Ive been going to Stillwater Automotive for many years now. This time, I received a standard oil change but Ive had extensive work done in the past (mostly on my truck). For the oil change, I dropped off my car in the morning and it was done by late morning (there is an option to wait, if you want). One of the things I really appreciate is the extensive list of work done but also a list of recommended service. Ive never felt pressure to do anything but I do like seeing upcoming issues or service. This gives me the option of budgeting the money or for doing some of it myself.In terms of previous work done, the pricing/quotes are pretty accurate and reasonable considering that the work has been done well. I recently had my sons truck repaired as it needed a new heater core. Having done this myself in the past (like 160 screws under the dash to access it), I was aware of the challenge and time required. I received a reasonable quote and the job was done well. I had scheduled the time to drop the truck off and it was done in 1 day. And, I might say, it was worth every cent as being upside down in the cab of a truck for half the day is exhausting.Anyways, I will end by saying that it is good to have a reliable mechanic that is honest and reasonable. Anyone who has had a bad mechanic, plumber, electrician, etc. can understand how valuable good service is. Highly recommended.

My charge light came on Friday night. I dropped off my vehicle on Saturday. Their parking lot was almost full, so I knew they had lots of cars before mine. On Tuesday, they were able to complete a warranty replacement of my alternator. They had replaced it in last year, and it was under warranty.I appreciate their honesty and integrity in dealing with me. It was a pleasure to talk with the office staff. They are always good to help me understand whats what.

My engine oil light came on and I took my car to an auto store to pick up oil. Then my car wouldn’t even start. Kayla was really calm on the phone and told me to run back into the store to get a jump. This saved me money on a tow. Once I managed to get back on the road, I headed straight to them and they checked it over. My battery was a dud and they got me taken care of right away. Very thankful for their service.

Very helpful and knowledgeable people. Charges are slightly on the higher side of things but the things they recommend of doing to your car will usually be good for it.

I appreciate how thorough they are with my vehicle. They explain everything and provide detailed resources for me to refer back to. There are employees who are dedicated to customer service, paperwork, and pricing. I never have to wait for someone to answer my call or help me when I walk in for my appointment.

The girls up front are AHHMAZING; I cant say enough good things about the customer service and work they do at Stillwater Automotive.My dad passed away last year and, like many other dads, he was the one who took care of all the vehicle/machine maintenance. I brought my car into a handful of other places before Stillwater Automotive, and almost all of them treated me like I didnt know enough (because I dont). One of the businesses even made fun of me for not knowing the name of a part. It was SO REFRESHING to call Stillwater Automotive and be talked to with respect. They take the time to explain things to me, are upfront about costs, and get the work done in a timely manner. But more than anything, I appreciate the fact that I can call them or walk in and feel comfortable and not be looked down on.

I made a appointment for 8:00 am dropped the car off . Called 11:00 they said they would get to my car after lunch. I drove by at 2:00 and my car was STILL not worked on! Not sure WHY you make an appointment if they are just going to push you back on the time they get the oil changed???? Not happy!!! I had to get my mom up early to pick me from the shop and I have a son with autism and waiting definitely isn’t something he does well with. Never have I ever had to wait more than 6 hours for a oil change!( and I had a APPOINTMENT)

Very friendly. Love the analysis from head light to tail light. Had to tow my car tow truck at my door almost as soon as I hung up the phone. I highly recommend. Very trustworthy. If I need service again I will take my car back to them. Thanks Melissa!

Came in asking for them to check 3 things. Then they bill me for 1.75 hours labor for helpfully checking my fluids and other lights that I did not mention. Cost me over $200 for a piece of paper half filled with things I already know. Total ripoff.

Had the transmission flushed. The next day the transmission line came loose and I lost most of the transmission fluid on my garage floor. Contacted Tylar and he immediately return my call. He came out the next morning and fixed the line, put fluid in it and drove it to the shop. Made the necessary repair and brought the Jeep back to me. He also cleaned the garage floor. I really appreciated how fast he fixed the problem and the fact that he took the time to clean the floor. I will have no problem returning to Stillwater Automotive.

My father has been trying to get my brothers vehicle fixed and he called and spoke with Kayla to set up an apt. She confirmed the appointment and he showed up first. She said that first come first serve. So that’s exactly what he did. He said that he was there for the appointment and was eager to get it looked at and she said “if you say so”... lots of unnecessary attitude. And basically gave my dad the run around.. said that there were 5 cars getting looked at first and that it probably wasn’t going to happen todayMixed signals much?... poor communication and bad attitude. It was so much better when Lonnie was there. We won’t be back

Last fall we bought an old car for my teen. We took it in and had coolant changed, brake fluid changed and supposed brake pedal adjustment. They said the brakes were good but trans needed to be flushed. The female person told me that even after changing trans fluid and driving around the block the fluid would be dark color. WTH ? We all know you should never flush trans fluid in an old car with no history. Well fast forward 7 months and my kid nearly had accident due to faulty front brakes. If anyone had ever looked they would have seen what the other mechanic saw. I would never recommend to anyone. Ever.

I generally do my own auto maintenance, but sometimes those things come up that you need a professionals knowledge or tools.I know enough about auto repair to know they are not ripping me off or over charging for their work. They keep me informed of what theyre doing and get my permission before going forward with repairs. I have always been pleased with the service I have received from them.They will continue to be my first stop for repairs I cant do myself.

We have all our mechanical work done here. NEVER any issues with shoddy work. Recently had a dont know why this is doing that with a transmission flush. They stood by their work, tracked down the issue (took a couple of weeks) and even reimbursed for a rental. Good communication and they were never condescending or blaming. We will never use anyone else.

They’re SCAMMERS. You go and ask for one simple thing to be looked at on your car and they do all this extra stuff without asking you and then charge you for it. Don’t go here unless you want to be scammed out your money.

They knew we were from out of town so they charged us way to much money to fix the car and then it broke down several more times on our trip... We final found out that the broke a clip on the car the keeps the alternater plugged into the engine!

Because they had good reviews, we thought that our 19 year old daughter would not be taken advantage of. We were wrong. She went in to have her brakes checked and oil changed, they gave her an estimate of over $400. Would not recommend them to anyone.

When my check engine light came on, I went right to the shop without calling. They did not have room that day. They did read the code to make sure it was safe to drive. After finding out it was okay to drive, I booked the next appointment.They recommended the necessary repairs at a very good price.I will not take my vehicles anywhere else!

The staff was nice, but I got an oil change and they didn’t tighten the drain plug all the way so my car was slowly dropping oil. When I called, they were super understanding and willing to top off my oil! Good experience, just a little issue, but nothing that can’t be addressed and fixed!

Great place and was a surprise as to how integrated they are with technology unlike other shops. I received a full file online of all the work done and work they recommend i get done on my car like transmission fluid and power steering as well as my suspension. Very useful and friendly place!!!

This is an extremely easy garage to work with. They have a very good computer system that keeps things fairly organized. They send alerts with your diagnosis; they even send you a photo of your car. I will definitely return for more service on my vehicle in the near future.

I took my vehicle here to have the air conditioner inspected. After I got it back, the air conditioner was worse than when I took it to them. The technician was pretty sure it needed a certain part. After another $153 for that, it still doesnt work. I dont have any more money for them to guess what part my car needs.They also found a coolant leak and quoted $400 for a hose that I could get directly from the Chevy dealer for about $95.

I go here mainly for oil changes and they always get it done super fast and they dont break the bank. I recently went here for a battery issue and they were able to find the problem and install a new battery in just a few hours. They gave me a ride back to campus so I could make it to classes while they worked and they even picked me up when my car was ready. 10/10 great people and great service.

Great customer service and technical service. Labor rate is very reasonable. Im grateful that they didnt just throw parts to it like other shops Ive used before. They did forget to call and let me know my vehicle was done but they do stay very busy so it is completely understandable. If you dont hear from them, you can always call or go by. If you do have less than a great experience, please let them know so they can try to make it right before leaving a bad review. Bottom line is that my truck didnt work when I had it towed to them and now it does. Plus my son is happy that he no longer has to ride around in a mini van.

Wonderful service. I love the service report. It contains video or photos of what is wrong, recommendations for routine service, and reports on other items that should be addressed (such as a belt showing wear or a dash light that needs diagnostics). There is no pressure to get everything fixed immediately, but the information is there and costs are available so that you can plan. The staff is extremely helpful and kind. They even offer transportation from the shop to work/home when dropping off your car and offer to provide pick-up service when the car is ready as well. I was blown away and highly recommend them.

Lonnie, the owner, is on the premises and active in the care of vehicle. Offer of being driven home or work is given when I dropped my pickup off for repair. When appointment made, staff asks how the vehicle is acting. I am updated on care. The waiting area is clean. I have used this shop several times, with satisfaction.

These guys work hard and are thorough in their repairs and reports.It took me a while to find a good place in Stillwater for car repairs, but once I took my baby to Stillwater Automotive, I was confident that it was in good hands. Lonny, Robbie and everyone else that works there make you feel comfortable with the process, be it an oil change or whatever.Their prices are fair, and they are efficient without cutting corners. For as long as I am in Stillwater, I will trust them with any repair or maintenance that needs to be done on my vehicle. They take pride in their work and in their reputation across the community. For me, there really is no other reason to look anywhere else.

Great service. Went in for an oil change. Received quality and timely service. No pressure to perform additional services (which is what I want, when I need to have an oil change!).

By far the worst service I have ever had. I had a bad brake line and was told that it would cost $300 to fix. A few days later Lonnie called a key and said it was going to be a little more than expected. When I went in to pick up my car I was given a bill for $1600. I was blindsided and to make matters worse when I got in my car the brakes still weren’t done right. DO NOT GO HERE!

These guys have been in the car business for a long time. They are knowledgeable. They hire and keep good techs. Their prices are fair and they stand behind their work. Theyll even give you a ride to work if you need one. Cant go wrong.

They are always very friendly when i walk through the door and they help me with any kind of problem I have. Even when I just need an oil change, I ask them to look things over and let me know if there is anything that needs fixed, they do it without charging me extra! I highly recommend them to anyone! This place seems to have a good staff, but Im not impressed with the practice of charging for services without informing the customer beforehand. I brought my vehicle in for a brake check, and they did a very thorough diagnostic of the vehicle. However, I didnt ask for a full diagnostic and wasnt informed that I would be charged for one when I dropped it off. I understand that the technicians need to be paid, but I have never been charged for a break check before and didnt expect it at this establishment.When they quoted the price for service, it was triple what other local shops would charge for the same service (this was after they finished the unwanted diagnostic). I dont doubt the quality of the work they perform, but the fact that they werent up front about the cost of service makes me dubious of going back. In any industry, it should be standard practice to be honest with your customers.

Second time I have had to take my vehicle to Stillwater Automotive for major repairs. I cannot say enough about them, they are exceptional in every way. From their customer service to the timeliness they exceed my expectations every time!!! Will not take my vehicles anywhere else.

Well I liked this business until today. I came in to get a light checked on my vehicle. I made it clear I did not want anything done that was going to cost. Robbie said it would cost approx. $40-$80 to get it fixed, okay not bad for any repair. He asked me whether I would like them to look at the car to see what the root of the problem was I said yes thats fine. About an hour later once the car was put back to together Robbie said I owed them $86, are you kidding me? $86 just to look at my vehicle that is ridiculous.If I wouldve known that I would have NEVER let them touch my vehicle. I made it clear I did not want nothing done that would cost me. I paid the amount to get my car & kept my anger under control. Who in their right mind would pay $86 to have a person look at their car. I should have went somewhere else.They need to make things clear that everything they do cost I am beyond upset & I will not be returning to them for any further business EVER. I will go somewhere where they take what I say into consideration instead of taking advantage of me.

He also gave me a complete run down of what was going on with her car and what could be done, should be done, or what could wait to be fixed.No doubt in my mind they are a top notch service people and I greatly appreciate how they handled the entire situation!

They were fast, friendly, and explained what they were doing/did before and after. After the diagnostic, they suggest things you need done for your car but wont do anything until you tell them to and keep a list for you.

I think everyone hates finding a local mechanic to service their vehicle, but everyone loves finding one they trust and does good work. I found that with Stillwater Auto Repair. I was leaking coolant something terrible and they quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it. After I got my truck back, I noticed it still leaked. A hose clamp had failed, they took responsibility, fixed that for free and sent me on my way. I will be back for sure.

Great service and I love the detailed reports they send you when theyre finished. The owner also follows up with you a few days later to make sure everything is ok. Have taken countless vehicles here and will continue to do so.
