The entire laundromat smelled like cigarette smoke, and now so do my freshly washed clothes. To add to that I saw no signs encouraging mask use for COVID-19, and no one in the bar (where the restrooms are) was wearing one, including the employee (though she was nice at least). About half of the dryers were out of service which wasnt a problem for me, as it was not busy when I was there, but if it was busy I could see that being a real issue. The price to wash clothes was $4.50 in the cheapest front-loader (about 40 gallons?) for about 14 minutes of washing. The front-loader next to it was $5.50 for 25-ish minutes (the deluxe wash) and the same drum size. Drying is 25¢ for every 7 minutes. While I could maybe overlook the other stuff, the fact that my clothes now smell like smoke entirely defeats the purpose of me going to wash them, and also indicates to me that there is very poor air filtration in the laundry room which means it is not safe for COVID-19 (there were people there not wearing masks). Not only is it not worth it for me to come back, but its also dangerous and I will be avoiding the place at all costs. Terribly disappointing.
Clean dryers work great.
Dont know what happened lately but half the machines arent working and got very busy.Update, still my goto spot for my large items. I think they added another front loader wash machine. unfortunately the prices went up on the washers and driers.
The machines are new and well-kept, everything is clean, and usually isnt very busy at all. These are all really great things. But the smell from the kitchen tends to interfere with my clean laundry, so all my clothes wind up smelling like fried food. I prefer to go after the kitchen closes.
