This place has dramatically increased my third graders interest in math. She actually WANTS to do math practice now. Its amazing to not have to cajole every step of the way. Scott and his staff do a great job executing a clearly proven system.

Scott and his team have been a blessing to my sons education, my sixth and tenth grader been with Mathnasium for more than 5 years and I can’t express how grateful we are with their services. My tenth grader is taking college level calculus this summer and my sixth grader is taking advanced math already. I highly and strongly recommend Scott and his team at Mathnasium.

Scott and his team are amazing. Both of my daughters love going there. They learn math and they learn how to save money(punch cards) to get prizes!

I love Mathnasium and Scott!!! My sons both attended the Mill Valley location, ranging in grades 3rd to the summer entering 9th. One needed more help than the other and the programs are individually designed, different treatment plans for different needs. For us the monthly plans worked out better, financially speaking. There is no question whatsoever that Mathnasium improved both my sons Math grades in school. Highly recommend! (As an aside we found it was quite easy to arrange carpools with other students after school. )

Jacob has been going to Mathnasium for almost a year now and is absolutely in love with Scott and all of the tutors.We make math make sense - this statement intrigued me and prompted our family to call Mathnasium. When we met Scott for the first time, we shared our disappointment about the way math was being presented in schools. My brother has had different math tutors since second grade because we felt he would never know the fundamentals of mathematics without some extra help.In second grade, Jacob was introduced to the Singapore Math Method. My mom took him to San Francisco every Saturday for the last two years. That program taught Jacob to understand word problems and solve them with logic. After Jacob took the first assessment at Mathnasium, the results showed that many concepts were never covered in the Singapore Math Program. The individualized learning plan at Mathnasium was the right choice for Jacob to excel in math.Jacob looks forward going to Mathnasium; he gets a lot of personalized attention and motivation. All the instructors are well trained and dedicated to the program. Scott makes sure the atmosphere is warm and interesting for all the children. He is very passionate about every childs achievement and success. Our son loves Mathnasium. While he does not like math at school, he really enjoys learning math at Mathnasium. Scott and his staff do an excellent job in explaining concepts, motivating the kids to try hard and rewarding them for their accomplishments. Mathnasium is fantastic. My daughter was struggling with Math and began to hate it. We were recommended to go by a friend and she said that Mathnasium would make a difference. My daughter absolutely loves it and begs to go there after school and on weekends. My son went from C+s to consistent As in math, and hes continued the As into High School. To our surprise he has no problems or complaints when its time to head to Mathnasium. Scotts got some great incentive programs for the kids. Just a great program with a great atmosphere and oversight.

Both of my sons have benefitted greatly from Mathnasium over the years. Indeed, I credit Mathnasium for not only skillfully teaching and supporting them in their math studies, but actually instilling a love and enthusiasm for it! I never thought my kids would actually be excited about learning math, but Scott and his team achieved just that. I couldn’t ask for more.

My 12 year old son does not like to do homework and is not the fastest math student in the world, yet he never complains and actually likes going to Mathnasium twice a week. Its a very nice, quiet environment with a great group of patient instructors. Scott knows everyone by name and has taken a fun approach of teaching math for kids. It is summer time and my kids are still asking to go to Mathnasium. They are eager to keep learning and not experience the brain drain that summer can bring. My high school kid would rather go to Mathnasium than practice driving... Need I say more...

My 6 year-old daughter loves Mathnasium. In the first 6 months, she had lots progress and moved up fast . Then she was reluctant to continue to learn maths there anymore. She felt hard to learn. I told this to the owner Sccot and he adjusted the level .My daughter gradually gains the interest back. Even in this Thanksgiving weeks she still asks me to take her to Mathnasium and told me she loves maths.

I highly recommend the program. My sixth grader changed his study habits in all hi classes based on the study habits Mathnasium has taught him. His grades in every class have improved.

Mathnasium has helped give my son confidence in Math and allowed him to ask for help. In the past I believe he felt intimidated and embarrassed. His Math performance has improved in school and I would like to think this is due to his Mathnasium attendance.

I’m so happy I discovered Mathnasium when searching for a math tutor at the beginning of the summer. My 10 year-old son struggled with math in 4th grade. He really likes Scott and all the Mathnasium tutors, and looks forward to going there 2-3x week. His confidence in math is improving and he is doing much better in math in 5th grade.

Excellent - my daughter learnt 4 units this summer and her tutor was really good at teaching her the material and made the lessons enjoyable.

My son is 13 and has always been a good student and works hard to complete his homework. He gets good grades in math (which was often a struggle at home). His Star testing was never high and I felt he didnt really have a good understanding of the practical applications of Math. He could follow steps but was lost with story problems. Mathnasium has helped him tremendously! He loves to go and is very happy to work with Scott and the other instructors there. I feel Mathnasium is getting him ready for High School. It has made a world of difference to us, I cant reccommend it highly enough!

My daughter is in 3rd grade at a public elementary school in Mill Valley and has been doing Mathnasium since the beginning of second grade. I have been really impressed with the attention they provide, their ability to make math fun, and the problem solving skills approach that they are teaching her as to how to best approach a math program.I specifically went with Mathnasium over a program like Kumon, with which Im familiar, as I felt that Kumon is very much worksheet driven and much about rote memory. Mathnasium really breaks down how best to tackle a specific math problem by teaching some core math fundamental and distilling whats being asked in the math problem. My daughter looks forward to going to Mathnasium which I love and I feel that she is getting a lot of personalized attention that is serving her well.The owner seems very dedicated and is looking to grow his program and I think its a great additional math program to supplement what is being taught in school. I also think its a great program for making kids math skills very solid for future more complex math and or for children who are looking to get ahead in math.
