbershop where I waited over an hour and kept getting skipped so we left. Came here and was so impressed. You take a number so you won’t be skipped unless you leave when they call your number but even then they still attend you. My boys got designs and the 2 guys that do those are crazy good. Got my boys looking fly. I am from Colorado so next time I come to AZ this will be the spot. Highly recommend!!

Moved from California to AZ recently and was hoping to find a barber similar to my old barber. I researched and chose liberty. I arrived at 9am sharp and was seen by a younger man named Daniel. I explained what I was looking for and Daniel gave me that, plus more! I found my new barber 💈 in Daniel and Liberty 🗽 barber shop. Every other barber seemed to cut and fade very well too. Have been here 3 other times, and never had an issue. When I went to get my hair cut on July 2nd at approximately 4:30, my hair was butchered, and I am having to shave the top completely off. I requested a high fade with a comb over. There is zero blend, and just looks shaved on the sides. How it looks now is just about the best I can do. No matter what way that I attempt to style, it just looks horrible. Each picture is done a little differently. I wish I could remember the ladys name that cut it, but she was in chair furthest from the front door. I have had multiple people comment on how bad it looks. This is my first review on google as well, so that has to say something.. Definitely will never return!

My favorite place in town and apparently everyone agrees. If you come at peak hours you can expect to wait for 1 to 2 hours. If youre able to come early mornings or a weekday its definitely worth the trip.

Have been getting a skin fade, line up and beard trim for years from a babrer shop in Phoenix and cost me 22$ bucks, recently moved to a new area and looked all over for a decent place to get a hair cut. The reviews looked great for liberty baber shop, I gave it a shot,, everyone was extremely nice and welcoming, got my usual cut and walked out the door 42$ dollars poor, way over charged its the most expensive cut i have ever paid for, I do not recommend this place if you work as hard for you money as I do.

I used this place before and it was ok, their hours in the window states that they close at 6pm ... there’s been more than 2 times that I get there at 5:20 and they’re already closed .. they still have customers inside but they can’t take anymore clients and the hours clearly says 6pm .. a lot of people not wearing mask either ..

Went to get a mid fade and the barber jacked up my hair good but I should of known he barely can speak English ended up with a mohawk never ever going back to that place and for twenty buck to mess up your hair never again

Love the place “Liberty Barbershop” has the best fades on El mirage and have my hair done professionally and not only that but my personal favorite barber will be Carlos and the reason behind that is because he does his fades fast and professionally done as well, honestly if anyone wants to get a good fade come here at liberty and it’ll put a smile on your face at the end of the day and don’t worry about which barber is the best because liberty is the best of the best with excellent employees there as well.

They take their time and listen to what I want Im a haircut. Never disappointed always feeling good right after my cut. Great friendly atmosphere too.

Great haircut over all. Friendly staff. Be prepared to wait as it is only walk ins. Make sure to grab a number as soon as you arrive. This was key to getting your spot secured. Ive had the pleasure of coming here regularly. The staff truly us awesome. I am a father of 3 sons, 2 of which are autistic. The staff worked so amazingly well with my little ones. Though they can be difficult, the staff were the real all stars. Thank you to the entire staff.

Store has 6 chairs and only 3 barbers working on sat @ 1:00pm and I have been sitting almost 2 hours and waiting for my numbers to call out! Next time if I come here I should bring my lunch box with me! I hope they not gonna charge me a lot of money for hair Cos I don’t think the level of service they providing meets their premier prices! Other than that! Haircut is great!!

I have been going here for over 7 years. The ownership and staff are the reason that even though I no longer live in Surprise, I still make the drive every 2 weeks to come back. They are the most friendly and professional barbers you can possibly have. You would be doing yourself a disservice by not going here.

My son is 11 and loves this shop. Leo is his barber and does a great job every time. I have taken my grandson age 3 here and he loves it also. I took him to a childs salon and he did not like the child salon. They make my boys look good and do great with them. Will always use them.

Ive been coming to the shop for about 7 years plus and honestly it used to be one of the best now its almost impossible to get a haricut, one of their barbers (Eduardo (Leo)) likes to show up whenever he desires, loves to show up late. Today I waited for about 2 hours and when my turn was coming up my barber (Leo) decided it was time to go eat, after being a loyal client for so many years. Today marks the day I come here for the very last time. 7 years of loyalty gone I will gladly take mine and my family and friends business else where

This is the best place around, Fernando is the only one who has cut my 5 year old sons hair and we will never go anywhere else, usually a wait, but well worth it for good attention to detail and quality!

Best barber shop in Phoenix!!

I went into the shop and took a ticket and asked what was the wait time. A lady told me about an hour. I waited 2 hours for my turn. On top of that I asked for a comb-over and explicitly told the lady 2 times I wanted one. After she was done, I noticed she didn’t give me it. The haircut overall was good but I’m really disappointed on the wait time and that I wanted something in my cut that they didn’t give. It was my first time coming to liberty (referred from a friend). I will not promise that I will be showing up again.

Great old-school barber shop. Classic barber chairs, TV to watch while waiting, good haircuts with a razor finish. You might have to pull a number and wait a bit when they are busy, which depends on day & time. Worth the wait though. They also offer beard, moustache and shave service plus a senior discount. Try them once and youll likely go again-- like I did and still do.

Solid cuts. All first come first serve. Razor line up is a great touch.

Not bad but I wont be going here after they said to return in 2 hours for the person I wanted to cut my hair, after returning 2 hours they informed me I would wait another 30 mins until the barber returned . They informed me to take a ticket so when he returns I will have a place in line.so I left and returned 1 hour later. I return to go to my barber he said I will have to wait since 2 people were ahead of me since I I left because he wasnt there even though I had a ticket that saved my spot? Pretty backwards system.

My sons had his hair cut here a few times, and its been good, but the last time I brought him in, we sat for 20 minutes without even being acknowledged, they were taking numbers at one point, and basically letting people who left and came back in front of ev everyone even after skipping their numbers. Needless to say I got frustrated and left and havent been back since. Id rather the drive to Bogies in phx.

My husband likes this place, but they dont have a whole lot of booths and they are always so busy. He says they do a good job though, so he goes often.

I was gonna wait till my second haircut but I had to share my experience. It started out bad Im not gonna lie, only because the wait was incredibly long. I will say this though, I was greeted right when I walked in, my haircut is fantastic, I was thanked for coming in, and apologized to for the wait. Good customer service with good customer care, liberty barber shop deserves this 5 star review. They know their stuff but be prepared for a wait, but its far worth it. In my opinion.

Incredibly awful service. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!After waiting an hour to get a hair cut the lady said that I would be next only to have a gentlemen walk in and immediately go in the chair I was waiting for. When I ask why am I not next, she said I had not waited long enough and the gentlemen had reserved his place an hour ago and that he got his number before me. This was as a male barber decided to take his lunch with multiple customers waiting.Being that I didnt have the time, I decided to come in the next day, today.When they had another long line, I asked if I could take a number and come back shortly 45-hour (as the guy did to me the day before). I called ahead and stated that I had number 90, may I come in and have my place in line, the lady said yes if you can be here right away we will be ready for you.As I walk in, the lady said yes you are next. When the chair becomes available, the lady then tells the gentlemen sitting next to me he could be next. Immediately I says whoa-I should be next please. She again tells me I had not waited long enough. Then the male barber becomes rude with me out of no where. I was shocked by how they were handling customers. I had waited a total of 2 hours on 2 separate days only to be told I had not waited long enough.Awful manners. Save yourself the time and take your business elsewhere.

So we moved to AZ last year and I have been upset that the barbers out here dont know how to do a fade. I am from New York (BX) and I expect nothing but a fresh cut.My husband took my son and my brother to these guys and I absolutely love the way they cut my sons hair. I love that they are from NY and that when I say fade or my husband my son didnt come out cut up. So I have officially found my sons barber and we will be loyal customers. Great barber in Surprise. When going to other places you may feel comfortable with only 1 or 2 of the barbers but here I know I can grab a number and expect quality from whoever I get.

The hair cut given to me by them was very stylish and amazing, I felt very satisfied at the end . I wanted a good formal hair cut for my interview and thats why I went to this shop, as recommended by my friend. They did a great job as I was expecting from them.

The only barber shop Ive found in the northwest valley that knows what a high and tight is. The hot towel was a bonus

Came to get my sons hair cut im from vegas an let me say very rude I asked how long is the wait the lady cutn hair said well he can do it. A chubby short guy he didnt say yes I can help you are wait 10 mins please he shook his head and kept walking around and some other lady came out from the back shoving food in her face. Very shocked Not one ounce of friendliness wow just horrible... Guess they seem to think they are the only shop on bell road well i will drive else where so anyone visiting from Vegas an Los Angeles even here look else where .. Where when you walk in the door they actually say hello how are you mean how can I help you this how long the waits gonna be not to give you dirty looks in the cold shoulder thumbs down I give a 0 stars

I had to wait too long and the price is high. For a shave and a haircut it was about 40$, which is pricey but they are good, no doubt about it! Price puts it at 2 stars

Truly amazing! Im in the military and need a good fresh cut every week, and when Im away from base I come here. They give me a nice Razer fade with lather. Afterwards they hit me up with a hot towel and a little back massage. One of the best haircuts I have had.

Terrible Customer Service. I went for an early haircut on a Saturday Morning. Barbershop was supposed to open at 9:00AM, About 10 minutes after 9:00 a female barber showed up, with her child, to open up. In the next 5 minutes two more barbers showed up and started setting up the shop for business - getting towels ready, etc. A little hint - This should be done before your scheduled opening time. At this point two of us were waiting for our haircut. Not a single employee said anything to me or the other customer waiting. The female barber then took her son and started to give him a haircut, instead of taking care of paying customers who were waiting there at the scheduled opening time. Then a third customer came in. The other gentlemen waiting let him know there was a sign-up sheet. He laughed and said No matter when I come in I am next. Sure enough the male barber finished setting up and started talking to him (obviously a friend) and motioned him to the chair. That was when I left. This was my second time to this barber. The first experience was friendlier - but poor haircut. I will not be back.

First chair and second chair know whats up. If youre military make sure they know. Its a barber shop. They will line you up.

Great spot for a cut as all the barbers are talented, i wish they had a military/student discount most places cut just as well for 20 bucks, expect to pay 25 for a basic male cut.

Hair was done right - BUT barber walked away from my chair in the middle of my haircut - without saying a word - to chat on her cell phone. 5 min later, she came back. When I complained, she offered to ELIMINATE the hot towel and massage. I was here twice before and the cut quality was 4 star as was the service. The magnitude of pure rudeness was over the top for me!
