I’ve been to this Salon 3 times now. The first time I got just a cut and it was fine. No problems there. But then I went back a week later to get color done. I showed Jessica what I wanted a blond with a reddish-Auburn color highlights. I said more then once I wanted more blonde then the red color. When she was done I was a orange hair with some few blonde highlights. So I left and by the time I got home I called the salon to complain. It was a very hard thing for me to do because I’m just not that type of person. It’s hard for me to complain about things. So the lady at the desk said her manager said to come in Free of charge to have more blonde put in. So a few days later I go in and have it fixed. (By the same lady, Jessica) and AGAIN I walk out of that salon with red hair and a few blonde highlights!!!!! The only thing she fixed was the orange color. She made it look like The Auburn color I asked for in the first place. Still no more blonde!!! I left and cried on my way home. Will not go back to her again.

Jessie B was a breath of fresh air. She was so professional, so quick and so kind. I cant give her enough praises honestly. Just go see her for all your waxing and facial needs...you will not be disappointed.

Very unprofessional. Do not work here. Doesnt even train newcomers and lets them go after 3 days. Lets you go over the phone...Im telling everyone to stay clear of this next ghtmare of a business. You actually get people who wants to work when so many people are living on unemployment. A true shame!

I love this salon. The staff here are super professional and they really emphasize education. Ive come here for years and cant recommend them highly enough. These are the types of people Id trust to fix another salons mistakes.

Do not go for beaded extensions. i have had numerous issues with this location not being able to listen to my request on what to do with my hair. Quite a shame.

Very disappointed. I spent 184 dollars for a highlights and did not change color like I wanted.

Javita and staff are always great to me! Javita is that special person who cares about everyone especially her clients! She makes you feel (and look:) like a Billion Buck$! On a side note, BJs always offers you complimentary beverage when you arrive and makes you feel valued while waiting.

Was charged an additional $15 to blow dry and “straighten“ my hair after my haircut. My hair was still wet at the roots and wavy throughout. Had to go home an restraighten it was a flat iron that actually gets hot. I am sure it’s very stylist dependent, but I selected one with a “higher level of training” and yet she had a straightening iron with no heat. Will not be returning as it was a waste of time and money.

Javita Martin is amazing! She nails the look Im after ever time. Her knowledge and skill with color is the best I have come across. She made my hair look so beautiful on my wedding day as well.

Always amazing service

I went there April 8th to get a full removal and a week later my hair was back, like I never even got a wax. I had not got around to call them due to my work schedule so I called them today. They told me I was pass the grace days and they couldn’t do nothing about it. I’ve been going to get waxed on the regular and I’ve never had this problem before. Normally after getting a wax your suppose to go back 4-6 weeks later. My hair was back a week later. Paying $95 plus tip is a bit much to have hair growing back a week later. I wouldn’t recommend no one going there. I had a terrible experience

It is expensive, but its worth it. You get what you pay for -- excellent service and excellent results. I recommend Crystal Barnes and Crystal Merritt. They both take the time to make sure they understand exactly what your expectations are and always are willing to go the extra mile to be sure youre happy with the results.

My all time favorite spa in town for nails! Staff longevity very good resulting in great service!!! Have tried many other less expensive nail salons in Springfield but after a bad experience, I only go to BJ now and Nicki is my favorite!!!

Celina does both my hair and my sons. She is perfect. I get a cut with blonde highlights and my son gets his multi cultural hair cut. I dont have to worry about her cutting too much off as I did with stylist at other salons in the past.

Very friendly staff however they are not familiar with African American natiral hair. I received a deep conditioning/flat iron. It took forever. It was not straight.. The bill was $300. Are you serious? Needless to day I was an unsatisfied customer. 😠

I called to get a shellac manicure. I was told it was going to be $33. I thought that was a little pricey, but kept the appointment. Katie got nail polish on my skin, and didnt clean it all off. Then I went to check out, and was charged $36. I stated that I was told it was going to be $33. The receptionist said in a snotty way, Sorry, but thats wrong.

Employees where not very friendly or helpful, I had large amount of gift cards to use but decided not to spend all of it. I might try another store.......the employees where more worried about themselves then me.

Pedicure was great! The receptionists were awful! Talking, whispering and laughing about clients shame on you! Expected a lot more than this.

The one on 6th street is the best! Front desk people greet you with a smile. They double check on your appointments and make sure they set it up correct. While your waiting they dont stand at the front and gossip like the one out west. It runs much better on 6th street. When I went to the one out west at times I would wait 5 minutes after my appointment time for service. This hasnt happened at all with 6th street BJs. When your buying products the girls on 6th street know or quickly check for you on prices. They check and see who takes care of you and ask would you like the credit put on your stylist or did someone eles help you? At the one out west one of the nail techs had told me about one of the hair care product which I purchased. I asked the girl to give her the credit and she told me it should go with the person who does my hair. After messing up three appointment times over three months I moved with the 6th street BJS. Ive been very happy with the service.
